hey y'all, anyone got an idea if it's possible to play angry birds iphone/n900 game on leo!? coolest game I've seen in probably like two weeks!
Do I ask on Apple Forum if it's possible to remove the battery? No. Why? Different stuff. You must stop comparing them. Period.
In our dreams man
lol, as much as i dont like the Iphone i must admin that angry birds game is pretty fun.
In saying that there are better usefull programs on the HD2 but it does lack quality games but adding PSX emulation does add some spice though.
iphuck
I'm well aware of the fact that my leo kicks some serious apple ass, but don't anyone out there think it would be awesome to have games from this century as well? after all we do talk about the top of the line device, right!?
ABDOKRO1 told it all. Wanna iphone stuff? Buy iphone. Bought WinMo PPC? Use winmo stuff.

I don't get what is so wrong with asking if there is anything like a game/app from iphone? Alot of games are made for multiple platforms. We already have some games "ported" from iphone.
Stop with the iphone-complex
and winmo stuff means like 90's video games? don't get me wrong, I think it's an awesome solution but why oh why won't they make games like this for winmo. it's not just iphuck you know, seems to me all platforms are a lightyear ahead... think mr gates has a syndrome or something.........

It will get better with W7 i guess. Winmo is old and there are alot of different devices/hardware so it's hard to make games for them.
For now just keep looking and let us know if you find any =D

It depends what you want. Windows Mobile is by far the best business orientated platform available. THAT IS WHAT IT IS FOR!!!
If you want a game-based pretty toy then the iPhone is the phone for you. Don't buy a Land Rover and then complain that it doesn't look like a Mini Cooper.

To be fair, the HD2 is not sold as a business phone, it's sold as a multimedia phone! At least it is in my country.
basically, angry birds is a flash game to me except for two things...
1.) on the multitouch zooming on the map, and
2.) minor multitouch on one particular 'golder-egg' level (which is like a bonus unlock)
for me it doesnt seem impossable, all we need
1. permission from angry birds hq,
2. a dev willing to make the software (might be good to edit story line and add a zoomer bar instead to save time)
but one thing... whos gonna make it lol?
cheers
to be honest i back alot of people views on this thread and infact every other thread this is mentioned on, if you want iphone apps get an iphone it really is as simple as that and the only reason why regular members are becoming short and blunt with people about this is because it comes up time and time again with people moaning they have a HD2 and wanting iphone games sheesh!!!!!!!
if you dont want the phone just the apps do like i do and get an Ipod touch and that way you can have the best of both worlds lol instead of moaning.
Sorry i think i speak on behalf of most of us on here!!!!
might be a good point, but I got my hd2 for the 4,3" multitouch screen's entertainment potensial, as I work on construction sites it's not worth much to me as a buisiness phone.. but seems there are people with me on this. as far as I can tell there are ALOT of programmers on xda so I figure some people are capable of making stuff built for other platforms fit to winmo, right?
Angry Birds - Lets put the story to bed!
To save you all wondering if AB is coming to Winmo, I wrote to the devolper -
"Will Rovio ever make a Windows mobile version of Angry Birds?
I have the game on my iPhone but want it on my HD2"
Here's the reply I got back -
"Thanks for your email. Currently we have no plans on bringing Angry Birds to any Windows mobile 6.5 devices. We are looking into bringing the game to window 7 devices in the future. Unfortunately it’s very unlikely Angry Birds will be available for your HD2.
At least you can keep playing it on your iPhone "
So there you go. Straight from the horses mouth - Rovio

awwww thats sad...
thanks sweep anyway(s)
More than likely it'll just be ported by someone at one point or another. I'm noticing that more and more developers are going through the trouble of porting iPhone apps to Windows Mobile. Funny because it shows the iphone developers all the money they lost out on becuase someone released it for free lol.
Plus if it brings any comfort, there are already developers that have had donations and equipment BOUGHT for them to port WM7 onto the HD2. Sooner or later Windows Mobile 7 will be on the HD2. Dunno how great it'll work on it but at least people can start saying "someone is getting WM7 onto the HD2".
Future will be better
I understand why people see games on other phones and want it on ours. I wish I had the time to port over some of those games myself. Well there is no angry birds but if you look in this forum there is 2 short SuperMariobros games. One of them I made Mario have a gun where he can shoot goombas and koopas. Sorry I dont have the time nessary to make longer games but at least we have something they dont have SuperMario with a gun. Hopefully in the future I have more time. Here is the link to SuperMarioGunHD2

Hey guys
After experiencing Android Gingerbread on Xperia Arc S and Windows Phone 7.5 on HTC Radar,I've decided to sell my iPhone and go with another OS.
I'm pretty much torn between Galaxy Nexus and HTC Titan. After watching/reading reviews,I still can't decide.
Of course Nexus has a better screen, more customizable OS but on the other hand,Titan has a better camera and I kinda adore the WP7 UI.It's butter smooth
The prices of both phones are roughly the same in where I live.
Thoughts ?
Go for it, I have no regrets.
You mean Titan right ?
My wife's had a Windows Phone (Samsung Focus) since the release and absolutely loves it. I have an 3GS and recently switched over to an Android phone (Atrix 2 running 2.3.5), but I ended up returning the phone and going back to using my old iphone. Android has a ton of cool capabilities, but it's like running linux, the possibilities are endless, but you spend a lot more time tinkering than doing. There's also no cohesive hub for connecting up to your PC and syncing music/videos/pictures, you have a run a number of extra utilities.
The pitfall of Windows Phone is that not enough people use it, so isn't the developer support, so there aren't as many big apps, so not as many people use it.
My big sticking point is that the makers of my motorcycle helmet cam don't have any immediate plans to develop a WP7 version of their remote viewfinder app. Best thing to do is install the Zune software on your PC and browse the marketplace; if the apps are there to let you do what you need to, WP7 (7.5) is pretty badass in integrating between your PC and your Xbox and it feels a lot more polished than the Android or Iphone interfaces.

Thanks
Yep the only thing I worry about WP7 is the apps but I searched the market place and I found my essential apps such as Twitter and some games.
twitter and facebook also is built in to the messaging hub, not to say that the app doesn't have extra functions.
After owning Android and WM7 phones I would go with WM7 if I were to stray from my iPhone. I just ordered a Titan with Mango. Giving it another go! I have yet to read a bad review on the Titan or Mango.
I know everybody talks about the customization of Android but honestly, that gets old after awhile. At the end of the day I just want a reliable working device.

I have 1 of each (Nexus & Titan), and if you made me have to decide I would have to go with Nexus/Android.
I have an iPhone 4s as well, it's back in it's box.
Can I installed Anroid on Nokia Lumia 800???? as windows 7 donot have nothing good in it....and the only connectivity tool is Zune :S which is useless
I cannot copy my messages from my lumia 800 to my pc, i cannot installed anything in it through my pc... guys please help!!!!!!!!
Zune is useless? Works for me.
Sure your not just trolling? hmm?
Maybe next time you should inform yourself before buying a smartphone.
And no there is no Android for the Lumia 800, and even if there were it would
be slow as hell Android is to power hungry for the Lumia 800.
If you really want a Android phone sell your Lumia 800 and buy an Android phone
there are enough options.
You could have used the search. Or your scrollwheel. It's currently not possible to install Android on the Lumias. But since we recently discovered that some Lumia 800s have been shipped with unlocked Bootloaders it might be possible to port Android to our devices. But I don't think this will happen in the next few weeks...

why would u put android on a lumia thats stupid !
if u want android buy a android phone the w7 operating system is so sexy why any 1 want to is stupid.
Go away, troll.
I don´t think he is a troll
because he is not alone. There are a lot of people who ask the same thing.
And android would not be slow on the lumia because it worked good on the HD2 and the lumia 800 has a bether hardware.
Android is not bad for people who like to tinker.
WP7 ist good for guys who just want to phone but if I buy a Smartphone i want to use its full potential.
The only reason for me to buy the Lumia 800 is its Design!
(reason enough to buy it )
And please don´t tell anyone WP7 has no disadvantages.
Maybe WP8 will make me happy but its not even shure if we will get it!
And think about that, this is the Lumia 800 thread and not the WP thread, so don´t call anyone troll without reason!!!
I am very optimistic to see android on my lumia next year.
I share his view.
I used an android phone but it died and tried window phone.
The stuff I like:
Messaging is very fast and smooth with no delay.
Battery life is really long and can last up to about 2 days on standby.
The stuff I miss that android have are:
No swype
Cannot stream movie online with the whole adobe flash
Can only open jpeg picture. Cannot even open png, gif, etc which is a disappointment.
Video file need to be the right format to play.
Cannot access LAN share folder of PC in the house.
Web browser crashing when viewing animated gif file or even long image strip.
Direct connection to PC and copy and paste with mem. card.
Music player, you can tap where you want it to play while WM have to hold down the forward button.
Not in a situation where I can freely change phone either. Oh well :|
It's like trying to put IOS on android, makes no sense, the next time you want android, buy a cell phone with native android.

it's not even remotely the same thing, android is actually portable to lumia, because all the source code is available, also the n9 allready runs android and it shares same display panel as lumia, and some of the samsung android phones have same cpu, so lot of work is allready done.
It's just matter that someone starts to port android to lumia, i would love that because android is way much better os than wp7, the reason i got lumia is just like someone said the really nice design.

Re-read the original post. Plenty of reason to call troll.
Although much of the with has been "done" for the phone, the main problem that remains is the bootloader. Without access to it, the bootloader will prevent any modification to the phone. I would personally like to see Android as well because I have a 710 to try out wp7. I am not finding wp7 sufficient for my needs which is sad since I only use my phone for email and productivity.
Sent from my SGH-I777 using XDA
I hope no one is ever able to run Android on these devices. Tired of people asking.
Anyone who says "Android is better than WP7" has no idea what they are talking about.
WP7 might be more limited in what it can do but the user experience is a million times better and it performs much better.
With Android you end up buying a phone based on specs. With WP7 and iOS you buy the phone for what it will actually do for you, specs are fairly irrelevant.

usually before you buy a phone, a car, a tv, etc you inform yourself about it
there were numerous reports about Windows Phones disadvantages, i can`t understand how you missed them
i dont have anyting of value to add, but i LOVE the Lumia designs but also love my android. wp7 is slick and good but a bit limited it seems, to me at least.
I dont fully understand the tech side tho i have flashed a few roms, but if a dead(bricked) phone can be rejuvenated with android how can it not be ported or flashed on to the lumia.
I know its the bootloader, but i am curious as to how with all the geniuses on here and many other forums and sites how this is not bypassable?
I respectfully request a small explanation.
Just Buy Nokia N9 with MeeGo. This same design as Lumia 800, and Linux on the board.
Mayby instaling Android could be possible, but it does not have any sense.
I have android 4.1 installed on my Nokia N9.
But there's not really any sense, it just looks very nice when you have dual boot on a mobile phone
i have read you can flash and dual boot android on the n9 but its not like you can just go buy one. i have never seen one around here or on sale at all. I dont think they were ever offered in canada and i have seen that they cost 600 dollars or more to buy outright without a contract.
i guess i am outta luck.
I bought a new Lumia 920 yesterday and after one day im loving it. The lumia is not my first Windows Phone device. I previously had an HD2 with WP7, HD7 with 7.5 also a Samsung Focus Flash. I always liked the look of WP but could never stick around with it because lack of features (multitasking, front cam, lack of quality apps.)
So far im really enjoying the phone, its one of the best i have owned and i have owned every major OS and flagship phone in the last 5 yrs. The camera easily beats my old 4S and One X for best camera i have had on a phone and i really love the build quilty and weight to the phone.
The only problem I have with the phone is the same one that has been repeated over and over...Apps. While I have pretty much found replacements for the main ones i use on my Galaxy Nexus, there are others I miss. Namely Instagram (great camera like this needs instagram.) And all my google apps. Im a hardcore google user, from mail to G+. i have a shortcut for G+ pinned to my start screen but its not the same.
Pros:
Great Camera
Great Screen and Sensetivity
Good Sound
WP is coming along nicely
Cons:
Google Apps (For Me)
While i have returned every Windows Phone i have had in the past I plan on sticking with the Lumia and see what comes of Windows Phone.
I was also happy with my Purchase experiance at my local AT&T store. I had my usual rep help me who has sold me and took returns of phones i have bought over the years and he was actually pretty good and knew a lot about the 920. I was also happy to receive my wireless charger because i believe i read somewhere that they were sold out.
I, too, just got a Lumia 920 alongside my Galaxy S 3. I like it a lot.
The integration with my work Outlook and Lync is top-notch.
The Skydrive integration is a lot nicer than the detached feeling I get with Google Drive.
In my tests so far, the camera is stellar! I am truly impressed with the clarity of photos even in a dark room.
I echo the lack of Google Apps. The lack of a native Google Music, most notably. Also, I've been an OLED screen user going on about 4 years now (ever since the Zune HD) so the lack of rich blacks on this screen is taking some getting used to, but that's not that big of a deal.
Will it help? I doubt it but here's a petition you can sign to get Google to add their popular apps to Windows Phone.
http://www.change.org/petitions/goo...utm_medium=facebook&utm_source=share_petition
I've had the phone for a day now as well and my verdict is exactly the same. It's a shame there's no native support for Google Apps, specifically Google Talk and Google Voice, apps I use a lot. The transition will be hard but I think it'll be worthwhile.
This is one of the device i am aiming, one thing bothered me is the battery life.
Google, Apple and Microsoft are all competitors. The best thing you can do is stick to standards. You can get a domain and email package for a small fee and be totally independent of all these petty morons.

MetroTalk is a great app for Google Voice. Worth a buck or so.
I have it on good authority that Instagram is going to be baked into the OS at some stage and I hope it's true, even though I currently no longer have a WP.

My battery life is stellar. It's as good as the One X and S3 I previously owned. The only other device I've owned with better battery life is the Note 2.
Gona get flamed... Here
Yes the hardware is howsome
Yes WP8 seems great and I feel it become soon the leading OS somehow a very credible alternative.
But I feel sad it is totally in locked in syndrome
Got it for few bucks but locked to orange FR
No carrier unlock joy so far... Not big deal for me as I got it mainly for development toying... Left windows phone 6 and currently on android and thought it be open I mean just develop and debug on device directly... But nop... Need to have good HW and worth hyper-v conflict with virtual box on my main machine .... Debug on a VM machine.. Yea right...
I don't under that one that buy phone cannot put what he/she wish on it(not taking pirate soft here) but start develop and debug on device directly...and when ready publish.. Instead need to pay $99 that is not the issue really it's just to be forced to do it is not right IMO...
This stuff needs get out of jail else its just be a nice phone and camera plus nice music player nothing as special and open as android is right now. BTW no decent dlna for the moment.

android system, wp system, ios system, three systems like Android System because it is Android system is open source.
Android is amazing for ppl know their way around computer, especially *nix systems. It is for us to flash, brick and salvage.
WP is great for day to day use including some light load Office work. It is essentially more a work related phone.
Now iOS really sucks other than it's glorious UI. Even that is no longer glorious any more. It is great for a street phone. I supported my wife for getting a 5s for the sake of that plus the existence of the finger print sensor. My experience is that it's more for kids and general inexperienced public who just need things to work and look great.
My choice would be having an android system to play with, use my WP for day to day and throw my iOS device to my 3 year old so he can stop bothering me.
