i have this problem with my imate jamin that its sound works on headphones only. the speakers are working only with the alarm. but when i call someone, or listen to the songs, i hv to use the headphones. pls anyone tl me what should i do???
is your sound mute?
most likely either the headphone jack is the cause or your speaker is dead.

hi all! my xda without warnings, doesn't let me hear any type of sounds....
it doesn't depends by windows settings, because with earpieces i can ear all!!!
i've also re-flash the rsu and nothing!
to understand better....i can't ear any type of sound, not even the bip.bip when i'm calling!!

Your headphone socket is jammed, try a few insertions and deinsertions, pulling out sharply, or try a cocktail stick or similar (dont snap it) and jiggle it in the socket. This is a well known problem.
I just noticed that you said you can hear incoming call??? With or without headphone?

yea people can hear me. I can hear through headphones also but through main speaker or the front speaker, i cant hear any sound. what to do in this case?

I have htc prophet, G4, in edition of swisscom xpa s200.
My problem is that I can't talk, because of microphone and front speaker went dead, I don't know how, I think although that it's not about audio chip because my rear speaker is working, it is ringing when somebody is calling me but when I answer we can't talk, and when I try play something with mediaplayer it's not working, I tried another radio and win rom's, and nothing changed, I can talk with headset and I think that it's impossible that mic. and front speaker went dead together... Please help me !!! Thank You.

mike channon's site is very helpful.
It it easy, no tools needed. Take your 2.5mm headset, plug it in & out, do that for about 2 min(in&out, in&out). Contact in the audio port is stuck so phone "register" that headset or headphone are connected, but they are not. That is the reason you dont hear anything.

I have the 8525 and last night I connected my stereo headset to the phone and instead of the sound coming from the stereo headset, the sound was still coming from the phone's internal speaker.
Everything else on the phone is fine except this. Any ideas or the feature is just dead on my phone?
hi! huhu dude! this is headsets hardware problem. i'm too this problems happened month ago. & i remakable the headsets motherboard, and now my stereo headsets works fine for me.
You just go to any masters for diagnostic.

This is not a WM6 software related problem so I moved the thread to Hermes accessories
I have poweramp installed and when I use the Bose MIE2 headphones for th music they work great but not one of the buttons work when a call comes in,
then, when a call does come in and I pull my SII out of my pocket to answer it, the sound quality is very low and the person on the other end can barely hear me.
does anyone have a solution for this?
