Hello
I saw an ad on ebay:
Color: Black
Logo: HTC
1. Faceplate x 1
2. Chassis x 1
3. Battery cover x 1
4. Keypad x 1
5. Volume button x 1
6. Power button x 1
7. Side button set x 1
8. Touch screen x 1
9. Free T5 screwdriver x 1
for 54.99$ + free shipping
two questions:
1. does anybody know a better offer?!
2. somewhere in this ad they mentioned: All of them are taken out from original phones
Does this mean that it's like second hand !? Why would anybody want to take these parts from original phone and sell them separately?!
I'd be happy if you reply very fast...
Thank you in advance!
ever heard of spares & repairs?

I'm here in king of prussia and as soon as i got here last monday they replace my phone. now watching netflix in a dark room I'm seeing black spots!!!
this is the 3rd razr.
1) loose power button
2) motorola nameplate on earpiece is missing
3) current - black spots when watching netflix or on black background
4) i am probably ended with NEXUS on friday!
1- It is loose in every RAZR. Also the volume rockers, that's designed like that to strengten the button, not a flaw or anything.
2- 3 weeks since it's in my pocket and it nameplate stays in its place ?
3- There's no way to see splotches unless you're watching a movie which consists of black frames from the beginning to the end.
4- You better buy a Galaxy NEXUS and be happy.

not every RAZR has loose power button. the 2nd and 3rd i have has tight power button..
you should check yours. your power button should be the same as your volume button
I've sold about 10 razr xt910's till now and all of their power buttons are loose. Yes the volume rocker buttons are also loose on mine. What is the problem with that ?
Does anyone else have the volume button sticky issue as well?
I took it for a guarantee repair, now its better, but its still sticky... Damn...
yeah my volume key got stuck and took it back for repair and they are still waiting for parts. :crying:
same issue. I try to control the volume via screen instead
I think I need to install an app to disable the volume button completely
My s3 also got same, after repair ...it's ok!

My Galaxy S3's Volume button was sticky just out of the box. Only problem was I had to post it to UK for warranty which could have cost me about 20 USD. So when I searched youtube I found a video demonstrating how to Disassemble the galaxy S3. So I went ahead
1- Power off the device
2- Remove the Back cover
3- Remove the battery
4- Remove the micro sim and the SD card
5- Remove all the small screws execpt the one in the top most part of the phone.
6- Now take off the plastic piece which will expose the volume rocker area.
7- Now take out the volume rocker as shown in the video.
8- Now slowly re-insert the voume rocker as shown in the re assembly part of the video.
9- Now your volume rocker should be working fine.
10- If it is still sticky you can take it out again and re-insert it again. If it is still sticky inspect the volume rocker for any damage, if so you might have to order a new volume rocker. It is available in Ebay for 5.90 USD. search ebay for ' Volume side button Samsung Galaxy S3 GT i9300'
11- Put back the plastic cover in place, which will clip back in to a good fit.
12- Now put the screws back.
13- re insert the sim and the sd card.
14- put back the batter and the back cover.

This actually worked for me. You have to make sure you realign the little board with the volume switches before putting the volume rocker back in. The switches need to be in the center of the cut-out in a straight line, mine were totally angled but now it works perfectly.
Oh and don't worry about voiding your warranty, there are no "void warranty" stickers or anything you need to remove. No one will be able to tell you've opened it.
I had the same problem. There is no need to take apart your phone. You can simply just pop out your volume rocker. You can use your finger nail or a flat head screw driver. Just reseat the volume rocker and make sure the end that has the cut out goes towards the ear piece.

It seems like one batch had this issue, mine didn't..
Like all the people that bought the phone on the first batches and had ugly screen issues and cracking xD
I had this problem too. Took it to Sammy service center and they fixed it in ten mins.
They said that it was due to dust getting accumulated in the gaps. But I seriously doubted my soft capdase case would be a reason and stopped using it. No problem now!

My power button just stopped working on my truesmart ... I could still use the home button to turn the screen on ... but I didn't charge it in time ... and now it's off ... with no way to turn it on @ all!
How can I get the power button working again? I am quite sure (from what I have heard) that I have no chance of getting Truesmart to actually honour their warranty .
Thanks,
Kris
I've got the same on Callisto 300. The solutions are:
1. To clean outside part of the button - in my case there was some glue-like material on it - and it prevents the button to move all way to inside.
2. To open back cover with 4 screws and to locate small button (as elecric component) on the PCB. It's possible to push it with small screwdriver to check either the problem is in outer (mechanical) button either with inner one (component). In my case it was outer one, and the problem was solved after cleaning.
Hi,
I've had my Xperia ZU for 2 years now. I had broken the original LCD a few years ago so I bought 2 replacements deemed genuine. Both these were fakes, no doubt but I used them anyway. After my 2nd Fake stopped working, I opted to buy a genuine one which was with the shell attached to it.
I received it, and it looked genuine but after installing the motherboard in, I've had some issues. One issue is that when pressing the power button to use the phone, lines appear across the screen for a second and then the unlock screen appears, this problem happens when booting and unlocking the phone or whenever the LCD is turned off for more than 5 seconds. My second issue is that there is color inconsistencies on the LCD. The color of the notification drop down changes from dark blue to a lighter color if I clear notifications. It does the same behavior in anything that has color changes.
A video describing the fault is here: youtu.be / riJ9GShHNOI
However, these issues also happened on my fake screen before but I ignored them since it was a fake screen.
I am wondering if the screen is faulty or is it my actual Motherboard that is faulty? Thanks in advance
