I did a search couldn't find anything on this if there is something please feel free to point me in the right direction and call me an idoit. Because we have the leaked 2.1 shouldn't we be able to access the elcair lock screen? If so how do we change it? Also I went to the Verizon store the other day they made me wait on a waiting list played with their Droid Eris and I it had the eclair lock screen and a bunch of 2.1 features I was stupid and didn't check the about phone because I didn't realize till I got home but maybe since the Droid is getting their update starting tomorrow (google news search it) we are right around the corner or on the same page with them. I dont like lockbot if that is what your going to suggest lol. Thanks guys!

Not yet, and because the app isn't transparent.
Moved as not Android Development.
When I access my lock screen and push "Menu" it automatically takes me to my Home screen. Super annoying. Does anyone know how to disable this?
The Marketplace App Lockbot will change the lock screen to look like the Flan, Eclair, or iPhone lock screen. If you just want an Eclair one, the free version of Lockbot should be ok (the paid version has Flan).

Download widget locker from market it has a variety of lockscreens and extras.
Mod the lockscreen without root? Nah... you root access to replace system files.

if you are not rooted, most probably you will see two lockscreens.
anyway, lockscreen alternatives are; widgetlocker, lockbot, lockit etc......

I have Widget Locker but now and again the original screen pops up and it can be a bit of a pain sometimes.

in my opinion, the reason you see 2 lockscreens is because of android system 5 second rule. any lockscreen other than stock one, will have to wait 5 to initialize. however, in widget locker you can bypass this rule. turn on home helper option in behaviour, and make sure 5 sec bypass is checked. if it is unchecked, check it.

This is an issue with htc sense roms. on aosp roms like cm6 or cm7, the original lock never shows up with the 5 second root bypass rule activated.
Try Lockbot Pro..it has a variety of Lock screens to choose from like Eclair style, iPhone, Froyo etc....it shows up only one lock screen though..and you ve an option to unlock the screen using any hardware button not just power button, nifty feature

I would like to find a ICE (In Case of Emergency) app that places icon on lockscreen on unrooted wildfire 2.2, i've searched a lot of these ICE apps but no one i've checked states to put a lockscreen icon.
Also i've seen some HTC handsets have option to change sense's dock bars to e.g. steel colour. Is this possible on Wildfire unrooted froyo?

You can change the dock with LauncherPro and I think WidgetLocker lets you put apps on the lock screen.

I noticed in Gallery there's drawable-hdpi (37) with all the image files in there. I suppose you could change #37, which is the background of the widget. I guess in theory you could customize any of those files to customize the locker. It's just a guess though and I haven't attempted to try to change anything though.
I wonder if this will eventually become a full blown WidgetLocker/Executive Assistant type replacement. Can you add widgets to this app? Now that would make this an awesome app!
Anyone else get the bonus feature of not being able to swipe homescreens from left to right every now and then unless you swipe the other direction first?
This would happen to me with GOLauncherEX fairly frequently on my GSII , and I have stopped using it because of that. Now I am back on stock TW4 with no issues.

FWIW, I've never had that happen to me once and I've been running Go Launcher EX on my SGS2 almost since the day I got it.
And I've been using Go Launcher as my go-to launcher app for quite a while now, across quite a few different Android phones.

But I did a full wipe and reinstall today, so I'll check it out.

My biggest use for widgetlocker is to have a pandora widget and volume controls on my unlock screen so I can use it [in my workshop or garage] without needing to unlock every time.

Is there any way to extract the image from somewhere through a file manager?

I know the being locked out panic feeling,not fun! I used to have a Samsung Captivate with MIUI and loved all the themes/lockscreens. I was disappointed when the lockscreens didn't fit right on the Atrix, so I went on a hunt and found that the evo 3d and some others also have qHD screens.

Not working for me
Am I doing something wrong? I can't get any themes I download for miui to appear in my local themes window. I can download them online and they (mostly) work (with the exception of the ones where the lockscreen is offcenter, that makes sense now). But if I download them elsewhere and move them into my /sdcard/miui/theme folder they don't appear, even if I click import theme and go select them.
I figured I was downloading incompatible themes but with the list of qHD ones that can't be it. Anyone have any ideas what is going on?
If it is just a lockscreen , you have to go to themes then click customize at the bottom, then hit lockscreen. Sometimes what you download might not be a complete theme so it's not going to show in themes, but will in the customize menu.

For those who dont know, you can unlock manually any miui lockscreen pressing back+volumeup.
It supposed to be at the same time, but I have better luck keeping back pressed, and then pressing volume up.
So the stock wallpaper on the Galaxy S4 goes all the way to the notification panel at the top and makes it transparent which i love. I figured i would try and load a custom wallpaper and it would do the same thing, no go! This is kind of disappointing that the stock wallpapers have dimensions that sideloaded wallpapers dont. Has anyone figured out a way to cover that area so it looks as nice as the stock wallpapers.

This is well known, Samsung has come out and told us you only get the transparent notification bar on their wallpapers. Their reasoning, which makes sense, is that they don't know what kind of picture you would be using, and certain backgrounds would make the navigation bar text unreadable.
The only thing I can think of is if you use Nova Launcher, you can enable "transparent notification bar" somewhere in the menu, that might let you do that with all wallpapers.

You don't need the lock screen with Nova. Lock screen is a different APK. You can still change the two by going into your settings -> My device -> Display -> Wallpaper and then pick Lock Screen or Home Screen.
Here is my issue. I've gotten my luck screen to be transparent v by luck. I tested that luck changed wallpaper and lost transparency. Anyone else run into this

You could replace one of the stock wallpapers. I looked and they are packaged as drawables in the wall paper chooser apk (SecWallpaperChooser.apk). I may try to do it...it is essentially like making a theme.
BTW, the stock wallpapers are 1920x1920...I guess so they work in landscape?
