i would like to know or maybe someone can point me to the right thread or maybe to the cab if there is one that will show the pic of the person your texting just beside the text message in threaded style (ofcourse the contact number will have to have a pic added by you to be able to show on the conversation otherwise the text will show a silhouette of a person in it) below i have included a pic showing what im talking about i circle the subject of what im referring too.
i believe but i might be wrong but the touch pro 2 have this style of texting and other newly sprint phones out there, and since most of the pro2 software and apps has been ported to the touch pro i was hoping to find that style in a cab somewhere or at least someone guiding me to the right thread pls....i have a CDMA sprint touch pro with the latest stock rom 2.1

I beleive that is a stock sense 2.5 messaging app. I've tried it on different ROMs and didn't like. The problem that I have and as many others have complained about is you get like 20 threaded messages and it comes to a crawl cause it takes so long to load pictures and messages. Many of the chefs arent using it anymore...

so has anyone played with the sms and "mms" on the new sprint treo pro? the sms is better and when a piture comes in it automatically downloads the file soo no stupid link to view your picture....
has ne one seen or improved there sms on the mogul to do that ???

I have that MMS from the treo pro ported to my new TouchPro and coming from a Mogul I know how much that phone needs it, I don't know if it will install on one or not but you should hop over to ppcgeeks and search for arcsoft mms. Again, don't know if it is compatible with your phone or not but check it out.

i'm loharisan. i got a big Q for all of u that has used X10. Actually i've been using Windows Mobile 6.1 for almost 4 years till today. The most helpful and utilitarian function in WM 6.1 is contact searching mode at dialer.
i.e
if i'm gonna call 'JAMES' in my phone book directory, i just have to hit '5,2,6' at the T9 dialer pad then the contact no of james will appear without having had to search or browse for 'JAMES' in full contact list.. then by clicking at the contact appeared on the dialer screen i can directly call the person.. it is really helpful btw.
now after looking review at youtube and reading i notice that there is no explainantion about the capability of doing so in most recent reviews. actually i'm planning to get x10 this week.
so the question is, does android/ X10 is able to that? just as simple like WM6.1?

I feel your pain. AS far as I know it doesn't, unless of course, you can find a dialer in the market that implements that behavior.
If you want a 1 click dialer you can try "MeContacts". "Any cut" is also nice if you want a shortcut for a direct dial in your desktop.
After the update to 2.1 in September you can use this app:

hey instead of that, im just going to use another sms app, like GO SMS or handcent they give MMS support too i think
in your OTHER thread I sent you another MMS.apk that is more what you are used to. The previous one was from Cyanogen's rom... and while you call it ugly, its what most of us are dying for *the full rom that is*

I'm on galaxy s3 and hate the fact that it auto converts the SMS to mms when character exceeds 480.
And there is no option to disable this perk..
I don't want to use 3rd party apps like gosms and handcent for the simple fact that they don't support motion gestures like dialing the contact when phone is held to face.
I know there are various ROMs with this option...I am looking for a stand alone zip file that could be installed through recovery.
For the record I'm on XXALF2 ODEXED ...please help me find this app I'm sure there are a lot more people looking for this simple but necessary option..
Guess there is no much hack...although there are some cooked ROMs with this functionality..

Sorry to hear about this. I know it probably doesn't help much now, but if you just want to send Long SMS messages (over 3 SMS) you can use BigSMS. It doesn't support any of the gestures and stuff, but that isn't really the point. Most people type their message in the stock app then copy it to BigSMS and send. Not a perfect fix, just a solution.

I've searched everywhere over the internet and found little to answer my question. I make sms themes for GoSms, right. Though the problem is that the plugin installed into the go sms program is quite limited. I saw that a theme maker was available for pc before but last information I see in its regard dated to 2012 I believe. I looked for anything from 2014 but I can't find it now for download because every link I found resulted in an empty page. Am I missing something? How are people still sharing or selling themes on the Android market with such limitations on the plugin? I can't change the default avatar pic for contacts with no pictures, I can't change the background I'd like to use for the bubble chat.. the plugin only gives me option to change the color and transparency with the only option for a background for the message list and chat conversation window. I'm quite confused here. I would love to be able to share and sell some themes but I won't do it without being able to theme Go Sms completely (as in no limitations as the plugin has). Can anyone help me with this please? Give me some insight or something. I've overly confused myself and down to wanting to give up. Any useful info is very well appreciated.
