New Market: 2.2.7

Just an FYI for my fellow MT4G users: a new Market has been released with fixes for WVGA displays. Info and download.
I haven't tried it yet, but I'm assuming it will work just fine.
Great find, works too
I'm still getting force closes with this one
mine was updated to 2.2.7 on its own, no problems here
mine also updated on its own. fixed the landscape mode that was driving me nuts!
Mine was updated earlier this morning when i was actually reading a post about its release!

[Q] Can't change back from FolioNotion/Cyanogenmod

Hey guys
I had Foliomod 1.4 installed and i wanted to try FolioNotion, i flashed it and it worked. Then i tried Cyanogenmod and it worked aswell, then when i wanted to try out a diffrent ROM i can't install it. I can only get as far as to: "installing update, installation aborted"
Any ideas? )))):
/mmunkn
You can try to first clear the cache, I sometimes have problems that the update wants to write a log but the cache is full. I can't remember what the name was and I'm in work so I can't check atm, I will see when I get home.

I'm afraid that didn't work. I've tried to reset to factory settings, and clear the cache. No luck so far.
Thanks anyway tho'

Hello,
At the boot, go to the recovery and make a wipe data and dalvik cache, install with adb the recovery of your new rom on the phone and install the rom.
It should be good

[Q] HTC Wildfire S CM9 problems

Hello,
So as title says, i own rooted HTC Wildfire S. I had CM7.2 and it was great, i had no problems with it at all. I decided to install CM9, which should be better, but it won't work... The problem is: The CM9 logo shines at the start, but when i try to Touch the Android to begin, the table appears with "Unfortunately, Setup Wizard has stopped.". What should i do? I tried to Wipe cache, wipe dalvik, Factory reset, nothing helped.
If someone know how to solve it, please tell me, thanks in advance.
Did u try to reflash the rom
did u added gaps
How to reflash rom?
Yes, i added gapps.
put the cm rom on youre sd card enter recovery whipe data/cash partition

Thank You very much, jiffer1991! You helped me a lot, but some issues still remain, like when i go to Settings -> Themes, then Settings has stopped, it seems to be only one problem (so far).

do you mean the theme choser?
Well, i believe it's Theme chooser, i have one Theme as an app, i think it was developed by LeWa, and the other one is in the Settings as an default option. LeWa's Theme app is working fine.

[Q] After installing Kernel, its freezing and restarting

Hey guys, last week I installed MROM (http://www.montuori.net/android-mrom/atrix-mrom/) and had been using it without having any problem, I loved it. Yesterday, I heard a kernel that can be good for battery life so I wanted to install it. (http://www.montuori.net/android-mrom/atrix-kernels/ sv build) I installed it and first boot took about 10+ mins. but after first reboot it was normal. And I started having problems like it freezes and the phone shut down itself. sometimes restarts itself. and when using an application (like facebook, dolphin browser, games etc.), it suddenly closes the application.
I also tried to install other kernels but it gives me an error when I try to install it (installation aborted error) . how can I go back to my first MROM times? but I don't want to lose any data in my phone like my applications and settings. How can I do it? Can anybody give me some advice?
Also, what's that MROM update.zip? Is there anybody who knows it? If I install it, does it solve the problem that I'm having?
If I install MROM again, does it delete the apps in my phone? Its an emergency guys, I can't use my phone normally. Thanks in advance.
Happy new year!!
Wipe cache & dalvik cache, then reinstall mrom. Your apps, etc should be unaffected.

I still can't install even MROM. gives an error, exactly like;
--Installing: /sdcard/atrix-MROM-20121111.zip
Finding update package...
Openin update package...
E:Can't open /sdcard/atrix-MROM-20121111.zip
(bad)
Installation aborted.--
I'm about to lose my mind. :/
you could try to re-install MROM and see where this gets you - do not wipe any data/system when installing and you should have everything still on your phone.
IF that fails to solve problem you could try and use Titanium back up to save YOUR apps (not system apps) and then do a full wipe of your phone and re-install MROM
I'm around for a bit so will check on how you're doing
good luck
when i try to reinstall, it gives me the same error. now im going to back up my all apps and after that factory reset and finally will try to reinstall mrom. I'll write when I do this. thanks
I did everything right, wiped all data cache and tried to reinstall mrom but it gives me the same error :/

what happens when you turn on phone?
are you able to install another rom?
It might be an idea to download a fresh copy of MROM and see if that helps?
also, after putting the new rom on the phone but before installing go to 'mounts and storage' (in the CWM menu list) and format the following 'pre-install, system, osh, data and cache'
I hope that helps.

glad that you got somewhere, If i were you I might try and repeat the steps you used with success (install cm 7.2) and then just add what google apps you need separately and see where that takes you.

I thought, If I try all these steps from the begining, maybe it'd be successful (from stock rom!!) so that I installed back my stock rom with RSD Lite. and rooted, unlocked, installed CWM Recovery. and I have just tried to install MROM but it's still giving me the same error. I really can't understand why... It was like my first day of my phone, I did every single step from the begining, but still the same error. omg
Have you tried re-downloading mrom?

Whatsapp and Instagram not working after ICS update

Hello!
So, I updated my GT-P7500 yesterday to the ICS stock version. Since then I haven't been able to use whatsapp, nor instagram.
I've tried reinstalling both apps, to no avail. I've also performed a factory reset, to see if it would get the apps working again... everything else works fine on 3G.
By the way, I can't really test to see if those apps will work on wifi.

Uninstall both apps...
Boot to recovery and wipe cache... and then reboot..
Reinstall apps... if that doesn't work...
Uninstall the apps..
Then go into you're app manager and uninstall the playstore updates( do it on both the playstore apps listed.. if you have two )..Do not uninstall the apps themselves. Since it sounds like you're not rooted. This shouldn't be an issue, but I had to put it out there.. for you're safety..
After that..boot back to recovery and wipe cache... reboot..
Reinstall apps...... let me know what's up..

So, I'm rooted.
Forgot to add that to the topic, but I've tried uninstalling the apps and wiping the cache...
Just tried uninstalling the updates on the playstore and cleaning the cache, and it still didn't fix the issue.

Since you're rooted... do you have a custom recovery( cwm or TWRP )
If so wipe dalvik with the cache wipe and see what happens..
I'll look around for a better solution

I've noticed youtube app is not working as well.
I can tether the connection and open youtube normally on my laptop, though...

Sorry for the late reply... but from what I can tell.. this is a known or atleast consistent problem with other users... I haven't seen any fixes, but you might try an older version of the apps and see what happens..
Good Luck

Hey Gil!
I've managed to solve the issue, so I will post here my solution. If anyone facing that problem step by this thread, he or she might have a chance solving it.
I had given up solving it, and downloaded CyanogenMod 10.1...
I did a factory reset on my tablet, and tried to flash the cm through cwm... For some reason it didn't work, it gave me an error.
Kinda pissed, I decided to try once more to solve my issue or give up and go for another rom, such as gambarou.
I re-flashed the stock ICS using odin.
Booted and voilà, everything worked!
Thanks for your help, Gil! =]

That's great... and thanks for posting the answer..
I must ask.. did you re-download the stock ICS file.. if so.. the first might have been a bad dl... if not.. then I guess during the first flash, something went sideways..
either way.. glad you're up and running at full speed..
