Hi,
I'm considering buying a XDA online from http://shop.brando.com.hk/
I myself live in the Netherlands and since it's not around the corner, I was wondering if some of you have experience with this online shop ?
Is it reliable ?
Thanks for your input !

haha, buying from that place is so X....... if you lots on money, buy from him. I bought my 3 weeks ago Scadisk 256MB for Singapore dollar $169 only
Do it in holland
Bram,
I bought my XDA second hand and the seller decided it would be a good idea to upgrade it before being sold.
It has been upgraded end of march and it works like a charm.
He also gave me the bill of the upgrade since there is warranty!
Upgrade has been ordered from PDA Tech Center in Maarssen. Price was 99 Euro. There website is http://www.sfinx.demon.nl/palm
I am not affiliated in any way to them.
Robert
Why is it so slow to be avilable in other countries?
The 64MB XDA has been out in Asia for may months!
Brando
I've ordered a stylo and a protection seal for my screen over there.
It was delivered very quick. They sent me the wrong stylo and they sent me a new one for free and payed the returning stamps for me.
Good service at Brando!!
Stefan
哈哈 ,
FYI, brando stuff are very expensive... at least $50 exp... if you got plenty of $$$ get form him. there was time the ram is $100 more then others people is selling
So I have been considering the HTC Flyer for a while because I was one few people that enjoyed the previous tablet/stylus era. But like everyone else I was pissed at the $80 stylus.
Today I was checking out the Best Buy website and I can't find the pen anymore. In fact the entire accessory tab is gone when you view the Flyer.
Maybe I am missing it, but I know I found it last week and now it seems to be gone. Do you think Best Buy/HTC actually listened to the public outcry and learned from the Xoom sales debacle and has decided to include the pen. (Or maybe they are just thinking about it, because the pen still isn't listed as being included either.)
save yourself $20 + taxes and get it fro mExpansys for $60

Stylus NOT Included in BB Package
I too have been checking on the Flyer for several weeks, went ahead and prepurchased it and picked it up May 22. The HTC pen was not there, checked back with BB and all they could say was $69 and it's yours. Been playing with it for several hours and I may yet return it as I can not see the worth. I have the Dell Streak 7 that my son wants, is the Flyer worth the big $. 12 days to return or not?

Return it if you don't see the benefit of the pen. For the money there are a lot of other tablets out there in or below the price range without pen integration.
I personally would not keep the Flyer without the pen integration.
Pen back @ BB site
Here it is
So the pen is back up, and I must say I love the pen for writing, although school doesn't roll back up until June 6th I'm doodling more than I should be haha... I admit 80 USD is steep in my opinion and Expansys seems to be the best route right now...
Word is other N-trig pens will work that might be priced lower. I could be wrong and haven't tested this but, Supposedly the Fujitsu stylistic q550 pen will work. It's $29.99 at CDW part number FPCPN36AP. At least thats the part on the Q550 sales page for accessories. If this is the case, no more $80 pens.
I have a HTC stylus and another one given to me by my dad. If anyone wants it I will let it go for $50 plus $6 for shipping.
The stylus for Fujitsu new tablets works flawlessly on the Flyer
Returned the $80 pen to bestbuy. Ordered the $25 pen directly from Fujitsu. Will post when I get it to test.
ordered fujitsu pen
heard this supposedly works. we will see. i got free shipping so only had to tax. paid $26 and some change. used coupon code FPCFS67EP to get free shipping.
There are several styli packs on the Fujitsu website. Which one is it? Can you please post a link?
Do a stylus need for a Flyer?

BE AWARE....if you use this coupon for Free Shipping and try to use PayPal to pay, the shipping won't be waived. The cart shows the free shipping, but the discount is not sent to PayPal for some reason.
I noticed this right after I placed my order and sent an email to Fujitsu to see if they can refund the $5 shipping charge.

Does anyone know where one could buy a 3G/32GB HTC Flyer in the UK, other than Carphoneware Warehouse? I mean where the Flyer is in stock.
Cheers.
I Just got a HTC Flyer 32Gb 3G Free from e2save. You have to get a phone as well so I got the cheapest one available a nokia 1800. Tariff is £27 a month for 200 min, unlimited text and 500mb data. On 02 but e2save give you a choice. They advertise it as a free gift but its the 16BG one but they will upgade it to a 32 GB one FOC
I got mine from CEX (http://uk.webuy.com
Boxed 32gb 3g/wifi. Was secondhand but in perfect nick with the pen/case etc etc and cost me £240.
Bargain!
got one, can sell it
Hi,
Not sure if you are still looking, but I got one 3G/32Gb + 32Gb SD that I am thinking about selling.
Let me know if you are interested. It's in perfect state, with two stylus, screen cover, leather (real) cover.
Bought about a year ago on expansys UK.
Cheers
Antoine
I am in the US looking to buy one of these. Any recommended sellers?
From xperia blog they recommend Clove and Handtec from the UK. Handtec seems cheaper (vs ebay for perhaps better returns/warranty).
I'd appreciate any recommendations from people here who have purchased.
Handtec sells for $572. Ebay is closer to $540
If I do get it from ebay (from taiwan or HK), could I run into issues with languages?

I got one from clove. No issues.

I purchased mines at Plemix for $520 + $28 shipping. Also purchased a Z1 compact there with no problems. Shipping was within 2 days so that's a plus. Currently, there's a free 32 GB memory card special until the end of the month. Haven't really had any issues with them and never really contacted customer service so I can't say anything about that. Not too sure about the returns/warranty but there's info about that on their website.
Thanks. Although from some quick research on Plemix I see some mixed reviews. I'm sure most of these places online are fine if everything goes smoothly. Its really when something goes wrong (ie. item arriving damanged, DOA) to see how it is handled.
I've also noticed that Amazon UK has it for cheaper than Clove and Handtec. The Xperiablog article said AmazonUK does not allow VAT to be excluded but it was excluded when I added it to the cart. Actually, I notice I can buy directly on Amazon US for around $540. I might just do that.

Isn't the one listed on amazon from third party retailers like expansys? I wonder how they handle returns just in case.. any idea??
I got mine from Amazon for $550 and received it next day thanks to Prime shipping. No issues.
I ended up ordering through amazon as well. I decided to save $10 and get the non-prime option. Although I ordered it Friday and it came today. I just wasnt at home to sign for it. (Missed the guy by 10min)
I think the only issue will be if I need to send it back for warranty. I'll have to pay shipping both ways to Hong Kong or Taiwan or wherever the phone originated from.

I live in Australia and have bought the z1 and z3 compact from Clove UK, have bought other tech from Handtek, had no problems or issues with using Australia cell provider, support or anything. I now have the z5 compact which I bought from ebay Quality Deals Store on Ebay when ebay had 20% off store wide recently, got it delivered for a bargain $600 AUD. The phone came quick, set it up in English easy and it works on Australian networks etc. Couldn't be happier ☺
Amazon was perfect for me. These past two weeks has it seldom carry the Z5c as Prime... usually a seller ships some 10 devices to Amazon's warehouses (to be categorized as Prime) but those fly off the shelves. In the past two weeks I have seem some 60 Z5c as Prime to disappear within hours, but if you look daily, they are there.
If you are in the US, at $550 Prime is worth it over ebay's $540 in my opinion; faster shipping and 30 days possibility to return it.
do you need amazon prime account for it? is this different from 3rd party sellers on amazon?
