How to install MoDaCo Rom, and ROOT access?
THX for the answer and help
Information about the phone:

Baseband version: 63.18.55.06IU_6.35.08.22
Kernel version: 2.6.27-430d1aea
Build number: 2.73.116.61

hmm the latest update I know from t-mobile was 2.73.110.26. wasn't it ? Can anyone verify this.

In Poland. But this is a Hungarian one

look for how to create a GOLD CARD first, its sticky in hero section, thats the way i did. i just read the forum and follow i didnt have any problems so far.

Which solution to use, if i want root acces?
If i had root access, i can install custom rom for example MoDaCo custom rom?

Just did what he said above... Or use the links you've already found. After that you can install Modaco (BTW you don't have to have root access, Modaco's ROM's are preroot-ed).

I'm having the same problem and have searched and searched.
I understand that it needs to be done with Odin, but exactly how the process needs to be done does not seem to be explained. I have tried using Odin with .tar file in all of the possible slots, but nothing seems to work.

[Q] New to Xperia Mini Pro SK17A

Hello guys
I´m a newbie in this new phone... i owned an HTC HERO that i was completely good on rooting, installing ROMS etc...
But i´ve got this phone now.
Did a lot of research, read a lot of things but i´m not sure. Hope you guys can help me.
My Xperia mini pro is on its stock(factory) rom:
android 4.0.4
baseband 8x55A-AAABQOAZM-203028G-72
2.6.32.9 kernel
version 4.1.B.0.431
I´ve tried a lot of apps to root it(superoneclick, z4...) but none of them worked.
I´ve read that to root it, it should downgrade to another android version, root and them upgrade.
Is that correct? Or this device with this version of android and baseband can be rooted?
Thank you
Sergio.
It can't be rooted as it is now.
Either unlock the bootloader and install a pre-rooted kernel, or downgrade to GB and root it following THIS tutorial.
Also, if you read it already, I don't really understand why you are still asking how to do it

ICS Firmware is impossible to root directly so far , you need to downgrade your phone to an older GB firmware if don't want to unlock bootloader here's the tutorial it's working 100%
Ok.. understanding more now...
which one is "safer" downgrading or custom kernel direct?

It's up to you .... if you want to unlock bootloader than only downgrading method is possible DO NOT flash a kernel with locked bootloader !

It's not bad if you try to install custom kernel with locked bootloader. The installation won't succeed as custom kernel has no official signature, so the installation won't be done.

hit thanks if i helped you!!!
I used the dwn gradng process,,,nw rooted.
Sent from my ST15i using xda app-developers app
i advice yhu Unlock BL first using Test Point Method den install Custom Pre-Rooted Kernel or get a good Pre-Rooted ROM!!!
Test Point Method:- http://androidflip.com/unlock-xperia-phones-bootloader-without-losing-drm-data-track-id-working/
i used dat for my mini pro.....
Both methods are interesting......
Anyway, thank you very much guys, really.
Will try any of them soon.
Hi again Guys,
I need an info here.
I´ll downgrade the mini pro to GB and root.
After that, should i flash the ICS via flashtool or can i update it from SUS/Pc Companion or OTA?
In which case from SUS/PCCompanion or OTA i will loose the root?
Or i should ignore it and update via Flashtool?
I did not understand that part of the guide(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695514)
try to make in a few words(correct me if i´m wrong):
Download GB firmware and flash using flashtool
Root via Doomlord
The part III(preparation to root 4.0.4) ok.
After this, this is my doubt. Should i Flash ICS from flashtool or update it by SUS/PCCompanion/OTA ?
Flash GB.
Root it.
Run push_local.prop.cmd
Upgrade to ICS:
a) Using Flashtool -> Make sure you don't Wipe data. uncheck that box.
b) Using PC Companion / SUS -> Make sure you choose not to wipe data, too.
Run the other file which name I don't remember
That's all
ICS is not available via OTA.
Doesn't matter how you update, as long as you do the 01-....cmd file before updating.
If you use Flashtool, make sure to uncheck Wipe Data option.

I think the best option is really to download the Stock rom from Sammobile. Why can't you download?
I have the same problem,
the device is rooted but I cannot access the memory from the pc (I see a 128 mb partition and the sd card but cannot write anything).
When talking about the original rom, are we talk about the original firmware (1.2 gb)?
If yes, after I reinstall it using Odin,
what will be the status of the device? Rooted or not?
Thanks

Thanks for reply,
that true as I've already done it.
I haven't found the same exact firmware I had but anyway the device is full working again.
For some reason none of the rooting tutorial worked for me.

I hope I'm giving you the right info as I am translating into italian, last line is:
SEPF_GT-I9205_4.2.2_0019
If it is not I can take a picture of the full info screen.
Following the rooting tutorial I was able to root the device, but I had the following problem:
- Device memory was not recognized by the OS (win7) as explained in this thread. SD was recognized but not writeable.
- The device had the 2 red error lines when booting.
- After boot the device presented an error that something was triyng to go inside a protected area. I don't remember the exact error.
- There was no way to make wireless connection working and perhaps wasn't the only problem.
I hope all these info can be useful to someone
Cheers
I was expecting a version number like : I9205XXUCNxx .
If this the case the ROM you have installed is with KNOX and if you want to root it you have to use the procedure given HERE

Or flash MegaFire V10 ROM from @megalomanic14. It's proven so one can flash this (4.2.2) rom over KK with new bootloader. Then you will have all functionality back and already rooted system.

Glad you could get rooted, is there a CWM or TWRP recovery image available for your device? If there isn't one available you may have to compile it yourself using this guide. What are you currently using to try and install recovery?

For any ROMs you would need a custom recovery. Unfortunately as the winter is my busiest time at school, I won't have time to compile a recovery for you until at least the end of March. However if you send me your stock recovery.img and stock boot.img I will see if I have time earlier.

I just need the original boot.img and stock recovery.img for your phone, you can use either terminal emulator or adb shell to dump those. Let me know if you need more detailed instructions.

Amazing ! Thanks , That´s What I was looking for. I will follow those steps, I was stuck in the TWRP logo, it was like a loop and it didn´t continue with its options, I dunno why, but I m going to do it again by flashing with Twrp , .
Currently I´m using the latest Evolution rom but my cellphone is getting slow sometimes so Im gonna use another custom rom and test how it works .
Thanks again !
