Does anyone know if there are any multiplayer WVGA games that can be played across phones? A few of my friends and I have Touch Pro 2's, and I know there are some multiplayer turn-based games that can be played locally on one phone, but what about Phone v. Phone???

I am working on a game just like this...tho it will be some time before i have a working beta
Asphalt4? Snails? Call of Duty? You can play vs another phone with these games (bluetooth or wifi).
Battleship, checkers, connect 4 and a couple others I play using BTpan on my tp2. There vga but still work on the larger screen.
Heres an older site with info:

What would you guys say are the best games available for the Nook?
I too am looking for a consolidated list of the best games.
Specifically, let's try and make this thread a list of the games that are stable on the NC, and also the specific versions of said games.
Let's post the method to legally acquire these games and what is needed to get the best version running on the NC, and/or the tricks necessary to have the best experience.
Of course Angry Birds and Angry Birds Seasons.
Also emulators + games (Snes,Genesis,etc)
All work great no tweaking..
Pocket Legends owns me right now
They say its WoW in your pocket, works great on NC
You can download for free on the pocketlegends.com android forum
sent from my NookColor
I've been playing Mini Squadrons and Grave Defense.
Bowquest
Doodle Jump
Gun Bros Beta
Hungry Shark
Meteor Blitz
Reckless Racing
Squibble
Zenonia
Zombie Defense
...all working great for me.
One thing to note: I have squareparts added.
My list(I only add games that work great):
4 Player reactor
Angry Birds
Astro
Basketball Shot
Bonsai Blast
Bow Man
Buka HD
Can Knockdown
Crazy God
Crush the Castle
Dungeon Hunter
eagle Nest
Fast and Furious: Adrenalin 3D
FireFox
GuitarHero 5
Gun Bros
Heavy Gunner
Homerun Battle 3D
Krazy Kart Racing
MiniGore (THE FUNEST GAME OF ALLL TIME)
NinJump
My Paper Plane
Penguin Golf
PSX4Droid
Rope Cut
Speed Forge 3D
Tank Hero
Totem HD
Transformers G1
PLants VS Zombies
These all look great. It seems like games that need to be rendered in real time(aka 3D games) will perform the best. The second will be games that use vectors, such as angry birds.
games
Pocket legends
angry birds season
zeonia
crazy snowboarder
For the Gameloft games, which method are people using to download?
On their website, you have to select a phone model and then enter a phone number.
Is there a best device model to choose? I was thinking of selecting the Galaxy Tab, and then sending the download link to my Droid. Then I was thinking, would it be better to select the Droid itself?
I was thinking it would be best to select a device that has the same or similar resolution as the NC, but... the Galaxy Tab has a better GPU, a PowerVR SGX540, compared to the NC's GPU (same as the Moto Droid and other TI OMAP devices: PowerVR SGX530)... so, not really sure. Trial and error usually doesn't lead to too many problems, but I've never bought any Gameloft games, no idea how it works in terms of getting different app versions, specifically for activiation or anything (if there is any activation).
edit:
And for games that don't show up in the market, what's a good legal method of getting these games? Just download on another Android device and load that apk onto the NC?
On my NC, I have the latest Market version found in another thread, but there are still a ton of apps that are not showing up when I perform a search. It's not an issue of only paid apps not showing up, even Firefox is absent on my NC's market.
Same as other people, but poolbreak pro is also good.
Robo Defense works, but requires Square Parts.
Disco, where'd you find Plants vs Zombies?

It's actually SPARE parts.
Here's instructions on what to do with it:

Ok, yea I'm using that. I thought it was something else because another person said about square parts earlier.
I haven't played Pocket Legends yet but I plan on changing that in the next few minutes!
All of the rest have worked fine for me. I spend most of my time playing with Nesdroid, Dungeon Hunter, and Angry Birds.
Also, Game Dev Story works great.

Would also love to know the answer to this question. I have both hero of sparta and dungeon hunter for my og droid but when i try and load them it says something to the effect of incompatible device.
If u could get spiderman total mayhem fro gameloft to DL the extra data I would say that is hands down the best playing/looking mobile game ever. I love it on my droid

So I just checked out Pocket Legends while I was on my lunch break. Thankfully I pretty much get to make my own schedule because my usual one hour break turned into about a two and half hour one. Thank you, thank you, thank you bigted41 for the suggestion!
Also, if you're in the market for a good, old school 8-bit RPG - Gurk runs pretty well.
Words with friends doesn't seem to support the resolution properly, you can't pull the rightmost tile so you have to trick it to get that tile
Ya it sucks H.A.W.X doesnt display properly and its my favorite game.

Dungeon Defenders is a great game on the phone.
Captivate 2.2.1 OCed
Atrix Root
Nexus 1 2.3.3
Jet car stunts
reckless racing
don't work
Thankfully, SpeedX does work, the only game I actually play. Mini squadron isn't bad either.
I got this game from the market called Samurai II: Vengeance. I believe it's the only game on market right now that only supports the tegra 2 chip other than dungeon defenders if i am not mistaken. it runs so smooth and graphics are just stunning. it's a must have on our phones!
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.madfingergames.SamuraiII&feature=search_result
I tried a few of the "top" games and found that "Unblock Me" doesn't work well (resolution issues) but is playable. I also cannot get the "Live" Poker or Blackjack to function (force closes while trying to join a game--software issues?).
Angry Birds, Slice It, Alchemy, and X Construction all seemed to work properly though.
Jet car stunts works just fine for me.
Air Traffic Lite doesn't work right now. I emailed them about it.

That's an EA game right?
I think that EA has to just set a variable in their server to allow the Atrix to download all their games. I have heard the same about Need for Speed Shift. It would seem that it will just be a quick fix on their end.
If you have another phone could you use titanium backup to transfer the files and data over? Or just manually copy them from the SD of another phone?
When mine comes I am going to try to find a way to copy all of my gameloft games over with titanium backup. Their policy says "one phone one game", mine says "I already paid once, don't push your luck".

I'm addicted to home run battle 3d HD. It looks awesome on this phone. Just make sure you get the paid HD version and not the standard free one.

Samurai II: Vengeance is Awesome Paid App
Just downloaded Monster Madness works great haven't had to muck playing time to say whether it was worth the ten dollars. But both games look awesome.

Weird, the lite version worked for me.
Samurai II and Dungeon Defenders are the two must gets. Just tried Dungeon Hunter (Diablo like game from gameloft) and it works fine but graphics don't compare those games. Modern Warfare sandstorm works but has some graphical issues which don't affect gameplay.
Sims 3 & Worms
I previously purchased "Sims 3" & "Worms" for my Captivate. Both games installed on my Atrix but when I go to download the data they need it gives me an unsupported device error.. Anyone else getting this error? I am on WiFi..

Im finally starting to see some decent real time multiplayer games such as Guerrilla Bob and Last Stand, but they are both only playable on the same wifi network...
Is this an Android limitation, cell phone limitation, etc....
Is there any reason these games arent playable over 3G/4G?
thanx
Danny
and let me know if there are some good multiplayer shooter games that are playable over 3G

Star Legends. There's another great multiplayer game (although it's not a shooter game i'll still say it) which is Pocket Legends. Both of these are playable over 3g/4g/wifi. For you question - no, its not an android/cellular limitation (or else the 2 games i stated wouldn't be playable over 3g/4g either). Games which are generally not playable over 3g/4g were just not made to be able to. The developer maybe wants you to save your money (so you don't have a huge bill each month), or they just didn't want to allow it for some reason.
Monkey Poop Fling is multiplayer and can be played over WiFi or 3g.
As many of you found when you first initiated your tablet, there were 2 "HD" games pre-loaded onto our Jetstream's.
·Let's Golf 2 HD
·NFS: Shift HD
Now, as we all know, gaming support for our expensive tablet has been well, very slow.
But what I want to talk to guys about today is if the games available to us through the Play Store are, or are not High-Definition games? Because the "HD" part on most icons is missing?
Are "HD" games nVidia Tegra only? Is that the issue?
Should I not worry about it?
Secondly, and evermore disconcerting is that I've been looking through the Reviews sections of most popular games, and I haven't yet found a single review, from any of us...
Does that mean that us Jetstream users aren't buying games?
Please reply.
I have the wheres waldo game.
looks hot.
lol
Hi to all. I know that the XZU is one of the best phablet to play games + other things but games is what got me to buy this awesome phone. I had the note II before my ultra there are some games that don't work on my ultra. one of my favorite game is Let's golf 3, and monopoly both of this games wont work or not correctly work on my ultra Let's golf 3 will install but too many windows so not playable. but there are other games that will work on my ultra that won't work on my note 2 like peggle and spb quads like others. so the ? is did you guy have most of those games working for you golf 3, monopoly classic and other good old games......
It looks like no body cares about what games work on the ultra or solutions to good and classic games that do not work on the ultra. because there are good games like [ let's golf 3 and monopoly ] that don't work on the ultra so.....
The lack of replies is not because we don't care, but maybe because we don't play those games. And if a game doesn't work, then it's the game developer's responsibility and not our.
So go ahead and contact EA or who ever is making those games.

ditto...
I didnt comment as I don't play those games. You could download the apk, and then unpack it and change the device info to alow your device to install it... then sideload the APK... That will get it working, but because of the DPI it may be a little scued. your call on that.
Thanks for your reply. But I was also refering to any other games aswell. I don't know if you guys play games or not but this device with this big screen is the best.that's why I made this this thread for people to talk about games. I did read about monopoly and lethe's golf 3 forums on their website but there's no solutions to this problem for now I was hoping that there was a tweack to make it work. But I'll wait thanks
The only games I've played on the ZU are Riptide GP2, Earn To Die and Simple Rockets and they all work as they should, so I haven't downloaded any games that doesn't work.
Sent from my C6833 using Tapatalk
I've had issues with a couple of apps not being compatible with the XZU and have contacted the developer's in each case. In one case they admitted it's because they've mislabelled their compatibility criteria and it treated the XZU as a tablet, the other said they were aware of the issue and we're working on an update.
The others are right, it's an issue for developers if an app or game doesn't work, we can't change the code...

Okey dokey....
Yes, I do play a lot on my XZU...
- Nova 1, 2, 3
- MC 1, 2, 3, 4
- Tiny Thief
- The Room
- Avadon Black Fortress
- Broken Sword 2
- Call of Duty Strike Team
- Dead Space
- Granny Smith
- NFS Most Wanted
- World of Goo
And others...hopefully will help this...
I too attempted to play Let's golf 3 and its tiled and broken. This is as of Dec 14th. I love the game but now that I have a powerful phone, it might be time to move on from GOLF games anyway. Golf was the perfect game for my old phone, Note 1. Sad that it doesn't work on the XZU
