Installed and am very impressed. Gives the device a RUBBERY feel. I ordered the Full Body shield, and the part that covers the touch screen is great. I was concerned that touch sensitivity would be lost...contrary, it seems to work better!

I put the kit on mine yesterday. It is kind of a pita, but worth it in the end. Plus, allegedly, lifetime replacement.
this thing gets bad reviews. and also my buddy had one on his tp2 and the thing kept coming off, sounds like a good skin but i think ill pass

As long as you order through their website and you send back the damaged cover, they are pretty good about the warranty, however you still have to pay shipping. I hosed mine up installing it because it was for the Topaz and not the Pure which has a little different shape, and they replaced it.
When I installed mine, I powered it down and removed the battery, as you are to have the shield wet on both sides. I only had one piece that I had to remove and reinstall the following day, and that was no problem. I will admid that it was a PITA to install, I'm a tad older than most people playing with this phone and my eyesight ain't what it used to be, so the little pieces were a bit difficult for me, but I got 'er done!
Hi,
I'm considering to buy one of these full body protectors for my Touch Diamond2. I'm really confused because there are many of them and there are many reviews which say very different things. The first thing I noticed is that "wavy" effect. I could live with is if it was only on the back cover but it seems that the effect is on the screen too. The second thing is that it actualy doesn't cover whole device, it left the corners uncovered and I really don't want to have a 1 mm uncovered space on the edges of the screen.
So now I have original HTC screen cover on and I'm very satisfied with it and it seems to me that it is the best screen cover. However, there is no cover for the back so I need to buy one.
I found these full body protectors and I really don't know which to choose:
1. InvisiebleSHIELD of course http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/htc-touch-diamond-2-gsm-cases-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php have seen very different statements
2. GadgetShieldz http://www.gadgetshieldz.com/htc-touch-diamond-2-protective-skins-screen-protectors-covers-cases-shields.html some say better then IS some worse
3. Ghost Armor http://www.ghost-armor.com/htc/htc-touch-diamond-2/prod_279.html?review=read didn't see much reviews for Diamond 2 so if any of you have any experience with it please tell me
So can you please recomend me which one is the best option?
Thanks
i've been using invisible shield for about 2 months now. if you install it right, it's a great product. about a month ago i had some software problems on my at&t pure and it required me to send it back for warranty. that's when i learned that zagg's warranty doesn't just cover damage, it also covers if you have to send you're phone back for repair. they'll send you a new fully body cover as long as you remove the old one and send it back. don't know much about other phone protectors, but why would i need to if zagg is doing a great job? (and no i don't work for zagg, i just like their product)n
I installed the screen protector and will be sending it back. As far as protection, it appears to perform very well. Unfortunately my finger jumps across the screen and will not glide. The orange peel effect is horrible. Anyone thinking about getting this should use it for the full cover and not for the screen protector. I used to use cellet for my screen covers but my local Fry's didn't have one for my Pure so I tried zagg. I've ordered the 3 pack from Att, so we'll see, only $10 and free shipping. Will report back later.
Bozo does not even have instructions in English...wtf

I've had one on for a while now. It does take about an hour to put on. After a few months, it's starting to peel off. I suppose I can send it back in for replacement, but it's an effort.
While its great to have rubber sides for grip. On my screen it should be damn smooooth.
Now to find one I like.
i just tried the ZAGG Invisible Shield on my pure.
The install was simple.
I do not like the protector at all, it has a rubbery texture that makes the stylus stick, skip, and jump. it also has a very bumpy(orange peel) finish to it.
I am sending it back and getting a couple of three packs of the protectors from at&t, they are cheap and slick.

ooohhh...that looks tempting...
i have that in clear and smoke... both are nice... only problem is sometimes junk in my pocket gets stuck under the case... but you can pop it off real quick and clean it...
nice looking!
Dammit. I wish I had one of those before I dropped my phone so many times
Those look nice but...
Do they afford any protection. I have been thinking about one of those Innopocket Metal case, but those cases look a lot nicer. Anybody have any saves with those cases???

Here is a black rubberized verision.
If anyone has tried these, please review.
Thanks.
i bought the one listed above. it's okay, still is a bit bulky.. fitment is descent.. feels a little lose. i might just buy a new oem faceplate instead
you mean the rubberized one? does it fall off? does it provide protection?
the oem faceplate seems like just a replacement for the original housing?
what would be the point? to save the original for resale?

Please give a review I am considering this one too.
WOW...It will be very nice to be a bier for my dead herald.
Black, rubberized version, came same week, 10 bucks shipped, best case I ever seen snaps right on, skin close, thin, looks awsome, as if it was part of the design, NO TMOBILE LOGO!!!, no interfereance with opening the keyboard and a small difference with access to side buttons like camera, etc,. still comfortable, and in my opinion good for preventing accidental pressing...
Just too bad the invisible shield didn't come on time for my relative to bring it here... Then I would feel all around protected with the best there is.
Upgrade to Touch Flow 2.3 (Thanks to Itje!) bricked twice, stuck on Tmobile screen. Reason was expected since Vista is known to brick. The link to Modaco didn't have any possitive effect. Successful upgrade from my XP machine, first try.
The only issue now is that sometimes it is found to be turned off when I don't remember turning it off, usually when I take it out of my pocket.
And when I try to set up Windows Live Mail it just goes to home screen, which sucks since I want Live Mail on it. Any suggestions are appreciated.
I overclocked to 247 and Skype mobile works great. Just took a while to find the 2.2 Low CPU version... http://www.skype.com/download/skype/mobile/21beta.html It says needs 400 mhz, but worked fine without overclock...
Was surprised that Battery Status program was in the WIndows folder and no shortcuts... How are shortcuts made anyway?
In general very happy with the machine!
Any suggestions appreciated...

Avoid the metal cases. Had one for a few months for my Wing, signal strength is knocked down (with associated drop in battery life since the cell radio has to work harder, 25% reduction in battery life for me!), Bluetooth range drops to only about 5 feet before static creeps in, etc.
The protection is good with the metal cases, but you pay a high price in performance for the protection.
Black rubberized case in Tmobile holster?
Those of you who got the Black Rubberized Case, is the case thick enough to protect the protruding Green/Red call buttons from being pressed when they're in the OEM Tmobile holster? Pictures on ebay don't show the sideways view, so I can't tell how thick they are. thanks

Well worth it.

Same one here, 5$ including shipping - on eBay. Works great, using it 4 months (I think) and there are no signs of material going yellow, or chipping and cracking. Protects very good and isn't bulky!
Also, I see you have Eclair. There is green tint on camera

Ooops,.... Got it wrong,... Not SILICONE, they are the soft floppy ones aren't they,....
I meant GEL case,... Like the photos people have posted.
Mine also covers the volume - I do have 6 though so I can mess around with if I prefer it with or without! (All for £5 inc P+P - Bargain!).
Sorry about the poor quality of the pic - my elf’s camera is not so good!
I like that it provides a bit of a ridge around the screen - My daughter has a tendency to play with my phone and ends up throwing/dropping it on the floor, this helps avoid scratching (I also have a screen protector) It also doesn't add too much width around it, provides better grip, and doesn't muffle sound when on the phone.
Much better than the floppy silicon ones - they are useless, gel all the way!
You let your daughter play with your phone,.... I don't even let the missus touch mine!
if she breaks it, i'll get a new one on insurance - but I turst her, although she isn't even 18months! She does like to phone people on it, that is the only downside to these cases, they don't stop that (I should set a lock pattern...)

Aaah, thats cute,... Although I find it hard to believe that other tots have phones. Who does she call?
Back on topic,... 6 for a fiver,... Ebay??... Are they all different colours?
She phones my fianceé's phone, which is usuall sat underneath. (sorry for going off topic)
I would prefer her not to have my phone, but thats what makes the case a necessity of the case, she can get anywhere I leave it, this way, I don't get it broken, and she brings me it if someone phones me
Yup, I have white, blue, red, pink, purple and black. If i were a girl, I could accessorise to what I was wearing!
EDit: Just had a look at I can't find the link for £5 anymore The nearest I see for 6 is £7.29
After swooning over my Amaze's screen for a week, I decided it would be wise to "not be a fool and cover your tool" as they so cleverly reminded us in sex ed. This in mind, I set out to find a screen protector that would keep my screen scratch free while showing off all 4.3 inches of it's beauty.
As it happened, my brother managed to snag me a Zagg InvisibleShield for somewhere in the range of $3 on a staff promotion. Normally InvisibleShields run you a pretty penny so naturally, my expectations were high.

As is rather apparent, the product is well packaged and comes bundled with some nice additions including an oversize cleaning cloth, a rubber squeegee and a bottle of application fluid. Of course, packaging doesn't protect your phone so let's get to it shall we?
The application process is rather different from your run-of-the-mill screen protector. This tedious process involves spraying the solution on your hands as well as the actual protective film. Upon applying the wet film onto your screen, you can slide it into place while it's still wet; which is rather nice if you're OCD about placing it perfectly. Once in place, the squeegee is used to squeeze out the applicator fluid and any air bubbles; this bit makes me a bit nervous as electronics and liquids don't get on rather well. Nonetheless, once applied the underside of the screen guard appears cloudy though this clears up overnight.
So what about the actual performance of the product, you ask. Well, this is were it falls short. I have no doubt about the protective qualities of the InvisibleShield, it seems like it can hold up to some pretty harsh treatment, my issue however is with the actual appearance and feel. Unlike traditional screen protectors, Zagg's offering seems to take on an "orange peel" texture once applied and while it's not blatantly noticeable, it's rather unpleasant when visible. Worse yet, the product is rather prone to smudging and not the easiest to clean. The deal-breaker for me however is the actual feel of the product, it's noticeably more "tacky" than the naked screen and makes dragging your finger around a bit difficult and at times rather annoying; this however is a matter of personal preference so don't take my word as the gospel.
Overall, I'm rather disappointed with the InvisbleShield from Zagg. While at $3, I'll bite my tongue and use it, I certainly wouldn't be happy paying the full $19.99 for it!
As I mentioned, your mileage may vary and while I'm not a fan, you may well be so take my opinion for just that, an opinion.
Thanks for the review pal, I myself use a cheap anti-glare matte screen protector I got from eBay (I'm talking cheap, like, a couple bucks for 3), and was interested to see how it amounted to a supposedly higher-end screen protector
Right off the bat I can see the difference in packaging - mine was sent to me in the form of a letter, with the screen protectors sealed in a clear plastic slip inside the envelopes, both sides with even more clear plastic that is only removed upon application.
I'm most interested in the liquid solution they provide for you to put between the screen and the protector upon application since it seems to be pretty useful (I just wiped my screen down with rubbing alcohol, let it dry, and used my DSLR airblower to get any dust or lint off of the screen, then applied the protector with a card as the squeegee. Pretty ghetto, but it gets the job done
If you want a smoother texture with your screen protector, try a matte anti-glare one, it'll leave a tiny bit of pixel distortion on the screen but I simply can't use any other kind of screen protector after trying the matte ones
I'm not sure the solution does any more than allowing the adhesive to "loosen up" while you apply the screen protector.
As for the matte eBay screen protectors, I'm a huge fan! I bought a bunch for my Blackberry back in the day and they're:
- cheap
- perfect tactile feeling for touchscreens
- great at cutting down glare
Personally, I'd recommend cheapo screen protectors as they do the job without all the frills of something like this.
Realook is where its at. $10.00 for a 2 pack on Amazon
Wow! Nice write up! Although I'm a fan of zagg, everything you mentioned is true.

ive bought and applied 4 zagg's to mine and my gf's amaze, and they've all turned out ****e.
im not a fan of the dry applications because its near impossible to do it immaculately, and the wet application seems to stay hazy.
after 4 attempts i just drove to the mall and bough ghost armor, best $20 ive spent on this phone.
Hey All. Got my Amaze yesterday and its already up and running on the Energy ROM with faux kernal; thanks to those respective devs. With the flashing out of the way for now, time to look into some cases. As everyone is aware, amaze is not the lightest or thinnest phone, so a case with minimal weight would be desireable. I ran into a matte snap on case from ebay, wanted to know if anyone here has any feedback on these. I am not going after the price (I am open to spend whatever for the ideal case), but more so on the "thin" part. Sadly, I can't post the url due to my noob status, but its easily searchable under "Matte BLACK Hard Snap On Thin Back Case Cover For HTC T-Mobile Amaze 4G".
Looking forward to being part of the Amaze community!
I have a two piece black rubberized case on my one amaze, and a one piece hard case on the other one. Both are light, and fit pretty good. the two piece fits tighter, and has cutouts for all the mic holes on the back cover etc. and they all line up. its just a cheap ebay case. And both are thin. Any cheapie case you get on ebay will be light, and the best part is after a couple months just pay $3-5 and get a new one.
The one piece doesen't cover the top and bottom of the phone, just the sides, so it won't protect as well as the two piece, and if I ever have to pop the two piece apart to get at the back cover, it comes apart easy.
I'd get a cheap two piece, try it out. if you need more protection, then upgrade, but i'd start at ebay.
Be careful with some of the cheap ebay snap-on cases. I got one for a previous phone that was front and back pieces that snapped together. It was thin and looked OK but it would pop open when dropped and the phone would come out and land unprotected. It was ok for scratch protection and keeping the screen off the table but provided very little to zero drop protection.
Thanks for the info. Yeah I have to consider the drop protection. When I was searching youtube for cases, the videos were showing cases which was huge. Yes it protects the phone, but it’s very uncomfortable to carry around. Might have to try some on from the local mall kiosk if anything.
I just went with a cheap ebay case from eforcecity and I'm satisfied. I think I paid $6 shipped and it came with a screen protector.
I got one from ebay that is really good, it comes with a holster. Trust me, thiz isnt like the ones that are cheap made and snaps when minimal force aplied to it. This is high quality. Not bulky either.

I too have this case, it works great. I have not noticed any difference in my network connection signal strength which was a concern and has provided good protection for the phone in its couple of drops. I work in a hydraulics shop with hardened concrete floors and it has held up well. As a side note the case also holds up well when exposed to mineral and petroleum based hydraulic fluids.

- with no front camera cutout
- that supports fingerprint unlock
What did you guys buy? What do you recomend?
Using the nilkin ones, but they don't cover the full glass and has a black bezel. I usually don't like those with the bezels as they seem to have something to hide there. Switching over to a full glass with UV glue one in a week's time, fingers crossed.
the nilkin ones have no cutouts and fingerprint works perfectly. similar to the full glass one that i just bought.
both bought on my local ecommerce store, but here's the link anyway for the full glass one, https://shopee.sg/Full-Cover-UV-Tem...reen-Protective-Glass-i.262589788.13832922399

Thanks, I might get some nilkin.
Also please report back to us about the tempered glass with UV glue once you get it.
The nilkin one isn't really tempered glass though, and after some time, it yellows out but not too big of an issue for me, was just surprised when I took it out.
The UV tempered one feels great and I love that it does not have the black bezel. However, not sure if it is just this brand or me but the glue might not have cured well, and the edges are coming off.

However, everything else is working great. In fact the front camera is better when compared to the nilkin one which causes a bit of a flare, wasn't too sure if it was like that from the start since I don't use the cameras often.
So currently I have switched back to the nilkin one, and noticed that the provided kit is slightly off, you'd need to shift it higher a little and it would be great which was what I did.
I guess the quest for SP has come to a pause for now.
But I did go on a bit of a hunt for the SP and their review, and with this being a China phone, the best place to search was on Taobao, and see if I can find something similar on Aliexpress. Finds below.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004346010642.html - one of the top ones, and seems pretty decent but pricier, from SmartDevil
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003187657681.html - 50/50 on this since the description images were similar and all, but that's about it. reviews from a russian didn't seem too good though.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003142091232.html - this looks okay, in terms of review but it might be one of those which only has glue around the edges, and you have a thin gap between the glass and the phone.
Apart from that, some learnings for the UV application ones.
It removes very well, and pretty much like a regular SP, kinda just a bit more DIY where the factory doesn't set the glue for you and the protector sheet (pretty smart, and cost-saving for them IMO)
When applying the glue down, videos show to have one big puddle in the middle or 3 smaller ones along the long axis of the phone. You have to make sure that your phone is leveled and not tilted else it will just flow off.
You have to then accurately set the glass down, and not move it or even press on it as this is what causes the bubbles, I've learnt.
Thereafter, apply the UV for a good 10 minutes without touching the device.
For the bubbles, what I tried was pressing them out to the side, and trying to fill with more of the liquid but doesn't quite work as well. That's it for now.
