I've install Radio 3.53.25.20 and now my phone is not conecting on my network. Can anyone help me?
I have to anounce that I am using a Tornado sim to conect on Cosmote. 10x
Hei,
Try installing a rom that comes with a radio that you know works on Orange to overwrite your current ROM.
I have updated my rom and my mega works on Orange Ro.
Also try a hard reset.
Keep me updated.

10xxx It is alive!!!!!
PS It is possibile to unlock it from orange. I want to get rid off the tornado sim.
Yes, you can unlock it, but its not free. It costs around 15 - 20 Euros.
Do you mean something like www(dot)sim-unlocker(dot)com ?
yes. , but please read first, because there are some services like such that dont work for all phones and operators.
I tried some time ago and did not work. I think maybe after I changed the ROM will work.
Any ideas?
It is not ROM related.

Hi folks, I've read through the Wiki and threads but I'm unsure if I can flash my recently bought V1650 with the Orange SPV3100 ROM. Can anyone tell me if it will work? I currently use an Orange M5000 and would like to use my sim in my V1650 (It's already SIM unlocked).
Many thanks.
It'll work, just ensure that your device is super CID...
I hope you mean v1605
Oops a bit too eager with the keyboard - it's the v1605.
Will change to SuperCID and try the latest Orange Rom. Thanks folks.
If it's sim unlocked then you do not need to flash an Orange ROM for your sim to work, unless it's the Orange customisations that you're after, which you can also get as a seperate cab.
I am currently living in Japan and have just picked up a new HT1100 (Touch Dual) on the Docomo network.
This is my first smartphone/PDA and I am very happy with it except for the language problem.
The entire system is in Japanese and I would like to change it to English. I have tried asking Docomo who didn't have a clue what to do and it seems that the original English software has been completely removed and replaced with an all-Japanese ROM.
I have never changed the ROM on a smartphone before but I am willing to give it a go but I have a few questions which I can't find answers to by searching -
1, Would it be better for me to try and find an English language pack (if one exists)?
2, If I do have to change the ROM completely then which would be the best one for me?
3, If everything gets screwed up then what are my chances of unbricking it and putting the original Japanese software back on?
4, If everything goes to plan and I change the software to a hacked version can I still use my Docomo sim card in it? Or is there some kind of security check between the sim card and the phone that means the card will only work with the Docomo ROM?
Sorry for all the questions but I'm a bit of a newbie at this and don't want to ruin a brand new phone that I am otherwise so happy with!
Read the Sticked Thread about HardSPL and make all Steps!!!
Read 10 Pages of the Thread befor you try this. Then you know all errors you can have and it prevent use for the same questions they all ready posted hehehe
After that ... looks around for a Favorit Rom and try it! If you have a Problem ... read the first 10 Pages of the Thread!
^_^
neon 100
japanese ht1100 code name is neon 100 not niki,
so do not flash niki radio or rom to ht1100(neon 100).
Thanks for the replies!
I will certainly read each step carefully before I flash the phone with new ROM.
But before I do I just want to check one thing to be completely clear - are you saying that after I put on this new homebrew ROM I will DEFINITELY be able to use my Docomo sim card in it without any problems?
Also, what settings would I need to enter on the new phone to use it properly? ie, when I flashed normal phones in the past I needed to re-enter all the MMS/internet settings. Is it the same with these smartphones or are there any other settings I will need to get?

3, If everything gets screwed up then what are my chances of unbricking it and putting the original Japanese software back on? Dump your original Rom before doing anything that way you can always manage to flash it back.
4, If everything goes to plan and I change the software to a hacked version can I still use my Docomo sim card in it? Or is there some kind of security check between the sim card and the phone that means the card will only work with the Docomo ROM? Is your phone Network locked? Have you tried a sim card from another Network?

hi,I have same handset with you , and have flashed english rom , if you want to flash any english rom,I think you will cannt use docomo network mms, hi-speed data plan etc.
and cannt accesse internet. so, must dump docomo original rom before flash other english rom. good luck.
I don't know if my phone is network locked as I have not tried another sim yet but I wouldn't be surprised if it it.
Actually, after mailing HTC Japan they have pointed me in the direction of an English language pack sold by another company. I have to wait another 24 hours before I can use it but it looks promising - http://www.cfcompany.co.jp/product/mobem/mobem.html
If Aten is right then flashing the phone will be no use to me if the Docomo sim card doesn't work.
I will wait and try this language pack to see how that works out. Maybe after that I will consider flashing the ROM.

The MMS and Connection settings are store either in *.Rgu files or *.Xml files on the Rom, not sure which ones. I had the same issue with my Telstra branded Rom, the network settings were built in so i couldn't connect to any other network. If you dump your rom and upload it up i can have a look and extract these settings for you.
Cheers
Well that language pack software arrived last night and I installed it without any problems.
It all seems pretty good. Not everything is translated but its enough to make the phone useable for me.
The only major issue I have is that it seems incompatible with the whole Touchflo interface. The touchflo will not open my videos or, photos or music files any more. I cannot use the Touchflo shortcuts and it seems I am also unable to set an MP3 as my ringtone/alarm etc.
Is there something I could change to make this work?
I am busy with work for the next few days but will see if I can upload this ROM on the weekend.
Hi,
I have a HTC HD2 UK stock O2 ROM 1.72.206.3 (86372) WWE.
I find this ROM really slow and buggy at times and it has gotten so bad that i sometimes can't perform simple functions like making calls due to the sluggishness of the keypad etc.
O2 recently replaced my HD2 because the previous one was too slow it was unusable.
I even purchased a £20 nokia as back up and i have to say it is much more reliable.
Dont get me wrong the HTC HD2 it is a great phone when it works but there are soo many bugs and all the hard resetting and pulling the battery out when it freezes is starting to really frustrate me!
I think updating the ROM might help but o2 haven't released an update to this ROM and i don't think they will.
1)How do i check if my phone is branded or unbranded?
2)Would it be possible to upgrade to a ROM like the artemis in the rom development section if my phone is O2 branded?
If you need any more info ill be happy to provide it.
Thank you for your help!
Its branded. The 1.72 roms are branded versions of the unbranded 1.66 roms (with any updates that came out between 1.66 and 1.72 release, , ,there werent many). Doesnt matter anyway, if you are going to flash a custom, you need hspl anyway.
No, there wont be a problem. Start reading HERE, be sure and read the whole first post, dont just skim it.
There is a difference between branding and SIM locked.
Branding is just the 'extras' that the mobile company add to the ROM. Most of them at best are a waste of space and at worst they slow/screw up the phone. My phone lasted a week with the T-Mobile (UK) branding, just to test that the phone was not faulty. Then It went onto the stock 1.66WWE HTC ROM. Although some of the custom ROMs look enticing; my ROM is doing everything that I need, so I don't see the need to change.
SIM locked is that the phone will only accept that operators SIM card. My phone is still SIM Locked.
Hi Guys, I know this isn't the right location for this thread, haven't got high enough post count.
I have a Voda Au branded sgs2 with kernal version DUKF2. Tried to unlock with Odia's method, Chainfire app, even spent a few (wasted) bucks on the 123unlock app.
And as expected Voda is dragging their feet to supply a sim unlock code.
Also, my nv_data.bin looks different from some of the others posted in Odia's thread...yes i rooted the phone and got it from /efs/nv_data.bin, copied to sdcrad ..etc.
Is it possible sammy have caught on and changed something?
Any help appreciated. Cheers.
Weird that voda simlocked, my Optus one arrived completely open. I'm sure you've confirmed it's locked before spending any time on this but what does the following code give you for the 4 lock values?:

Help!
Hey I also have a vodafone sg2... can you help me root it? I understand the procoss but unsure on the firmware to use... any help? Mine is KF2 however its a model I9100T... does it matter can someone give me some help?
I think that Voda are just mean pricks. The Network lock is on and the other 3 (sub, SP, CP) are off.
Unrealtb, I used the latest CF_Root - V4.0 firmware, rooted it, the restored the original DUKF2.

also, do you know the password for this file?
Cheers mate!
that's the one i used.
The password for the stock kernal is [email protected]
Cool just rooted my phone!! thanks mate, much appreciated
No worries.
I think I've worked out my problem...
New Hardware Version - MP 1.300
New Radio Version - SP6260_U1_01.1121_DB110525
New Unlock Method
Now just need to wait for a solution.
I just rooted mine now and lashed Villain Rom. Running the SGS2simunlock app now see what it returns. Will let you know results, mine is also from Voda
Hrm... I wonder if it's not working because you possibly have the GT-I9100T and most of the unlocking work was done on the I9100? I remember reading Intra was quite shocked at how much larger the stock firmware for voda was: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14838150&postcount=6. Still not entirely sure of what the difference is.
So it seems no unlock code found! i believe Voda's was bigger because they had like 7-8 extra apps installed, plus Voda's came with Navigon preinstalled
I believe Odia is working on a solution.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133069
We should have a better idea once Telstra release theirs.
Weird thing though, *#2222# shows HW version 1.2, but looking at the .bin file it shows 1.3
Hey sorry for the newb question, what are you trying to are you trying to use the phone ok n other networks? unlock?
Have you tried http://vodafone.com.au/unlock
Thought it's free to unlock vodafone?
No I do not have this handset but thinking about it and going to vodafone, but if it's locked and there's no solution yet, I'll just wait awhile
If people want this done faster, I am currently assisting Odia in getting the new hax.
Please read this post and send me your files.

Hi all.. i have been facing this issue for quite some time and no one seems to have a proper answer to the problem i have..I have At&t HTC One X+ and i m rooted, using ViperXL 2.0.0 JB 4.1.1. and i have S-ON. Well the problem is while in USA i used this phone with the same rom and the at&t sim work well and wifi was fine. When i came back to my country (Pakistan), and got it country unlocked the local sim works fine, but the wifi disconnects as soon as i insert the sim. The wifi works if i take out the sim and change the wifi country code to US using SQ Lite editor and then reboot WITHOUT SIM, other wise it again picks up PK as the wifi country code from the sim.
Tried all the softwares, WifiFix Manager and WifiCodes but none seem to be working.
I believe that Wififixmanager (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1445766) works on ICS only not on JB. I need a program that :
1) Changes the wifi country code while sim is on.
2) upon reboot still manages to keep the change of the country code.
Is their anyonewho can actually take a look at this..
Thanks & Regards
Optimus.

Bro as i told you earlier... you have to s-off your phone in terms of custom kernel to be properly flashed!
start rooting from scratch by using this tool kit and the step by step guide by hasoon2000 here is the link of his thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2066390
after that setup the market unlocker settings as i told you earlier (when you came to my office - i hope you remember them)
if the above doesn't help then sell your mobile to me lol i will get its a*s fixed or die trying!
