Hi all,
I have changed my old Qtek 8310 (HTC Tornado) for Rose. And Im really curious, what applications and tweaks are you successfully using on your Rose.
There is list of my favorite apps and games I currently use on my Rose:
.Net Configuration - Configure the Microsoft Net Compact Framework(s).
Adobe Flash lite 2.1 - Flash player.
Bluezard 1.0 - Final solution for working with bluetooth.
CHome configurator 1.1.0.5 - Change look of sliding panel home screen.
CorePlayer.v1.2.5.Build.4506 - Good media player.
Dopod SIM Manager 1.4.36.365 - Best manager to work (copy sim<>phone, backup) with your sim contacts (phone also).
FakeCursor - Use it to emulate cursor for PPC applications. (I have it mapped on short camera button because I do not use camera at all - Short_Camera.lnk,and I use custom cursor icon, because I do not like the cross icon)
Garmin mobile XT 50020 - Well known navigation software.
Google Maps - Good online maps that works with GPS.
GPSDash 2 - Really nice geocaching app.
GPS mod driver 1.10 - Driver that sits between GPS module and applications. It really improves GPS connection.
HTC GPS Tool 1.2.2.17 - GPS test tool from HTC company, good to use to see what really goes from GPS modul (cold, warm gps restart, etc.).
Chartcross GPS Test 1.04 - Good utility to check the status of GPS module.
Jbed 3D mod heap size fix (12.02.2008) - Best Java midlet manager with 3D support.
JZ SmartMort 1.6 - Mortscript utils, by which you can improve various settings (be really careful, some of them may change setting the way you have to do hard reset), and improve the usage of internet on your device by sharing addresses among browsers, etc.
Kevtris - Good tetris for WM.
MoDaCo DoNew - Makes new files for Windows mobile office (missing function in WM office).
Mophun emulator for WM - Emulator can run new Mophun games on windows mobile. The quality of mophun games is often better than Java or WM games, but there is only a few (cca 16) of them available.
Opera mobile 8.65 for smartphone - Much better internet browser than IE and latest from opera which works on SP.
Oxio AppClose.exe - Free up your RAM (Im using it as link in Right Menu app).
PicoDrive - Sega Mega Drive emulator.
PocketAtari - Emulate old 8bit atari machines.
Right menu 1.97 - Quite old app that makes your menu of favorite programs under right soft key on home screen (to use it on CHome, you have to change registry key under cclock to link to right menu link).
Scumm VM 1.0.0rc1 - Framework for running classical click and point adventures.
SKTools 4.4.7.12 - Program for tweaking and optimizing your system.
SpriteBackup 6.5.5.1 - Backup whole your phone.
Tornado Low Light - At night, even the automatic brightness control makes your phone too much bright, so by this utility you may manually lower the brightness.
Total Commander 2.51 - Best directory manager.
VitoCopyPaste - Simple copy paste function.
WM5Storage 1.9 - makes from Storage card the flash drive to easily access it by any computer.
SRS WOWHD 1.5.1 - Sound driver that improves the sound of the Rose.
Tweaks (registry hacks, and so on):
Scroller for start menu - you dont need to use "More" button, just use down key. Insert into "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Shell" new DWORD value "RockerSupport = 1" (name RockerSupport, value 1)
What Im really missing on Rose is good SimToolkit manager. Long time, I have been using STK manager from XDA that has been extracted-maked by Pigeon I used it on Qtek 8310 with WM6.1 - 6.5 without problems, but it is not working on Rose If anybody have idea how to make it working, there is the CAB.
SRS WOWHD 1.5.1
kills the sound on my device, any modded version ?
SRS WOWHD
Older versions of WOWHD kill my sound also. Than I found one version 1.5.1 (PPC version, do 1.5.1 SP exist?) somewhere on XDA Developers, which do not kill the sound. However Im also not sure, if it really works... Because it is PPC version, I do not have control app, so dont know how to check if it really works.
You may try:
It might be cool to include an URL to these programs...
I tried fakecursor, but it didn't work as expected.
Google maps is installed by default
WM5 storage is not needed, because this is now standard functionality of WM6.1
Im planning to include links to these apps. The problem is, it tooks some time I do not have now Also I would be not able to maintain these links in future, so cannot guarantee they will work later on. Also the problem with trial versus full...
Fakecursor works fine for me.
I have ROM without Google maps! So it is why I put it on the list. (I get my rose secondhand, cose it is hard to buy new one these days, but i think inside is still official ROM. Strange is it is partially app unlocked and without some features like google maps(I did quite often hard reset so it is really state of the rom)).
With the WM5Storage, you are right. However I tried build in function, and it doesnt work well for me. Main issues were, after switching back from flash to active sync, my PC refuse to connect and sync, moreover, I have to go through many menus to enable or disable this feature. WM5Storage works much better for me....
some other cool tools
hypergps - rose bekomme a navigation device with tmc-traffic-guide
gregory-htc-home (remake by me, to work on rose) - the standard htc home
wm5torage is not necessary, the rose has mass-storage-mode

ps: the screen resolution of hypergps dont match the rose, but stay cool , the main-funktions you need will work

SmartGear for GameBoy, GameBoy Color, NES, GameGear, MasterSystem, TurboGrafx-16, and Genesis/MegaDrive Games (Snes-emulation in development). Costs: 10$ (Trial Version works for 2 minutes and you can't save)
Only not perfectly working with some Roms, it can't save the game then. But especially newer games are no problem. To be honest, I play pokemon with it, because I was and am still looking for decent RPG Games - pokemon is fun .

the only one I can suggest...
Is there by any chance an application that lets use watch videos with subtitles?
And I mean regular .srt files.
I heard something about the open version of Coreplayer.
Anyone that knows?

Remove x-black text
HTC Home Customizer by emunutz

HTC Home 2.1.1005.722(best for 96dpi)
HTC Snapvue(yes from the htc shift. I TOLD U I HAD GOOD HTC SHIFT SOURCES!! HTC Home replacment for 128 and 192dpi. screenshot in post 10)
HTC Start Menu(best for 96dpi to make startmenu bigger and easier to use)
Tips/Updates (by ltxda):
- Save As enhancement. Go to Settings, System, select File Dialog Changer and check "Exchange Standard File Dialog". This changes out the standard Save As window and provides an enhancement where you can choose any folder/subfolder on your device and navigate the structure when trying to save files from any source.
- Battery/Memory indicators at top of screen. Each bar is started by its own file in the Startup folder. The "qwertyMemory.lnk" file runs the Memory indicator and can be disabled by deleting or moving this file out of the StartUp folder. The "dciBattery.lnk" file runs the Battery indicator which is the top bar and can be disabled by deleting or moving this file out of the StartUp folder.
- FingerTouch Keyboard: By default keyboard option 5 is selected. If you prefer QWERTY go into the input options and change the default keyboard layout.
- Messenger Mobile: The issues previously reported by other users and noticed by myself seems to have been "fixed". The MSN network sucks BUT Messenger Mobile seems to be dealing with connection drops and synching of contacts better than in previous versions/releases.
- Today Screen: All/default plugs have been deactivated. Just go to Settings, Personal, Today and go to the Items tab to reactivate what you want.
- Reminders: I'm annoyed by the constant reminder notifications after the initial notice. To disable this annoyance go to Settings, Personal, Sounds & Notifications, Notifications tab, select Reminders from the drop down and uncheck "Repeat". Not sure if this bothers anyone else but it really annoyed me and I've seen a couple of posts asking how to disable this.
- wkTask: Two nice features...of course they are in the manual...to get back to Today screen from any program....click-hold the area where the X typically is and drag left. This takes you right back to the Today screen. To minimize the current app, click-hold the X area and drag down. Very useful little program that has replaced Magic Button for me. Also allows per app control. Thanks Hirad for the recommendation! Also, This resides in the area where the X typically sits to close programs, etc. Start wkTask from Programs, click and hold the "X" area and go into preferences for wkTask. Make sure it's set to autostart by going to Startup tab and clicking the corresponding button. This is a great task manager.
- Vijay555's VJCandela aka Flashlight: It's been reported on other threads that prolonged activation of the flash light LED may cause it to burn out so use at your own risk. I have used it without problems. Comes in very handy. Also great for blinding your enemies before an attack! ;-p
- To get the look show above for htc home, please install htc home customizer and select alien ice clock, iphone-alt icons, transparent background, and stardock weather icons.
- HTC Home customizer that is in the addons has a problem where once u install it it'll look to download the cab for htc home but errors out with error "Plugin Not Found. Plugin was not installed. Please report this error." We included in the addons the cab for htchome found on emunutz's site. please install this cab first then start up the customizer.
- (added 10/29/07) to change default layout of teksoft's fingertouch please so to start/settings/input and click on options. change defaultkb to the option u usually use(1 for me).
- Action Screen if started in landscape after any reset/power off then on will not start. switch to portrait and then back to landscape and all will be ok.
- TCPMP starts in portrait and is used in portrait but after closing with X will make the phone go back to landscape. i use this as a oppertunity to activate action screen so it'll work in landscape.
- from looking quickly at the xml the sprint aka quicklauncher today plugin can be customized with new icons and new links. i believe u can also add to it via the xml.
- customizer for the ftouchflo can be found in system folder within programs. it is also recommended to put a shortcut into startup so ftouchflo is on always.
- wktask is missing the skins and will display a error message first time u start it. this was done because the default skin looks better and it mkes a few files less in rom.
To Upgrade (by ltxda):
- You agree that you do so at your own risk with absolutely no liability resting with xda-developers nor the maker of this fine ROM! And to be 100% clear, if you screw up your device it's YOUR FAULT. If you don't agree don't touch. ;-)
- Unlock phone using OliPro's unlocker or hardspl. This is needed even if ur phone is sim unlocked. the rom needs a cid unlocked device. cid unlocking is reached using olipro's hardspl or the unlocker.
- Install ROM...
- Done!
- Enjoy and report any bugs.\

I'm not sure if it's because I'm still half-asleep but even that snapshot doesn't really tell me what Snapvue is, other than that it looks like a slightly different today screen to the Kaiser's.
What is its functionality and what does it add?
Just interested.
edit:
I've just read the top post - it's a home screen replacement. SOWWY.

- WkTask enable: it is disabled by default and must be enabled from the start menu and set to start on startup(if prefered). It will place the battery bar on top like in previous bars if the setting is selected. The version is not the latest because the latest causes issues.
Make sure it's set to autostart by going to Startup tab and clicking the corresponding button. This is a great task manager.
- FingerTouch Keyboard: By default the option is not set to to layout 1. This can be changed via the options or via the bottom left corner button.
- Today Screen: All/default plugs have been deactivated except for htc home.
- Vijay555's VJCandela aka Flashlight: It's been reported on other threads that prolonged activation of the flash light LED may cause it to burn out so use at your own risk. I have used it without problems. Comes in very handy. Also great for blinding your enemies before an attack! ;-p
- HTC Home customizer: the version on the forums will mess up the htc home plugin because of the new larger vga images. the addon cabs have the older version that also worked in all dpis.
- TCPMP: starts in portrait and is used in portrait but after closing with X will make the phone go back to landscape.
- Config App: A new config app can now be found in settings under system. This app is made thanx to cmonex and will allow u to do many things. If u any have suggestions including what to add please pm me.
- Touchflo: Touchflo has the scroll sounds enabled by default. this can be disabled via the system tab in settings. settings for touchflo are also found in the new config app.
- VueFlo: the sensitivity for changing orientation can be adjusted in the system tab of settings. orientation changing can be turned on and off via the config app.
- SRS Wow HD: it can be found in the system tab in settings. use this to get surround sound and to improve sound. it is mostly used for the speakers or a headset.
- Large Start Menu: i have moved the settings for the large start menu from personal to system tab in settings. u can enable or disable the large start menu from in there.
- USB to PC: a new usb to pc tool is included. it allows mass storage now and is found under the connections tab in settings.
- Opera browser: easy configuration can be done by typing opera:config into the adress bar. it already has been modded though to allow up to 50 tabs and to have a ie7 user id. a cab in program files/system will make opera have a x7510 user id again.
- Customizations: only sdautorun.exe is ran and if finds the sdconfig.txt on ur sd will execute ur settings and reset. if not will end the customizations and allow you to use the phone. the phone might need to be turned back on.
- skype, weatherpanel, igo, video playback: turn off htc home and if needed install the one in the addons. it has been found htc home causes issues with these because of it being vga size and a resource hog.
- missing icons and same welcomehead in all dpis: these are caused by realvga. tobias needs to update his realvga to fix these issues cause by the new aku1.
- vga album: it can hang sometimes. this could be also associated with htc home. if it does hang just do a soft reset. this is do to the app being vga. newer versions in the future will fix the loading issues.
- enlarge menus: the setting to turn off the enlarged menus is found in the config app. there also is a advanced button to adjust how big u want the menus. if u really want a finger friendly menu, try 1600 but dont go above it.
- apptodate: this is a interesting app we included that will once ran check for new version of the rom and config app.
- wmp in 96dpi portrait: there is a issue with it starting. the work around is to run wmp in any other mode and go to the skin selection and select the proper skin in there then coming back to this mode.(tested by going to 192 dpi and selecting the 192 dpi skin)

Please Note: This is a new aku first so like any other new version of windows mobile, some things might not work for now. Also there is some unreleased and beta stuff in the rom so somethings take a bit longer to load. Also please read the tips/updates section before downloading as it will save from people asking questions answered in there!!

hahah.. yea thins kind of bull always occurs.. but hey if your patient enough you will finally get what you waited for right??
long thirsty
thanks for coming
yes, it is great that AP4 is coming soon; but if you need to post about pressing F5 or thanking the team, why not post in one of the other threads discussing the same topic.
And when it is released, please try to refrain from posting things like Downloading now or thanks for the great Rom.
If you really want to thank Pawel, ltxda, Boinger66, Olipro and Cmonex, why not click on one of their signatures and donate to the project or them individually.
If you must post about "great rom thanks", "downloading now"
"getting another beer","American Beer is mostly water", Euro Beer tastes like the crap at the bottom of the keg",etc; please post those in the other bull **** threads..
AND if you like the Rom DONATE a few bucks to the AP Team!
Ok, Chris...you can delete this and the other crap posts in this thread!
Thanks for all the hard work AP Team. Hitting F5 and charging my X7501.
waiting as well
bugs
hey guys does anyone know if the bugs for th 66% battery been fixed? what about the other bugs that the bets testers submitted? whats still buggy in the ap4 so far?
cant wait to flash it soon.. major reason for ap4 is the battery percentage driver and the orientation that switches automatically..
Just little info about the rom
This rom is verry much the same as my last upload
I've upgrated the build to CE OS 5.2.21109(build21109) much more responsive and stable
There are 2 Camera albums in the rom Why?
The default album is the one from Jade and works as it should
the second is from Blacksatone and the folder preview (with all pictures is a bit messed but single picture preview is perfect but only portrate) but this one has the option to upload pictures to Facebook and video to Youtube. I'm shure there will be a fix for this soon
I've called the Blackstone version Album Uploader. I've uploaded 2 pictures to my facebook so I know it works
I've also fixed the battery indicator

This ROM can be dumped and recooked. Unlike many of the cooks, no RGU have been deleted. No DSM has been deleted. And most of all, the ROM has not been crippled against dumping by deleting IMGFS signatures. So feel free to dump and modify upto your taste. And share the knowledge with the community. We can improve more by sharing the knowledge than keeping it secret.

First of all, sorry for my ugly english.
I flashed this great rom on my nike, but as the previous version i have problmes with opal keypad, the compact qwerty and the full qwerty works good, but when i try to use the software keypad i don't see any key, only a "noise", it seems like the keypad skin is broken, if i push random on the "noisy" part of the display i can see some magnify of the keys, but it don't works at all.
I tyr to install the last version of EzInput 1.5 Keyboard Suite, but the same thing... only "noise" on the keypad.
for the moment i use the Diamond keyboard pack.
Does anyone have my same problem?

Following discussion and development on AndyZap's GPS Cycle Computer thread, I'm starting this new thread.
It's all about navmi...

navmi is a GPS sports application, currently available for Windows Mobile touch screen (professional). It contains lots of DNA from AndyZap's GPS Cycle Computer - and it's now been tested on a few devices including:
- Omnia II
- Diamond
- HTC HD (and HD2 Leo)
- Axim x51v
- Omnia
Current download is shown on navmi.com.
There is currently a 1 dot 1 dot 1 release in Beta testing
Among navmi's features are:
Time and distance tracking
Autopause
Auto lap (auto waypoint) recording
Manual lap recording
Integrated sports photography
Map display – including offline caching of maps
Chart display – speed and elevation
Multiple settings for multiple sports
Training Diary – including lap, map, photo and chart review
Integration with runsaturday online training log and analysis tools
KML and GPX track export
navmi proudly contains:
DNA from the GPS Cycle Computer – by AndyZap – with design by expo7 and special thanks to AngelGR – used under new bsd license
integration with runsaturday.com
mapping by OpenStreetMap served by Cloudmade – used under creative commons license
voice from acclivity on freesound.org – used under creative commons license
sound effects from sowatt and milton on freesound.org – used under creative commons license
extra graphics input from clker.com – used under creative commons license
I hope this is the right place to start this thread!
Omnia II, Diamond, HTC HD, Axim x51v...hmmm...does it work in other resolutioin like WQVGA or QVGA? Looks nice...
hi...im a big fan of AndyZap GPS Cycle Computer...and use it on every occasion, while on the go. unfortunately development seems to be abandoned . so hope you will get best of it and follow his high standards... will watch that development closely.

I think it does... although I've not tested it on a real device of other sizes yet.
Please do feel free to try it and let me know
the touchHD is wvga and navmi does almost perfect on it.
Switching between apps does bring the winMo taskbar back into the picture tho and consequently that covers part of the function buttons.
Not a major problem.
Tho I did click the winMo 'Ok' button (top right taskbar corner) once and navmi asked whether I wanted to proceed, as logging would be canceled. After clicking 'No' it canceled anyway, toughy...

I'll take a look at the switching thing - that doesn't happen on my Omnia when I use Samsung's cube button task switcher thing. What are you using to switch on the HD?
As for the "No" problem... I've just checked the code and it definitely should work OK...
I use Quickmenu to replace the regular startmenu and following your comment I switched back to regular and indeed, no more winMo taskbar pop-over... good stuff!
Wow, been after something like this for ages but havent got round to looking! Will try to get to grips with it before my next snow boarding trip so i can see how far i rode!! Good work!!
HollyWolf, are you the coder of this?
Also, add Samsung Omnia to the list of working phones. Works fine on mine.

Excellent - thanks for letting me know
Yes, I am the coder - I've taken AndyZ's GPS Cycle Computer as a start, merged in lots of code from Runsat and am loving writing code
What use using to write it in and with what language?
Also, is there a "how to use" guide at all?
Cheers
Almost all written in C# compact framework - 2.0.
There's no manual yet - so best to write here or on navmi.com if you have a question.
Thanks hollywoof, sure am gonna try this!
Looks great - gonna give it a try!
thumbs up +1
hollywoof, will there be an option to import kml or gpx files in the future? Would be nice if I could add the runs from RunSaturday to navmi. This way I have totals on my Omnia.
Installed it, looks very nice. Will test it soon while running.
I'll have a play in a bit on the HD2, pity it's snowing so much, I've not got a chance to get out in the velomobile to see how accurate it is.
One thing that is missing from gpscyclecomputer is a seperate EXIT function..
Using winmo 6.5.x versions (with the bottom buttons) you cant close the app, short of using a secondary taskmanager, so if you can include something along those lines (not tried it yet) then that would be great (and future proof it a bit).
I'm intrigued by the lapfunction, how is it going to work? I've tried a couple of other ones in the past, that haven't been quite as obvious as could be.
Especially when racing, I tend to find that pressing something is a no-no (especially cycling at 35mph and above on a 440m velodrome yo can lap quite quickly) and some of the others don't seem to realise that when you go past the place you started logging then that's the end of the first lap.
anyway, glad to see someone has taken on the basics of andyzaps app looking forward to seeing how it progresses.

I've written the GPX/KML code for course following (similar to the GCC's implementation), but I'd not thought about syncing all activities/the totals that way - maybe I'll give that a try! I do want to sync photos in as well at some point.
As another alternative I was considering writing a separate runsaturday app...
Thanks for the feedback - you're helping to make the app better

You should be able to close the app by:
- " - pausing the activity
- square - stopping the activity
- home - go to home page
- exit - exit
- yes - I really want to exit
But maybe that is a bit too long winded. I'm mainly testing on 6.5 (Omnia II) so I know it works there...

The autolap currently goes off measured distance - you can set up the autolap distance in the settings for each sport and then the just laps whenever it measures that you've reach the distance.
From personal experience of athletics tracks, I doubt you will get very good performance for cycling around a velodrome - it's just not a nice track for GPS to estimate distance... the estimation errors really build up around the circle :/ For example, I once did a 6 hour track race (normal 400m track) - and my Garmin 301 was almost 10% inaccurate compared to the lap counter. Some of this was due to me not always taking the inside lane, but (looking at the recorded track) most of it was just down to nasty GPS readings. Surprisingly that 10% was an overestimate, not an underestimate. In more normal runs, I think I'd expect my Garmin to be 1-2% accurate?

I've now seen this too... looks like a winmo/compact framework issue (as the code looks right) - I'll look into a workaround to fix it!
How do you import map files?? I can't find anything in the prog nor do i understand the folder structure in the maps folder?

By default navmi uses downloaded maps from an OpenStreetMap server - as selected under Settings->Maps - the default is a fairly easy to read Navmi format served from CloudMade.
If you want these to download live during your ride, then on the "Plotting" page, choose "Auto download maps"
Personally, I tend to download maps offline - before I head out running - I'm on prepay! I do this by connecting to the web over ActiveSync or WiFi, starting an activity (that I never intend to keep), waiting until I get some GPS lock, switching the display to the map page and then scrolling around the UI to download all the areas I want to.
This OSM format maps is the main direction I want to continue moving forwards - it's easiest (requires least effort!). When you use this the structure in the maps folder is split up using zoom levels, then latitudes -it's a structure that's easy for navmi to read, but it's not a structure you want to play with yourself!
Beyond OSM, navmi also supports (adapted from the GCC code) a couple of alternative ways to use maps. To use any of these other methods, you must:
1. select "off" on the Maps settings
2. do not check Auto download maps
3. use File Explorer to ensure that the navmi maps folder is empty
With these 3 steps done... you can create your own maps using your PC - see instructions in line 547 and beyond in http://code.google.com/p/gccv2/source/browse/trunk/GpsCycleComputer/Readme.htm
I know at least one person is currently using GPS Tuner .gmi files with navmi - if you are, then please feel free to post with advice.
Hope that helps - sorry it's a bit long winded!

Workaround: Soft Reset
Nice to see you back cooking chris5s, but why not build with newer manila and wm?
I flashed this rom and got a problem getting data connection to connect. Your right this a good and stable version. thanks for rom
Edited: Working ok now
23569 is a great build with excellent stability, native threaded e-mail, good balance. I'm afraid I'm not going to be constantly updating this ROM unless there is very good reason. Taking a package from version 4.5.6.7.8.8 to version 4.5.6.7.8.9 is not necessary unless there is greatly improved and added functionality. New isn't always better. And 23569 works out of the box so that's good for me - no dialer issues, incoming caller display, bold fonts, etc.
Thanks for the comments guys, keep 'em coming!
Peace

yeah, but 23569 build is not that battery friendly like latest ones, and our battery on Topaz is not as high capesity as it should be
Coming soon ... Sense 2.5 with Documents tab ... as soon as my bandwidth allows
Download link changed. The rom now has the documents tab from Leo roms added.
Couple of file system tweaks added too. Running very fast and stable.
Thx
Downloading for installation.
Having problems with this ROM
First of all I'd like to thank you for this ROM. I've been using Energie ROMs for quite some time, but I wanted to have a look at some other ROMs.
After flashing this ROM, I keep getting Manila crashes. It seems Manila is causing this problem as I freezes (but I'm still able to use the phone (start menu and other programs will just run fine).
Could anyone else tell me if they're experiencing the same problem?
PS:
- I've flashed and reset the ROm several times, but I keep getting these freezes.
- Bluetooth doenst work via manila settings > connection manager. (Changing BluetoothPlatformType to 0 fixes this! > thx to Aman)
Any help would be much appreciated. Thx in advance for your help.
Kind regards
Silvio
Thanks for the info 007sly007. I will correct the bluetooth problem in the next update, whatever that is ha ha
As for Manila problems, mine is running smooth and I don't have any freezing issues. Have you added any extra apps to the rom after flashing? Try disabling some of the pages (tabs) and see if this helps - first one I would try is the documents tab, then go from there.
Peace, and thanks for the input.
Few days ago, I flashed your ROM. By now, it looks and works great. No freezes, no deadlocks, no redundant stuff. Something strange only happens with calendar appointments. They do not show up in the calendar at all. On the home screen and lock screen, everything is ok. I suppose it is not related with the ROM itself because another guy reported a similar problem with the build 218xx.
The problem with calendar appointments is somewhere in Manila because, in the Windows default view, everything is shown as it should. Except the lock screen – the calendar icon is displayed under the current time and date even if there are no appointments upcoming.

The cause found: In no way, it was related with the ROM. Actually, this was caused due to the date format that I had changed in the registry using a different format (I changed the yy.mm.dd. order). Manila is not able to recognize dates correctly when their format differs from the preset ones (it just takes that values in that way (in my case): the first part is a year, the second part is a month and a third part is a day) while Windows default handles it with no issues. Once I changed the date format back to that one available in regional settings, my appointments and all day events are displayed again (even using yyyy instead of yy). Now, the only major problem I can see is the orphaned calendar icon on the lock screen. But I hope to be able to find a solution by myself.
Thanks for the ROM.
I would really not to reflash this ROM with another one unless there is a very good and certain reason.

Added on 07.01.2011: There are more issues with the clock and alarms when traveling through several timezones.
I had to switch off the automatic adjustment of the clock. Otherwise, the clock started to add 1 hour from time to time.
When I had alarms switched on when entering another timezone I had to switch off all the alarms before manually changing the timezone. Otherwise, there are backups created somewhere in Windows system (not in the registry, I believe) and all of them are activated twice: when their time has come in the previous timezone and also when in the current timezone. For example, I had an alarm in Bangkok to wake me up at 6 AM. Once I moved to Singapore (-1 hour) and changed the timezone on the phone I got an alarm ringing at 5 AM (= 6 AM in Bangkok) and then at 6 AM (as it was actually set).
Such behavior with alarms only disappeared when I first switched all my alarms off, then changed the timezone (in such case, Windows usually asks whether you want to adjust your appointments to the new timezone) and then switched on all the necessary alarms again.
