[APP] An application to play sounds during a phone conversation - Windows Mobile Apps and Games

This program plays a .wav file during a phone call. It can play the sound on the earphone or the speakerphone.
I developed the program to inject a sound into a phone conversation but the results are disappointing (at least on my Diamond 2) because the sound on the other side is very weak and distorted.
It seems the microphone is very well isolated from the speakerphone or maybe some kind of active cancellation removes the output sound stream from the input sound stream.
Whatever, I release here the program. Maybe, it may work better on other phones or someone knows how efficiently couple the sound from speakerphone to mic.
Usage
Copy the .exe on your phone and run it (it requires .NET Compact Framework V2.x)
Select a .wav file using the Sound... button.
Test the sound using the Test button and regulate the volume using the + and - button.
If you want to start the sound on phone connection check the Wait for Phone option.
If you want the sound on the speakerphone check the option (this does not work if you use a wired or bluetooth headset).
Tap the Start button and place or receive a phone call: on phone line connection the sound should start playing. The sound keeps looping until call end.
Or, do not check the Wait for Phone option.
Place or receive a phone call.
When the phone line connection is established tap the Start button: the sound should start playing and keep playing until you tap Stop.
If you want the sound on the speakerphone you should activate it manually (long press green button on my phone).

Actualy, there has been such an application for Symbian phones that would give the option when the phone was ringing to choose what sound to start playing, with preloaded sounds like "traffic", "office meeting", "football" etc.

Any chance to port this to Android ?

Yes, this I would like to have on Android. The submitted file is for Windows phones only...

Very cool app, but it doesn't display correctly on square screens 320x320.

The App is Good and work Super on Blackstone one Suggestion.. When you bloow you hear one time LOOP so will be really great if the bloowing is real i mean if you bloow longer to hear longer the sound if you bloow shorter the sound to be short too not everytime the Wuvuzela to play the same way no matter how do you bloow
Thanks, this is amazing app, the sound is like hmm... african
It's great! Tested on my Treo Pro, some issues:
The app don't fit to the SQVGA screen, can you release a qvga version?
When I force to close the app I can't open it again without restarting my device.
After close the app there's no more sound system need to restart the device
Truly a great App.
But the microphone blowing doesnt work for me.
It says that my device is not supportet???
which device?
Its a Touch Diamond 2 Fake... T5355. ;-D
Well maybe because it is fake?
Does mic work for other applications?
Yeah in other Apps it works very well.
Have you calibrated the mic at settings? (check the option, blow straight into it and then tap Ok)
I have the problem that when I started Wuvuzela on Touch Diamond2 with Stock ROM, the mic will no longer work in phone mode. This sucks.
A soft reset seems to be the only workaround.
Maybe you need to close the app to talk... not the ideal but anyway its a fun app.
Anyone tried amplifying it?

App Request. Start a Voice Note Record from Gear Fit

I wonder if possible to create an application on gear fit to launch a voice note recorder on the phone.
Reading on Internet it seems possible to cdreate a TASKER task and create a widget on the phone. Then from the Gear Fit you could activate the widget??
I don't understand much how to do this task with TASKER, maybe some help? Thanks
START OF QUOTE TAKEN FROM OTHER WEBSITE
What it does
One-press audio recording with no indication on the screen that recording is going on. I call it my "Just in case I get harassed by cops" button. Audio file is saved with the date/time stamp as the name.
Whether or not recording someone without their knowledge is legal depends entirely on local laws. If you use this to record someone illegally, you do so of your own free will.
The Recipe
1 If %RECTOG = 0
2 Popup Rec ON (optional: time 1 font size 12)
3 Record Audio (see below)
4 Variable Set %RECTOG to 1
5 Goto Action 10
6 End If
7 Variable Sect %RECTOG = 0
8 Popup Rec OFF (optional: time 1 font size 12)
9 Record Audio Stop
10 Stop
Note about Step 3: long-press the File field to pull up a directory tree. Navigate to where you wanna save the files and then long-press folder icon to select it. Then tap the File field to get a cursor, and add "/%DATE - %TIME" to the end of it so it ends up looking something like media/audio/%DATE - %TIME

Hii all, its my first post. I try to set up audio quality for Xperia SP. Here I use Viper4Android, I have an audio setup using sony mh650c headset.

No sound during calls

Hi there,
I've got a problem since the last update (20160608): I cannot hear anything in calls no matter if I am called or if I call someone. When I use the headset or switch to loudspeaker everything works fine. The problem exists with several SIM cards. I tried rebooting, clearing cash of Google Playstore, Google Framework and Play Services. And I changed the volume to maximum of course.
Any idea how to fix that?
Thanks a lot for the support!
Well since it worked before the update it most likely is not a hardware defect. I guess the usual suggestion/solution would be a factory reset, or to re-flash the ROM, but before you do something like that you could give the following a try:
- go into EngineerMode by dialing *#*#3646633#*#*
- go to the tab "Hardware Testing", then Audio>Volume>Voice and select "Receiver" in the second field
- compare/change the values to these:
{

"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
If your values do not differ from the ones shown, try to slightly change one of them and press "Set". Maybe this triggers a reset of the Receiver. Also turn the phone off and on again afterwards.
If this doesn't work, and if you don't find another solution, you should probably do a factory reset. Good luck!

Thanks for your help
Hello and thank you for your help.
However my values are the same as in the picture. Changing them and pressing set did not change a thing. This morning the fingerprint also broke. It does not recognize any finger and I am unable to set a new one. The sensor simply does not do anything. Turning on and off, rebooting did not help. I will try flashing Eragon and if it does not help I will try the tomrepair service. Any experiences with them?
Thank you
I have that same problems fingerprint scanner and phone calls. No one can hear me. I have to put it on speaker for a few seconds then turn it off. Even then. People still say they can't hear me. But this is on telephone c1 max.
I have the exact same problem with the ear-speaker.
Music one on the bottom works fine, so does bluetooth headset.
No sound during calls, others can hear me though.
I tried reseting the phone also.
I'm on the new Android 7.1 firmware. (http://bbs.elephone.hk/thread-13393-1-1.html#.WUmUEGT1-SF)
I can't try the audio testing trick since a small part of my screen is not working either and of course it's exactly the the first item of the screen i can't select. I mostly managed by rotating the phone but test-tool does not allow rotation :S
I ended up getting mad and went out and got myself a new mobile (Not Elephone).
I loved the phone, but build quality is seriously lacking. Then again, it's priced accordingly.
I'm willing to test stuff if anyone has new ideas.
Same problem here, I have touchscreen problems (top of screen), audio call's problems and since last update of september, network settings problems (I must reboot my phone to take change of network state otherwise it restore his value after 2-3 min) and sim tray slot 1 doesnt work (must use slot 2)
I love the phone but the quality is not so good as other marks.
I also encountered the issue with the low sound in the voice call i tried to set the values that the picture showed and there is a small difference. Also any suggest to go higher with the values posted in the picture and what is the formula for increased in voice calls volume?

Can't play any sound or record any audio 'cause it says it's already in use by app

Hello my dear friends. My Poco F1 fell to the ground and since then, it never was the same.
When I try to record an audio, the phone says that another app is already using it. So it doesn't record anything. No audio is played on my phone anymore, when I go to the ringtones and click on the rings to hear them, it says ERROR in the screen as a toast message.
I've thought it was a Faulty USB board, then I bought another one (well the microphone is located in there). But no success, changed the board and nothing happened. I've put back the original USB board and booted the phone, tried to plug and unplug headphone and it suddenly started playing sound again on speaker. And then I could record audio on the recorder app again, but not straight, I had to click on record (no spectrum change), pause and resume recording and then the microphone would start working.
Just checked the MB cable that links MotherBoard to the USB board on the bottom and it looks flawless, just tested continuity on every pin with multimeter and all traces are OK, so it's not the issue. Also I just went to the headphones and audio effects under additional configs and it crashes, I'm guessing this is an issue with the Headphone Jack port.
I find this really issue odd and don't know how to fix it, i'm out of ideas. Please does anyone have any other ideas of what could be causing this problem?
Thanks!

This happened once to me because "ok google" hotword detection was hogging the mic so maybe double check that it isn't some software bug, go into permissions and turn microphone off for everything etc.

No, not at all, I turned all permissions off, except for the recorder and nothing happened. No one else?
