You should be able to flash any language ROM to your phone you want. I looked up the original vodophone ROM on the wiki for a T7272, http://www.vodafone.de/downloadarea....1_Radio_Sign_52.63.25.34_1.14.25.05_Ship.exe, so this should be what you need. Before you flash anything, please continue to read the wiki and stickied posts and HardSPL your phone. It'll save you lots of trouble.
Best of luck my friend.

It does not matter from where you the phone came from, you can flash ROM's of any language, as long as they are for the same phone model

looking for cellcom Israel ROM for JASJAM

I have a new jasjasm from cellcom, I register my device on WWW.clubimate.com and download an update, I had nokia phone before and I was sure that like in my nokia the program will see my IMEI an SN and update my device to the litest cellcom version, but since then I have the TELSTRA version and I don’t have a Hebrew support.
I went to cellcom and told them what I have done and they told me that they cannot give me any service until I will have the cellcom version on my device.
I used the word "Cellcom" in the search forums and this is what I found

Japanese Nike (HT1100) Upgrade ROM or Language Extender, advice needed

I am currently living in Japan and have just picked up a new HT1100 (Touch Dual) on the Docomo network.
This is my first smartphone/PDA and I am very happy with it except for the language problem.
The entire system is in Japanese and I would like to change it to English. I have tried asking Docomo who didn't have a clue what to do and it seems that the original English software has been completely removed and replaced with an all-Japanese ROM.
I have never changed the ROM on a smartphone before but I am willing to give it a go but I have a few questions which I can't find answers to by searching -
1, Would it be better for me to try and find an English language pack (if one exists)?
2, If I do have to change the ROM completely then which would be the best one for me?
3, If everything gets screwed up then what are my chances of unbricking it and putting the original Japanese software back on?
4, If everything goes to plan and I change the software to a hacked version can I still use my Docomo sim card in it? Or is there some kind of security check between the sim card and the phone that means the card will only work with the Docomo ROM?
Sorry for all the questions but I'm a bit of a newbie at this and don't want to ruin a brand new phone that I am otherwise so happy with!
Read the Sticked Thread about HardSPL and make all Steps!!!
Read 10 Pages of the Thread befor you try this. Then you know all errors you can have and it prevent use for the same questions they all ready posted hehehe
After that ... looks around for a Favorit Rom and try it! If you have a Problem ... read the first 10 Pages of the Thread!

neon 100
japanese ht1100 code name is neon 100 not niki,
so do not flash niki radio or rom to ht1100(neon 100).
Thanks for the replies!
I will certainly read each step carefully before I flash the phone with new ROM.
But before I do I just want to check one thing to be completely clear - are you saying that after I put on this new homebrew ROM I will DEFINITELY be able to use my Docomo sim card in it without any problems?
Also, what settings would I need to enter on the new phone to use it properly? ie, when I flashed normal phones in the past I needed to re-enter all the MMS/internet settings. Is it the same with these smartphones or are there any other settings I will need to get?

2, If I do have to change the ROM completely then which would be the best one for me? I think your device is a Neon, if i'm correct that i think i'm the only one cooking Neon Roms .
3, If everything gets screwed up then what are my chances of unbricking it and putting the original Japanese software back on? Dump your original Rom before doing anything that way you can always manage to flash it back.
4, If everything goes to plan and I change the software to a hacked version can I still use my Docomo sim card in it? Or is there some kind of security check between the sim card and the phone that means the card will only work with the Docomo ROM? Is your phone Network locked? Have you tried a sim card from another Network?

hi,I have same handset with you , and have flashed english rom , if you want to flash any english rom,I think you will cannt use docomo network mms, hi-speed data plan etc.
and cannt accesse internet. so, must dump docomo original rom before flash other english rom. good luck.
I don't know if my phone is network locked as I have not tried another sim yet but I wouldn't be surprised if it it.
Actually, after mailing HTC Japan they have pointed me in the direction of an English language pack sold by another company. I have to wait another 24 hours before I can use it but it looks promising - http://www.cfcompany.co.jp/product/mobem/mobem.html
If Aten is right then flashing the phone will be no use to me if the Docomo sim card doesn't work.
I will wait and try this language pack to see how that works out. Maybe after that I will consider flashing the ROM.

The MMS and Connection settings are store either in *.Rgu files or *.Xml files on the Rom, not sure which ones. I had the same issue with my Telstra branded Rom, the network settings were built in so i couldn't connect to any other network. If you dump your rom and upload it up i can have a look and extract these settings for you.
Cheers
Well that language pack software arrived last night and I installed it without any problems.
It all seems pretty good. Not everything is translated but its enough to make the phone useable for me.
The only major issue I have is that it seems incompatible with the whole Touchflo interface. The touchflo will not open my videos or, photos or music files any more. I cannot use the Touchflo shortcuts and it seems I am also unable to set an MP3 as my ringtone/alarm etc.
Is there something I could change to make this work?
I am busy with work for the next few days but will see if I can upload this ROM on the weekend.

[Q] I Can't find The Suitable Region for my HD2 Manila Verion for ROM UPGRADE

I have a HD2 phone with these software specs out of the box:
Manila Version ( 2.5.192xxx ),
ROM Verion (1.43.405 xxx) WWE (70124)
Radio Ver ( 2.04 xxx)
I have been searching for a suitable ROM in htc official site to Upgrade my ROM, but no matter how much I tried, I only get this:
"This software is not suitable for your phone"
I checked my IMEI in https://www.numberingplans.com/?page=analysis&sub=imeinr and my phone turned out to be originated from Europe. But I get the same sentence when I tried Europe countries in htc official website.
Can someone kindly shed a light on this?
Thanks fellas
P.S
TBH, I don't see any similarity between my phone OS interface and that of people who have hd 2 Manila version ( from youtube ). Isn't it strange?
probably a branded device sir

You can use the GoldCard technique. (I know it works, but don't have experience with it)
Wow very original (initial ROM)....
Looks like you have an UK ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9105826&postcount=1. So you could try the UK HTC Site.
Have you checked if you have an Operator logo at startup? If so, go to the Operators website, maybe the posted the ROM over there.
You must also check your SPL at bootup and report it over here.
HSPL your HD2 then it doesn't matter WHERE your phone is from. As long as its not a t-mobile phone which has more RAM/ROM than normal you can flash any HD2 rom you want...

Sorry for SPL you have to enter BootLoader (press and hold volume-down when booting the device), but don't bother, cause if I read one of your prev posts, you don't have HSLP installed.
You could also contact HTC Support, maybe they can help you finding your upgrade. Cause you have an ancient ROM on your HD2. I believe for all HD2 devices (even branded) there has to be at least an 1.66... or 1.72... ROM available.
Btw. You don't have an Operator logo somewhere at startup, it's all HTC logo's???

I forgot to mention that I finally found a ROM upgrade for my phone from htc TAIWAN website, downloaded and installed it. Apparently my phone origin is Taiwan. And now the language of my phone became Taiwanese. The question is that how my TAIWANESE phone had English language on it if it was not HSPL'ed? ( Actually I didn't check the Bootloader BEFORE upgrading my phone, but I believe if my phone had been HSPL'ed, the word HSPL would be seen in bootloader even AFTER Rom upgrading, right?
Is it possible that a Taiwanese phone has English language on it out of factory?

No, it's all HTC.
Read ALL the previous replies. Told OPTUS that I could not get the Win6.5 ROM upgrade from HTC, launched a week ago. They told me to give them the IMEI (above the serial number).
The operator then told me that I needed to download from the South African HTC site, since that's where my ex-Telstra phone came from. But that site seems off-line at this moment.

perhaps you could look here:

or take a look here

[Q] Strange Serial Number?

Good morning my LEO fiends!
I have a question related to my S/N.
So, does anybody know from which country is the S/N starting with SH?
I bouth my LEO from AMAZON through an APO. The problem is that if I want to download the ROM from HTC Official Site, there is written "it doesn't fit to your phone". Why? The flash rom size is also 500 mb, so maybe it si not to T-MOUS model. Con you help me?

It is quite difficult, on the basis of your S/N to indicate your Aria.
But if you would know it for 100% you can contact HTC about this.
But witch is your Stock ROM version that you have fore the moment?
Becous the x.xx.XXX.x (bold section) can tell you easily from witch aria your device is coming from.
I have HD2 with "SH..." serial number.
It is bought in Croatia (t-mobile hr - totally unbranded- IT IS NOT TMOUS model). You can find rom updates (web sites recognized ser. number) on HTC Germany web page.
I have seen thorugh IMEI and I realized it comes from UK, although bought in USA. Anyway, I cannot find an Official update

Maybe it's a branded device.
My serial also begins with SH. I'm in the uk on t-mob (as you can see on the right) and when I got my phone replaced on my insurance I was sent a new unbranded device with what I figured was German, when trying to update my rom the only look i had was on the German htc page, so I'm guessing your answer lies there.
If you want a specific operator rom there's threads in the HD2 Rom Development section, I'm sure you can flash one of those if you put it into bootloader, all I tend to do.

[Q] Some help with ROM upgrade.

Hello,
New to the forum, and this is probably a noob question, but after trawling through loads of threads on here my head is spinning and i need some advice!
I decided to upgrade the ROM of my hd2 today as i am having problems with sending sms. i bought the phone second hand recently. It is sim unlocked and there is no carrier branding on the phone that i have noticed.
I tried to get a ROM from the htc site and got the not suitable message, long story short after speaking to htc i found my phone is from the Czech republic.
Now i have had a look at the ROM flashing tutorial and i am confident with doing it, however i am unsure about whether or not i need to use the Goldcard method?
Can i download the latest ROM from the UK HTC site and put it on my phone just using the Hardspl method here?
Thanks for any help offered, and sorry if this has been asked before, but i couldnt find an answer to my question.
