hi guys, I have a mogul for sprint but it is stuck at the bootloader. The message I see is: TITA100,SPL-2.07.0000,CPLD-9 and it says serial at the bottom. I have updated the rom via sd card and it completed succesfully but when I reboot I am back at the same screen. When I plug it into a computer it says the usb device as malfunctioned. I have tried the exitloader but with no usb connectivity its not working. So I have no connectivity that way. Can anyone help?? Thanks
by the way
By the way I should tell you It started after I was in windows and it froze up. I soft reset the device and have been in this screen ever since.
you did not update your bootloader correctly, as your are still in 2.07. that is the temporary BL in which no2chem's program uses to flash the 2.47 bootloader. if youre stuck, use exit bootloader, and run the thing again. make sure you go through the whole process.
Confused
I don't understand how I can do this. I cant access the device with usb so I cannot run exit bootloader on the computer and I cannot install nuespl update because I cant usb connect to the device and cannot get into the windows os on the device.

You didn't update your bootloader before you flashed, that's what's causing your problems.
While in the bootloader, if you plug it in via USB, it should change to USB at the bottom. Flash the Official 3.56 Sprint Rom to be able to boot into Windows Mobile again. Then connect to Activesync and update your bootloader first BEFORE you flash any custom roms/radios.
hmm
ok i tried that but the ruu program gives me error 260 cannot connect to usb. Which doesn't surprise me becuase the second I plug the usb cable it windows says the device is not recognized. What am i missing?
Into windows
Ok I got into windows mobile by plugging the phone into the power outlet and soft reseting the phone. Then I can unplug it and Its fine and in windows but if i reset it without it being plugged into the wall its stuck at the boot loader again. Any ideas whats going on with this thing

I would start from scratch again like GC said. Get into Activesync... and do the Bootloader flash... then reflash the Radio/Rom.

hit the 2 buttons with the dot on them,at the same time press the rest button at the bottom were the usb plugs in.make sure you have the right activesync for your OS.xp uses 4.5 and vista uses mobile center.also make sure when your flashing your ppc that you disable the stand by power mode, uncheck all option that would put your ppc in standby will your flashing it.

Please stop typing in all caps.
Then describe what you did that resulted in this. Did you try to flash a custom ROM? If so, it probably failed because you didn't update your bootloader.
i'm having the same problem... tri-color bars:
TITA100
SPL-2.07.0000
CPLD-9
Serial (USB when i plug in the usb cable)
PC would not recognize the device so i can not run the exit boot loader that seems to solve the problem for a lot of ppl here.
The scenario with my device: i was not trying to update anything. the phone dropped onto the floor and the battery came loose. when i put the battery back in, it was stuck in the bootloader.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just had a similar problem though my phone didn't even drop, it went into bootloader while I was listening to a podcast via bluetooth. You could try to re flash via sd card(see the wiki), but if you're unable to connect with the pc, your phone is likely bricked. I tried the sd route and though I was able to get the update to complete, it always went back to the bootloader. The phone was swapped out (my 4th!) yesterday, unfortunately they had Moguls so no TP for me! Good luck!
i did get the mogul to reflash via the sd card but it would return to the bootload screen. so i left the battery out. i tried the next morning and the phone proceeded to boot up. it recognized that there is a new image and started to run thru the setup and installed all the files. when the setup completed, guess what, it required a reset. and back came the bootload screen. seems that, 99.9% of the time, after a reset (soft or hard), my phone would return to the bootload screen.
after countless tries, i finally managed to boot up my phone with my personal info restored. but if i need to reset or battery drains and a restart is needed, the bootload screen would return. and the only course of action is to remove the battery and keeping trying until the phone boots up properly.
obviously, i can not live with a phone this way... so i will be sending the brick back to UT starcom for a replacement.
in the mean time, i guess i will get one of those pay as you go sim card for a spare nokia i have laying around the house.
thank you for all the info and tips here... i think i know more about the mogul than some of the sprint employees at my local sprint store.
If your PC is not recognizing the phone when its in bootloader is probably because you don't have the correct drivers installed for your phone. Might wanna google the drivers and install it and then try going through the advice from the other members.
Meaning put into bootloader manually then install correct unlocker (Olipro 2.40 or Nue 2.47)-->run stock ROM (to install radio)-->install custom ROM
I'm not sure if this helps but I just ran in to a similar issue of getting stuck in the boot loader. What I did was use to flash back to the earliest stock from Verizon (for me it was 2.09 and radio 1.30) but I was still stuck in the bootloader screen. I then used titan_exitbl.exe (found here at XDA) and exit the boatloader. Afterwards I did the rom flash one more time and it worked. I was back in to a stock rom. The issue I'm having now is that if I try to upgrade to the next stock rom the process fails at 11% again, and since I never had this issue before with this rom (3.57) prior to oilpro 1.20, I suspect that is the problem. I have to uninstall oilpro 1.20, then try the 3.57 stock rom again or install nuespl 2.47 or something. You guys have any clue how to uninstall oilpro 1.2? Will titan_relocker do it for me?
Here is my thread, and thanks for all the guys who helped me on this one.

keeps happening w/ my Sprint HTC Mogul a little more often now (it's about 1.5 years old). But it just goes away after a while, I really don't do anything.
On Monday I was shutting my Mogul down after fully charging the battery by holding the power button until the reboot prompt came up on the screen, I pressed yes and it shut down like it always has. I removed the battery and swapped to my other battery to charge it and when I tried to boot it up by pressing the power button again I just got the bootloader screen. I tried everything, with power plugged in an not, tried either battery, nothing, just stuck on the bootloader, I even tried the factory reset as a last resort thinking I wouldn't lose much, I sync pretty frequently. Even the factory reset holding the 2 soft keys while pressing the reset button it went blank then back to bootloader again. I am running everything stock from Sprint, no modifications or other software (WM 6.1 from HTC). I scoured the web and found on a ppcgeeks thread that someone had tried plugging the Y-adapter cable with the 2.5mm headset and mini-usb connectors on it and I happened to have it sitting around and plugged it in and pressed the reset button with the stylus again and it booted right up just fine. It also seems to boot fine with any of the other adapters I have (nothing needs to be connected to the adapters, just the adapter needs to be inserted into the phone in order for it to boot properly). I took it to Sprint and they had the techs look at it and had never heard of it before. They offered to reflash the rom but said that there is an equal chance that it could either fix it or brick it and they wanted me to sign a waiver that would release them of any liability if it bricked. I told them I can flash the rom myself with activesync at home, if they're not going to take any liability I'd be just as well off doing it myself.
I also found that sometimes when placing a call I can't hear anything, and when I have my Seidio 3.5mm audio adapter plugged in the audio will not pass through the adapter unless the phone is rebooted with the adapter plugged in all the time, as soon as I unplug the adapter it goes to the phone speaker for audio (music from windows media player) and it will not return the sound to the adapter when it is plugged back in until it's rebooted again.
Any ideas?

There are some solutions 1 page behind http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2516968&postcount=5.
Hi everyone,
Yesterday I made a Radio update to version 63.18.55.06_6.35.07.08. I made it putting the update.zip (radio rom) file in the SD Card.
All worked fine until the htc hero restarted (after appears the box with the orange arrow). Thereafter the Hero only shows the Hero logo when I turn on.
I tried to init the fastboot pressing home+power and home+back+power buttons (without SD Card and without SIM card) but always the result is the same, the logo appears and nothing happens.
The computer doesn't detects the Hero's USB connection and I can't run adb commands because it raises the "device not found" error.
Someone can help me?
Thanks in advance!
Did you let the screen with the box run its course?
Did the recovery console come back up saying formatting cache?
Have you tryed holding just back+power? ive never heard of using back+home+power
And also, i think your supposed to enter recovery with the sd in.
If that works then in that state is should be found by adb.
But yes, as the poster before me said, it should show the "unpacking" image, and then it should reboot. It should then go straight back into the recovery and the recovery will format the cache. If you tryed to turn it off at any point then, then something is badly mucked up. But it isnt bricked, and probably can be saved. Its only bricked when no logos at all come up on boot. If you managed to get it reconised by adb, you could probs format the cache manualy, though i dont know the command
All the previous steps after the breack are as you say, but after the "unpacking" image, the htc hero restarted and showed the hero logo instead the correct menu.
The problem with the adb is that the computer doesn't recognize the htc hero across usb. When I write the adb command ("adb devices") doesn't displays any device, and I can't run any adb shell for the same reason. How can I run any adb command if the device isn't recognized by the computer?
Have you tryed just taking the battery out, waiting 30 seconds, putting it back in, then booting the phone holding back+power?
And adb is very strange i find... Sometimes it reconises a phone, sometimes it doesnt, for no apparent reason. Have you tryed leaving it on the hero logo for a while then running adb commands?
If he has flashed, wouldnt the USB Debugging setting be reset also, wouldnt this be why he cannot access via adb.
Hi.
I habe exactly the same problem. I have updated radion.
Now ther come only the T-Mobile Logo and that's all.
I can not enter neither Recovery Mode nor fasbtoot does do something.
Any suggestions?
Lado
this problem shud be fixed asap because i think its a threat for all hero modders and owners as our phones get killed at anytime with this process. so guys lets try to find a solution for this problem. cheers
Updated Radio to 63.18.55.06JU_6.35.09.26 and it killed my hero.
first the box with the orange arrow came up and then the whole phone died... now it wont even turn on the screen.
please fix?????????????????
I had the box with the orange arrow yesterday after flashing radio.
The phone isn't dead, I think it's just working.
I kinda paniced also when it happend but I got into recovery eventually.
When you flash a radio it does not actually install that image until your first boot (when you see that phone out the box image).
At this point DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITH THE PHONE just wait and it will install the image and reboot for you. IT CAN TAKE UP TO 10 MINUTES.
If you turn it off or otherwise interrupt this process it can really mess up your phone. however the general rule is so long as you can see the HTC logo when you turn on i.e. it still turns on you can in theory always recover, its just a matter of finding the way that works.
I was trying to flash a ROM (not sure exactly which one - I did this like a month or two ago) but I did something wrong and the phone is now in a boot loop. It gets to HTC logo and reboots constantly. When I try booting into recovery, it show CWM on the screen for a split second and then reboots (back into the bootloop). I am, however, able to get into fastboot. It says "tampered" and "unlocked" at the top. It's hboot version 1.44. When I select the factory reset or recovery option, it goes back into the bootloop.
I have read several posts about connecting it to a computer and using adb to reset it while in fastboot but I can't do that. Whenever I connect it to a computer, the phone does not get recognized on the computer whatsoever. When I plug it in, it starts charging but nothing happens on the computer. I have tried installing the drivers on multiple PCs (both Windows 7 and 8) and I have tried using several different USB cables. This was the case long before it was stuck in the boot loop too so it's not a new issue. It just doesn't get recognized on a computer. I've tried going into device manager and everything, nothing shows up. Is there any way I can fix this issue since I seemingly can't use adb?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Hi. So today, i was using my 1 year old phone when suddenly, the power/reboot screen appeared and my phone rebooted. It then started to loop every 2-3 seconds. I tried recovery mode but i coudn't hold the volume button long enough before it rebooted. I had USB debug and a bunch of other dev settings on allready and tried to use ABD but my PC didn't recognize my device. I then put the phone away for a while and turned it on. It worked. But then, it re-entered the loop and it worked again. It now is in a stable position, i recovered all my data. I suppose this may be a hardware problem but i don't know much. What do I do/how shall I fix it preferably without having to go to a repair center or something?
You can try to install stock rom but first adb must detect your phone. Make sure you install the adb/fastboot drivers and the USB drivers for your phone.

Hello community,
I haven't posted here before, so I hope I'm not doing anything wrong.
I have a problem with my Neffos X1 and after browsing the internet for hours nothing helped so far, so I hope some of you can help me out.
My phone is stuck in a bootloop since yesterday evening. I haven't done any updates or new installations recently, so it just happened out of the blue. It loads till the Neffos logo and then restarts over and over again.
Since I can't take the battery out, I tried letting it run out of energy and then restart, but as soon as I connect it to a power source the bootloop will start again.
I read a lot about getting it in recovery mode or to try and flash it, but no matter what combination of buttons I try, nothing is happening. The phone basically doesn't react to anything and just keeps restarting. The only thing I noticed is, that when pushing both volume keys the screen will just stay black (no restarting), but after letting go the bootloop will start again.
I tried flashing it via SP Flash Tools, but the phone also doesn't react to it.
Lots of troubleshooting guides also require, that I have rooted my phone in the past, unfortunatly I haven't. I also read about unlocking the bootloader, but since my phone isn't reacting to any buttons and my laptop also doesn't seem to recognize my phone (probably because it doesn't boot proberly), that doesn't seem like a solution either.
To summarize: I'm stuck in a bootloop with no recovery mode, no rooting, no unlocking bootloader, probably can only use my laptop to do anything remotely.
So, is there anything you can think of, that might help me get out of the bootloop? Or ideas of what I may did wrong when trying the other solutions?
Thanks for any help in advance.
Same problem
I have the same problem, I have tried all kinds of soft reset and nothing is working I also opened the phone to check if anything was not connected properly, but everything seems fine except for that infinite loop. Please help!

Try this
Download phone's Stock Firmware onto your personal computer.
Install the USB MTK Drivers - NOT ANY OTHERS (skip if you have them already installed).
Download and Launch the Smart Phone Flash Tool (SP Flash Tool)
Click the Scatter-loading button to navigate to the Stock Rom you just downloaded.
Select the Scatter File from the extracted Stock Firmware on your computer.
Select the Download Only in the SP flash tool option
Click the Download button to start the Formating process.
Connect your phone via USB to the computer>> holding volume + and volume – button of your phone at the same time or holding power button only so that the flashing process will starting working
Patiently wait for your device to be formatted.
After the formatting is done, a Big Green button will pop up on the SP Flash to show that.
Unplug phone and boot it up.
If you have a boot loop after booting your device, boot into recovery mode and do a factory reset.
Voila, you are all good.
