Screen unresponsive - Hero, G2 Touch Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am using Villain 5.22. It was really fast and I was playing around by scrolling the programs up and down as fast as I could when suddenly the screen stops. Now, the bottom part of the screen is not responding at all but the middle and upper part is responding badly. I reboot the phone, it responded as always then after about 1-2 mins it started again.
Does this mean I overclocked the phone? Is there any way I could fix this? I have managed to downgrade to the original ROM but the effect is still the same.

Screen waking up by itself

I was just sitting on the couch, and the screen on my phone came on by itself. Not to the lock screen or anything, but the screen looks like its on its dimmest setting (barely on at all) and the search button at the bottom is very dimly lit up. Happened twice in the past 20 minutes...anyone else? I'm going to reboot and see what's up.
Are you using a third party sms app? There's a usually a setting that wakes the phone when a text is received.
I've used Handcent without any problems so far. But to be clear, this 'waking up' of the screen is NOT like when you press the button to turn on your phone. When I noticed the problem the screen was so dim that if you're not in a darkened room you probably wouldn't even notice, it's very faint and the only other thing that was lit up was the 'search' button and it too was very dim. At first I thought it was just the reflection of the tv across my phone screen thats how dim the screen was, but it was definitely on and no buttons being pushed would completely wake it up until I pushed the power button to turn on the screen completely like normal. Weird....but after a reboot I didn't see it do it again. I'm wondering if others might not be having this issue and not even have noticed, thus poor battery life for some people?
This happened to me once before. A rebooted fixed the issue for me too.

Have you used one of the temp roots. I had the same problem when I used one of them and when I restarted the phone it seemed to clear up the issue. I have noticed that powering of the screen while its in 3D mode can cause weird issues too sometimes.
Strange. No this is a stock device I haven't tried the temp root yet. Since the reboot I've been watching it closely and it seems to be fine. I suppose this thread should have been posted in with the one already discussing bugs, but I wasn't sure. Thanks for your kind replies!

Notice weird behavior when battery gets low?

Anyone else notice their NT freaks out around 9% battery left?
Usually happens while I'm watching movies on mxplayer... I get the 10% warning message... then about 3 min later.. the zoom start acting up.. randomly zooming in and out.. and min later the rewind/ff starts going back and forth.
If I hit the "n" to go back to the file list, it starts randomly opening diff movie files.
If I go back to the launcher, it starts opening apps.
It's like the touchscreen starts touching itself when the battery gets low. Goes away after recharge until I hit 9% again.
Yeah, I was wondering if anyone else noticed this.
When the battery is really low, it's like the NT has a mind of its own. Not just with movies, I notice if I'm reading a book and it gets critically low, the pages will suddenly start flipping by themselves. Sometimes the browser opens, and random text will actually start typing itself in the URL bar, etc. Really weird stuff.
At first I actually wondered if I had some sort of remote exploit on my NT, until I noticed the pattern that it only happens with extremely low power.
Yes I have noticed the same thing. It appears to be a touch screen issue. I thought for sure at first it was my screen cover but no. What keyboard are you guys using? I have swype. Trying to trouble shoot it.

[Q] Sreen freeze? hardware or software problem?

Hi there to everyone, I broke only the glass on my screen couple of weeks ago (it felt face down from about half a meter, thats stupid) and I change only the glass my self but since then i have a problem with the screen like: if I press a bit harder anywhere on the screen for about 2 sec the screen became irresponsible and also the back and menu buttons, home and power button work normal. If I press the home button it react as it should, it goes to home screen, so it's just the screen frozen on touch and I have to lock and unlock the phone to go to normal. On daily use it's not such a big problem as i don't press the screen too hard, the problem mostly occurs when playing games.
I would try a hard reset but I not rooted as I use some apps that don't work if I'm rooted and I can't save all my settings, saves and apps and personally I hate to reinstall everything back again.
I'm thinking this is a hardware problem but why it goes to normal only after lock/unlock procedure and i also find on a forum that this can be from the screen protector. It's something similar with the phone in this video the difference being that mine it freezing and that it moving by itself. youtube.com/watch?v=isBDKgxB5vs
Did anyone also experience this?
PS. I sorry for my english as it's not my own language but I'm trying to make my self clear as best as i can, Thank you

Install a new screen.

After installing just a new glass screen my phone has been acting weird. Every once in a while it will freeze up and do nothing, the notifications still running like battery animation and signal but the screen won't respond. I can hit the home button to return to my home screen and after a few seconds it starts responding to my input again. Just wondering if anybody else has experienced something like this. I have switched roms, wiped all kinda ways and factory reset but it still happens from time to time. I might have screwed something up while changing the screen. Any kind of help would be appreciated, thank you.

Question [Solved] Bootloop noticing after MIUI 14 Update

Firstly I wanted to clarify one thing that my phone worked okay after the update. I didn't realise it has updated until after a boot loop.
Just FYI The camera in my phone have been crashing randomly when taking pics and the pics weren't having the full resolution. It was 1280x720. This wasn't an issue for me and I ignored it for like 3-4 months.
So my redmi note 10 have had some random reboot issues lately which i didn't give much attention to. It wasn't frequent just rare random reboots. Few days back I noticed my phone rebooting while in use and it started to loop for a few times and when it loaded into lockscreen right after unlocking, the power button started to press automatically triggering the power option screen and then the emergency calls as well. It stopped after a few taps on the power button.
A day or two later it rebooted once again while the recorder was on and and this time it boot looped a few times and showed the lockscreen and crashed booting back once again. A few tries after that it booted up and I was able to use it for another day.
The very next day, it did the same. Started to boot and loop once again. But this time when the battery is sufficient enough or the phones cool and haven't been used for a while, it boots into lockscreen but freezes and crashes. At one occasion, it stayed just a few more seconds long enough to open the passcode screen but crashes before I could type anything. Then it loops once again and before even reaching the lockscreen, boots back into MI Android Powered screen right after the three dots blinking page. And randomly it boots into lockscreen as well. But once the battery is down or the phone is heated enough, it barely goes into lockscreen.
Booting into safe mode also shows the same. It sometimes boots into lockscreen but doesn't show the 'safe mode' text in the bottom.
Right now when I had kept my phone off for a while it booted into lockscreen twice and the screen dims immediately before freezing and crashing.
The third time it just went back to the MI Android powered logo right after the three dots blinking screen.
Guys please let me know do you think this is a hardware issue or a corrupt software update?
I know software update issue can cause bootloop but does it reach till the lockscreen? My phone consistently gets into the lockscreen when the battery is sufficient or the phones cool enough.
What last update did you perform?

MIUI 14 which i didn't even realise until I checked the settings app one day after a boot issue
What version do you have?
For me see screenshot, works fine!
Backup your data and clean flash with Mi Flash Tool, you can then exclude any software problem
This issue have been resolved.
The issue was the CPU couldn't handle the heat once the device turned on and would reboot right after reaching the lockscreen and loops.
Thank you for all your suggestions, though.

Hey, my mi 10 5g has similar symptoms - random restarts + random switch on power button without pressing it...
