Swype Voice Input Button Coming Soon – Already Present On Samsung Galaxy S And Motorola Droid X
Is this true? Is there a way to get to voice input from the Swype keyboard? If so.... I can't find it.
Edit: I posted this to the wrong forum. Mods... Please move it to General or Development.
unfortunately the easiest way I found to do it is to press and hold on the input line, click "input mode" and then select the Android KB. Kind of a pain, but it works in a pinch.
I am curious as to where that info came from. Would that function have been removed on the T-Mobile version for some reason?
Its not on the Captivate either. But it IS on the Droid X.

Well, they have it for other phones so you could potentially pull it from another phone (such as the Droid X) and drop it onto yours
If you search, you will find posts by me detailing how to do it. I even fixed some colors to make it easier to use. You pull it from an EVO rom dump and overwrite the one on your phone. Simple. I don't feel like typing it out again.

We can't upload it. XDA has banned all Swype APKs as they got threatened by the Swype company. So you need to find it yourself. It's really not that hard, google will turn it up. It kind of sucks to have to download a ROM dump for a small file, but that's copyright for you. If you look hard enough, you should be able to find a copy of just the APK on Rapidshare or similar. It seems people post them frequently enough.
Ask the Swype people to quit being morons so we can share the files directly. Or to just release a version for the Vibrant. It's not like the phone can't support it, I use it all the time. They probably want TMobile to pay more for that feature or something like that. It would be nice if they would just put it in the Market and let users choose to pay for it themselves if they want to.

Posting swype is against XDA forum rules. I have used the above mentioned swype with both stock and oc4 kernals and not had issues. What I had to do was change the default keyboard to something other then swype, ADB push the new swype file, run the no yellow metamorph.
sry if this is the wrong section
I am trying to get mms working on my incredible but someone told me that it is hard coded to enter Verizon's settings, and I have to edit mms.apk to fix it.
I don't even know how to edit it so I searched to see if anyone else tried it. I found the one for evo 4g and tried that and it worked but now my stock messaging app is messed up.
I figured its because I used the one for evo 4g so I'm looking for one for the incredible, or asking for help to edit the apk myself.
sry im a noob, any help is appreciated.
nobody knows anything that will help? :/
Hey guys, got a quick question. I am new to the HTC Rezound, but not to Android in general. I am coming over from the D2G, and was wondering if I can use either Ninjamorph, or an app like it, the same way I would use it on the D2G. My goal is to change apk icons, so I can basically create the exact look and feel I want. I have read around that you can do it on a computer, but computer usage is few and far between for me.
So basically what my end goal would be is to find an image, download it to my phone, use some sort of app, and be able to alter the properties of the .apk file I am working with, so that I can change the icon thats displayed in my app drawer. Not sure if that makes sense.
I have tried to look around, and I haven't found anything saying whether this will or will not work on the Rezound, so if this has been posted elsewhere, I apologize, please just link me over.
Thanks for your help in advance!

I am also wondering if Ninjamorph or Metamorph work with the Rezound. I too am coming from a Motorola device, DX. There was another post on here asking about changing notification bar icons and I posted the question at the end of that thread. Hopefully someone has an answer
I had a d2g as well before upgrading to resound. I believe you can use ninjamorph/metamorph. Atleast to decompile/recompile the .apk. I have changed some .pngs in systemui.apk but what I did was extract all with rootexplorer, make my changes, zip it back together then rename the .zip to .apk. it worked like a charm.

Hi there, I'm up to end my GB-blur based ROM, and I'm lacking of this, obviously can't just borrow it from other ROM as base is not the same so, could anyone help me take this mod working? actually know it's as easy as changing sensor status, bue know about framework-res dependence and all that stuff, and it's not a mod that really is as simple as it seems...
so please, anyone who could help me make this work... it'd be just great
No one?
Ive looked before mate but I couldn't figure it out either.

I'm sure its been asked but I am having a hard time finding any details. I would like to know if it is possible to change the reject call button to say f__k you instead of reject or end call. I would also like the end call button to say something like f__k this or whatever else I think of when I'm done with a call. Can someone tell me if this is possible or if it has been done and point me in the right direction so that I can make it just for my phone? It's an HTC amaze. Thanks.

You could use virtual 10 studio to decompile the phone dialer apk. Then from there you could edit the resource pngs (If it's a .9 file make sure you keep it in that format), look for the png that represents the call reject button. Edit it to say what ever you want, then make sure you save the file with the same name as the original. After this recompile the apk and push it back to your phone with ADB.
