Hiya,
So I made the mistake of purchasing a Zagg Invisible Shield. I hate the rubbery feel of the screen AND the phone. Anyone know where I can purchase a screen protector with the exact same quality as the one that came with the TP2 as I really like its quality.
Thanks for any help
not knowing what country your from (assuming UK like me) how about this link
if you want HTC original fee to the protector then buy from HTC
http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc_item.aspx?i=179111
if your not UK then go to HTC.com and choose your country
Bear in mind that you can find better screen protectors than the stock one out there - Brando, Martin Fields etc. The HTC one was OK in my experience but it was prone to scratches - three months ant it was a goner. Brando crystal clear - better looking, better feel and not a single mark after half a year.
I agree...Invisible Shield sucks.
I bought two. I sent them both back before I got a decent one. They looked like they had been cut out with 1st graders' scissors and were ratty and frayed. Not to mention, they make everything look murky, and you can never get all the air bubbles out.
For me I bought it from here, h t t p : / / w w w. boxwave . com /accessorie s/h t c-tilt-2-screen-p rotectors_3729. htm The anti glare one as well as the case. Love both of them, this film u can see that it's there but it works like a charm. Oh and no bubbles or anything, it was worth every pennies.

Anyone know a place to get some screen protectors for my Wizard.
I am based in UK if that helps
Thanks

I have ordered Brando from http://shop.brando.com.hk/ and I`m pretty pleased, look good and protects as well...
Today my Brando
"Ultra Clear - Protector Plus"
arrived. Im very pleased with it. It fits perfectly and looks very clear. Using the stylus works almost as without a the screen protector.
Conclusion: highly recommended
Also got from Brando - except I mucked up the install and now need to clean the cover. Any ideas on how best to the clean it as it does say its washable - just not how.
Scott
Brando Rocks
I've used a Brando screen protector for about 2 years on my old Sony Clie - Excellent quality, I do think it's the best on the market.
Worth the money
Brando application problems
I ordered a Brando and it came nice and quick. It looks like a quality item, but it was a b*gger to fit. I still haven't got it right. It kept going on at an angle and wouldn't lay flat due to comin into contact with the screen surround. I had to take it off, rinse all the [email protected] off it that had got stuck whilst I was faffing around and dry it each time. It took the best part of an hour and it still has fluff under it and it still isn't in the right place.
It works perfectly though. I can't criticise the thing itself just the application and/or my ability to do it.
Ho hum. :?
Definetly Brando...Ultra Clear.
I had a couple of them that I used with my HTC Magician and they fit perfectly on the HTC Wizard.
Sorry...

I'm surprised too. I think these are the best. Fit perfectly and if installed properly you cannot even tell they are on.
I never tried the AG (Anti-Glare)
I use the C2 ones (clear) and I think they are great.
i have the AG on my jam and tried installing the C2 on my kjam last night, but its so thin i tore it

wow... that sux. i know it's thin, but didn't think that thin. actually i bought the c2 two pack and i messed up the first one too. got so dirty i didn't even want to clean it. i hate installing any type of screen protector.
i got one of these, it slips under the corner of the screen surround rather than sticks to the touch screen, seems great and robust and very cheap!

I have used the ones they sell in Ebay. They are cheap but at the same time the quality suck. I have used my MDA for 3-4 days after i had put in the protector and it has scratches all over it. Also each tap with the stylus leaves a small mark on the protector.
I am going with the Pocket PC techs windshield. I think investing 25-30 bucks for my 400 buck MDA is worth it.
Peace
anyone know of any uk sellers for the pocketpctechs or Brando ones?
A comparision of many different screen protectors
http://www.brighthand.com/default.asp?newsID=11356
take a look at this site. It gives a review of Brando, PPCtech, nushield etc.
Will help you decide
I have been using the PocketPC Techs WriteSHIELDs for about 3 years now, and I absolutely love them. Just got a wizard and immediately bought the Anti-Glare screen protectors from PPCTechs. They're fantastic. I've tried the clear ones they have, and don't like them as much. The colors might be a little better, but I've gotten really used to the "pencil on paper" feel of the stylus on the screen with the AG ones. I agree with everything they said in the article at Brighthand about them. Granted, I've never tried another brand, but these have the highest level of recommendation from me...

Agreed - the only other brand I've ever used were Martin Fields, which were also very nice. (I used those on a P900 though - different device altogether).
I've seen these on ebay - I like slimmer cases/pouches for carrying in the pocket - has anyone tried them?

I'm hoping that Beyza come out with one, I've got their Diamond one and it's perfect:
http://www.beyzacases.com/pd-htc-to...vsl16-vertical-leather-case-vintage-brown.cfm
My mates got the first one for his Touch Diamond 2 and my HTC hero doesn't fit inside it very well, too tight.
I've seen this as well - looks nice. It's a generic one though, so don't know how well it would fit. I'd much rather get a dedicated one (Beyza hopefully) though.
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/krusell-luna-pouch-extra-large-black-p19810.htm
i really doubt they would be a good fit for the hero and ive heard that the hero rubs on the inside of them resulting a smudged look on the hero
I've got one similar to the second link, bought from the same seller HERE. My Hero fits nicely inside it and delivery from Hong Kong was quick.

Do you have a white Hero and if so does that pouch stain it at all? I've tried a couple of pouches that stained mine.
no sorry - it's a black G2.
I've just received a gel case with protector from here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180415010020
Really happy with it, and the screen protector is actually really really decent (i.e. fits the whole glass screen) and applied easily with only one tiny tiny mark that I can hardly notice. Not tested over the long term, but I think I paid 30p extra over the case to get this.
yeah ive got a gel case also, the screen protector extra is a must!!
together theyre great at protecting my phone and extremely durable
only thing with that is the phone wont fit in the dock with a case like this on. nice though.
do the cases scratch the back side?
Nah it doesn't scraTch it. I've had the gel case on my hero for around 3 months now and the back is in pristine condition
this is the case i use, its the best one i have had yet, it comes with a pretty decent screen protector aswell. Its the hardest, most rigid skin i've had but its still flexible enough that it won't crack or split and it much better quality than the flexishield ones (i've tried one of those aswell). My phone takes some serious hammer and it still looks brand new after 6 months! lol...which even surprises me.
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/capdase-soft-jacket-2-xpose-htc-hero-black-p22496.htm
There is a lot to choose from on the mobile fun website. Heres one like the beyza one
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/capdase-smart-pocket-for-htc-hero-p22635.htm
The Capdase Soft Jacket 2 Xpose is great.
finally got one of these ebay "soft silicon gel" transparent cases. looks ok, feels ok... no complaints really, I think it will protect my Hero just fine and isn't bulky. only 5$ including shipping
I'm using the Zagg invisibleSHIELD. I've used this on quite many of my phones, and it's great. Protects only against scratches, but on the other side, I've never been a phonecase guy, and scratches is my main phone problem. Or I'd rather say; WAS!
Capdase Smart Pocket
I should be getting my hero at the weekend thanks to an upgrade with t-mobile and I really like the look of the Capdase smart pocket for it.
I've had a look on mobilefun (linked above) and also found another site that lists it called vinko's treasures. Neither of them seem to have it in stock.
Does anyone know anywhere that stocks these cases or of any similar pouch cases that are designed to fit the hero?

I was using a gel case up to about 2 or 3 months ago, but it started to yellow quite badly. I stopped using it, and my Hero has been fine without it.
Regards,
Dave
Why don't try something which is in good quality
I bought a case from ebay before, It is attractive because it sells in a lower price,
but seems I was unlucky, the case damage within about 2 month - loose sewing and can't fit to the charger hole
I try serveal online store, which I would highly recommend to you is PDair,
you may check this out:
http://www.pdair.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=10100000_900000_11000759
They keep the quality well and the price can be acceptable
I bought the HTC case for now. Seems to protect the phone just fine if not the best fitting case going. I've found another site that stocks the Capdase one called MobiMega (can't post links just yet) and the price works out quite cheap too. Might have to get one ordered up to compare.
Hi there
I'm new here and my English is not that good, so sorry for any mistakes I made.
I'm using a T-mobile TP2 (may be not using I just waiting for it to be delivered)
>>>>> I wondered that why there no body talking about " The Bodyguardz "
at all? Is it not good? ( cuz I just purchased 1)
All I heard is the story about the Invisibleshield but according to the pictures
shown in both websites I though that Bodyguardz is more protective because
it also protect the rear sides around the phone. In contrast, the
Invisibleshield is just on the back and front side of the phone.
Moreover, one box of the Bodyguardz has 2 set of the films in it, although
the price per box is higher.
So I just wonder that is it not good? (the Bodyguardz)
I would highly reccomend the bodyguardz skin over any other skin. i had it for my android and the texture and feel is really good. i compared it to my friends invishield and the invishield is not good at all. it makes the screeen not as responsive and it feels sqishy as opposed to bodyguardz that feels hard but not to hard.
customer service at bodyguardz is great. it also comes with to body guards. invishield only comes with one. they both have "free" lifetime replacements.
(i mean invisibleshield)
i use to promote and love zagg but after two mysterious scuff that cant be remove i decide to go with bodyguardz...they are much better plus you get 2 instead of one and shipping is much faster and much better customer service

Thanks, mate it's good to hear that!
Yes, I agree that their services is quite good.
Do you have any special techniques or tips&tricks concerning the installation process to share?
I think it's harder to install the Bodyguardz compared to Invisible shield becaus the Bodyguardz had many small rear pieces.
just few things...
be patient and the blow dryer is your friend. fyi... if you order more bodyguardz dont order the liquid. they will give you one with every order. with that said dont be scared to be generous with the liquid while applying.
You guys helped me to make my decision. I'm going to order a Bodyguardz kit. Thanx.
I also bit the bullet and ordered a Bodyguardz kit--will let you guys know how it goes.
Hi there shawndh and nuron!
Nice to have you guys on board. Hope you could share some experiences or tips & tricks
after you applied it. I'm waiting for it to arrive too and start to worried about the
installation processes.
Don't forget to let us know how it goes. : )
Cheers!

Hello everyone
Dude, my english is not very strong either lol, since we r both Thai rite, I mean Mr.what150 and I, lol. However, I hav a question.
I just hav my Invisible Shield installed on my standard HTC TP2 and I agreed that I don't really feel comfortable with it, u know, kind of rubber feel
Also, it doesn't cover the whole thing like bodyguardz, just half of the chrome part T_T. Is there any bodyguard on sell on Internet fer mai EUROPEAN standard HTC TP2? If there's any, please.
p.s. somebody says the bodyguards protection quality is not as good as Invisible Shield's ? Is that true ?
what150, mines is schedule to arrive in like September 9th because I picked the free shipping haha. From the instructional videos, it looks like keeping your hands and phone clean and using the solution is the key. For the corners and edges, they recommend using a blow dryer in 5-second intervals in order to get them sticky again if it is too wet.
Zagg for Touch Pro 2
I bought a Zagg invisibleSHIELD for the stock HTC TP2 which is what they had for my T-Mobile TP2 and after one hour got it on as best as I could. Looked like [email protected] Then I read that Zagg was making a T-Mobile model. So I got an RMA number for a HTC model and was told to buy a T-Mobile TP2 one. Well I used the one on my phone and noticed that as time went one the top front cover was peeling back more and more (I keep my phone in my jean pocket). Well I got to look at the Zagg website and I see that the T-Mobile one covers the front and back with no wrap over the top. If this is the case then the peeling will happen again with the new T-Mobile TP2 model. Can anyone confirm this design?
TIA,
I've been staring at Proporta's Advanced Screen Protector ( http://www.proporta.co.uk/F02/PPF02P05.php?t_id=4646&t_mode=des ) and the invisibleSHIELD Full Body Protector ( http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/invisibleshield-full-body-protector-htc-touch-pro2-p20624.htm ) for a while now and I can't make my mind up as to which is better.
I know both make decent products, and the price difference doesn't concern me so much - I want quality. Has anybody used either (or both) and can recommend one or the other?
this is the one i used.
this is the one i used for mine and its awsome, you can find it on amazon.com
LCD Screen Guard Protector for Sprint HTC Touch Pro2 (CDMA)
ASIN: B002RCM4JY
Its like the original one that came with the phone. its smooth and easy as hell to put on. came out to 3.00 with shipping, i bough two of them for 6.00 its one of those werid pricing things on amazon.
look in the second picture thats the one you woudl be getting if you order it.
mine
I have the Full Body Zagg invisibleSHIELD. While it is pretty decent there are quite a few problems im having. It can easily be due to me failing at applying but what ive noticed is the Back cover is starting to come up around the edges. Under alot of head (tethering with wifi etc battery gets hot + its 90degrees outside) the glue used to keep it attach starts to unstick and gives movement =( not good
1 other point is it doesn't cover the Silver front face edge. Im not sure if any will but thats the one area i do get scratched alot =( so i just use scrapes and made my own.
I would get the Bodyguardz full body kit, as theres actually cover the chrome part unlike the invisibleSHIELD.
You can get the product from Expansys.com for 21-ish quid with shipping you also get two sets unlike the Zagg.
If you want a really good Screen Protector you should try the Vikuiti DQC-160 from 3M. It costs only about 8-10 dollars, and shipping is very fast and free (from Germany to anywhere on the world).
never ever, invisible shield!!! get body guardz, phantom skin or anything else...

Evening all, i know theres so many already but i thought id start a thread on just screen protectors available in the UK. Almost all the thread ive seen when people post a link its never available here to buy so to make it quicker and easier lets see what the others in the uk have got
cheers, all
No one in the UK?
I'm interested in what others are using here in the UK. Don't really want to pay for a whitestone dome as I think it's way over priced.
Current using a cheap film protector off amazon
Galaxy S8(5.8 Inch) Screen Protector, Klearlook® [Updated Case-Friendly Version] https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0727TVMYT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_HwVHzbD8JC23Y
They stick to the phone really well and work with a case but they make the phone screen look a little fuzzy, you can hardly tell there's one installed if it wasn't from the image quality. I can live with this for now as I want my phone to have some protection but would love to see what others are using that might be better.
I've used 2 cases with these and have had no issues with lifting. Currently using a speck presidio grip that I'm really happy with.
Here is a pic of them installed when using a Choetech clear case.
