Well I was not going to start a thread but I did a bunch of stuff and thought it was needed. First its based off of alpha8 modacos roms, now I did a few edits and added a few apps and graphics how I like. This rom is using apps2sd and swap but if you don't like swap run without. Once I get a dump I will really be able to pump goods out so give me time.
Thanks to all the devs working on nexus and that have been active since day one. Plz dont make me put full names its to many and you know who you are you need help in money or modding just ask. Main credit goes to Modaco for porting the rom.
NOTE: To install ext3 is needed and a swap of either 34 or 64 is needed. I use 34 my self, now put the .zip on root of s.d and wipe all, then you can flash away. I would also use Amons new 1.6.0 recovery, just makes wiping and creating ext's easier.

Gonna try this out. thanks.
Your add-ons makes this ROM more desirable (pardon the pun )
Good work! Will test it out once i get home...
Happy to see you cooking up a storm! Loved your G1 stuff!
Sorry for the stupid question, but gonna ask since it is better to ask then not at all...
If I don't add the swap partition, will it still boot? I am assuming it will, just won't have swap running.
Edit: Yes, boots just fine without a swap partition. Make sure you have an ext3 for the a2sd, for those that didn't read the first post.
Does this ROM have the US Market Vendor.apk, cuz it normally has the UK one I think. You can't get some apps with this ROM's Market. And if not could someone implement it?
Trying this out now.......will report, love your work!
wipe flash and reboot, stuck on boot screen, battery pull reboot, still nada...have swap and ext4 partition......?

You have to have an ext partition...swap is ur choice
try ext3 and you should work and I would use swap is needed.
excuse the noobness, but how do i get ext3 and swap to get this to work?
ok i have swap and ext 2. how do i enable apps2d?
It is pretty good love that google voice works.
But one question. Why do you have 2 clocks and then a desk clock app? That seems like 1 too many clock apps
love it so far once i figure out how to apps2sd it can honestly be a all day rom
Flashed and running great with the OC'd UV'd Kernel and EXT3.
Currently Rocking 132 megs free on internal with all my apps installed. With the shell script that moves it to system I still had only like 83 megs free. Nice Work Manup456!
whats you internal say?
is apps2sd automatic?
As with every desire ROM Ive tried so far Voice Search & Dial are NOT working. Is it supposed to be or did I misunderstand?
GodDriven said:
Can You Let me know if this should be ran with ext and appssd on.. I don't really use these features.. Never even enabled them.. Give a gooooood hint... Lol?

You have to have an ext3, otherwise you get a boot loop.(maybe ext2 works as well, didn't test since the 1st post says it works with est3, didn't mention any others). You do not have to have a swap partition, though.
And for what its worth... ext2/3/4 is where the a2sd is stored, linux-swap is where the swap is stored... best way to do it, load up Amon 1.6 recovery, then select the partition SD card option. Keep in mind it will erase everything on your SD card, so backup what you want before hand.
google voice is not working for me.
works for me com.google.android.apps.googlevoice.apk is good to go dont login with the preset name and and stuff. Need to sign in again.
I just checked google earth is not working.
What i meant about google voice not working is. When i dial my carrier number shows instead of my google voice.
The app opens and runs fine. But during call no gvoice number is displayed.

Installation:
First of all you, you need to format your sdcard for App2SD. You can refer to the partition tutorial found here. The only difference is that you have to format the App2SD partition in ext3 filesystem. If you don't, the rom is not going to work properly (if it boots).
You also need to have xrecovery installed.
For the ones that have 2.0.A.0.504 firmware:
First install this.
For the ones that already have 2.0.2.A.0.24 firmware:
1)Put the Iridium.zip in /sdcard
2)Boot into recovery
3)Make a full wipe (factory reset)
4)Choose “install custom zip”, browse in your sdcard and install “Iridium.zip”.
5)After flashing finish, reboot.
First boot will take almost 5 minutes (setting App2SD). Once boot, leave it alone for another 5 minutes! (just to set up things properly!)

How to change stock home launche with google one..please cn u post only google launcher apk here..
Sent from my E10i
First of all, let me say:"Great work DaRk_dOg!"
Even if this is one of my first posts, i have been lurking around forums for quite some time, and i must say that you keep surprising me more and more.
Now, even if its a great ROM, im not fan of purple color.. But im liking the work your done on removing apps..
I want to clean up my x10 mini, and i found partly what apps i can remove and i know how to remove them, trough rooting and root explorer, but your list is quite long, so, im asking you, can you post the list of files that we can remove (like timescape app, it has 3-4 files, but most of ppl removed just one, resulting in error on booting up phone) and keep phone safe?
Also, i wanna use replacing for default sms app, can i remove stocked sms app and replace it with some from market? Im using Chomp SMS, but stocked SMS apps stays active in ATK, so, i have 2 SMS apps running.
I readed that ppl are getting errors and arent receiving any notification when they got SMS/MMS. So is it safe to remove it?
Please support e10a!!! Thanks for this work.

FroyoFusion - Apps2sd - Re-Released so re-download!
FroyoFusion - No Apps2sd
------------------------------------------------------------
Installation Instructions:
Flash First! ONLY IF YOU'RE ON 2.1 ECLAIR
Located here: Froyo Android 2.2.2 Indonesian Updata
then you flash this!
New Recovery: CWM 2.5.1.8 by goodoane
--------------
1. Copy FroyoFusion.zip to INTERNAL sd card
2. Wipe/Data Factory Reset
3. flash with Clockworkmod
ROM REBOOTS AFTER FIRST BOOT
Apps2sd Instructions
- Ext Partition MUST be on the internal SD card formatted as ext2 as a primary partition after your fat32 partition. Use easeus partition manager.
- Note: It's reported that reflashing this rom over it's self after installing apps frees up more space, so if your data partition is getting filled, reflash this without wiping and you should have a lot more space free, some apps may force close, just re-install them
- Some apps & games like Angry Birds or Pocket Legends install to the sd card right from the market,
this bypasses the roms a2sd and uses froyo's which we all know eventually fills up space.
So what you have to do is:
Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>SD card
Move all listed back to tablet. Reboot.
------------------------------------------------------------
Not Working/Bugs:
Skype outgoing call turns off speaker, still works with headphones though.
Soon to come:
not sure...
------------------------------------------------------------

I then installed again without wipe and all is OK now!
Thanks for another good work!

Trizet ROM can do multitouch, it can zoom with two finger, meanwhile yours can't, can you fix that? When i use trizet ROM with data2ext capable, it's always got me stuck in some program and program close because may be because some corrupt data, when i use your a2sd it runs smooth, but can't do multitouch. You could test for me. I'm sure the phone wont work tho. Just make a backup before you flash

Not yet. but I hope we can soon.

I just added images and other new information to the first page.
Here is one I just added
The next update coming is going to integrate new market into rom
You know what would be missing in there aswell?
the T-Mobile Theming Engine >_<

IT ROM.v1.1**NEW**
IT ROM v1
Installation:
- Download, then extract IT ROM.
- Place ROM into /sdcard/clockwork/backup
- Boot into Recovery
- Wipe Cache / Dalvik Cache
- Restore

Version 1.2- (ETA: Undetermined)
- Add Mobile Bravia Engine
- Add script for SetInstallLocation 2 (not sure if this will work as a pre-installed feature as it requires a line command prompt, then a reboot)

Some themes from my Theme Thread:
(Original Theme Thread)
"Purple Haze"
"Blood Lust" w/Toggles
"Pink Passion" w/Notification Toggles
"White Elegance w/Toggles"
"Blue Void" w/Toggles

Special Thanks:
- Hogwarts, for taking the time to teach and mentor me on building a ROM. His COLA ROM can be found HERE
Nice man! My only suggestion would be to offer a CWR ZIP to change the font to something more readable.

Update.
Ok, Got the "Activity Market (in app market)not responding.
Force close or wait" a few times when first
starting it, but then seemed to striaghten up after I just waited a couple mins.
Other than that, so far all is working. Talk,Wifi,Bluetooth,GPS,, All Good.
Nice Job my man.
OK awesome. I think it has to sync all your Google info first. Other than that how you like it?

Well with a locked boot loader any "custom" ROM are all going to be about the same. Since we cant overclock, or upgrade past 2.3.3 yet. They are all just tweaked a little differently, like my ROM in comparison to COLA, has only a few minor differences... IT-ROM has the camera mod built in, has toggles built in to the theme, carrier name removed, and a few other cosmetic changes.... the next update will have tweaks built into the build.prop, adds a green dialer theme, and replaces font with stock font. This is my first attempt at playing with roms. It was more of a learning tool for me to get the basics down for removing system app, replacing system app, and what not.

Tip: if you want to create an update.zip, pull the /system folder and make symlinks in the update script.

Well you think that but it wont work
Cola has to have /data/ to work
I'm the one who design it so trust me I know.
Once you loose data the rom is broken.

Hey thats awesome info! I was wanting to do something like that but wasnt sure how to make a update.zip, and really didnt want peope to have to reflash the entire ROM again, i know how frustrating it is to have to re-do all your desktops, and widgets, and re-enter al your accounts and sync info.
Would you mind PM'ing me, or post it here, on how to make the symlinks, i am 100% unfamiliar with doing that. (im still learning all of this) Even if it doesnt work with the COLA based ROM, i'd stil like to learn this for future projects, and well, just cause its something I dont know how to do, and I ike to learn.

I know a little bit too, don't worry. You need to keep the Setup Wizard APK which, if absent, breaks the Home button in case of a data wipe. Plus, even if you put a /data folder, it can be empty.
XIT, I think the best that you can do for the symlinks is to grab another ROM (from the Play if possible), unzip it and check its symlinks. I'm not too sure of what symlinks your ROM needs. You can see the symlinks in the update script file in the Meta-Inf folder.

wont work.
locked bootloader cant flash a whole filesystem and datasystem
thats why UK rom has to be flashed as nandroid
1-2 files with the wifimodules work because your just pushing something
but when you try to
format /system
push /system
format /data
push /data
it basicly is going to wipe out CWM recovery in the process because if ur aware the CWM resides in system folder
so yes it wont work for locked bootloader
also I wouldn't keep setup wizard because it is a costly file to keep when it's never needed
the cost is about 1.2 mb not including data if i remember correctly.
so its gone.
when you use nandroid backup you dont need it anyway
I think you're right, I forgot about where the cwm was.

ya i know because i've tried it myself
i created update .zip and the CWM would always return error
i could never get it to work as many times as i tried
I like it, very nice. Plenty of space, apps and drawer loads faster. I implamented the "adb shell, pm setInstallLocation 2, exit". That way I can choose pretty much any app to be moved to sd or installed to sd. Stable rom so far today, no issues.

Aroma
Hello, when selecting Jelly Blue for items to keep via Aroma install, I do not appear to have any additional theme elements other than stock. i checked HTC skins and did not see anything there as well. Thanks and your efforts are appreciated.

is isn't a theme. htc had some green leftovers (like call button) with jellyblue you have no green at all
(check battery, it should be blue instead of green)
Then all is well, thanks

Good ROM. Everything is working except the hotspot. I can change the telephony.db but it would be good if it's baked inside the ROM. Thanks for APM and lower brightness tweaks.
i am getting error after downloading this to my at&t one x+...i get all different kind of error about unfortunately location has stopped and etc....and i don't see anything on my homepage there are no icons or anything just a black screen...anybody know how to fix it..
thanks
Just a few issues/suggesstion
1) Even though flashlight, soundrecorder, polaris office are all in system/app they are not getting installed.
2) All Google apps on first launch prompt for permission access.
Thanks
My installation went through fine. I also got the location stopped message....application stops every time I try to load it . Google apps ask for permission but load all fine after that.
So far so good.

ok now i see after some googling whats the issue there didn't cook for AT&T before so didn't know about the hacks needed for it. i'll search more and include a fix for hotspot,
rom updated, fixed hotspot, fixed location fc, and other cool stuff ( full changelog available on my website), enjoy
First version worked flawlessly on my HOX+, and was coming from another ROM!! I got great benchmark results, even when over 100 apps installed, got over 7300 scores. No issues to report. Coming back for more!!!
Good Job, baad!!
Awesome! So happy to see more ROM options for the AT&T One X+ emerging regularly now. I'll definitely have to test this out. Thank you for your work on this!

Was this part of the last update as well because I don't see any references to either in the changelog unless it's part of "cleaned a bit more the rom"? Just curious. Thanks again.
