Hi I am looking for a Hermes WM5 Kitchen with OEMS, package, instructions, flashing tools etc. Just got a Hermes, have used kitchens and roms on my Apache before ie.ppcgeeks.com ftp. They've been great especially been able to tick selections in BuildOS. Hermes is a bit different. There seems to be plenty of links here & on google for WM6, 6.5 kitchens for Hermes but no WM5 (WM5's history) So trying to get a copy off someones hard drive. The forums are great have read up on Hermes XDA wiki. Tried breaking down a HTC WM5 stock rom with Hypercore kitchen (nerve racking). Haven't completed that yet but was wondering if anyone has or knows someone or have links which could help that would be great. I am a bit of a WM5 fan have used it since I've had my Apache & am happy with it. Don't like alot of junk & the lack of being able to really customise and play with stock roms.
Now most of the kitchen is wm6.5

Hi, Im looking at buying a hermes to upgrade from my htc wizard and am just wondering if there are any cooked roms for the hermes, like the ones on the wizard forum. E.g Faria's aku 3.3 v2 rom. Its an excellent rom and although im aware that there is an aku 3.3 rom for the hermes, i like the slipstreamed brilliance of cooked roms done by Faria etc over carier roms. Is there maybe a way to boot this rom on the hermes, as i currently have it on my wizard or some other option. I looked in the ftp directory and there is nothing special there.
Thanks alot!!!
not so sure of flashing the Wizard ROM onto the Hermes... but as the Hermes device is relatively new there arent that many ROM cooking tools out there yet... there are some but you risk creating bad blocks in the NAND memory... read this for more information http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_BootloaderMFG
Ok thanks. hmm so that means i may have to wait a while before anything of farias roms calibur is to be succesfully and relativly safely flashed to a hermes. Well at least now i know its possible. I guess i can only leave it up to you geniuses here at the xda and wait until they brew up some magic, because from what ive seen so far on the hermes forum, the device looks like its got a lot of potential....heck gps thread looks awsom!
Keep up the good work.
Hi there,
New here and interested in upgrading my qtek s200 wm5 to wm6.
Now I'm wondering if there is a Dutch version of it available here.
I've already followed a lot of topics here and I have to say it's pretty difficult to figure out how to do the upgrade.
I've read the guide as well, but still don't know what to do. I don't want to ruïn my s200, but reallly would like to have the wm6.
After downloading the prophet-tool, does this do all there's needed? Where can I find a collection of Roms, if possible Dutch ones.
Thanks a lot in advance for your help.
I hope to be working with wm6 soon now.
Greetz
Try gullum's coffie roms, WM6 in all kind of laguages.
klik
succes!
Prophet Tools should do everything necessary.
Using it, you will need to:
1. SIM unlock your device
2. Hard SPL your device
3. Flash a ROM.
Previously(previous years), we have access to WM2003SE rom for himalaya. Now, all gone(maybe exists, but not OEM).
May this thread serve as a store for those OEM ROMs. Please, we need them sometimes(I need it now actually, thus I am writing this).
They are our legacy. Try find it out in your pc or recruit them from somewhere you know.
I kneel down to appreciate and thank you all.
I was able to download the official WM2003SE from O2 years ago. Will see if it is still in my computer.
I found the best WM2003SE for himalaya
WM2003SE for himalaya, plain ROM but featuring TOUCHFLO, better radio version, great.

im trying to cook a rom for this device and have only worked with a hermes before..and those tools i was using...ROMcDonalds .. are not dumping the OS.nb
anyone know how to dump the OS.nb of this .nbh?
anyone ever cooked a ROM for this Phone?
let me know...
edit... i have cooked my rom on a sedna...
it is possible !!!
Making massive headway into customizing my own ROM on the SENDA...!!!
but sure noone wants to know... phone must be unpopular...but i love the large screen
have already flashed several test roms..some worked others not...now got it more or less figured
rom available ?
Hi,
how did you managed to make a new ROM for your Sedna ?
I'd like to make one special for my own sedna, including SPB mobile shell 3 or with Windows Mobile 6.5 (not sure about WM6.5 ).
For sure, sedna is not very popular but i think it is a very good phone.
regards.
i used kaiser kitchen to build my rom... and used qmat to split and recompile my .nbh
qmat.. http://revskills.de/pages/download.html
of course i need to have hard spl 'ed my SEDNA before i did any thing...
so thats first .. hard spl ...
then use qmat to Dump your .nbh up and get os.nb...
then with that os.nb follow the kaiser directions for cooking and use a kitchen there... i think there are a few but any thing that will work for kaiser will now work for sedna..
cook you rom and recompile till its os.nb again...
then use qmat to generate os.nb back to a .nbh and use an original flasher.. just replace the .nbh with your cooked one... and thats it
of course not everything that applies to kaiser works here but enough does and once you have a hard spl you should not brick you phone and you can flash any rom you cook.
i take it you have some idea how to cook ...if not well read the kaiser directions and figure it out...

Hi,
I have an XDA atom which originally had windows 5.0
After looking around this site i upgraded to 6.5
I was wondering is there any problems/issues with downgrading to perhaps 6.1 as i read somewhere on here that 6.5 uses a lot of RAM.
Also, is 6.1 a good choice? Or should i stick with 6.5? The version of 6.5 was developed by Khoa ha if that helps at all. (
Code:
showthread.php?t=513809
)
I'm new at this so apologies if these are 'newbie' questions or if i have posted something incorrectly.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Paul.
Can anyone help??
Hi luapb,
If you are comfortable with 6.5, you should just stick to it, unless the performance is actually bothering you as WM6.5 is meant for devices with bigger ram and memory.
Anyway, you can upgrade and downgrade back and forth between 6.5 and 6.1 and 6 without any special downgrading or upgrading procedure. Just do the usual by going into bootloader or via activesync, make sure DSUU and other required files are in \window\temp and execute the DSUU program. You need to make sure the temp directory is cleaned out before copying new ROM's into it otherwise you might get undesirable results.
As for WM6.5, you can try Helloworld1, Glossyx1, Searcher or Tabbe's version, I think theirs are better than Khoa Ha as I remember reading somewhere, Khoa Ha's version are not very RAM and battery friendly.
As for WM6.1, you can try Helloworld1, Glossyx1 or Pdaviet's built 20764(get clean ver) as these are the clean and basic without those additional applications put in as OEM.
I would suggest you try first Jiggs ROM(0.7a.0 B3) WM6 first and then work your way up to decide which ROM suits you best.......
Happy flashing and discovering....
Thanks vincentshjuan
