I was wondering if I am able to upgrade my WM 6.1, for a Touch Pro I just bought that is on Bell's Network, to Wm 6.5. I am very new at this internal tweaking of smartphones so any advice would be appreciated!

yea you would be able to upgrade to wm 6.5 if you want to unlock your phone.

Moguls came with WM5?
The Sprint Mogul came with wm6 when it was launched, but Sprint was also the last carrier to get the Titan.
My TELUS P4000 shipped with wm5 nearly six months before the Sprint Mogul release.
To the original poster: Do yourself a favor and get a good, solid wm6.1 ROM. Going from wm5 > wm6.5 is a bit of a heavy leap. Not only is wm6.5 not quite mature, it has higher RAM requirements which [according to MS] should be 128 megs.
I'm sure that requirement will eventually find its face busted in by xda-devs, but for the moment you could save yourself alot of disappointment by choosing wm6.1.
TPlane has made a pretty stable 6.5. Although they ask for more RAM in te requirements, it seems to be running no more than 6.1.
As for WM5 poster, perhaps it may be time to consider upgrading the hardware. If you have the hardware upgrade credits.

The mogul that shipped with wm5 is (i think) the same hardware that came with 6. i've never seen 1st/2nd gen on the device. both of my alltel titans just have PPC6800 on the sticker with the esn.

The Tytn and Titan are two completely different phones. Make sure you are flashing firmware for the right phone!

As was already stated the TITAN and the TYTN are two completely different phones. Using software for the Titan on your TyTN can brick it.

HI All,
I managed to find an RUU upgrade ROM for the nike to windows mobile 6.1 but i am sure there must be something better out there to make the phone a little more pleasing to the eye and probably more functionality added in as a bonus.
does anyone know where i can get the single file ROM upgrade to win mob 6.5.
i have had a look at some kitchens but havent had the chance to look in to what they do, any advice would be appreciated.

What the ..... believe me android is much better than wm i have them both (xperia and hero) android is much faster it doesn't crash you don't have to reset the phone everyday. wm gets slower how longer you use it. wm6.5 is a little bit better then wm61 but still android rocks them both. they(wm users) try to imitate the hero UI.
Could i ask what you don't like about android.

Go to your carrier's website and see if they have it. If they don't (which I believe that to be the case), then you have to go with someone's cooked rom.

There is currently no official stock upgrade to wm 6.5 for the alltel touch pro and i don't believe that there is going to be one now that we are verizon. with the touch pro 2 out they will be concentrating on that instead of the original touch pro.

I have a VZW TP, have been running 6.5 since August. Seems to be more CDMA roms at ppcgeeks (they all seem to start here though!!!)
Forget about what M$ says... you can run WM6.5.x in your TP. There is a sticky on how to flash your device in this section (you can find a link to it in my signature). I would suggest that you go through the first few posts before attempting anything as you seem to have no knowledge on this area. I don't mean to pick on you, but if you are not careful, you will end up bricking your device.
So it's absolutely possible to run 6.5 on a Verizon Touch Pro? I JUST TODAY kind of broke my Diamond, and really wanted to run 6.5 on that. I think I might get a Touch Pro to replace it, since there not too expensive, and I liked the Diamond minus the super slow and goofy WinMo 6.1. Is this even worth it? also looks like the Ozone can do 6.5 as well but that phone looks kind of worse then what I had.
