I am running NFSFANS rom but where is the htc volume control? When ever I press the volume buttons, it uses the default winmo volume control. I like the htc one. How to I get it back without reflashing?
PS: I am on a verizon touch pro

I believe (if there is a shortcut) it should be under Settings>System.
nothing. But thanks for trying! All help is appreciated.
I believe that the HTC volume control is not compatible with 6.5 roms.

I have a Sprint Touch Pro and for some reason I can't adjust the volume during a call. When I hit the volume keys on the side of the TP, the volume screen pops up and the System volume indicator increases or decreases with presses of the keys, but the call volume doesn't change at all.
I have installed the modified audiopara3.csv file to increase the phone's volume, and also have used Diamond Tweak to disable the 100db limit and set the Increase Sound option to High. Any suggestions?
Which volume screen pops up? The HTC one or the Microsoft Windows Mobile default one?
At least for me, the "fix" was to enable the Microsoft default one.

Thanks! That worked.
What Exactley does the cab listed above do? When I try to change the volume during a call it just changes the ringer/system volume as it normally would. I don't want to disable the volume controls all together when I press the side buttons though.

ohh, that remover it works for Me, it removes the orig. HTC volume adjuster, and voila! I can adjust the incall volume!
Thanks
Thanks a lot for this, finally getting this verizon brick to be half decent!
If you want the HTC Volume control
But when u install the HTC Volume control, ur volume-icon gets ugly (the standard one)
so here is the fix: (without messing up the volume icon)
First extract the files from HTC Volume Control Files.zip into windows/ directory.
second install the startup cab and then soft reset.
it will take some more time then normally to startup the first time, u wil see the volume screen when it starts up..!
TESTED ON: Xperia & HTC TP2
didnt work on my fuze

Hi,
I installed Dusk ultimate 5.01 rom on my htc touch hd and I had the same problem (I needed to launch the HTC volume control from the task bar once otherwise this was the ugly control that was popping out).
your cab solved it. As other files were already there in windows directory I did not overwrite them.
Still, the volume control shows up at every startup now. Is this normal? Is there a way to remove this?

Can someone confirm if it's possible to change the track with the volume keys while the screen is turned off.
I can currently do this with my nexus 1 running cm7
Thanks

Nope. You can't. Volume keys are for volume up/down purpose only. But you can swipe the clock in the lock screen to get the music player widget, where you can change tracks.
Well it may be adjustable with CM when it comes out for the S, so I wouldn't give up hope. It's just not available in stock .
I don't get why OEMs make this a part of the stock firmware. Its a very useful feature especially when listening to spotify.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA
Like the old Sony Ericsson Walkman phone's.
Hold up for next and down for previous.
It would be very usefull.
Im looking for a way to add 'Volume rocker to wake' function to my HOX+ its rooted and running AR 6.2. I know it might need some coding which I have very little experiance with so if it involves that a "Fools" Guide to do it would be greatly appreciated.

Both Viper roms have this option inside tweaks, you can wake phone using VOL UP and/or turn it off using VOL DOWN..

There is obviously a bug by using the ViperX+V1.0 ROM with the Viper Kernel...
After a few seconds, the ROM doesn't react on the volume rockers, they seem to be deactivated at some point..

Okay, the problem has something to do with Titanium Backup Pro!
Make sure you dont freeze HTC Media Link and Personalization!
I did it for hiding the Buttons in the App-Menu.
After rebooting my HOX+ the whole Sense Workspace was gone - nothing showed up, even after a few reboots.
Then I reactivated all freezed Applications in Titanium Backup Pro.
Now the volume rockers work proper for wakeup!
To threadstarter:
The Venom team done awesome work!
Get the ViperX+ ROM and re love your phone
just amazing!
Thanks.
