I have spent a lot of time getting all the pieces of this ROM together i have re-skinned some
of the apps so it all comes together this version is about Finger Friendliness so that you
can use your stylus less and use your fingers more
Please follow these instructions if you want the Today weather to work
1/ Install the ROM as usual hard reset after successful flash
2/ When the phone first boots an error will appear to do with weather morts blah blah just click ok and ignore this Message.
3/ Goto weather tab and setup for your Home weather if yours is not in the list use weather Cities editor in the tools folder.
4/ Next goto tools folder and run mortscrip (double tap icon)
5/ Restart your device it will the boot and the Today screen weather will be showing and working

I think that you have your Prophet connected with to Active sync with the USB cable!?
Unplug the cable and it will be OK.

Problems after flashing.
Hi Wap!
I have now flashed your latest ROM and have som minor problems.
The clock doesn't update correctly. After the minutes changes the minute markers change on the screen but right after that the minute digits disapear and the field gets white. If I change tab the minute digits come back but only until the minutes are updated again. It seems like every action triggers the digits to show, starting an app and the close it and the digits are back.
I tried to make a screen capture bt that also triggers the digits to come back.
I took a picture with a ****ty camera and included the picture.
The weater function on the today scren doeasn't work, even though I choose a city from the list and ran the Mort script. It even disabled the touchflo for some reason. I had to make a hard reset to get the touchflo back. The weather tab functions like it should and shows the weather.
Any suggestions!?
Other than that it's a very fast ROM for having so many apps and functions!

Your icon is inactive because you are connected to active sync try disconnecting then trying wifi it works i have been testing this ROM for a while now

I find it hard enough to try to get these roms working and released without wasting more time uploading half finished projects that's why i wait release then fix problems if needed
But judging by the last release this build has a good track record so this new version should be pretty trouble free

i had only a few minor bugs..
The biggest is that on manila, doesnt start internet explorer from the tab when i push on launch browser..
I only could start internet explorer going through start/programs/conection/internert explorer...
Could you say where is pointing the manila tab launch browser and i will try to copy there the internet explorer executable there??...
i have same problem on The clock on home, it goes to blank when have to change and dont return until i push some button than suddenly appears..
And some times when refresh goes to meridian hours, and after a second come back to my setting +1 hour Paris, Madrid....

1. sound will disapear if tapping more then 30 numbers on the Phone dial pad ( workaround: We have disabled the sound when tapping) working on a fix

this rom doesn't have as many pre installed application as Touch V7. It doesn't have the cube or dialer touch pad also it's using the original comm manager. this rom is for those who like a lite ROM. later on I will make customization cab so users can change the overall theme of this rom or if anyone wants to make those cab i will be happier
I can't say anything about the speed. you have to test both and then find it out yourself.
releasing the Crystal V1 was all about the choice. there is no better and worth as black is not better than blue or blue is not better than any other color.
all i can say is these two roms are bug free and they are very stable !

hmm..i like features mentioned above and must admit Touch is nothing but a nuisance to me. How is the speed, memory consumption and battery life? I am planning to migrate from Gullum v6 to this version.

They are looked alike but not the same, they built with different release version of WM6.
Anyone can share the performance of this crystal ROM ?

Prophet Touch VII: I can't press "Comm" button to activate Communication Manager. No matter how, nothing appears. Also I can't begin flashing using WWE_AKU2.15_(Official) and PDAMobiz Step 1. The DOS windows shows some error saying that the host something has disconnected. It's after the 3 partitions texts appeared for ~ 1-2 mins. I can successfully flash VII only with PDAViet_Temp.
Crystal V1: I would like to use the plain WM6 so I strick to Crystal. Comm button is OK. I can flash Crystal with WWE_AKU2.15(Official), PDAMobiz Step 1 and PDAViet_Temp. Using WWE_AKU2.15(Official) I experience freezing after I turn-on BT and my Prophet get into standby mode (after 2-3 mins of no activity). The green and blue lights are still blinking but I can't press turn-on button to use the screen.
I will try more. I will use PDAViet_Temp to begin. I will try all without BetteryStatus installed.
I don't know what it is that people can't seem to understand.. The loosing Outlook settings is NOT A BUG ! As soon as the settings has been set you will have to soft reset the device, BUT NOT WITH STYLUS! Use psshutxp or similar software to soft reset the phone, THEN the settings will be saved..
People keep complaining about this "bug", but it will never be fixed as it is not a bug..
Btw very very nice rom! The most stable i have tried so far.. ! God work Gullum and HMA4 !

exactly about the reset thing
and when in doubt, add this exe to your device and run it off of it (and yes it works on WM 6, but of course this is uber old news)
BTW thanks hma4 and gullum...i look forward to using this ROM, although not until you release that add on hma4..i just want plain...i use SPB Mobile shell 1.5, so the plainer the better You guys r0xx0r teh b1g one!!!!1111

That's on purpose. If you read carefully, you will see that Gullum wrote that the Comm button is assigned to AltTab and when you hold it, it shuts down your running programs. With the Launcher and/or Cube, there is no need for a harware button to be assigned.

The Wait is Over. Its finally here!! Athena Project Black Touch Edition by PK 2.0[added battery fix test cab to page 43 9/19]
This ROM is what u guys have been waiting for and requested. It is the best of the Athena Project ROM series. The best part of this rom is we have gotten a exclusive license from teksoftco.com to put in there FingerTouch keyboard into this rom. This is the best keyboard you can get for the athena and its in this rom and is the full version. They also made it work for all realvga dpi and customized it for us. thanx to Teksoft again.
Whats new u ask??Well heres the list:

PocketCM removed and stock contacts is back.
Tray App removed due to problems.
Shantz Today Changer removed and cab in addons. had problems and it made space for other stuff.
no more reg edit for extended rom(caused activesync problems on dopod devices)

vue flo fixed(had bug where u couldnt use it in opera)
all office apps should now work and load much better

removed games to provide space for realvga and keyboard.

After about 2 weeks of testing and waiting for ok to release this new build Athena Project Black Touch 3.0 has been unleashed.
Before i discuss whats in the rom i would like to thank everyone for all the donations. I will have my x7500 for 2 weeks now on monday. Now i would also like to introduce cmonex to the Athena Project Team. She is a very known hp modder and will be a great asset to this group especially with her low level modding skills. We would of mentioned me getting my athena before but we needed for more donations to come through as ltxda used his own cash to get cmonex a device. This shows how commited he is to the project. We ask if u enjoy 3.0 that u donate to the athena project so ltxda could recieve the funds back he put into cmonex's device. Again we like to extend a warm welcome to our newest member cmonex.Now back to 3.0

Tips/Updates (by ltxda):
- Save As enhancement. Go to Settings, System, select File Dialog Changer and check "Exchange Standard File Dialog". This changes out the standard Save As window and provides an enhancement where you can choose any folder/subfolder on your device and navigate the structure when trying to save files from any source.
- Battery/Memory indicators at top of screen. Each bar is started by its own file in the Startup folder. The "qwertyMemory.lnk" file runs the Memory indicator and can be disabled by deleting or moving this file out of the StartUp folder. The "dciBattery.lnk" file runs the Battery indicator which is the top bar and can be disabled by deleting or moving this file out of the StartUp folder.
- FingerTouch Keyboard: By default keyboard option 5 is selected. If you prefer QWERTY go into the input options and change the default keyboard layout.
- Messenger Mobile: The issues previously reported by other users and noticed by myself seems to have been "fixed". The MSN network sucks BUT Messenger Mobile seems to be dealing with connection drops and synching of contacts better than in previous versions/releases.
- Today Screen: All/default plugs have been deactivated. Just go to Settings, Personal, Today and go to the Items tab to reactivate what you want.
- Reminders: I'm annoyed by the constant reminder notifications after the initial notice. To disable this annoyance go to Settings, Personal, Sounds & Notifications, Notifications tab, select Reminders from the drop down and uncheck "Repeat". Not sure if this bothers anyone else but it really annoyed me and I've seen a couple of posts asking how to disable this.
- wkTask: Two nice features...of course they are in the manual...to get back to Today screen from any program....click-hold the area where the X typically is and drag left. This takes you right back to the Today screen. To minimize the current app, click-hold the X area and drag down. Very useful little program that has replaced Magic Button for me. Also allows per app control. Thanks Hirad for the recommendation! Also, This resides in the area where the X typically sits to close programs, etc. Start wkTask from Programs, click and hold the "X" area and go into preferences for wkTask. Make sure it's set to autostart by going to Startup tab and clicking the corresponding button. This is a great task manager.
- Vijay555's VJCandela: It's been reported on other threads that prolonged activation of the flash light LED may cause it to burn out so use at your own risk. I have used it without problems. Comes in very handy. Also great for blinding your enemies before an attack! ;-p
- Audio Mananger skin can be installed by taking the files out of the rar in the addons and copying into your Windows folder overwriting previous files.
- To get the look show above for htc home, please install htc home customizer and select alien ice clock, iphone-alt icons, transparent background, and stardock weather icons.
- HTC Home customizer that is in the addons has a problem where once u install it it'll look to download the cab for htc home but errors out with error "Plugin Not Found. Plugin was not installed. Please report this error." We included in the addons the cab for htchome found on emunutz's site. please install this cab first then start up the customizer.
- (added 10/29/07) to change default layout of teksoft's fingertouch please so to start/settings/input and click on options. change defaultkb to the option u usually use(1 for me).

I was under the impression that AP has reserved the first two posts to list the details of the ROM and the addons, so I'm sure they'll be posted on their release when it's ready :-D... to which I, along with many others, eagerly await :-D

na we are i believe using ltxda's site for the upload. will be a fast connection then and available for everyone. hmm i think im gonna update the first post right now with details and try to get access to upload.
info for 3.0 and screenies added to first and 2nd post. Links are coming whenever ltxda finds time to come on and upload the rom. i would upload to my own site but they are currently having problems and the connection is unstable and slow.

sorry 5.1 build 1449. got it from ext rom of a wm6 on here. i doubt v6 is on any ext rom but once it is ill add that in. im only including anything thats from wm6 roms from htc, dopod, etc... bc it is htc licensed and anything freeware.
This is my Raphael ROM, customized to my liking, so I decided to share it here. Thanks have to go out to all the great chefs here, who share their knowledge and OEMs
This ROM contains all the latest speed tweaks to make it the fastest possible. I like my phone to be responsive and I can' stand it when it when it's sluggish. Therefore I did everything possible to improve responsiveness and as you will see in the comments in this thread, this ROM flies!
I also threw in some eye candy, mainly a "crystal" clock, so you can actually see the background picture on your homescreen, I updated all the icons in the ROM from the new Windows Mobile 6.5 builds and changed the HTC green to blue, throughout the ROM.
UC (User Customization) is also cooked in, so you can install your own .cabs and .xml provisioning files after you flash the ROM, automatically. I suggest you look into it as it's a great timesaver if you flash a lot.

I have a little question, when I use the keyboard on my HTC Pro it displays different characters for example if I press the "-" I get a "/" and ditto with the functions button i get taken to the Calandar. Is there a way to rectify this?

Go to programs,tweaks,and open registry editor.
Go to local machine,hardware,devicemap,keybd and then change the following reistry key:
CWSlayout,open that key by clicking it,change the value from 1 to zero and the problem is fixed

Thanks for a great, high quality rom (snappy and graphically beautiful).
i might have stumbled on a small bug tho, not sure since i have not tried to uninstall anything (atleast not this year) before on my touch pro. but since this rom is aimed for fuze i had to install a small fix for that and while i did that i installed a way to large collection of games to just to try but this is where my stumbling began... i found the game-pack useless and wanted to uninstall it ... non of my installed apps where listed under "remove programs", im pretty sure that at least the some of them should be listed there.

Yes. I spotted this. I have installed 3 apps and only one appears in the "remove programs".
Also had keyboard problem - will try recommended registry fix.

Exact thing happened on the last RRE rom. He made a cab fix for it. Ill post it up later if i still have it and if u want to try it or look into it. After installing the cab, soft-reset, then install all your cabs or reinstall for them to show.

Top work! Very much liking this ROM, and it's super speedy and stable. Certainly the most responsive and fastest ROM I've had on my Touch Pro so far.
Anyone feel like copying and uploading their /Windows/StartMenu/Programs folder? I kinda accidentally deleted mine . It would help if you did. I just ended up customizing this and accidentally deleted it >.> and I don't want to hard reset.

[KNOWN ISSUES](BETA 1)
I tried my best to produce the best quality of ROM but as a normal human, there is no 100% perfect in our life. So here the known issues (Question regarding known issue(s) wont be entertained unless u want to share solution) :
[1] 3G Video call works on both parties but need to soft-reset bcoz it will stuck on hangup. Dialer scrolling has graphic leak issue due to old dialer compatibility with WM6.5.X.
[2] Video playback in Album (also in manila 2d album tab) is not supported.
Need to play directly with Windows Media Player or other 3rd party app.
[3] Weather on home tab may not working to some people due to radio issue (HTC Mega device is provided with radio updates to solve this issue) but there is workaround to show weather updates on home but without location detection. Follow this step carefully :
i) Select current city in manila 2d weather tab > update.
ii) Install M2D_Home_Weather.lnk in \Debug directory.
iii) Soft-reset.

Good ROM so far, but it could be better... However, this is one or maybe the most stable ROM I have ever tested in my Niki, congrats on that and keep the good work!
To save some more battery power, you should include (in Comm Manager) the 3G On/Off option. Maybe you didn't include it due to some stability issue I believe...
I found two issues, softkeys remapping does not work properly and an issue with the soft keyboard, in the inbox SMS/MMS I have the Full keyboard (Touch Keyboard) but when I try to write a sms, this keyboard goes to a 20key.
Hi, thanks for ur review for the 1st beta. the 3g switch will be included next.
The softkey changer is for normal today softkey, not for manila2d. u need to change manually in registry. the 20keys is just dummy which the main focus is using the keypad in abc mode as default.
I have testes this rom and... Looking nice but this ram.. 20 mb of ram after SR isn't much.. Is it possible to make somethink about it?
TheInVisibleGoD if you want to change the soft keys in manila use the Manilla 2D Customizer (M2DC), it let you change allmost everything on manila.

Not working:
Bluetooth file share confirm/OK when selecting an other folder.
Manila Home: weather not working ]>>> correction works fine after a couple resets.
XT9 stopped working for no apparent reason
Multikeyboard stopped working for no apparent reason
TouchFlo stops working after starting up some applications
Not able to use PC's internet over BT..
Other:
Manila: Images in image tab, not well aligned. or centered
htc Album has no or white menu items. net readable.
When press red button, Manila doesn't go 'Home'..
Battery seems to drain faster
Lots of cosmetic problems
Memory usage is..severe? 85Mb and 70Mb used after booting. Seems we need more memory.
When Opera is started, only 2Mb is available. So browsing isn't realy going to be much fun.
My device seems to get a tad warmer. Though not always..( using radio 171..)
Running other big applications is out of the question.
No support is given at all with this ROM..very sad for the board
Needs a lot of ROM tweaking to get it run faster

i found a little bug/problem, i will try to explan with my bad english lol
i have a 20key niki and when i install a 20key.cab, even if I select another method, after doing "ok" the input goes back to keyboard and i can't choose the desired input and xt9 language.
i try the SIPChange but without sucess, can you help me with this?

Sorry Jim. U need to disable Manila2D to gain more ram. I will try to compress M2D in Beta2.

[1] Will check on that issue.
[2] Still trying to figure it out.
[3] It is because of Album v1. v2.5 or v3 will be included in next version.
[4] Will check on that issue.
[5] Try to disable manila & see if any different.

Last time why I encountered the problem is that I install another input apps, but this time without any other input apps, it just cannot be used. Have you tested it? Thank you very much.
i have tried the 20key.cab of d_train at insomnia threadt (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=497347) and the DupinBJK thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2735963#post2735963)
if it help, in the 2.01 the cab of d_train works like a charme.

Well, when i disabled manila (nothing at Today screen) there was about 30 mb of ram.. This is still not much.. Yours v2 had about 40-50 if i'm not wrong.
Aha, when i installed SPB Keyboard v4 i can't use it and can't get in option tab.
In v2 i only can't get in option tab.
I think this is all that i find till now.
Yours roms are great Some more time and they will be perfect in 150 % ^^
manila is not a standalone program. it has many dependencies which running as service, etc. & consume lot of ram. if u r not manila fan, consider to try v2 series. I will try harder in next release.

But here is problem, I like Manila
I can't wait for next release of v2 and v3 version
Been running this ROM a couple of days now.
The device stays cool, contrary my previous post.
To add that I didn't make much calls today or other heavy load. Did some music an some pictures, but at the end of this day my battery still states 77%.
Which also seems just fine too.
Still the list is to long to suggest it to anyone.
And no support.. not even from other users.. really sad.

let's try it again..
Hey guy's, I tried to install the TouchPall keyboard but it seems unable to activate.
Also the ROM's Touch keyboard only displays in keypad configuration, the other doesn't activate anymore for some reason.
Also XT9 stopped working, and the menu doesn't work no more.
using the keypad only inserts numeric key.
Suggestions?
