It does work flawlessly with touchscreen!
It does not support WVGA and I do not know it it ever will.
I use it in combination with WVGAFIX3 (WVGA VGA SQVGA switch support). I do know there's a WVGAFIX4 too and IMO it supports landscape mode too. Do a search here on xda to find these fine apps (if you do not want to see ugly borders).

This Turbo Invaders is not different. The only difference is that the original is provided in an executable rather than in a cabinet and you do not need 250 clickpoints on ClickPayGo.com 1st before anyone is able to download it for free... I had another source than ClickPay and found it on my HD when a friend asked me if I had the cab. I totally forgot about this game (obtained in 2004).

When on holiday while carrying the phone but not a Laptop/PC this game can not be installed, because it needs ActiveSync to install. I am someone who is not always carrying a LapTop or Personal Computer under my ARM that is one of the reasons I prefer *.cab's.
Since day one I prefer *.cab files over *.exe files. It is not that I hate ActiveSync or something it's just that I love the User Customization that many (xda cooks and) ROMs support nowadays. Therefore ( luckily ) quite some time ago I've extracted the *.cab
Plus not everyone in this world is lucky enough to have the money to obtain both a Personal Computer or Laptop (or both/several) AND a HTC phone!!!
Though if for some reason you find it not appropriate to put it up here .. I'll happily remove it... ,

I just wondered if there was something different, as you didn't explain that you'd put it in a cab file. I too prefer cab files to any other format (whether ActiveSync installs or just a zipped exe & assoc files.) In fact, I keep all my cab files on my storage card - I love them THAT much

To install copy Splash1.nb & 2.nb to your windows folder on your pda
then copy the cab file also on there.. ( I stuck it in my documents).. then file explore to my documents and run the cab file.. thats it.. have a look by doing a reset

Just thought i´d share my Todayscreen as well.
Adapted it so well, that i have removed the Start menu,
it no longer fills any special usable function.

It works, looks better, and does just one thing. Checks the weather
And besides, it gets the weatherstats from www.weather.com.
Journalbar does not, my city is not even there!
And the weather was almost always wrong on journalbar,
even when it´s the right city

What kind of software can do editing? I used ACDSEE, the image was not perfect... Something weird is i cant open the image supplied by cdrskull... (

That depends, i overclock it when playing supernintendo game roms.
Makes a +5 to +20 frames per second increase, depending on game 8)
When i overclock it and play at full processor speed, i can play for about 3 hours. Then it will reset if i don´t recharge...
So, playing 1 and a halv hour, will have haft the batterytime left.
Altough, when i downclock it to 100Mhz, it lasts for another 2 days on half
the batterytime...
Skenliv....at last I've found another WeatherPanel user! It's the best program (and it looks very nice sat on the today screen).
Did you try using the todayplus program which also had weather?

This program allow you to change screen resolution.
Program designed mostly for devices with wide screens - 800x480 or 400x240.
(Toshiba G900, SE Xperia X1, HTC Touch HD, HTC MAX 4G)
So if game or program don't work in wide mode you can try it in normal VGA/QVGA mode. Probably it will work.
Installation:
*Copy CAB files to device
*Install cab file
*Do soft reset
*Now you can see WVGAFIX4 in Programs.
Features:
*WVGA VGA SQVGA switch support
*WQVGA QVGA SQQVGA switch support
*You have black unused screen area on screen - no stretching performed.
Supported devices:
*Most devices with WM50, WM60, WM61, WM65
Limitations:
*You shouldn't rotate screen if not-original video mode applied.
*If you want use WVGAFIX4 in landscape mode, you should rotate screen in the right side, otherwise you will have touchscreen decalibration.
You should determine "good" side by experimental way.

no. it can only decrease resolution up to 480x480 for you. don't know if you need it....

When I start a VGA game, it displays well but with some black screen left on the top and at the bottom. With this I can stretch such apps to the whole screen?

I haven't tried a bitmap yet, but I found two bugs allready:
On my TD2 when I slide on the topmost part of the screen it does not change the speed. It changes the direction of the screen. And if I scroll again on the same area then the app exits since the hotspots have changed...
Other than that, cool...

Sure. I'm a noob, but I will try this answer:
in file manager, when you are on the program name, select copy
Then go file explorer,(click up on bottom left till you see the windows directory) open windows, start, then program, and then
Click windows, start menu, programs, and then menu and paste (to paste the shortcut on that menu.
That's how I changed and removed all the crap that originally came on my Fuze.
(and I really do still consider myself a noob on my ppc.)

The . Cab is approximately 5.5 MB in size.
Game idea:
There are five difficulty levels with 12 levels to choose from. In each level your task is to bring the UFO to the middle of the board.
Any object can be moved in all 4 directions. The only rule: They'll fly until they hit another object. Moves into free space are therefore not allowed. That sounds simple, but it is not ...
Technology:
The game is based on OpenGL and has therefore very smooth animation and effects. The intro is realized as a so-called motion comic and there's an atmospheric soundtrack. Some screenshots can be found below.

Installation:
Simply download the cab file and copy it to your device. Then tap it and follow the instructions. The best the game is installed directly on the device, but an installation on the memory card is also possible (albeit slower).
Compatibility / Troubleshooting:
The game was originally developed for the HD2. Other devices (such as the HD) should of course be supported, but here I cannot promise anything (just try it!).
On older devices the game will probably not run due to missing OpenGL support.
If the game does not start, crashes or freezes a soft reset should help.
Updates
Version 1.1 is now (2nd of February 2010) online. It fixes some bugs with the levels as well as other minor things.

Well the game game was designed for the HD2. But I've heard from many people, that it works fine on the HD as well.
Maybe you have something going on in the background?
Or a strange ROM on your phone?
Or it just needs a soft-reset?
One thing you can try is to turn off sound (music and effects). There seems to be a little bug in there...

Works for devices without 3D acceleration/drivers unlike the latest HTC ?
Did you actually visit the original site?
I have a Topaz WVGA (HTC Diamond 2) and when I turn off ground view it runs nearly smoothly.
I didn't even set Glyph Cache from 8192 MB to 16384 MB yet.
IMO 3D accelleration is currently only enabled for the PC version.
The latest version compiled is the one for the HTC Diamond and this isn't one of the 'latest' phones... so, give this cab a try!

I tried this on my htc hd2 but couldn't get it to work properly. It loads, but I couldn't fly it and it crashed a lot. I tried with the chainfire 3d patch for the hd2 and without, and without the patch worked slightly smoother. It's too bad, this looked really cool.
