I have a Gadspot N1250 IP camera which is directly connected to my local network.
My HTC is also connected to the same network which means there is no firewall between 2 devices.
I am trying to access the camera's video stream through my HTC Hermes.
I can access the administration web page of the camera with URL :
http://192.168.254.25
I can login through that page but the camera view does not show up.
On PC, after logging in I can see the Video stream with an ActiveX component which is directly installed to my IE over the cam's web page.
I can also reach the IP cam video stream using VLC player with a URL like:
rtsp://192.168.254.25:554/video.mp4
But neither with Pocket IE , nor with Pocket Media Player I couldn't reach following urls:
rtsp://192.168.254.25:554/video.mp4
http://192.168.254.25
I am looking for any solution (new software, URL) to reach the IP cam.
Can anyone advise me what to do ?
Thanks.
It also works through Windows Media Player with URL:
rtsp://192.168.254.25:554/video.3gp
But I still could not find a URL for WM6.
Any guess ?
Hi!
I have a N1250 wireless IP Camera, however after installing it, I have a black screen when running it with IE6 (Win XP ScePK2) and typing the Cam IP address on the address bar.
I allowed/enabled all the active x scripts on Tools/Options IE, but it is still a very nice black screen!!. I'm using a wireless router Linksys.
As a note the active x that came with the cd was already installed.
I tried FireFox and Netscape, but they seem to be worse: there is no camera screen at all! all the page is white.
So what to do next??
Anyone has an idea??
do you see it on PC ?
I mean where is the blank scren problem ?
On PC or on HTC ?
HTC Video Ip cameras
Mrmrmrmr,
Had the same issue a while years back. We internally needed to see different cameras , behind firewalls , multiple locations, password protected, corporate VPN's, PTZ etc. So we built it into a product that did more than just cameras, but it was for internal use only.
We have finally recieved the ok to release the camera only version. The geeks in this group get to help this community out.
This release will always have a free IP camera input. One to see your favorite petcam, your childs daycare center, your favorite beach cam, your home/office security IP cam etc.

Please let us know if this helps. Also which phones you had good success with or tested it with.
Thx
Thanks; I will try this asap.
Hi L4z3r,
I'e tried your software but it seems that it does not have support for my camera.
I use a Gadspot N1250 which supports mjpeg but I couldn't connect to the camera neither by http://192.168.254.25 nor http://192.168.254.25/index2.htm
I also tried rtsp link to the cam but nothing happened.
interestingly, the software does not pop up any error messages.
Just nothing.

The URL needs to be the full URL to the image location itself and not the page that it appears on, sorry for any confusion. The README should contain the appropriate steps, but basically go to the page on your computer where the JPG or MJPEG stream is viewable, right click the image and select properties. This should bring up a information box with the full url of the image (should in .jpg, .mjpg, or something similar; although I have seen it as a .cgi but I had to view the page source to find that one, .cgi usually lets you pass parameters such as video size you want it). But if it's not a Axis or Panasonic, you will need to enter the full URL of the image location, select "Other" for camera manufacture, and make sure it's the appropriate stream type (MJPEG is handled differently than JPEG). If it is an Axis or Panasonic, please do not enter the image location, just do the IP or DNS name (192.168.0.100 or yourdnsname.com:8080 (this is how you do a camera who is set up on a different port than the standard 80)).
I have seen a problem with larger images, like ones that are ~640x480 or larger. rollins2, if you could let me know what type of camera you are using, I can try to help more. Plus if we see a lot of demand for a type of camera, we may be able to add support for it.
Hope this helps, and please do read the README, it has some helpful tips on getting started with the app.
In case anyone is still interested, I also have a gadspot camera N1250 and was trying to figure out running it on my cell phone for years. I had a second kid born this week and put up the camera in his room and finally was able to stream it and view still images from my nokia phone. The still images are ran with the standard phone web browser. However, the streaming is running via realplayer that was included with the phone, using your method similar to rtsp://192.168.254.25:554/video.3gp.
I think any phone with a realplayer will be able to play the streaming video since it usually works with windows.
That being said, the above method does not work on Windows Media Player for some reason, however, I am fine streaming with EI.
Moved you over from rom dev to software.
Peace

Re: Orange Update
How is the Flash Player, was it upgraded to 10?? Adobe site won't support update as you know. You can't even go on youtube and play anything in their normal web page version. It tells you that you have to upgrade the flash player. Youtube only works via the mobile site version, which I don't like, as you don't have the facility to re-arrange the search to 'most recent', and even on those lists plenty don't play for me. Has anyone gone on to the normal youtube and had any joy playing it from their pages as opposed to the HTC viewer? Since the update?
The flash player was not updated, but I have no issues playing videos in either the mobile or desktop version of the site. However, I seldom use either because the quality is not as good as that in the YouTube application.
Regards,
Dave
That's really strange, it's never let me view them from the desktop version, Always says I need to upgrade my flash........ which of course it won't let me do.
Have you applied the update yet? As far as I'm aware there were no updates to Flash (it certainly isn't Flash 10 yet), but it is possible some changes were made elsewhere.
Regards,
Dave
Thank you Dave, No I've not done it yet, wouldn't actually know where to start as of yet.
Even in the HTC youtube app there are many vids it won't play.
Can you give an example that I can find, so I can test it out on my Hero. Thus far, I've not found anything that doesn't play but then again I'm hardly a prolific YouTuber!
Cheers,
Dave
anything from the desk top version of youtube always says, you must upgrade your flash player, links to Adobe, then the usual... too many server redirects message that I always get no matter which site diverted me there
Hello,
I have been trying to access a website on my T-Mobile G2 Touch phone (with firmware 2.1) but have not been having much luck. I've downloaded various different browsers (Skyfire, Opera, Dolphin) but none of them seem to be able to load the site content.
The content I'm trying to load is a google gadget table which I think is running in Javascript.
I have tried this site on a 2.3 Android phone (HTC Desire HD) and the content loads on this phone.
Is this a 2.1 issue and if so is there a way of fixing it so I can view this?
Many Thanks
I am rather confused here. I have an Android TV computer (Neo X5) and a Samsung Note N7000. The Neo runs 4.2.2 and the Note 4.1.2 both are rooted (not that I think this matters here).
I am having difficulties streaming video from web sites in some cases. Sometimes the video begins to play and then locks up or just spins doing nothing forever. In other cases, I am told by the browser that the plugin is not supported. Worse still, this varies not only by browser but by device (some browsers work on one device while they fail on other devices - using the exact same web page for the video source).
I have installed Dolphin, Chrome, Opera, and Firefox. I have Flash 11.x installed. It seems like all of the sources are sending Flash. At least when I load the same pages into FF on my Windows XP computer the player is clearly Flash (I can right click on the player and see the Flash version).
I am testing using the following:
video.pbs.org
startrek.com/video
billmoyers.com/video
Can anyone explain this odd behavior? I am in the USA so location shouldn't be an issue. Right now I have all the browsers installed and get by using the ones that work for each site. But this seems crazy to me.
Thanks.
Perhaps a step in answering my own question:
Well, I found this list of browsers on Android supporting Flash <http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2234684> which is informative. Then I did some noodling around looking at the page source for each of the video sources I am trying to run (PBS, StarTrek, Bill Moyers). Of these, only StarTrek is clearly trying to run the Flash player. PBS seems to be using something called JWPlayer <http://www.jwplayer.com/>. And Bill Moyers seems to be using something called PowerPress Player <http://create.blubrry.com/resources/powerpress/using-powerpress/>. It seems as if these last 2 may be downloadable plugins that are not Flash after all (which is strange because when I run the same videos successfully in FF on Windows all are clearly using the Flash Player). So maybe I am finding that these last two items are simply not compatible with the various browsers.
What I still am finding hard to understand is why my results vary by device. But it may be Android version differences of some sort instead of something different in the device itself. I also suppose that the version of the browser apps may vary by device and/or Android version and maybe as such the pages delivered to the browser based upon user-agent, etc may be different and this could explain why things differ.
Hello all,
Quite stumped here I have a Motorola Moto E and when i goto a certain website showing billiards/pool scores, it's showing me the outdated pdf.
When clicking on (1801) Western Monday Pool LEAGUE SCORE PDF (http://www.mwcoin.com/index.php?mod=Pages&page_id=141) on my droid it brings up the pdf but it is not current. It’s showing a filename of 4562.pdf and the league results of the week of 1/25/2016 not the current pdf ( 2/8/2016) that shows up on my and others devices. (other droids i own, multiple laptops/ PCs) .
I’ve tried clearing the droids internet cache/history, installing adobe reader, and clearing all pdf’s in history, rebooting device, installing firefox, also tried chrome.
But nothing seems to be working, everytime i goto to this site and click on the pdf it's showing a pdf from 1/25 not the current one 2/8/2016
Any assistance would be appreciated
Thanks in advance!
anyone experience this before?
bump please
