Hi all, has anyone been able to get a custom rom that has ArcSoft installed on it to send out MMS messages? I have been running ryans rom for a few months and just recently had to send out a MMS. I thought this crap was fixed by now.
Needless to say the recipient didn't get the MMS and then I tried to email to a gmail account via mms and same deal nothing showed up.
Guys after a crack load of reading old threads I finally found the fix. This is the fix for sprint users.

use Remove PictureMail & Arcsoft.cab (then reboot)
Then install the JD Arcsoft 5.2.1.22.cab. Now when you go into your SMS you will not see MMS but instead you will see Picture Mail. I had to adjust nothing else as this solution enabled me to send pictures no problem.

OK I have obviously the ATP. I installed Merdins3.0 Rom fresh and removed Sprint Picture Mail from the list. Then installed Alltel Arcsoft MMS 5.0.69.44 with success and i can now send picture messages but i cannot recive them. I have tried the following:
- Net always connected (Nothing)
- Redide network connection (nothing)
- Resetup pic server conenction (Made it work to send)
- Called alltel and had even Teir 2 resetup on their end etc still no recive.
It seeems the phone knows there a mms coming in but its hidden somewhere. If i sent a mms from antoher phpone my phone turns on and lights up like its going to download the message but nothing shows and nothing is anywhere.

Oh and yes it used to work on stock alltel rom!
Help on MMS VZW; After I installed: Arcsoft Verizon MMS 5.0.69.44, a message comes up: "THis might not display because this is for an older version". I have tried to send a low res picture, and it bounces back saying "message delivery failed;or message recept failed" The person I sent it to, doesnt get the picture. I then tried GC Acrsoft MMS 5.031.25 & GC VZW Arcsoft MMS 5.0.70.24. Still no good, ”same messige delivery reject” any other ideas?
so not what you want to hear, but I spent the morning fighting with this exact issue... Finally just reflashed the ROM used PHM Registry hacker dn went to HKLM/software/arcsoft/arfcsoft mms ua/config/mm1/wspheader and added a new string X-VzW-MDN with the value of my 10 digit number. now it works.
I gave up and flashed scotts, mms worked, its also loaded. Thanks for your response
so... It seems I have gotten pretty good with this MMS not working thing... I have found that installing Caulkins Arcsoft fersion (I think its 69.43 or something....) and then dialling *228 option 1 to program your phone works pretty good. Im back to rocking Boreds stripper rom and loving it again. But now I found a winMo 6.5 rom that I wanna try....
hi all, to im new to this forum, in doing some of my own research i came across the questions on the MMS for VZW, have u tried changing anything in the servers, I was gettint the same exact message until I changed the server info, then it started working instantly give that one a try. However I am having a heck of a time trying to update the rom on my VZW tp, anyone have the time to walk me through it, thanks in advance.

Ok, I have the MMS working on the phone. However the touchFlo interface does not support the new SMS/MMS. it no longer shows next messages on the interface. I have to go into the messages to see view any messages since the upgrade. is there a way to configure the touchflo to look at the mms update instead?
Have Alltel and flashed NFSFAN's WM6.5 21501 V1 TP ROM onto my Touch Pro. I then had no option to insert a picture into a SMS or to create a MMS.
Installed QVGA_Arcsoft_MMS_5.0.27.25 and now I have the option, but MMS messages fail to send or receive
Any thoughts?
Have you tried another rom download?
Its funny that you should post this because im having the exact same problem...what are the odds lol

I do not have the option within a conversation anymore either. However.....if you start at your inbox and select new and mms. It should work. That's been my work around.
Make sure you configure settings!!!
I had the same problem too with a different rom but to fix it, i went to messaging, pic/video options, servers, and i chose the one for my phone, Alltel MMSC.

Just FYI I just installed Arcsoft MMS v5.0.82.79 and it works perfectly with my Touch Pro. No lag in sending or receiving. I tested sending to my wife's phone and she received it within 15 seconds. Same for her sending MMS to my phone. I'm running the 102 version of NFSFAN's 6.5 ROM. Hope this helps!
make sure the mms has the right internet connection selected for connect via in the server settings

If you get the Arcsoft MMS v5.0.82.79 CAB from PPCGeeks forum it has all of the settings built in....I think. I just installed it and didn't have to do any additional tweaking. It just works great!

Not sure anyone having same problem as me when receiving MMS, even if you send a MMS to yourself, you will receive 2 MMS messages?

I know what is the problem as I tried sending a MMS to myself using the default messaging client and I only received 1 MMS in return. When I view in Handcent SMS app, it also show one MMS instead of two MMS.
Guess the problem lies on the latest version of Handcent SMS app.
hello everybody i need some help with two issues that have tested my patience and now im at breaking point.
1) everytime my text message is too long it becomes a MMS i have data runnning and everything but the MMS or text it wont go through neither does picture messaging or any other time of MMS it just says downloading but it doesnt go beyond that.
2) my school has poor service. now if i send a text message the vibrant tells me message has failed. which is fine. but is there a way where the message keeps on trying to send till it catches a signal by itself instead of me goign back and forth trying to find a signal and resending the text again and again and again and again. similar to like BB and nokia. where they phone keeps trying to send.
im really frustrated with these things if i could get any help i would be really greatful

You should download the AOSP MMS.apk and flash it through CWM to replace the MMS.apk that comes with Trigger. That should fix the mms not sending issue. If that doesn't help, download GO! SMS from the market and send the MMS through that app and that should clear up network errors and your mms should go through.

for your first issue it is a phone number format issue. remove the +1 and - from all your numbers. There is an app in the market that will do this, but I have forgotten the name.
for you second issue there is no auto retry on android. This is something your just going to have to deal with. If I were you I would not load any other SMS apps as I have seen some issues with my messages going to wrong people after swapping out one MMS.APK for another. just retry your message manually and hopefully google will add auto resend one day.
