Hi there,
I used to play a bit (as user, not as a cook) with Prophet couple of years ago and found it a good playtoy. Than I had to use a phone without camera for
work purposes which is now "kaputt" and until I get it repaired I have to use my old Prophet. Wanted to install a new ROM.
What would you recommend as the most stable and fastest WM 6.5 cooked ROM ?
I know that there are many special necessities for certain people, but I just need an english language version with functioning WiFi and GPRS and any form of finger friendly keyboard like PCM.
Thanks for any and all replies/advices/suggestions.

Hello,
I use this ROM, seems to work fine so far: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=628799
Hello there,
i am using this rom by babak00000 at the moment. Every function like wi-fi, bluetooth, edge works flawlessly and phone is responding well unlike other roms. My humble suggestion is to try and see yourself each of the roms.
Greets.

Hi,
I tried some of the new fantastic Roms, but I always have Problems to use
VOIP with WLAN.
I think, in most cases there are no drivers, dlls for this Function integrated.
When i search here in the Forum, i find no answer to my question:
Can someone tell me, which ROMs supports VOIP, so i can use the internal
functions (incl. Setup-VOIP / SIP-Konfiguration) of WM 6.0 or external
Software.
Thanks, Cassadega
The Crystal 5.1 ROM has VOIP configuration.
does it actually work very well on the Prophet?
Of course I forgot to backup my original Norwegian rom before I flashed a custom rom to my phone. Is there anywhere I can dowload one? Or if anyone can extract their rom?
hehe! i'm in the same boat as you
just installed the latest ROMeOS² and thought ohh ****, no more norwegian UI xD
on the other hand i don't regrett at all, since my batery has been going from 1 to 2 days idle to 2-5 days idle happy!
Actually I only need it to rip Norwegian T9 database

Cheers
Here is the files for enabling T9 for 14 languages including Norwegian.
To get Norwegian hardware keyboard, edit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD:CurLang to value 1044
Happy to get rid of the the Norwegian translations like "Bank på skjermen" and such...

Sweet guys! Nice to know there are more norwegians in here!
Anyone cooked a newer ROM with norwegian input possibilities yet? Anyone have a guide on how to add NO input to custom ROMs?
My TP sometimes does not show incoming calls, and other times I get a mix of WM6 and TouchFlo 3D style phone GUI... Anyone with the same problem? I can't get rid of messenger contacts in my phone book... Is this NO-ROM related, cuz none of the tweaks I found to fix these issues worked...
may i ask what custom ROM u'r using?
i'm currently using the one i posted at the start, i have no issues whatsoever. (i hate to use T9 (no norwegian on me phone atm))
only thing i have a problem with is that the GPS is a bit sloppy around 100 meters behind on the maps with any gps proggy.
I used Panosha Pro 1.0 on mine until I accidently drove over it with a 1,6tonn lift. Then it got over 1 mm thinner and 3mm wider and did not work very well after that. Still waiting for my insurance to get me a new phone.
I'm looking for the best/latest/greatest rom with Windows Mobile 6.5 and working video call plus voice speed dialer. I've been running Louzeberry with WM6.1 for a long time and I have tried Energy Roms, but I need Voice Speed Dialer (my BT Handsfree need a voice dialer on the phone, and I'm not speaking English good enough for MSVC) and Video Call. So I have gone back to latest HTC released rom for the Raphael just to check and both things are working, but I am really used to all the goodies that custom roms include. Any option for me? Any stable WM 6.5 with video call and voice speed dialer??
Regards,
There is no best ROM it's all personal preference, read the chef notes regards whats in the ROM & flash & flash some more till you find the rom you wish to use for everyday.
Thread closed the same as all on this subject.
Noob here - bear with me please.
I've tried searching this forum without success (probably because my questions is too general) and I don't have the patience to scan all 200+ pages.
Recently upgraded from HTC Tilt2 (WM6.5) to a Samsung Focus, customized to Phone7.8. Loved the Hardware, software not so much.
Found there were certain must-have features of WM6.5 that I just couldn't duplicate in WP7+.
So, here I am - I have a "new" HTC HD2 - which seems to have universal glowing reviews. Have spent the last few days installing various needed WM6.5 apps.
I've read a lot here about the ability to dual-boot with WM6.5 and Android. What I don't fully understand is what is it about Android that everyone wants? I know there are thousands (maybe even millions) of Android apps out there. How do you choose?
I would appreciate a few replies what Android apps are "killers" and drove the decision to set up the HD2 for dual-boots.
Windows Mobile 6.5 died long time ago. If you still have HD2 install Android and you will discover new World!
Well ...

My Friend ... Dual - Booting Means Having Two OSs At The Same Time ... Like WPH7.8 + Android Or WM + Android ( As I Have Tried , The WPH + Android Through Magldr Is The Best Because In Magldr You Can Directly Choose Which OS To Boot But In WM + Android You Have To Boot In WM Then You Can Boot Android Through WM Or Keep Using The WM ) ... If Were Intrested In WPH + Android Then Let Me Sow You Some thing Useful ... Here ... If Got Any Question Or Problem ... I Would Be Glad To Help ...
With Best Wishes

You could have a Android rom on sd card & keep wm6.5 on device & have a play with android & its apps, won't be hard to choose what apps you want in Android as most of them are complete junk.
More info on SD Android can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/hd2-android/sd-dev
Hi everyone!
I really like how CyanogenMod works because it makes the phone faster than the stock one and also is lighter but the problem is the many bugs it has...
I've tried CM 10.1 but it was impossible to create an APN (so internet navigation in 3G was disabled), then I tried CM 11 (and I'm currently using it) but I can't see videos, send or receive files via bluetooth and sometimes I'm unable to view notification in hangouts (so I installed another application for SMS).
What I'm asking is: is there some Cyanogen ROM for my cellphone that works properly without important bugs? I mean, it doesn't matter if wifi tethering or direct doesn't works, I don't care even if the bluetooth don't works, they are not so important...but I'm searching for a ROM in which APN's and videos works at least...
Is there some CM release like that?
Just to be clear this post is only to ask for help and is not intended to be offensive...I really admire the developers and their hard work because I can imagine how difficult can be developing a ROM!
Thank you very much for your help and your work!
