Hey, guys! when hspl was helping with sim lock, it was so long ago. now it would not help you with this problem. HSPL doesn't unlock your phone of any operator, it will only help to install any rom you want, with any language. Sim-Unlock you can only make with the help of the web site. i unlock'ed my touch2 with the help of the site. and still waiting for hspl to delete f**ing T-Mobile ROM!

You are right - HSPL gives the right to put any ROM on your phone, it doesnt unlock SIM.

thanks all for the input... just tried the unlock method for touch 1. it doesn't work on the touch 2, i guess the software reads the wrong area on the touch 2. i think we'll have to wait for someone to release a upto date unlock program to read the right address from the eeprom by the help of rapi unlocking.

Dude, i unlocked mine on ebay, there are so many services for unlocking.
yeah, i know but i want to do it myself. i know about the JAU unlocking system, i missed the registration so now it's not free anymore. So the lucky ones who had registered last year had the software to unlock their free for 10 days on unlimited phone.

help, i have just got an ameo and previously had an xda exec, which i unlocked,then a Mda pro(universal) and installed wm6 which works great compared to wm5, i have tried using olipro unlocker on the ameo... an had an error message at stage 1 flash SPL....TRIED IT TWICE AND the phone is completely dead... doesn't charge or switch on .. i have unlocked and upgraded on two models so i do have a clue.....i should be getting a replacement, but really need to run it on wm6 as i believe it works a lot better as with my Mda pro.
could you pls tell me which is the right toolor a link to unlock and upgrading Ameo (uk) to wm6.There are so many threads i cant tell which tools have been tested and works....Can afford to brick the new one

If you have bricked one device don't try it again. There are issues being worked out with the unlocker.
Second, there is a ROM you can use for your Ameo that should install without being unlocked and based on WM6. It's on the forum somewhere. I don't remember where it was posted so you'll have to search.
Let us know how it goes....remember you don't need to unlock if you find the right ROM...the WM6 ROM for an Ameo/Tmobile device.

On my third Ameo running wm6 pro.olipro unlocker v2 should do the job i heard but intsalled the rom which run on t-mobile ameo. Dont know what the difference with the black touch version is ... i cant complain ..well for the moment . Thanks again People!!!!!
The T-Mob ROM works without unlocking but Olipro V2 worked fine on my UK Ameo which allowed me to install Black Touch which, thanks to PK and the team, is far better.
Hi! I'm considering buying a Hermes second hand here in Sweden, but the one I'm interested in is operator locked to a 3G operator. I guess that it is SIM-locked then?
I read here on the Wiki that the Swedish Hermes model (HERM200 HTC TyTN) is supposed to be unlocked, but this one apparently isn't?! I've also seen several other sellers with operator locked Swedish Hermes.
What does this mean - can it be unlocked? Can I do it myself or will it have to be sent somewhere for unlocking?
When reading the Hermes Wiki-page about unlocking it sounds like you either have an unlocked version or not, that the locked ones you have to send in for unlocking and - as I said - that the Swedish Hermes should not be locked.

I have a G4 Cingular 8125. SIM locked to cingular of course... how can I use it with another carrier...
I already even flashed another ROM (XM6r5). Used lokiwiz 0.2b (couldn't find a newer version, but I heard somewhere there's 0.3a... just couldn't find it). But I still get the "network is locked" message at booting up.
Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure you have a G4 phone ? why I ask this is cuz lokiwiz02b doesn't work on a G4 device and SIM/CID unlock it ? only lokiwiz03 MSL works on G4 phone but can only SIM unlock code is generated and still can't CID unlock the phone,infact a G4 device cannot be at all CID unlocked,how did you upgrade to XM6r5 Rom ? plz explain accurately and post the present IPL/SPL ...?

What exactly you want to do,if you just want to get SIM unlock code,then use lokiwiz03a to generate a SIM unlocking code,but if you want to upgrade it to any latest wm6 rom,use the 'SoftSPL' or 'HardSPL' method,its not possible to CID unlock a G4 phone.
Download the 'WST Tool' and run the 'CID Action' button to verify the CID locked/unlocked status of your phone.
BTW, whats the present IPL/SPL...? of the phone. As you say you have flashed wizard_love Rom,whats the status of the phone ?

Hi guys, this is my first thread here in XDA. I think this is a great site the best i have seen for pocket machines.
It was helpful in the past when i had a HTC wizard. Now i have an HTC touch/ELF and soon an HTC UNiversal
My brother has bought an HTC 3400/Gene recently and i already have followed instructions for SPL and HSPL, everything worked like a charm, thanks.
However it is locked to a national portuguese operator. I have been reading the forum/wiki regarding Gene and i haven´t found anything yet to unlock this device. Is it possible to unlock? If anyone has found a solution for this could you please share it here?
I know there are other threads about it, but i decided to write one more so we don´t forget this issue

hi guys i am looking for a way to unlock my htc and cant find a way can any one help out, sorry to say i am a bit fick about all the windows mobile!
my cousin has 2 orange spv m3100 and was thinking about upgrading them to windows mobile 6 or 6.1 depending on rom's available
is this easily done?
and would it be best to unlock the phone so it can go on all networks before the rom update or after it?

Upgrading your device's rom is quite easy after youve done it once, just check the wiki page, upgrading for beginners this should tell you all you need to know about flashing a rom for the first time.

no there wasnt a wm6 released for the spv m3100 the actual newest orange rom is a update on wm5 it is in my uploaded file i think if you want to have a look, i used a cooked rom after hard-spl and super cid everything works fine and i have flashed quite a few roms.

James, going to your original question, I've recently done this myself, and over the past week, i've flashed my phone numerous times, so its very easily done.
Just read the guides, and make sure your 100% confident that you've understood it, I did and i'm 100% happy with the outcome!

Tbh, I should've explained something...
My phone is the HTC Hermes 200, not the SPV M3100, although they are the same phone, mines not branded by any network.
It was shipped to me (Bought secondhand) as WM6.1, so all I did last week was updated the HardSPL and since tried a few roms.
I didn't have to use SuperCID, to unlock mine, as it was unlocked, but I do wish you well buddy, and word of recommendation, try not to use branded software on phones, as they bog them down with too much bloatware, stick with what you like.
If need be, I'll help where I can, but tbh, your in safer hands with everyone in here, as all I did was read the guides, and stuck to what was being advised.
The people here are good, which makes it so much easier to use!

well im thinking of getting it unlocked before i do anything to it anyway, when using roms without a specified carrier does that mean i can use any rom or is it best to stick with the operator specified?
if you super cid you device you can use any rom that has been cooked or from any carrier as it is basically a unlock for that a bit like a sim unlock. most people use the cooked roms by the chefs in the wm6 part of the forum where there are wm6/6.1 and 6/5 roms that have been cooked and have different features so you will probably have to do a bit of flashing and some looking around before you find a rom that is best suited to you.
