alarm clock problem - Hero, G2 Touch Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Problem: i set my alarm clock and phone only vibrate. I have chect everiting i know. Please help?

Get the free app 'Volume Control' from market and check the bottom slider 'Alarm Volume'. That might help

or just when your inside the current alarm, press "alarm sound" and once inside press the volume buttons on the side of your hero to adjust the alarm volume.

alarm volume

Hello,
did anyone figure out, how to adjust the volume of the original alarm clock?
It is terrible to get woken up by such a high volume... I can't figure out how to adjust it. There is no menu in the alam clock app as on the default android app, pressing the volume buttons inside the alarm clock only adjust ring volume... no way to set it in settings, notification volume also doesn't affect the alarm volume level.
Any clues?
best,
sunnnny
try with AudioManager. You can find it in the market
I replaced my original alarm clock with "Alarm Klock" - much more customisable and can set the volume to a percentage of the notification volume as well as fading it up. You can also alter your snooze length - which is perfect as I like mine at 7 mins!

AudioManager adjusts the alarm volume of android - but the SE alarm clock ignored it
So - no luck. Apparently I really have to use an alternative alarm clock.
Will try "Alarm Klock" next, thanks!

How do you unset Touchwiz clock's alarm?

My Touchwiz digital clock's alarm is always set, as indicated by the alarm clock icon in the notification bar.
When I tap on the clock and the alarm-setting window opens, it gives me no options to cancel the alarm. I set the alarm to silent and uncheck vibrate, but when I close out of this window, a small message appears and says something like my alarm is set to go off in 23 hours, 10 minutes. And the alarm clock icon is still in the notification bar.
Anybody know how to turn the damn thing off? Thanks!

Just delete the alarm? I am on Task650's ROM, but since it's touchwiz there shouldn't be a difference. There's a delete option next to done and cancel on the top of the page. I attached a pic.

Thanks, but I don't have a delete option showing on my screen. I just have Done and Cancel, but there is no Delete with a trashcan icon. I know there's got to be a way to turn the alarm off.
Anybody else?

Could you post a screen shot of how yours looks in comparison? I didn't have that problem before I rooted and what not. I just don't remember how it looked compared to mine now

Thank you immensely. I couldn't figure it out for the life of me.

How can i lock volume cm10?

Is there any way to completely stop volume adjustments in settings like stock "turn off sound" accessibility settings, I find it useful in school, Im open to a root solution
Another option is to disable the volume adjust sound and have an override to mute volume again like some apps but I can't work out how to stop the beep on volume adjust?
Thanks in advance

You can try Volume Control+. When you add the widget choose 'Volume Control+ Silent Switch. One tap on the widget and my volume is silent and locked. You can also set the widget to toggle between normal, vibrate and silent. It's the best I've found and I've been thru most of them. Btw, I use the pro version..so not sure what settings are available in free version.

No alarm sound

Is anyone having any issues with third party clock and alarm apps? I set my alarm and it does not ring at all despite having all sound and notifications settings correct. The default clock and alarm app work fine but I would really like to wake up to a song/music I choose.
Any possible fix/solutions?

I just got an p9000 and have the same problem .. I´ve tried to add the app (tried a few, used to run Gentle Alarm) to the white list, but it makes no difference ...
I even tried to use the Gentle Alarm "night display" to keep the display on, but still no alarm ...
(would´nt be a problem, unless all the stock alarm sounds are so hideous)
Any ideas?
edit: clicked on the "lamp" button in Gentle Alarm, that says "keep display on", and the night display, that worked! Kind of annoying to have the screen on through the night, but I did wake up to my favorite song!

Question Alarm not silencing with volume buttons

I'm using the inbuilt alarm clock.
custom sound, I've set the volume button to stop the alarm option but when the alarm goes off, I have to swipe the screen to stop the alarm
The volume buttons don't have any effect.
Am I missing something really obvious here?
swiping when I've just woken up isn't what I want to do, I grab the phone and can feel the button whilst I'm still half asleep, focusing on the screen without my glasses to swipe isn't possible.
Check Settings > Notifications > Do Not Disturb > Alarms and Other Interruptions
Or
Settings > Notifications > Do Not Disturb > Schedules > the setting for the Schedule > Do Not Disturb Behaviour

Thanks, The alarm is still the same.
It goes off and makes noise, but the volume button doesn't disable it

Go to the Clock app and settings. Scroll down to Alarms > Volume Buttons. There are three settings there: Control Volume (of the alarm I assume), Stop, and Snooze. I have it set to snooze.
That's exactly what I've done, but the buttons don't snooze / stop the alarm

I tested it earlier with timers and it works and then tested with the clock alarm and it does not. So I'm guessing this is a bug?

Thank you! At least it's not just me.
When the alarm goes off just say stop. The google assistant will recognize the word and stop the alarm. LIkewise, if you want it to snooze, say snooze. I know it's not the answer to your question but this works. What could be easier? You don't even have to pick up the phone.
Hi,
I have also configured my previous phones so that the volume button stops the alarm - so I wanted to test this.
I tested 5 times and on 3 occasions, the volume button stopped the alarm. On all 3 occasions the screen was locked and the alarm slider popped up on the screen. I pressed the Vol Up and it stopped.
On the 2 other occaasions, the screen was not locked - I was actively using it and instead of the slider I got a popup window with a stop button. The Volume buttons just changed the volume and did not stop the alarm.
