Hi I currently have the Krusell Cabriolet for my 8125, which makes using it like a phone very simple. However, pushing it out to use the keyboard without opening a bunch of progams because I pushed buttons in the process makes this a little suboptimal. I don't like the book cases or flip cases because I want my screen uncovered for my own convenience (I have screen protector film and I'm satisfied with that level of protection).
After doing some research, I like the simple styling of the crystal clear case for the 8125 (see links below). Because it snaps on individually on both sides, there is no obstruction to opening the keyboard, and there is no flap over the screen. It is not as elegant as a leather case and not as bulky or heavy as an aluminum case.
My only issue is that it doesn't appear that it is sold with a belt clip. From the photos, it appears that there is an opening to attach a belt clip. I checked the Boxwave site and though they sell clear cases with swivel belt clips on other models, they don't do with some, including this one.
So finally...my question is, does anyone know whether I would be able to purchase a belt clip separately or (1) does this particular case not support a belt clip, (2) it would not be advisable to use with a belt clip even if it was possible, due to design issues (e.g., snap on case not that durable or snug a fit and phone might pop off, etc.)?

Do these plastic cases cover the screen? It seems they do not, but it is not obvious from the pictures.
They dont' protect the screen. I have one for my mda, and left it on there for like 5 mins. It makes an already bulky phone bulkier. Plus it just feels cheap, especially when you're sliding the keyboard open and shut. But I got it for $10 shipped, so whaddya gonna do? Check ebay for cheaper prices.
(This was with the MDA case...but maybe the 8125 is made with some true craftsmanship so as to avoid these problems )
Thanks just what I needed
Just wanted to say thanks I have been looking for a case like this.
Take care
Cases don't fit 8125
Regarding http://www.daydeal.com/home.php?cat=2262, those cases fit MDAs but will not fit on an 8125. Although both have basically the same form factor, there are enough differences in the edges of the phones and mail/IE button locations that the case will not fit. I learned from experience.
Hi all
I haven't found any topic about this case, so here it is:
I recently bought a Tuff-Luv Executive leather pouch for my HTC HD.
http://www.amazon.fr/Tuff-Luv-Execu...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1235746989&sr=8-1
It is quite good, the phone fits very well in it (the camera hole is a bit too low but it is ok anyway). the phone can still be easily to removed from the case.
And it is one of the few leather cases for that phone, that has a hatch that opens to the lower part of the phone (sorry, can't find the words in English, you can see picture) so this is appreciable.
everything is easy to access: stylus, usb port even when the case is closed , volume control, audio jack. Plus it is less expensive than Noreve and Proporta cases (probably not the same durability, but this I can only tell after a while, as it seems to carry on well for now)
So I would gladly recommend it. Anyone else has this case ?
Hope it works out for you. Looks like a pretty well made case.
I'm still trying a few different cases for my HD.
First was the PDA Air book style but it didn't take too long for me to get concerned the two plastic arms that holds the unit in the case are not that secure. The unit can slide and as it is also a belt clip case last thing I wanted was my new shiny HD sliding out and bouncing on the pavement. :-(
Currently have a two piece case of eBay described as "black rubber". Really more of a plastic than rubber and it will do for the short term as only a few dollars.
Today I ordered a Krusell Orbit case. Has the removable flap which covers the screen. I am hoping that with the main section of the case still on the unit it will still fit in the cradle I have. (My cradle has a bit of space around the unit which I hope will accommodate the case)
Your case look good too but the flap attached to the rest of the case at the base so wouldn't allow the unit to sit in the cradle.
Did anybody here buy the holster from the tmobile store that they have that the g1 supposedbly fits in?
its around 24$ i think.
It was closed by sort of 2 clip things.
i'm primarily looking for a horizntal belt holster...
any ideas?
i have the body glove, it is in that price range. love it if thats what your asking
Theres a magnetic one, that fits a sidekick, it's what i use.
Body Glove
I have the Body Glove also and it's great. Perfect for the person (like me) who is rough on phones. And it looks good too.
I purchased the crystal gel case from boxwave It covers the G1 completely and offers excellent protection for when you drop the phone. I also bought the niteize side belt case. It clips on your belt and the elastic allows it to expand enough for the phone with the gel case on it to fit. This case closes with velcro so there are no magnets to create problems.
I got the one from the T-Mobile store last week but it's not the up and down one. But I have to admit was worth the money (even though I didn't end up paying for it love the gf) The one I got sits sideways but very nice and fits the phone well. Was a little snug at first but about 2 days later the phone just slides in to the case very nice.

I talked to a TMO rep at the store and said no accessories for G1 should have any magnets due to the compass feature. He advised that if you are going to use an aftermarket case, to make sure it doesn't have any magnets. The case TMO sells are magnet free for the G1.
As for the holster, I have it and though it fits the phone snug, be careful as the screen is facing out so make sure you have a screen protector.
I just bought my G1 last 2 weekends ago with a tmobile store belt clip, fits perfectly, sturdy rotating clip for horizontal or vertical placement, gets annoying having to take it out to text or open keyboard but otherwise perfect...24$
the pleather tmo horizontal case with attached clip. it's soft but not screen friendly soft on the inside so the screen protector is a must. great product though.
One warning. If you have a tendency to forget to snap the buttons, make sure you're using a hard or jelly shell to make the phone fit snugly. the basic stretchy straps on the sides are just barely too long to make the phone 100% secure IMHO without it.
i personally like this one.
http://www.fommy.com/view-full-page.asp?divid=T-Mobile&model=T-Mobile+G1&cat=Cases&skuno=82922
you can use it with the screen either facing out for in for screen protection.
I bought this one by Seidio. I had one just like it for my Blackberry 8820 and loved it. I love this one too.
http://www.g1depot.com/seidio-spring-holster/4A24A4902.htm
Buy a bodyglove that has a belt clip for your g1 phone. You won't need to buy a suction cup or dash holder for your g1.
I clip it to my rear view mirror after pushing back the rear view mirror tab. Then I close the tab. Stays in place and very sturdy. It's even easier to see since it is under the rear view mirror and safer too!
I also can use the belt clip to hang the phone off my laptop. I don't clip it, just use the space between the glove and clip to hang it.
Also, the rubbery glove protects your phone if you drop it.
Arrrrgh! I'm wondering if anyone has found a (leather) flip case for the AT&T Tilt 2 they are happy with?
My phone is a little over a month old, and I'm getting desperate. I've been temporarily using a clear thing (case mate) AT&T sold me with the phone (it was all they had that would fit) until I found something that would work for me. I've been reading here, and finally took the plunge to get the Designio case discussed here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=584093
Unfortunately, either I got a bad case or I'm being too picky or whatever, but I'm not pleased.
My criticisms are:
The PTT button completely covered by the leather support piece (not sure that's what to call it, but there's a leather piece that runs along the left edge, or bottom with the keyboard open). The PTT button is still functional as long as I press the leather piece just right.
The plastic over the keyboard does not fit snuggly -- it bulges up about an eighth of an inch along the bottom of the keyboard (the left side of the phone), which is annoying enough when using the keyboard, but that bulge also keeps that edge of the phone from closing flat when then keyboard isn't out. I carry my phone in a dedicated pocket in my purse, and I'm constantly finding dust & such that gets under the loose plastic keyboard protector at the bottom of the keyboard (left side of the phone when the keyboard is closed) since there's a gap along that edge from the loose plastic. That's highly annoying for me.
#2 might not be much of a problem if the magnetic closure was snug, but it's not -- IMO, it's off by a little over a quarter of an inch. This allows the top cover to slide around enough that the screen isn't protected when the case is closed (particularly the bottom of both sides up about 2.5" and up to 1/2" in from the bottom corners). If the magnetic catch was appropriately placed, it could also eliminate the gap on the left side of the phone when the keyboard is closed.
Clearly, this isn't the perfect case for me. I thought perhaps I was being too picky, but the Krusell case for my old 8525 doesn't suffer from these problems.
So, if anyone has found a flip case (preferably leather, but that's not a deal breaker) for the AT&T Tilt 2 that doesn't suffer from these problems, please share
TIA,
Saundra
i'm not entirely happy with mine, but mine seems not to have the problems that you are finding wiht yours.
i use the Capdase case, http://www.capdase.com/en/product4.php?cid=1&bid=5&mid=48, and it's a soft leather case that comes in two styles, either a "book"/side flip, or the top flip which i got.
main pro is that it uses small tabs on all 4 corners to clip on to the lower/keyboard half of the phone, allowing you full access to all buttons, the usb port, and the keyboard, without any plastic in the way. the tabs also seem to be more robust and likely to last longer than the seidio innocase tabs which i used on my kaiser. those tend to wear down and break off after about 2 years of use.
on the cons, i dislike the flap, which only has room to store 2 microsd cards and 1 extra sim card. i've already lost 1 sd card, though i am not 100% certain if it was my fault or the case (i was showing the phone to some friends the night i lost it). it also does not have any storage space for a credit card or similar, even though it would've been minimal cost to add one.
if only i could have the flap from your case, and the base of mine. then it'd be perfect.
Thanks for the input! It does sound as though we could have the perfect case with your base & my flap.
I'm in the US, and I couldn't find any retailers for that particular Capdase -- lots for iPhones. Of course.
It looks like I could maybe get it through eBay, which is good to know in case I just can't get the Designo to work for me.
Thanks again!

Noreve
I am using the Noreve case available at www.noreveusa.com I like it a lot. It too covers the push to talk button, but since I'm using a custom ROM it has no functionality anyway. The Piel Frama case I had for my Original Touch Pro, there was that darn plastic sheet covering the keyboard and frankly I think that sucks. Granted the noreve case is squirrely when the keyboard is open, but unless you are able to drive and text or ride a bike and text or a motorcycle and text, well you'd do better to spend your money on a funeral plan than a case. My only complaint about the Noreve case is the belt clip sucks. I am using an old Piel Frama belt clip since it fits my belt better. I also personally LIKE the looks of the larger Piel Frama TP2 case, but most have commented on how ugly it looks.
If you're crafty...
As we've come to realize, ATT has delivered the Tilt 2 in a state that requires serious hacks to make the simplest changes. In keeping with that line of thought, I've modified a clear plastic case and added a leather flap with a pocket for credit cards and memory stix. And - Unlike some commercial flaps, when this flap is closed, nothing can slide out of the pocket. Here's how you can too...
Note to Boy Scouts: I've included more detail below than many of you here may need. After buying the case, reviewing the pix and the dimensions, you may be able to fore-go most of the tedious instructions below.
PIX
I've posted a series of pix on photobucket (sadly, I'm too new and untrustworthy to provide direct links to them here). To review the photos:
1. Go to the PhotoBucket website.
2. Click the Drop-down arrow on the right side of the "Search" box and select "People" for the search type.
3. Search for my id, "fractalcracker". Zoom in to view the 5 photos in the default album.
Plastic Case
Two-Piece (front and back) Plastic Case from the ATT store: $29.99 (ridiculous, yes I know...). Find it online at the ATTWireless website by searching "Accessories" for part number "75525". The Back piece clips on to back of phone and allows you to access all buttons and slide open the keyboard. After adding this leather flap, you won't need the front piece of the case.
Leather Pocket Flap
The leather flap is similar to a wallet pocket. In fact you might be able to cut a wallet apart to make the flap. I'll give you directions to make this one by hand from a small piece of leather. If you don't have scrap leather, cut up your wife's (or your own) purse. Good luck with that one...
Leather Measurements:
You'll need a thin, pliable piece of leather 4 inches high by 5-1/2 inches wide. We'll cut 2 pieces as follows...
Outside flap piece:
3-1/4 inches wide from left to right.
4 inches high from top to bottom.
Pocket piece:
2-1/4 inches wide from left to right.
4 inches high from top to bottom.
Assembly
1. Cut leather pieces.
2. Lay the smaller (pocket piece) on the table so that what will be the 'hidden side' (inside of the pocket) is facing up. Align it so the narrow edge is closest to you.
3. Apply a thin bead of super-glue to the top, left and bottom edges of the pocket piece. The 4th, unglued side will be the opening of the pocket.
4. Lay the flap piece down on the table so the inside of the flap is facing up. Align it so the wide edge is closest to you.
5. Pick up the pocket piece and flip it over from left to right so the glue side is down. Align it above the right side of the flap piece and glue the 2 pieces together so the top, bottom and right edges are aligned.
6. To form the hinge, apply a thin bead of super-glue to the flap piece, running from top to bottom along its left edge (opposite the pocket).
For below - remember, we're only referencing the back side of the plastic case - not the front.
7. Lay the plastic case on the table, 'opening-side' up. Rotate it so the camera hole in the back cover is furthest from you. Slide the plastic case over so the right edge of the plastic case is aligned next to the left edge of the leather flap (pocket side up with pocket on the right side of the flap).
When we glue the flap to the case, we want the super-glued hinge joint to be about 1/16th inch below the face of the plastic case. That way, the leather flap will bend back enough to allow the phone screen to slide over it whyen you slide open the keyboard.
8. Stand the plastic case up by raising the left side and tilting it to stand on its right side. Align the right side of the case above the glue line on the left edge of the leather flap.
9. Press the right side of the plastic case down in place on the flap piece so the glue line on the leather flap is about 1/16th inch below the top face of the plastic case.
When it dries, press the phone into the plastic case and get on with your life!
May the force be with you...

Hey everyone,
Since I typically use a flip case (a regular case with a protective cover for the screen that flips open) with all the phones I've owned, I thought I'd open a thread to start a discussion about people's experiences and recommendations with flip cases for the 6T.
Share something and help someone with what product to use!
Reserved
I'm currently using this one:
Foluu Compatible OnePlus 6T Case,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K2S5DFC?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
Pros:
+ magnetic edge on flip cover afixes the flip cover to the back, neatly preventing flapping
+ the sides of the phone are completely covered by a transparent bumper, with cutouts only for usb, alert slider, and speakers
+ relatively screen protector friendly
Cons:
- not a smart cover
- back cover is not a single piece with the sides, adding to bulk
Again, the pro/con list reflects my personal preferences and of course, may not apply at all to you.
Orzly Wallet Flip Case looks decent enough. I am currently using the oneplus 6t flip case with card slot, and its okay. Doesnt flap much, but it does not compare to my last otterbox strada case for the iphone 8 plus. Still looking for something similar.
I've also purchased some ringke 3m card slots, both the plastic and the nylon to add to the tpu cover that was included with the phone. Although not a flipcase, the downside with not having a solid magnet or full edge protection gives higher probability of the phone landing face down when dropped.

I second the motion -- the Otterbox Strada on my Samsung S7 Edge is the gold standard for me. Most expensive case I've bought but has lasted many multiples longer than any other case. It's still a tank and still in use nearly three years later.
Closest case for OnePlus to that standard was the Tech21 flip case for my 6. Don't think they make it for the 6T though.
I'm using the flip case that I got from OnePlus when it's working fine.I've had better and I've had worse but pretty good I'm happy. No issues,, thinking about getting a OtterBox when they come out just for safety. But they're so big and bulky and ugly.,,,,,,,, I guess we'll see
I like cases.
My wife thinks that I have a fetish for phone cases.
I change them when I go out depending on what I feel like.
Here are the flip cases that I have purchased so far;

Old School fun right here... I have purchased so many freaking cassettes over the years.. ugh. Why not put my phone in one...
I chose the white and green tape.
https://ca.mobilefun.com/olixar-xtome-leather-style-oneplus-6t-book-case-brown-70015
Old brown leather bound book.
I think that this book one will be my favorite flip case.
Only the Cassette tape case has come in so far.
It's a bit larger then a real cassette tape and it's a big large for the phone.
Then I've purchased another half dozen or so hard cover cases/non flip.

Damn, your wife's probably right..!
But it could be worse: you could have a phone fetish instead of a phone case fetish, and that would be much more expensive.
The flip cases that I have ordered so far have come in.
Also, two of the hard cases have arrived as well. (As an aside, I don't like any of those yet. We will see if the rest of the hard cases are any better)
I like the oneplus oem flip case because it is the only one that has a magnetic feature that turns the screen on and off.
That is nice.
But I find it too small and it doesn't offer much protection.
And it only has one debit card slot.
Not useful as a wallet.
The oneplus, cassette tape and book flip cases do not have a magnetic clasp to keep them closed.
I kind of like that feature.
It gives me a fidget to play with.
And it makes it more noticeable if someone opens the case to take my debit card? Dunno.
Lol
Taking a look at the back side of these cases, some of them are not like the others.
Some of the cutouts look off.
I haven't checked them to see if it affects function or not.
Honestly I don't use the camera much anyways.
If anyone has any questions about these cases, let me know and I will do my best to answer them.
If anyone has a suggestion of another flip case for me to try out, then I am all ears!
P.S. And yes. The book is my favorite case so far. Followed by the Tardis.
Hi, I am looking for the same, but it is so hard... I know exactly what I want but all of the good looking cases are plastic inside and all the silicone ones are not-so-good looking.
Anyone found so far a sleek and elegand flip case with silicone inside?
