My Battery Collection. - G1 Accessories

All these batteries + G1 Dock with 2nd slot battery charger = WIN.
So. Many. Batteries.
Just got my other two in from ebay at $4 a pop. They were supposed to be OEM replacements but to my suprise, one of them says "1300mAh Replacement Battery For HTC G1". The other looks like a replica of an OEM battery but you can tell its not OEM. For $8 for both though, who really cares? lol, here's some pics of all my batteries.

Seidio 2600mAh With Extended Back Door $50
Andida "1600mAh" Extended Batteries (2) They are $10 each but i got em $10 for both
And of course, my stock OEM pos bloated HTC battery but you all know what that looks like.
Think i got enough Juice?

Impressive. I also have a 'defective' andida that I charge with an external charger. I have one of those white label batteries that came with one of my external chargers. It's a good emergency battery, but inferior to the OEM. I have a Seido 1400 that works pretty well. The Seido and the Andida seem to last about the same time in the phone. I still use the OEM even though it started bulging a bit. I hope that doesn't mean it's about to explode.
Depending on usage, I can rotate out all four batteries in a single day. The new radio has improved battery life, though.

How do they perform?

Yea, i was gonna spring for the Seidio 1400 but for the price, i just spent a couple more dollars and got the 2600 Extended at the time. My OEM battery is buldgy as a mofo too, that sh!t scares me sometimes lol. It dies so quick, its ridiculous.

There is no words for the Seidio 2600, that thing is a beast. 3 days easy with everything on. The Andidas last about a day and a half with heavy usage and some things turned off. The others i havent tested yet and the OEM is garbage, lasts about 4 hours max with LIGHT usage.

I have no plans on making my G1 a super brick...yet.

Hey do you have a link for the andida battery, I cant find'em anywhere .

and you shouldnt have to when they have these slim extended batteries that fit with the extended cover now because believe me, those things turn your phone into the only brick.

Unforunately, he stopped selling them after the whole fiasco he went through with getting a bad batch and sending it out to everyone then having to replace them all...he just called it quits. =\
If you wanna see exactly what im talking about, just read up on the Andida 1600mAh Battery thread, its like 50 pages long from various XDA members including myself waiting months and months and months for a working $10 extended battery...it was crazy.
On another note though, i've heard there are other 1600mAh extended batteries on ebay so just do a search and they should come up. I think i remember one guy telling me about "Ecell" extended batteries? Give it a go and let us know how it goes.

Don't care about price, 3500 mAh was so worth it for the Evo 4G
Damn!!! I wanna Jump on this right now, but Im gonna have to wait. I loved that 3500 for the 4G.
If I ever need'to jump start my car...whip out a 3vo and jumper cables..damn...how long will it take to charge..a week?..
Is this the same item but for $5 less?

Lord have mercy, that thing is ugly...I'm sorry but I stayed away from the EVO one because it too was just over the top. But, it does look like it could jump my Duramax diesel truck
I went with the Yoobao for my old EVO, which served me well:

I'll wait and see what these guys come out with, should look at least curved on the ends and not angled like the Seido; paid 20 bucks for the EVO battery and door, just sold it for 10 bucks to a buddy. Still lasted a full day even after a year.

I think the battery is so big because it relies on slightly outdated "Elf" technology.
For those not familiar with Elf batteries, the idea is simple: Inside the battery dwells a colony of friendly and industrious elves that work night and day to power your phone. Picture a light bulb powered by a hamster wheel, only with elves.
The upshot is that you can get great battery life, but in addition to charging you will periodically need to smear a small amount of peanut butter on the battery to feed the elves (this is detailed on page 4 of the battery's manual). Also, if you hear a folksy, quiet, yet haunting melody coming from your battery, that means it's working properly, so don't be alarmed.

With the battery life were getting now I don't see the use of this monster, but when we get root I'm picking this badboy up and overclocking to the max! I'm gonna try my best to kill it. Imagine 2ghz all the time, hopefully we can go that high.

I suspect that this is the 3500 - it is advertised as 2X original battery life.
And, in that case it is the same price.

only problem with those batteries is its hit or miss if you get a good one. I ordered the same exact ones for my OG Evo (pack of 2 batts and 2 covers for 20 bucks) but only one would hold an "extended" charge. The other held like the OEM battery.
Usually, you get what you pay for, just keep that in mind

Best extended battery

I guess a lot of people have tried getting an extended battery for their Evo3D. Which one is the best you have tried, and what kind of uptime did you get it from it?
Did it fit the original cover, and can you recommend the replacement cover?

Expansys Extended battery for me has been awesome, 2 days + normal use, 4 days if i dont use it much!!!
Well, how extended are these? ;D
look it up! 3400 mah
If you want it to fit under your stock battery cover, go with Anker or Chichitec. Both are listed as 1900mah and are definitely better than stock. I get around 20 hours Up time and 5 hours Awake with the Anker batteries. 2 batteries and an external charger for around $30 shipped for either brand, and both ship from California I believe (Anker for sure). For reference, I get around 14 hours Up and 3.5 hours Awake with stock HTC battery. Also, the Anker batteries are only listed for the Sensation, but both use the same battery. Not sure why Anker doesn't list them for the Evo 3D as well, I'm sure they would sell quite a few more if they did....

We got 2 Anker batteries for our E3Ds a little over a month ago and am very satisfied. Lasts longer than stock. You can buy 1-battery, 1-charger+1 battery or 1-charger+ 2 batteries. Fast shipping also.

Yep I have two CHICHITEC batteries they work great and last just as long as the stock battery if not longer.
Seidio 4000 mah by far the best hands down. 3G/4G used entire time, many calls, games, YouTube videos, lots of e-mail and gps

I'm really curious about this one.
I wouldn't mind trying it just because we don't have NFC baked into our batteries.
Although I'm not sure how it will do vs. the OEM one
consider this is near the price of a single official battery, i think this is worth a shot!
Does this require a new battery cover? If not I might pick it up.
WOW... only 2800mah x 2 pcs + charger, It's a very good deal WOW WOW WOW
Does this fit behind the stock battery cover?

From what we can tell, yes. Just higher capacity w/ the same size.
One nice thing about this is that we get to keep our NFC while boosting the battery
Has anyone got this yet and tested it? It's very tempting... although my note's battery life is better than my skyrocket...
I highly doubt it actually has a higher capacity than the OEM battery. All of the aftermarket batteries I've tried, even though claiming to have higher capacities than OEM (2900mAh), have only been ~65-75% of OEM. They seem to have no problem lying. So the best deal so far seems to be the $3 batteries on ebay.
definitely report back with some results. I would love to know if they are atleast as good as OEM although I am always really skeptical about after market batteries as I have yet to find any that work as they claim....
I would love it if a 3000mAh could fit stock.
i would agree IF it really pans out to be a 3000MAh battery however if history dictates anything... it wont...
QCell has some good reviews on Amazon. And you also get a battery charger. I think it would be worth it

Lying???? That is a terrible thing to say. Everyone knows you can get batteries for 1/4 the price and they are just as good...especially pin Ebay!
Stick with OEM on batteries for better performance. I found out the hard way a few times.

OEM are good no doubt but definitely not the best bang for the bucks. Consider price of one oem is 4 of these. Even if they are of 80% capacity of oem, it is still much more than original capacity combined
ran some tests for a week and these are faring very well. In fact with these two batteries I don't need to use my OEM ones anymore. Both batteries last as long as the OEM batteries I have. With these two, I can go out for a full day without worry of no power This is quite good of an investment for my i717 juice sucker.
Wonder when the extended battery for this is out. Will be interesting to have just one battery and that's it

Awesome! I didn't even realize they made extended battery cases for the Evo 3d yet. Makes my life a whole lot easier since the dang bezel on the phone is starting to come off.
Way too pricey for me... And bulky as well... Thanks for the pics
so guys, after 2 charging cycles, this battery is amazing.
It last 2 days with normal use and i still had 30%. (with stock battery it last 1 day)
10 hours screen on, 30 minutes call, 30 minutes gps, 20 photos etc...wow

NICE I would jump on it and snag one up lol just kinda pricey...
Please don't think I'm trying to rain on your parade. The cheapy ebay extended batteries will do that. If you consider your usage 'heavy' then maybe I'm interpreting the figures wrong?
However, I absolutely love the case and combo FINALLY an extended battery and cover in one. Really like the flip down panel for the camera as well, excellent feature.
You're right. I bought this battery because i know that i want a seidio extended combo case. I like it (i know about thread with otterbox defender maximum edition )
I had hard day in work, heavy usage, screen on, skype online all the time, some games...it last 24 hours to 42% battery. With stock battery i did only 11 hours and battery was dead with this usage.
So i like seidio battery, cheapy ebay maybe do the same work, but i have special defender case
Well.. have to say.. I've started looking at the Seido stuff now my Evo 3D has arrived, even though I said I wouldn't spend that money lol. (And an extended battery/cover already turned up today for it lol). Really do appreciate the pics/links
After 1 day 12h usage at work, still 25% battery remain. Amazing. Screen on time, wifi, sync on...

Gonna be out in the field for a few weeks. If this item claims stay accurate, I'm gonna be a happy camper when I return.
The case I just purchased is only $30.

I'll get it in a few days, and will post back to validate material quality.
Just came back from the field. This combo kicks ass. Bought both the battery and the case at amazon for 80 dollars.
If you're never near an outlet, this one is worth the investment.
Hi, do you use any of tracking app (like endomondo/runkeeper)? I would like to know how many % of battery it takes for 1 hour (no 3g/edge, only gsm and gps with screen of)? Would be nice if you could do some tests. Thanks

its a rebranded seido (3400mah). its double the life for cheap. they used to sell this in retail at best buy. bought mine a week ago, it was 6.99 then.
its basically the 4000mah battery with less mah. but for way cheaper.
cowboom is great but if you have doubts you can google or ebay the model number HDB21SB its usually under 20 bucks.

Given the little flap in the back of the dock i see no way that it could.
the battery nearly doubles the thickness of the 3d for 90 percent of the length.
the battery its self is basically two stock batteries stacked together.
I have both the 4000 and 3500. The 4000 is my primary and 3500 the secondary. They're both excellent. You just have to reboot it a couple of times to get a full charge. It can't be helped.

I have the Anker 1900. Stock battery size and was cheap! About £8-9.

The 4000 and 3500 you posted are the ones I have. People say it makes are phone look big, but I just tell them to not hate on me for for not having small hands like they do.
What made me get them? When I was out in the field, I wasn't always near an outlet. There where times when I was away from a power outlet for weeks. It was nice knowing I had the only working phone out there to make calls.

So the Seido Innocell and the 3500 Incredicell from AccessorySwamp.com are quality batteries you're saying. Heard anything about the Laza Zcell? It's 3460, instead of the 3500, and a bit cheaper. I think I've narrowed my choices to the 3 above. Thinking I'll start with the 3500.
Absolutely. Those both have a great track record. As for the last one, that's an odd one for me. Some people say it works, and others no. It's all about where you want to put your money pimpin.
i got the platinum SE (the one on cowboom). it works great, but i dont use it anymore. Battery life is good enough with stock after the first couple days of excitement for my phone wore off. Now i have extra battery left every night when i go to sleep, and so theres no point putting on the bigger heavier battery
