Hi,
Every time i try to connect with my router, I can use internet for a few minutes or less and then i just stops working. It stills says it is connected but i wont receive any data? And i only got that problem with my router, any other router works just fine. My router is the Netgear WNR2000.
Anyone got an idea on how to solve this?

I seem to be having some problems with my tab gray 16 gb wifi version.
When i started it for the first time it could not find my wifi, i went ahead with setup and when i was finished i looked into wifi settings and it had found my router.
A few days went by and all of a sudden i was connected to the router but had no internet connection, I checked my computer which was connected by wire and it had internet connection. I then tried to switch wifi on and off on the tab and since then i cannot find my router.
I've tried rebooting both router and tab and it has not resolved the problem. Anyone else experiencing these issues? Any solutions? I thank you all in advance.
btw the router is a D-link dir-655

Unplug the router and plug it back in. I have experience this issue as well. My desktop was able to connect to the Internet. But my laptop won't connect through wireless. Not even my wireless printer. I unplugged it and plugged it back in, and it works fine. Sometimes, it's other way round.

I have the same router and I don't have any problems connecting. I did have many problems with my OG Droid phone connecting though, until I switched from WEP to WPA encryption.
Can you see the router on your Tab, but it just won't connect? Or is it not visible at all?
I have tried unplugging the router leaving it unplugged for 30 sexonds or so and then plugging it back in, no luck. And no I cant even see the router, I see lots of routers but not mine, I can connect to my phone using mobile access point but just not my router
Does your router use a hidden SSID?

This might sound funny, but do you have anything else connected to the WiFi? My router sometimes does this same exact thing and it happens to do with the traffic going through it. It happens alot when I'm using my laptop and my Xbox 360 and I turn off my Xbox for some reason. The way that I've always found that fixes it, is by rebooting all my connected devices along with rebooting my router. It's as if their is a conflict with the connections that make it not work.
No hidden SSID and at the moment nothing is connected to my router wireless
edit: Solution! logged in to my router switch of wi-fi, turned it back on, enabled wpa2 security and there it was right on my tab, welcome back old friend
I had the same problem, but solved it by changing locale setting on my router from Czech Republic (where I live) to USA.
figure out how many devices are connected to your router. My router can hold only five devices at a time. Also change the channel in your router settings.

I´ve got problems with the wifi on my folio. I can connect to my Router (D´link- DIR635) but i cant surf in the internet. It loads one site very slow and then its over. Reconnect doesn´t solve this. This probem is with all the roms for folio. What i dont understand is, my neighbour has the D´link - DIR615 and it works???? Any solution for this problem? Thanks
I think that problem is in your router. Try setting up it.
My Router is on default settings and the firewal is deactivated. No portforwarding or anything else.
Did you have that problem with stock rom?

Strange...u have other devices that use the same wi-fi network? I have a folio with FolioMod 1.4 installed and yes, it take a long time to obtain a network connection to the router, but not tu surf internet...can u try with another router?
the problem is 100% the router, other routers are no problem. Maybe there are some settings in the configuration of the router to get this thing working. Maybe someone of you knows something about that
I have two routers, identical, Folio doesnt like the SSID on one , but its fine with letters, weird but true !
Try changing the router's channel to 11. Sometimes fixes Folio issues.

You can try power off your device, after turn off batterry & try again.
I recently bought a Galaxy 4.0 player and so far everything is spectacular.
The only problem is that I can't connect to the wifi network at my school. Everyone else can connect with their laptops and itouchs. I try to connect and it says "obaining ip adress" and then a few seconds later will say "disabled".
Every other wifi network I've tried to connect to has worked perfectly.
Hopefully I'm not missing something obvious.
Any help is appreciated.

I had the same issue. Go give IT a visit and see if there is a second network. My school has two of the same networks. One is password protecred. That is the only solution I have found so far. I hope all goes well.

actually not the router either .. it may be using one of the newer encryption which is not supported

I have a year old factory unlocked S2 which was working fine till this morning. All of a sudden, I see that even though the WiFi shows as connected, there is no internet connection. I restarted it quite a few times but to no avail. The software is up to date and I have not done anything fancy with it ever. No rooting, nothing...
Can anyone please help? My other devices are connecting to the same wifi and working fine...includes my windows laptop, mac, iphone and ipad...

try deleting ur wifi netwrk on phone then reboot and re-configure the ntwrk and see

I tried it, in fact removed all the known wi fi networks, then shut down phone then connected back to the wifi... even then, no internet... the small green arrow near the wifi symbol shows that data is being sent, but the orange arrow that signifies that data is being downloaded/received hardly lights up...
chrome does not open the page, foursquare does not connect, even the default accuweather app does not refresh... any idea?
Just a thought, is your Wifi router connected to the internet? Connectivity issues?
If you can afford it, try doing a factory reset. Also try connecting to some other router. If it was working till morning, and the phone didn't fell down/experience damages, I don't get why it stopped working all of a sudden.

Thanks Sikander... at the end, I think I will try a factory reset.. for nothing else is working...the phone has never been dropped :fingers-crossed:
but like I said, all my other devices are also connected to wifi and they are working perfectly so I would not think that it is a problem with the router...

Hi guys, I'm having some problems with the wifi, when connecting on my router wifi it disconnects frequently, if I go into the wlan page it does like switching off and on repeatedly for a couple of times, then some other times it connects but says disabled line. If I connect it to my phone hotspot it doesn't give any problem. I tried to reset my router, it fixes the problem for a while but sooner or later it starts again. Can you please help me out? Thank you!
