Hi Guys,
I am new. I forget my password in my touch dual therefore I reset phone to default settings. Afher then, when I set up my phone I have no signal or too low (but before reset phone work normal with good signal but I am not sure with provider- may be was different). I find xda web site and I try install WM 6.5 but nothig change with signal strenght and I try few of RADIO (RUU_Nike_Radio_1.71.09.01_25.75.40.02K.exe, RUU_Nike_Radio_1.65.24.36_25.94.40.06.exe) and I try use old ver. WM (installator: 2RUU_Nike_HTCASIA_AUS_1.31.710.12_Radio_Nike_1.58.21.23_signed_Ship.exe) but nothing change with signal.

since u have already tried the stock rom and hardreset and failing to restore the prob not much option r left.nevertheless try my rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=626255
and use 1.71 radio .and c if it helps

come on mate u r having a prob of not getting signal on u device and keeping that prob aside u r asking light or full ?funny..go and check ur signal first after flashing any version
I have try your engine with RUU_Nike_Radio_1.71.09.01_25.75.40.02K.exe but still problem with signal. It is possible that is phone locked for just one provider and therefore have I this problem? Some other idea?

Normally the phone picked up the signal automaticly, try to set it manual, see if that works.
You can find that under settings/personal/phone

thanks for response. I have set up my home network (T-Mobile SK) to manual settings but nothing change. I have try from my provider sollution- change band settings to manual (GSM/UMTS Service) but this settings when I define to manual (GSM) and close and afther then reopen, the settings is back to auto (? - is blank -nothing parameter). Other parameter (select your GSM/UMTS band) set up solution of my provider to UMTS 2100(this settings is still set up to UMTS 2100. I try shutdown and start- still UMTS 2100) but nothing change . Any other idea? Thanks a lot.

Only using GSM with it and I noticed the following since the beggining:
If you go to a no GSM reception area (PC room, for instance), when you step back in a full reception area, the XDA still tells you that there's no signal. Only solution to receive/make calls is to turn the phone off and on again. Apparently, the machine doesn't scan automatically for the GSM signal. I and one of my coworkers have the same problem and updating to the latest radio (3.23.01) didn't solve the problem.
Anyone has a clue or in the same situation? Don't tell me that there're only GPRS users out there !!! :?

I used to have this problem quite frequently, I suggest you upgrade to radio 4.21 which i did and the problem just disappears...you might want to try it??

i've a SX 56 (AT&T wireless) which i updated with ROM verion 3.17.03 ENG. But i have not been able to connect to the Eplus network so far. I used the bandswitch application to switch the frequency to 900/1800. Slip in a T-mobile card and it works without any issues! Has any1 been able to connect to the eplus network?! If yes (hopefully) , do let me know !

What for a device you have? Take a look at the sticker back on the device... Mus be something like PW10....
Which radio version have you installed on your device? (start -> settings -> system ->device information)
not 100% sure, but i thought that the sx56 was only for the us market with 900/1900 Mhz.
900/1900 MHz has modell number PW10B with radiostack 6.x
900/1800 MHz has modell number PW10A with radiostack 4.x or 3.x
If it is a PW10A-Modell you can try entering bootloader and setting gsm to 900/1800.
if it is a PW10B-Modell you don't have any chance to get it working with Eplus.

Hard to say, but you're right. There is no chance of changing radio version. The limitation of 900/1900 MHz networks is a hardwareproblem, so you have no possibility (maybe some soldering) to get your device working.
The device info of the system is just a name. Depending on which rom installed it will show you PW10A or PW10B. So the sticker at the back of the device says the true....
You can only get it working with the 900 MHz providers (T-Mobile and Vodafone in Germany).
A few days ago t-mobile got an offer of the MDA I for about 30 Euro with a new contract....
So if changing the provider why not getting a new device with more memory...

after upgrade i have some sound problems with the device. Device's system sounds are too low. I checked all the settings but i can not increased the sounds. Any ideas ?

I want to ask one last thing. Could anyone please describe me the differences between these autoconfigs? What are they for I am using Siemens A.30.09 for example. So which model is compatible with this rom ?

The auto configs are there to make it easier on you. If you have an O2 device, and flash it with a t-mobile rom, you can choose the 02 config settings, and your device will work with 02. If you do not choose a config setting, then the origional config settings will be used, and your device may not operate properly as a gsm/gprs device. IE, you try to access the internet, but instead of trying to connect to your service provider, your device will try to connect to Tmobile (if you used a tmo rom).

You could try setting your band frequency manually.
Enter bootloader by holding Power button and doing a soft reset (PAy Attention, that's like a hard reset. All data on your device will get lost....)
Now pressing the right button, with the little calendar printed on it (called App1 by the device). Now the device displays:

DEBUG/CALI.
GSM TURN ON
GSM TURN OFF
GSM RESET
GSM 900
GSM 1900
GSM 900/1800
GSM RFCAL
GSM NORMAL
Select the correct frequency, depending on your model.
Make a soft reset to exit bootloader....

if the former then it's the embedded software which make the gsm phone part of the himalaya device run

from my experience this rom is good not taking so mutch juce from the battery but have only one big problem is the fly mode

you have to perfom a real ROM update with HimaUpgrade Tool which can be found in the different here avaiable Roms. Just delete nb.nbf and ms.nbf (which are System and extRom), copy your new Radio-Rom to the Upgradefolder and start Upgrade; this way only the Radio Rom is being updated.
For safety reasons first watch the instructions for making a Backup and how to make ROM Update !
