Hello guys, Please i need some help with my X02T (TG01 from SoftBank).
I flash my phone with T01A ROM, using the "TG01 to T01A ROM Converter" and pin mode, now my phone have DOCOMO boot logo, and my SIM-Card from SoftBank dont work (ask for unlock code), soo i buy a Universal SIM Unlock (hypersim) and try use with ROM radio 5005.1700.05, and the phone work fine for 1 day.
Phone, internet and SMS work good, but in roaming mode, and after 1 day i lose the signal, and cant connect again, and when i try manual connection and choise SoftBank i get this Message: S.O.S / Emergency calls only.
Soo i put my SIM-Card (SoftBank) inside my old HTC Hermes, without Hypersim (my Hermes dont need it) and cant connect too, but when i change for manual and choise Vodafone JP (SoftBank) it work normal again, i can connect with phone, internet, sms, all.
I flash my X02T with another ROM, this time i choise radio 5005.1600.05, put my SIM-Card with Hypersim again and this work fine again but still in roaming mode, phone and internet work good, but can only send sms, can't receive, and after less 1 day signal dead again, and get the same error: S.O.S / Emergency calls only
Plz i need help with some questions:
1 - Why i can only connect in roaming mode, if i just use a SoftBank SIM for connect with SoftBank network?
2 - Why can only use the phone for 1 day?
3 - Since my Boot is DOCOMO, i can use a DOCOMO SIM without hypersim?
4 - If i buy a unlock code, my SIM-Card will work withou a Hypersim?
5 - If i flash ROM with another radio the phone will work again?

Please i forget 1 ask, if i buy a better Universal SIM Unlock (like Iphone unlock 2.2), this will fix my problem?
any one know if T01A need a Universal Sim Unlock after flash ENG ROM?
my phone works fine with any rom and there's no need of unlock code...
Hypersim simulates roaming, so you have roaming icon on status bar.
If you have problems with hypersim, get Nokia BB5 phone and turn it on with your simcard and hypersim then make call, receive sms, etc. Now it should work with tg01 too.
I make a new test with my japanse ROM radio 5005.1901.20 (SoftBank ROM with DOCOMO Bootloader) and works good now, used for 3 days and signal is good.
I think the radio is the problem, is possible get a ENG ROM and change radio for 5005.1901.20?
HI, eethecat would you be so kind as to share with us the japanse ROM radio 5005.1901.20 (SoftBank ROM with DOCOMO Bootloader), I bricked my x02t with flashing a chinese WM6.5 ROM. Now I can power the phone by shorting Pin 1 and 2, after that, I insert the softbank sim card, seems no sim card installed on the signal bar. Thank U in advance for your help.

After unlocking (read code) with xda2unlock and enter code in XDA2, the xda2 don't want to enter in network at all (radio say no service) also when i want a manual search of networks, phone come with an error. Any ideeas why? (phone ask pin no for sim card, but after entering no radio at all!)

It could be a problem with the SIM unrelated to unlocking.
Does the SIM work in another phone? Does the SIM that came with the XDA2 still work? Have you tried another hard reset?
i tryed different SIM cards! the sim cards working fine! The original card not working anymore! I flashed the 1.6.0 in it now and the same radio stack seems not working fine! Can we rewrite the GSM settings again (maybe corupted)?

So you also re-flashed it with a different ROM? I suspect that the problems are more related to this than due to the unlocking. The unlocking uses the official interface and no unorthodox methods are used to unlock it. I've had no reports from anyone that the phone did not work afterwards or even that the unlock code did not work. It is important to consider all aspects that could have influence else you might be hunting for the wrong solution.
Don't know what is realy rong with it. I locke it back (AT%HTCLOCK...) and now radio at least saying Searching (with same firmware). Do u have a full gsm backup (tunning as well?) maybe is something messed there.

Radio does not work after unlock
Got the unlock code from Cingular. The code was accepted. Entered T-Mobile SIM but then phone will not make or receive calls. Even after putting original Cingular SIM it will not work.
Inserted another Cingular SIM and attempted call. It starts working. However, if I put T-Mobile SIM it would go back to same state.
Any help would be appreciated.
It is MDA 3 from Siemens for Cingular with Radio version 1.02.10

I have this very annoying problem with my x01HT after using the imei-check unlocker.
I have a Softbank post Dec.2 device and as soon as imei-check released the unlocker(M3100v4bUnlock.exe) I bought it and unlocked my set. According to the software the unlocking was successful and after that I had the chance to try it with a DoCoMo SIM card and it was working very nice. The real problem came when I tried to use SIM cards from GSM networks. I have tried both a Bulgarian (Globul) SIMcard and one in Thailand (True). Both GSM SIM cards when I start the phone say SIM lock, emergency numbers only, and I cannot use my phone with them. I can still use the roaming with the Softbank card, but that of course is not what I want.
Has anyone encountered something like that?
I would appreciate your help.

I have CID unlocked my 3100 (already SIM unlocked) and I flashed WM 61 Pro V1g everything is working fine but the problem is it's working only, on the one SIM card I used while unlocking the phone. Any other card I put in (even cards from the same carrier) it gives me "SIM failure" so normaly I can't turn on the phone function. Can anybody help me at what could be the cause.
P.S.: I have tried flashing other ROMS but it's the same thing on every one.
I have tried to CID unlock the phone with another card in but it's the same.

To clear something up I did tried a different Radio and now I can use 2 of 3 providers in Switzerland (Orange and Swissscom) but the 3rd one Sunrise (the one I am using) want work. I tried two sifferent Sim cards from that provider and they both gave me a Sim failure.
Could that have to do something with the voltage of the card or is it something else.
Please I need help, cause I realy want to use this phone but I can't just change providers because of the phone.
Help!!! Please.

i had the same problem on Qtek 8500 with new Beeline SIM-cards. The problem was solved by changing that new SIM card to older.
Thanks for the answer but my SIM card is from 2003 so any older would not be an option. I just thought it had something to do with the radio or the ROM and maybe could be fixable but thank you anyway and keep up the good work, the WM6.1 Pro is great!!!!
P.S.:Kosovo was and will always be Serbia.
A friend of mine had one of those disposable phones & I took the sim out and put it into my unlocked 8500 to see what would happen. I got the same error, sim card failure so it might be that while your phone is unlocked, your carrier may have locked the sim. Just my .02 on that one.
I got unlock code from Orange for the Orange HTC Mozart. It did accept the code and accepted the non-Orange SIM but showing no signal. I have tried with other non-Orange SIMs but still no service (no signal) but as soon as I put my orange sim back in, it worked fine for both 3G and 2G signals.
Does this mean that the code provided only did the SIM unlocking function but not the carrier unlocking bit. BTW, although orange mentioned in the instruction that phone will ask for code two times, but in my case it only asked once.
Orange seems to fail even to understand the problem. any tip / trick?

thanks Ansar, I reset to factory setting twice and it now all working, with any carrier SIM and for 2G/3G. I think some thing was just stuck after accepting the code. but any way it's working now

but now now signal in any sim in our countery(egypt)
with orignal sim phone have network normal
i make hard reset and flash orignal rom but phone still no service

WELL I KNOW I DID A HUGE MISTAKE AND I M AN IDIOT AND I HAD TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST
i had the "NOT RECOGNIZED SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE" but i tried to unlock my boot loader using the-laser's (x10_bootloader_unlock.exe)
and now i ve lost my signal
when i look for network operator it give me all of them. but it cant connect to my netork operator .sim toolkit is still working
it look like he dont recognize my sim card . WHAT SHOULD I DO
ps : pccompanion dont work
You will need to contact @THE-laser to fix that for you. One price for both unlock sim and bootloader.

Wow..... That was a mistake. But however, you should lock your bootloader back, Another thing you can try, BEFORE you search for a way to lock your bootloader is making sure your phone is actually "Unlocked" Sometimes you run a risk when you unlock your bootloader that your phone "Re-Locks" Witch sucks, and is another complete pain in the butt battle. But its the price you pay for not paying complete attention to whats going on. Go through them steps and get back to me.

I have x10i and i have done the bootloader unlock with flashtool, but no matter what sim i put in they can all find networks... but none will allow access to networks no matter what sim. Im from SA and i every time i reboot im asked to insert sim... already have... and on boot please insert simcard and restart. Might i add that i put my wifes vodacom sim in and no luck... i put one of those red voda sims in which is blocked then on boot it is recognised but the sim stops the boot requiring a puk number cause the sim is blocked. But my point is that the sim is noticeably recognised and wont boot the phone further unless puk code inserted. But even so i want the phone open to all networks. I have messed round with s1tool but when it tells me hold control then choose firmware im lost... cause i push control and nada happens. I see there is generic for za and sa and there is a voda sa branded one when i use flashtool to run that. I have used all the sa versions i can see or am aware of... could i be missing something... im using generic world firmware version 2.1 update 1, Kernel 2.6.29, Baseband 2.1.54 and build number 2.1.A.0.435... so what to do?

How to re-lock a bootloader !!!!!!!

To re-lock the bootloader you are going to have to download the latest flashtool and use the restore option. In some cases this has helped some people get their network back but in others not.
I am one of the unfortunate ones. I also have an x10i which i have recently aquired from a friend but after upgrading to 2.3.3 it has somehow lost its ability to read any sim card i put in it. There is absolutely no network lock on it at all and i see grey signal bars as if network is there but it never ever registers a sim card and permently stays on emergency calls only.
My phone i do believe was on a contract from t-mobile in germany but if i type *#*#7378423#*#* in to the keypad it quite clearly states that their is no locks on it at all.
I am quite clearly baffled as to why this is happening on an unlocked phone, and if anybody who reads this can help please send me a message
