AT&T Tilt 2 Rubberized / Silicone Case? - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Accessories

Ok I think I've done my due diligence in that I've searched the forums high and low for a rubberized case that is actually designed for the Tilt 2... I've found tons of cases but not a single one that had the cutout for the PTT button on the AT&T. And I've found countless listings either on eBay or other e-tailers that claim to be for all models or even specifically for the AT&T but not a single one actually shows a case with the PTT cutout.
I'm at a loss - can these things really not exist?!?!

(bump) Anyone? I've checked even the praetorian case - it covers the PTT button as well...

Searching is the key

Some links are outdated but most of store links work

honestly i've been in the same spot, did not find any silicon case with the ptt cutout ended up settling with the praetorian case and could not be happier, ptt is still accessible just need some time to get used to, and its still easy to pull out of my pocket on my jeans

Searching, and indeed reading, are in fact the key... But alas - I did both.. And I read the link you posted, ad nauseum (as it is referenced here many times over).
I should make clear both that I have an AT&T (and thus a PTT button) - and that I use the PTT button (for voice command) frequently.
A quote, from the first link (the praetorian case): "The PTT button is indeed covered"
Of the 3 eBay links, only the last works... And the title says all you need to know - "BLACK RUBBERIZED CASE FOR HTC TMOBILE TOUCH PRO 2 PHONE". As we all know the HTC version is markedly different and notably missing the PTT button. The picture, as well, shows the side cutout not including a cutaway for the PTT button.
And the Global Phone Company link also has the title "Black Gel Skin Cover Snap-On Case Front and Back for HTC Touch Pro 2 T-MOBILE VERSION ONLY (NOT COMPATIBLE WITH SPRINT AND VERIZON HTC TOUCH PRO2 VERSION) Black Gel Skin Cover Snap-On Case Front and Back for HTC Touch Pro 2 T-MOBILE VERSION ONLY" - again one with an AT&T phone need not read any further.
So I plead again - please does anybody know of a case that actually has the PTT cutout button?

Thanks - I figured I'd end up giving the Praetorian case a shot... I take it you just push the PTT button through the rubber, more or less?

ATT Praetorian Crystal Slip
I just took some quick snaps of my ATT Praetorian Crystal Slip for you.
ITS NOT A REAL BUTTON!
A little hard to see but there is a cutout INTERNALLY for the PTT button. However on the outside it is smooth so u cant feel the button like the others. They suck and didn't actually change/make a new case for ATT even tho its advertised. It helps for making it easier to hit it through the rubber now but still sad =(

That is, in my opinion, the best silicon case for the wizard!

I paid about 30$ for it, and it came with a nice wrist strap. For me it's ideal because I can work with the wizard's keyboard perfectly, the protection is good for the device and excellent for the screen. Sadly the only color I could pick was white.. The only problem is that apparently I've got a defected one, because the back part won't stick to the device (the front sticks as it should, so I believe that after replacing the back part it will also work. I use a double-sided duct tape in the mean while)

Always makes me wonder, what keeps the case on, on both sides? There just doesn't seems to have places to grip on.
It's semi-rigidized, so the frame around the device is made of plastic and coated with silicon. The frame has small clasps that keep the case on the device. Actually one was broken so I'm holding it with the duct tape and going to replace it today. These are the clasps:
They look flimsy but they're OK.
Cool...
Hey...Where did you find that? I have been looking for a case like that everywhere...ok, obviously not everywhere or I would have found it...all I have been able to find were cases for the cingular 8125...could you post the link please? thanks...oh one more thing, does it come off pretty easily?
I read somewhere awhile back that somebody had dyed their clear silicone cover
They used some dye that can be found at most stores(Walmart, Target, etc.)
I dont think it was food dye...maybe something along the lines of clothing dye.
Anyway, they put this tablet of dye in warm water, then placed the silicone cover inside and then left it in there for several hours.
It came out looking great....I think the guy had done some using black, blue, and red.
I Found It...
Thanks to Aviv for a little help in the right direction...
http://pdaden.com/shop/cart.php?target=product&action=view&product_id=18120&substring=wizard
just search for wizard and scroll down to the bottom of the screen.
My long search is over...it's only $24 with international shipping...Thank you so much Aviv
The front part is held tight, but the rear doesn't, at least mine. With the duct tape it's OK.
Well good idea for a silicon case, but looks forced. Also I prefer the PD'air aluminium cover, really protects the phone. Have dropped it several times by mistake and (phew) phone still works.
I have the aluminum case also, it is kinda bulky. But aside from that I think that it feels odd using it. Having to open it just to use the touch screen, not to mention the keyboard, is a little much for me. I have dropped mine plenty of times with out any case and it still works fine (scares the daylights out of me when it happens though).
Aluminum cases are bulky and heavy. With this silicon case I can work with the wizard without giving up protection, it's always inside. Furthermore, the silicon case is nice to hold, even better then a naked wizard. It won't slip and it's soft to touch.
hmm whats those yellow things on ur keyboard
Hebrew letters.
Anyone tried this with the Cingular 8125 version. It's more rectangular. Kinda of uglier... I just shipped the back case and I think I'd rather get a silicon case but I want one that's made for the cingular version.
This is the closest that I have seen...only problem is that it doesn't allow the keyboard to slide open. The 8125 seems to have the most options as far as silicon cases though so you might check around.

Did anyone else get this case yet?
It pretty good but I'd like to get some more opinions before buying it.
It's on order. I'll give you my feedback when it arrives.

Same battery cover Tilt 2 & Sprint TP2?

Is the AT&T Tilt 2 and the Sprint Touch Pro 2 battery covers the same? I lost my battery cover for my tilt 2 and found a Sprint tp 2 cover for sale. Will it fit?
the Sprint tp 2 cover wont fit cause sprint touch pro 2's dont have the ptt button under the volume slider.

It's nothing to do with the PTT button - the GSM (AT&T) and CDMA (Sprint) phones are different sizes, so the battery covers are not interchangeable.
I bought one of these for my Tilt2, and it fits perfectly. No PTT button, however, and no clear plastic in the camera opening.
Sprint and Verizon are interchangable.
Battery and cover. Believe me, I tried yesterday.
The battery is the same, the battery cover is too, just a different design than VZW, but who cares.

the looks like i might fit. from the picture it appears to have the ptt button and the camera plastic.

battery covers ARE interchangeable.
So, i couldnt wait for you guys to answer about the battery cover and already pulled the trigger on the battery cover. It turns out, it does fit. and fits perfectly aside from 2 things. The bottom (usb port) area doesnt seal up completely and that the stylus can be pushed in more than it should be.
Other than that, it fits perfectly. I know theres no PPT anymore, but I honestly havnt found a need for it yet.
Here are the pictures if you guys dont believe me:

Good info. Based on your findings, these guys should update their specs.
I still wouldn't use the Sprint battery cover on my Tilt2, but your photos indicate that the chassis is the same size.

[Review][Cimo Technologies] S-Line Soft Shell Clear TPU Case

***If anyone has a hard time viewing the pics please let me know. I have them hosted on another forum.***
Cimo Technologies S-Line Soft Shell Clear TPU Case Review
I've owned a TON of cellphones over the years. Oddly enough, they've all been hard cases and this is the first TPU case I've ever owned. TPU, for those like me who had never owned one, is essentially a pliable plastic that is sturdy but not firm. It's almost a perfect mix between silicone (arguably too soft) and a hard plastic.
Packaging:
Having never owned a TPU case before I was worried when the package arrived and it was in a brown envelope with bubble wrap. I quickly found that the packaging really wouldn't have mattered due to the nature of the TPU case material.
The Case:
As mentioned above, this case is unlike any other case I've ever owned before and to be completely honest, I kind of like it!

The case I got was clear so that I could continue to see the beautiful lines, colors and design of the Droid Razr. As can be seen in the picture above, nearly the entirety of this case is clear and part of the back is a translucent.
Initially I HATED the the S-Line design but quickly grew to appreciate and ultimately LOVE the S-Line design because the different "colors" also had different textures. The textures were a great bonus as the texture I want for holding the phone is different than the texture I wanted for pulling the phone out of my pocket.
Speaking of texture, both sides of the case have a molded grip. This was a fantastic addition to the case and made holding case much convenient and pleasurable!!!
The case covers the power button and volume keys but allows full access to them. The volume keys are much easier to find and use than they were on a naked phone.
Installation and Fit:
Installation was a breeze. Really not much to say.
Fit is perfect! All cutouts are well done and do not interfere with operation of the phone, charger, headphones, etc. There is also a cutout for the SD Card and Sim Card slot.
Unfortunately, there was not a hole for the second microphone on the back of the phone. According to those I made test phone calls with (car, work, home), this was not an issue. Those who purchase this case may want to poke a hole through the case to allow the second noise-cancelling microphone to be beneficial.
I also noticed that the power button is easier to find but that it can be a little more difficult to press and can cause the case to bow a little at the front near the screen.
Overall:
This is a FANTASTIC case! Due to the nature of the material, it is sure to show wear and tear after time, especially with a clear case like the one that I'm reviewing.
Amazon currently has these cases on sale for $5.95 (which is a STEAL in my opinion) and are available in a variety of colors and styles (S-Line and plain).
Go get yours here!
Just ordered a soft black case. Nice review!
Great case but does not fit in any of the raze docks

Just got mine in the mail today. It's on the phone right now. The side grips on this thing are great. This feature should be on every TPU case out there.
Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
got one myself, but the only flaw I see is the lack of cut-out for the noise cancellation mic on the back. apart from that, very sturdy case and great value.
Got mine yesterday.
Not a fan. The top by the Motorola logo bows out. Plus I don't like the SIM cut out. Doesn't flow.
Back to the Verizon black gel one. Best I've used so far.

Silicone skin for flyer?

I bought a cheap silicone skin for my flyer (this one: http://www.amazon.com/HTC-FLYER-SILICONE-SKIN-CASE/dp/B0050FDQTC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1325684321&sr=8-1)
It fits ok, but causes frequent shut downs. I think it's just a bit tight against the power button and holds it down till the flyer shuts off.
Anyone know of a skin that doesn't do that? Or should I just take a knife to this one and cut out around the power button?
I want just a skin rather than case - I'd like a better grip on the unit, plus hide the whiteness (just don't like the white/silver of the flyer) and still fit into my windshield mount in the car.
I just received a clear one from handheld items that I haven't installed yet. By the looks of it, the area over the power button is raised so it shouldn't cause the problem you are having. I'll test it out later and report back.

Thanks, I'd appreciate it.
The one I bought does have a raised bump over the power button, but doesn't seem to be enough.
I looked todya at the bestbuy hard cover for the flyer (the one that only covers the back, but it's hard). Looks nice, but the back is too slick. And it's stupid expensive, like $40 for a dumb piece of molded plastic. So I'm also considering some of the knockoffs of that too - the ones online all claim to have a rubberized back.

Oh, I have. But I've actually had 2 of them already and both did it (different sellers, but the same skin. One was this one, and one was a bigger pack w/ car mount and such). So now I'm looking for a replacement. My flyer was a refurb, and the bottom back cover (not the one that the sd slot is under) is loose, so that's another reason I want it covered. Don't want a full case though since it'll be spending most of the time in a car mount where a case would get in the way.
I just installed the one I got from HandHeldItems.com
There is plenty of clearance between the power button and the case. Maybe just a tad more than I prefer because you have to push it down pretty far to get it to trigger the switch.
The case fits good. All holes line up except the small hole on the bottom of the right side. I think that is a microphone. No big deal for me.
The back is textured and it feels good in the hand.
My only complaint is the 'color'. I'd go with a Black or Smoked on my next one. I'm not a fan of the clear.

Official Sony Xperia Style Cover for Xperia XA1 Ultra

Had to import this to Canada from the UK (unable to find where to buy this anywhere in North America, online or otherwise). Cheapest I found it online in the UK was from Fonejoy (paid around $40 CAD inc. tax after currency exchange - which actually seemed very reasonable for an OEM Sony case, which I assume would have been priced at around that same amount if not more in USD/CAD).
Not a huge fan of flip cases in general, but because its OEM I had to get it and sleep/wake functionality is a huge plus for me. If you have further questions, let me know and I'll try to answer them.
Pros
+ Best looking flip cover you can get (at a cost)
+ Fits like a glove when closed, extremely solid in the hand, can't beat the classy look
+ Camera cutout is the best I've seen, very recessed, solid, and has a separate cutout for the flash
+ Sleep/wake functionality (seems to be the about the same speed as pressing the power button... which IMO always has an annoying delay from the time you actually press it to when the screen comes on...)
Con
- The plastic lip on the upper right hand side of my unit is slightly crooked. Not a huge deal, and not worth sending back. Probably a manufacturing issue.
- Not a huge fan of the way the edges of the cover extend past the inner shell. It *can* cause the top cover to shift around when pressed, and also may bend or warp over time.

Hey dude, firstly thank you for this review as I've been considering this case myself as I previously owned a Z2 a few years ago and had the style cover for that and I really loved it (but not a big fan of flip cases myself).
I've just ordered a J&D gel case as I previously owned one of these for the original XA and I must say it fitted very well and looked very sleek. I will most likely consider the Style Cover very soon!
