sync all accounts after new rom - Hero, G2 Touch Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any way of get all the sync accounts (exchange, facebook, google..) after you've done a flash with new rom. Any app that you can store your settings so this can activate it all, so you don't have to pass all the wizards to set up all accounts every time.

[Help] Preventing Google account from syncing e-mail and contact

This has been a bit frustrating.
When you go through set-up, it gives you the option of adding a Google account which is necessary for using Market. But it also syncs your e-mail into the Gmail app and syncs your contacts. I don't want either of those because my Exchange has both contacts and I want to use the HTC mail widget for my Gmail.
I have tried various ways to prevent this from happening, but all have failed.
1. I went through set-up connecting to wifi and adding my Gmail. Then I went to options and removed syncing. But my e-mail and contacts are still in the Gmail app.
2. I did not connect to wifi so that I can first go to options and removing syncing, but that didn't help.
3. I created another generic gmail account just so I can use it for market. However, now that account is connected to my GTalk app instead of my normal account.
So here is my goal:
Use my everyday Gmail with GoogleTalk app, but without it syncing my Gmail contacts or my e-mail with the Gmail app.
Is there any way to do this? Am I missing something? Can you go to the syncing options without actually setuping the Google account first?
Thanks for the help.
Also, while we are on the topic:
What is the main difference between the two? I keep reading online that the Gmail app is supposed to be Push e-mail, but I have also read just as many posts saying it doesn't work or it doesn't do that.
I figured out a solution:
1. Go through set-up and connect to Wi-Fi, but do not set-up a Google account. Skip it.
2. Go to Settings>Syncing>Checking Auto-Sync and Sync in Background
3. Settings>Add Account>Google Account
And here is where you need some fast fingers...
4. Settings>Check Sync in Background and Auto-Sync and quickly click on Google Account you just set-up and uncheck Sync Contacts, Calendars, and E-mail.
I was able to uncheck e-mail sync, but it had synced some of my contacts already. That wasn't a problem b/c I haven't set up my Outlook account so I just deleted all the Google contacts it had synced. But I was fast enough where I didn't let it sync Gmail account.
Now no e-mails in Gmail app and I can use Google Talk.

[Q] Calendar Sync

Hello
I'm having trouble getting the Calendar on the SGS2 to sync with the Calendar on google?
Now I can create an appointment, and it appears on google and the phone, but if I create it on Google the phone won't update.
The sync checkbox is ticked, and every time I create a new event on the Calendar i'm greeted by
"Google calendar cannot sync with Samsung Kies. Use My Calendar to sync with Kies"
followed by
"Local calendar cannot sync with Google calendar. You need a Google account"
So I have sync running, emails are pushing, and as I said items created on the Phone push to Google, but I can't get Google to push back to the phone, can anyone explain to me what i'm doing wrong
Many Thanks,
Luke.
I have the same problem. Have had the problem for a while on multiple roms and kernels
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
O great, so its F'd then
Maybe i'll be getting the Galaxy Nexus then.
The Calendar app can work with many calendar sources. I have it syncing it with gmail, yahoo and also the phone's internal calendar (which is also the one KIES deals with).
When you go into Calendar -> Menu -> Settings -> Calendars. You will see all the accounts that independently sync with the Calendar app. So you can have an appointment via a work's account and another appointment via your gmail account. The gmail appointment will only sync with the gmail account and the work's appointment will only sync with the work's account.
What it appears to be is that you create an appointment in gmail (on the web) and it will happily appear on the web and also on your phone soon after. Any modifications to that appointment on the phone will appear on the web.
A new appointment created on the phone is saved as a local calendar event. Go to Calendar -> Menu -> Create. You will see half-way down an option called 'Calendar' select your gmail account from this option. As long as you save the new appointment the Calendar app will use that as the default calendar.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
I have had the stock calendar working but I would highly recommend Business Calendar.
Way better in every way.

[Q] Email App Settings

I use the stock Google email app. I have a corporate exchange account, gmail, hotmail and 2 ISP based accounts set up. Problem is when i install a new ROM, and Gapps, i always have to set up ALL the accounts again.
Ti Backup works well for everything else, but i never keep my email account info.
Anyone know of any way to backup the account settings on the stock email app so they can be easily re-loaded??

[Q] S-Planner Default Calendar

Gents,
Just moved from HTC Desire & Sensation
Looking for some advice on the S-Planner!
I've got My Google account set-up but the calendar sync unchecked in accounts and sync menu as i don't use it.
I've got an exchange account which I'm trying to set as my default calendar.
I have no Samsung account set-up at all
The S-Planner is set to display the exchange one only not the Google one, but when i create anew event it automatically defaults to my Google account .... I'm lazy and don't want to have to change it to my exchange account every time ... anybody got a way to set the exchange calendar as default when creating new events??
OK .. I Sussed it out
I removed my google account, went into s-planner and it was only my exchange one showing .. So i re-added my google account and quickly un checked the calendar before it's first sync

How to Stop Automatic Re-enabling of Sync for Standard Mail App Accounts

I have multiple companies, and have 20+ e-mail addresses in the standard mail app. One of the accounts is a Hotmail account, which I forward all the other addresses to, to take advantage of the Hotmail Push feature (I used to use GMail, but HTC no longer supports GMail automatic setup in the standard mail app, so there is no Push option).
The reason I have the other accounts (aside from the Hotmail account) is so that when I receive a message, I can choose to reply to a message received by Hotmail, using the appropriate business email address/server.
I recently had to wipe my phone and set everything backup (don't ask), and now, although I have all accounts aside from the Hotmail account to NOT sync, every once in a while I see that the sync option on the other accounts re-enables itself. At first, I thought it was just an anomaly, but today I happened to see a message on my phone that said, "Syncing to platform", and then all the other mail accounts began syncing again. So, now I know that when the phone "syncs to platform", it resets all my sync settings on the mail app. This NEVER happened before. How do I stop this? I've looked at the Privacy app, and there is a choice to turn off the "Backup my settings" option, but when I go to turn this feature off, I get a warning that this will "stop backing up my Wi-fi passwords, bookmarks, other settings, and app data, and erase all copes on Google servers". Is this the feature I need to disable? If so, does this mean that my online Google account will no longer know what apps I download, and when I go into a wi-fi zone, I will always have to remember the password for each wi-fi zone?
