Can someone who knows about haret/android etc possibly let me know what mtype I need put in startup.txt for the newer versions of haret for the X7500 Athena
http://sourceforge.net/projects/htcuniversal/files/Athena/
Here is all the android Athena staff everything is working except wifi and phone/modem , if you have some linux knowings you could try to fix it . And maybe you could help me im trying to port the Android from NAND from the HTC Nike to the athena using the tinboot bootloader but i cant extract the .nb file and anrdroid from NAND makes only sense if the phone is working.

I'm hoping that those in the know may be able to clear up a few things for us.
I've been thinking about joining in on the GPS development stuff and I noticed that there was a complete trinity dopod rom featuring radio 1.24.00.11 and the 107 radio bootloader which would make it a candidate for the 1.04 bootloader type 2 radio upgrade. I've run the upgrade to grab the NBH out of temp and used NBHextract to get all the parts.
I'm assuming (possibly wrongly) that the next step would be to use either typhoonnbfdecode or alpinenbfdecode (I've got the most recent activestate distribution, stuck in the extra repositories and downloaded the modules) to encode the gsm nb into a radio_.nbf to replace in one of the radio-only upgrades. This is where I don't know what params I should be passing, or even if I'm completely off my block.
Uh, and can someone verify what the last .xx means in the radio roms because the last time I saw pof post it was .10 and .01 meaning opposites of GPS enabled/disabled but we're seeing .11 radios.
Edit: Yeah, looks like I'm completely off my block and missing a few steps.
NBF format is the same used in HTC Universal ROMs, typhoonnbfdecode or alpinenbfdecode are not good to encode in this NBF format, you can use HTC64 Extended ROM tool to make the nbf file:
1. decode any existing radio in nbf format
2. replace radio_.fat file with your extracted GSM.nb file
3. encode the radio again
Radio ending in .x1 means GPS is enabled, Radio ending in .x0 means GPS is not enabled. The first digit I don't know what it means.
Cheers pof... I'll put that radio together later. AKU3.3 temptations aside... whenever it hits the ftp
O.k... task done, radio 1.24.00.11 working on the Hermes (haven't checked call quality but haven't had a problem since day one with any of them). Haven't checked the GPS stuff yet, will do in a bit.
Anywhere on the ftp where we should put Trinity "reconstituted" radios?
Great, put it on Hermes upload folder and I will move it to a "trinity" folder under hermes extracted radios
Done, filename is Trinity1.24.00.11toHermesType2.zip.
Tested:
GPS with [email protected]=1,1,3,3 gave me some "longer" GPGSV lines after a little while, so I guess we're getting some info.
GPRS/3G connections didn't die unlike some feedback we had on the earlier trinity rom.
Nothing else seemed to die either.
Now I'm off to look at what these lines actually mean...

check our thread (technical discussion) you will find alot of infos there.. i've just flashed aku 3.3 (modding to german atm) including the gps 1.24.00.11
so i will see if something is different now with the gps..
Hi, did anybody already use Tadzio's bigstorage toolchain.
This can dump a nbh/nb file and rebuild to nb/nbh (and in theory save storage on athena memory).
I tried to dump the Black Dual by PK 3.0 ROM with this tool, but if i rebuid then i get a smaller file, OSchecker.exe says that this will lead to bad blocks.
Message in toolchain:
ImgFs Flash Region log blocks was 0x478, now is 0x3e8
No Storage Flash Region found!
If i run the toolchain in -conservative mode i get same log blocks size, but still message "No Storage Flash Region found!"
OSChecker still says will lead to bad blocks.
Is it possible with Athena to remove bad blocks with mtty, like with hermes?
Did somebody use this tazio tool, and got any success with athena?
Is it correct to run in -conservative mode and then flash, or am i doing anything wrong?
I decompiled and recompiled the nb/nbh with duttys good nbhtool, is this okay for athena?
All i want is to dump the ROM make some modifications, and rebuild and flash save.
it was designed for devices with NAND flash rather than a DoC like the athena.
Use mamaich's origional tools and dutty's NBH tool/nbhgen.
like said thousands of time before. the athena is like midget said a DoC device. This means the disk is setup in partitions. U can create a smaller os.nb but it will not mean more storage bc of the set partition for the os.nb
Edit: Also my rom has no rgus meaning even if u dump and package. u will not be able to rebuild bc of the missing rgus. this is ment to be like that so no one will just dump my rom, change some things, and upload saying it is their own. Use midget's kitchen as it is same build and just add your own packages. Remember to donate to him if u use his kitchen.
Can anyone confirm or deny that either of the two programs work with the brand new rom?
They didn't with 3.27. There also is a newer version of Card Export out now.
Still not working for me on the official 3.35 ROM. I'd love to get this fixed. That was an essential feature for me and it sucks not having it.
Were you referring to Card Export II 3.08 or WM5torage?
both....
I was running Card Export 3.06, so when I saw your post I was hoping 3.08 would work. Installed it and still no love. This sucks.
Edit: I submitted a bug report at Softick's website. Here's hoping for a resolution
WM5torage 1.75 works with the new rom.
Not working for me. Did you do anything special? What ROM are you running? I'm on the official Sprint 3.35 release.
Also posted at PPCGeeks,
For those interested in Card Export/WM5torage:
I don't know about everyone else, but the ability to use my phone as a flash drive for transfering files is a huge advantage for me. Activesynce/WMDC blows, and is not installed on every computer. Since the update to 3.XX ROMs, neither of these programs has worked (at least for me). I've been in touch with Softick (makers of Card Export) and I think we will have a solution soon. I've run some debug programs for them and they have developed a working version. Not sure when the final release will be, but hopefully soon. I was amazed at how responsive their team was. The day after I emailed them, the developer was in contact with me. I ran some debug programs, and the next day he had a working test version for me to try. Really awesome to see them working that quickly to develop a fix. If I hear anything about the final release I'll post again. Just thought some people might want to know.

is this inaccurate information??
i have both working on dcd 3.01 rom with the new 3.35 radio. I also discovered a way to unhide the extrom in dcd's kitchen and without the bug that happens when u follow this links suggestion : http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...ghlight=EXTRom
I have the phone recognize my extrom as a Mounted Volume or a harddrive for a lack of a better term. This means that since it is recognized as other than an extension of the primary, u could get files to treat it like a 2nd harddrive, maybe have a two OS's installed at 1 time. ( wm5 and then wm6 ) just boot into which 1 u want to use. or im working on trying to get the WM^ to treat it like a swap file for extra 10mb of memory. swap files r treated just like system memory by the Operating system.
any how u just have to make some reg changes and u are in business

would you care to further explain exactly how you got wm5torage and card export working on dcd's 3.01 rom with the new 3.35 radio? cause i jus tried both on the same rom and it's a no go for me, using the computer operating system windows XP. i have seen them work in linux.
well first i have the security and encryption off/ second, my version of both those progs are cracked, so they have been altered and third i thinks got something to do with the fact that i use QPST program which i have both 6700 and 6800 usb drivers on my phone. i use the 6700 usb drivers for that program and possibly thats what is making those programs work. U know because i havent had a problem with them i never thought about it./ but i couldnt but a 100 percent sure, but it would be my best guess. besides from my last post u can see that i have been messing with my extrom in which i use the 2 progs to help me with
how'd u get the 6700 usb drivers on your phone? u cooked it in using dcd's kitchen? where'd u get the 6700 drivers from? the apache kitchen??
card export II seemed to work w/ linux for me (did an "ls" to see the directory listing), However, when used with Server 2003 (my regular desktop that has activesync), it mounted itself, but when I went to see the drive, it was empty.
exactly the same for me. works in linux...and is visible but empty in windows. wonder how bunvilla got it to work. he's the only one so far that's been able to get them working.
says the drivers from the 6700 is on his 6800...sounds very likely to work that way but.....wonder how he got the drivers from the 6700??
Hopefully they will figure out something soon. This program is really helpful.
i want to make sure we are on the same page ok. When i use that program I only have access to my SD card. I cant access my phone folders. So when im at work and i want to save something to my sd card i turn on Card Export II 3.08 and then the little green light comes on and in a minute it shows up when i click "my computer" icon. But u know something ever since i changed the extrom to Mounted Volume ( no i didnt just rename the Extrom to Mounted Volume) it shows up too as a little 9mb removeable drive right below my Sd card.
so in the main directory there are 2 extra removable drives that shows up, and the only thing i can think of is my SDcard is formatted fat32.
Oh and by the way i didnt extract the 6700 usb drivers from a 6700 phone, i got them from a website and i rename my usb drvs for the 6800 and use the 6700 usb drvs and then switch when im done.
someone told me that i was doing it the hard way but it works for me. hope this helps some,
there are those times when stuff jus doesnt work for everyone else. sound like a lucky dude and congrats...cause NO ONE else can get it to work. not even the company who created the program. they're supposed to be working on a fix now.
well u know something else that i have that nobody else seems to have is the extrom , on my version of DCD' 3.01 everyone else seem to have issues with that too. at best they get extrom and extrom2 showing up when they use No2chem unlock extrom in the root directory of thier phone. I include a thumb shot of my root and u will see that i not only fixed that issue i also have the extrom show up as a removable drive and it changed from extrom to Mounted Volume and i didnt rename it that, it happened because of the reg edits i made and flashdrv.dll i used. im surprised that doesnt get your curiosity. I can both read and write to it, might even be able to add it to the pagepool. im working it right so i will let u know if i succeed .
WM5torage 1.8 hacked version working
Hey all. Found this on one of the kaiser forums.
I can verify that I have successfully used this cab on my sprint mogul with OLD stock rom 2.17
The steps required are as follows:
1.Install hacked cab below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=69221&d=1202300677
2.Soft Reset
3.Click yes to install card export and then OK to error messages
4.Open WM5torage and disable rndis
Note:According to thread, this will not work if you have ever installed card export on your system. Not sure why
Note 2: I am using 512microsd card with stock rom. I am about to reflash (for a change) and will repost later with my custom rom based on new 3.35

it gets my curisoty as well. one thing i have to say is it appears your level of geekiness is definitely a step above mines. u're a smart guy man. would be nice if you could maybe dump that rom of yours for us and maybe create a bunvilla's rom based off dcd's 3.01 with wm5torage and a mountable extrom working. im almost certain it would get a substantial amount of users.
Today I heard that there are touch dual with wifi exists in China's market, but I can find no wifi patches to download. I guess if Niki can get wifi with a port of wifi drivers from kaiser. So I copyed the kaiser's wifi related dlls and dumped the kaiser's registry.
With the dlls and the registry, the wifi button on htc comm manager can select but I can not enable wifi function. And the WLANSettings.exe can not run well. I know there must be something error in the wifi's EEPROM.
Can some one here who have enabled the wifi in SPL release some patches that only fix EEPROM and can boot from normal nike os?
lol............
I'm no expert... but i'm PRETTY sure it's about 1000 times more complicated than just importing some DLL's.
This has already been tried, but I'm sure if you searched you would have seen that.
yes, I know that won't work. I just want somebody post some tech information about how we can get correct eeprom data.
Hello guys i have just moved from HTC Wizard Thread because i have sold my old Wizard and have bought my brand new T-Mobile MDA Vario IV. Flashing, Dumping, etc on Wizard was really simple. But in Touch Pro i cant get through the all things. Maybe it is my not very good technical english or something. All i do is just reading and reading and cant get through. So I have still my stock ROM for Vario IV wich is even slower than Wizard custom ROMs, so its annoying a lot and it is still slow after i made all the registry tweaks! I would like to flash new faster ROM but i do not want to do it until i am sure i could reconstruct my stock ROM in case of some warranty isues. First thing i want to say is that i use Windows Vista Bussines x64 so maybe all my problems are in the case of 64bit drivers, but i did not find any compatibility information about all the utils.
1. I went to the thread how to dump and reconstruct Touch Pro ROM. I made all the necesary things but i cant even extract any raw file still get ITReadDisk error which i find in the thread but i did not get any solution.
2. I have downloaded T-Mobile ROM from czech T-Mobile official pages extracted the file RUU_signed.nbh, but i do not know how can i extract it. ROM kitchen did not help, or even if i can use it to reconstruct :-(
3. I tried NBHextract file but i think it is not usable for Touch PRO. I got few files SPL, 2x MainSplash and OS image, all *.nb, but i am not sure if i can use it to reconstruct original ROM.
Point of this, why i want ot do it is: I want to load HardSPL but i want to have backup of my stock SPL if i need to revert my warranty. Any help would be appreciated
I use Calkulin's Kitchen, which makes it easy to extract the RUU_signed.nbh and rebuild it. See the thread here or download the kitchen.
What program did you use to extract the ROM from your device? I used pdocread which worked great. Not sure if that works on Vista x64.

I used pdocread.exe file but anytime i tried to dump rom i got the ITReadDisk Error, and any RAW file was not made just the first one with 0B size. Also i have downloaded the Raphael kitchen from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=411915 and my Symantec endpoint security reported Trojan Horse in RaphaelCustomRUU.exe in Tools directory.
Sounds like it is not 64bit compatible. Any reason your running 64bit Vista? Unless you have a need for it your not going to see much performance difference on a desktop, just a hassle of compatibility problems with hardware that doesn't have 64bit drivers.
If you use Calkulin's Kitchen you will need the imgfstools from the Raphael kitchen you downloaded. They have been patched to allow ROMs to be larger than 128MB.
reason i run 64bit vista is that i have 8GB of RAM because i need to run multiple os in vmware. Will try it from win xp in vmware...
Anyway. Can i flash original ROM with all its parts shipped from T-Mobile to a device which has HardSPL applied? If i did that on HardSPLed HTC Wizard, i would have brick it...that is why i am asking.
