Think there will be cool silicone covers and unique cases for the Touch HD similar to the iPhone? One thing about my Touch Pro and Tilt I have is they don't make silicone covers due to the slide out keyboard. On rare occasions I've dropped my Tilt on asphalt and scratched it bad.
Just want a good protector for a 1000 dollar phone when it comes out.
Would appreciate any info or rumors of accessories coming out..

What about those invisible shields? They are transparent stickers essentially that cover the entire phone. I think it would be better to have that as it protects the phone from scratches and still leaves the cool uncased form factor. I saw one on my friend's iphone. Looked fine.
Seidio case for the HD?
I wonder if there will be a Seidio case for the Touch HD, as I'm very satisfied with the one I have for my TyTn II (it literally saved it's life)

I will also buy an invisible shield for my HD when i have it, it's more beautiful than the silicone covers.

I'm using a black Belkin silicone case meant for an iPhone 3G. I had to cut a hole for the camera and the headphones. It fits, but not too tight. I think it will hold me over until the official HD models hit the market.

looks nice, but not available until next year... i don't want to wait; i'd rather protect now with something cheaper an purchase HTC's version later.
My silicon arrived from ebay today. Package contains the case, a replacement screen protector (which I will not use - waiting for invisishield) and a useless neck strap (useless in that there is no strap loop on the case!).
The case itself fits easily, makes the Hd easier to hold in the hand, and makes me much less scared of dropping it.
Of course, now I have introduced a new surface into the equation, the propensity for scratches via this method increases. However, the fit is pretty good and I certainly prefer this to having the paintwork exposed all the time.

One of these came today. It is specifically for the THD. The fit is good the cut outs in the right place and the buttons sound and off operable through the rubber.
At £3.49 It will do for now.
I have been searching online retailers and local shops for a leather case for my Touch HD but to no avail, until I have found this in one of the mall in the Philippines while on holiday. I believe this is one of the best genuine leather case available for the HD regardless of the price. The best part of it is the price: Only USD15.00
The leather is not stiff but smooth and soft. The stitching is very well done. All phone controls and buttons are all accessible.
Check out the pix to have an idea how amazing this leather case is.
The pictures does not include the belt clip which also serves as headset/headphone cable organizer. Very, very neat!

It's Capdase. They actually have cases for all other phones including, iphone, blackberries. I actually bought similar cases too for my Blackeberry bold and Nokia 5800.
I'm wondering whether this leather case could be made compatible with Krusell's Multidapt mounting system, so it could be used with their car and bike holder kits. Could you maybe give me the exact dimensions of the swivel thingy that I suppose gets screwed in the back of the case?
Here's the corresponding Krusell data:
outside-diameter (top 2mm): 12,5mm
outside-diameter (lower 2mm): ca 9,5mm
inside-diameter: 7mm
also, do you know what kind of screw is used?

I believe it will not be compatible. I am at work now, I will post additional pictures with belt clip on and the screw itself. I have had Krussel before but it is not as well designed as the belt clip that comes with this Capdase case.

I bought this in a mall in the Manila, Phils. I have search the web but it is not available. Maybe you could try search "Capdase" in Ebay. Even in Manila, it is not readily available in most shops, you really have to ask for it.

I will try to post additional pictures when I get off from work. But I can assure that it still fits my front pocket comfortable without looking happy to see everybody ....I never use the belt clip and screw so that's helped a lot in terms of pocketability.

That's a great one at great price too. I think I've overpaid for my Noreve case and it took them a month to deliver
I use a simple leather case to protect my HD. Bought on ebay where you also get a screen protector with it what is much better than the original one.

I'd support that. Got the Bugatti SlimCase two weeks ago, and I'm quite satisfied with it.
PROs:
- Sturdy, quality leather case, offers good protection for the HD.
- Fixed belt loop. (yes there is a belt loop on the back - hard to see on some pictures). No clip that can accidentally slip off your belt.
- Slim fit: The HD's a slim device, and this case doesn't add bulk to it. Sits tightly against the belt, so no bulge at your waist. Comfortable to wear even under a business suit.
- velcro fastening: No chance of the HD accidentally slipping out of the case.
- Good fit around device: The HD fits in just right, and it's not too tight (so no unnecessary pressure on the screen).
- EasyOut strip, really easy to operate: Undo the velcro and pull the strip in one movement - hey presto, the HD is lifted about 1/3 out of the case. Couldn't be easier.
CON:
- Putting the HD back into the case is a bit more fiddly: The EasyOut strip gets in the way, or gets twisted. Not easy to do with one hand.
Overall, a really good belt-able case, and a real bargain too.
(I got mine from Amazon for ~ 10 € incl. P&P!!!!)

You got to watch out for some of those cases on Ebay. I bought one for my X1i when I had it and because it was kinda tight ( needed breaking in ) it wore the paint down on an edge near the control panel. It was felt lined but the outer shell felt more like synthetic leather.
Krussel case here because of the quality and the Multidapt system, my last five cases have been Krussel so I have all the belt clips, windshield brackets etc. already.
Getting my TP2 tomorrow, but really wondering about this...
Seeing pictures of the leather 'case' that comes with the TP2 elsewhere than in the US, is it the same case without belt clip in the T-Mo US TP2?
If it is, I want to be ready when I pick up my phone to get a belt clip equipped case as well.

yes the cases htc give are always junk. i like the bodyguardz skin cases simply because the phone is already kinda thick and it does protect the phone. kinda of a pain to put on but after my 4th attempt throughout the years i think i did my best on the touch pro 2.
nko, does the screen protector part feel rubbery and make the touch screen a little less sensitive? I know it is like that with the Zagg on my friend's iPhone.
Got this hard thick rubberized case at the tmo store. It comes with a snap in/out belt clip if wanted. Seems to fit tp2 very well, and leaves accessible all need openings.
I just used the belt clip that came with my Wing. Fits like a glove!

Yeah, I think I'm just gonna use the belt clip case that came with my Hermes. It's just a little longer but it fits for now.

This is a very delicate process for me. It's a balance between too bulky and too little protection. I want it to be able to survive it's first dreaded drop without cracking the case. I may just try to use both of them at the same time. When I'm doing physical work, I'll put the rubber case on, and when I'm at the desk, just have it out with the clear protector. I just wonder if you can clip on the rubber housing over the clear protector. The perfect thing for me would be to just have a rubber skin that slides over the whole body of the phone because I don't slide the keyboard out much anyway. That way it could be protected when I'm on the move and I can easily take it off when not.

The loops on the back will secure the phone to you if you're moving around but the clip may sag overtime though. I know I'll be replacing it eventually. The HTC OEM cases are much better, but no loops. There's never a perfect solution.
BTW: Does anyone know if the rubber case from the Touch HD will fit?

I have a VzW TP2 and am using the Body Glove snap-on case. The Body Glove snap-on, while protecting the TP2 very well, does add some heft to the TP2.
Does anyone know of a magnetic horizontal leather case/pouch that would fit the Body-Glove-cladded TP2?

I got this one about three years ago for my Kaiser and it lives still with my Touch Pro 2 snug inside. The strong magnetic closure does not interfere in any way with the TP2.
I don't know if it will accommodate your "Body-Glove-cladded" though.

I have had three copies of this case. When it gets worn out I replaced it with another. It's the best case I have ever owned. I got a Tilt 2 a few weeks ago. With a Praetorian silicone case, it's a perfect fit for this phone, too. I just ordered two of them from this link. Thanks for posting it.

I just bought my father the note (sold his GS2 on craigslist) and i got him this case on amazon.
The problem is, my father is used to using a leather holster case that the whole phone slips into, this holster obvioulsy isnt like that, one side goes in, then the other.
He tried getting a holster case by the different stands he usually goes to bu the ones they have, dont fit the phone and the rubber seido case....
has anyone else had this problem and found a leather holster that fits the note and a case?
Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
Was he BlackBerry? We used pocket cases with those. I use a very nice pocket case from amazon.com.

Sorry, i guess i wasnt really specific. more of this kind of case... but it would have to fit hit protection case too...
I doubt you're gonna find a leather case that let's the phone and the rubber case slide in to. But if you boosted in the accessories forum you might get more answers.
