I couldn't find Google Maps 4.2 in Market and installed it from .apk instead. Now the map is refreshing and loading very very slowly. Someone experiencing the same problem?
Also I do not have multi-touch in Google Maps 4.2.
nope, my works fine,
update to the newest rom through OTA or .exe from Legend Android Development Section. The code version name of rom: Legend_HTC_WWE_2.03.405.3_Radio_47.39.35.09_7. 08.35.21_release_130330_signed
you can find the topic here:

Maps 4.2 worked fine here, but now a problem exists with 4.3 version. Okay, can't find on the market as usual. But even installing the downloaded .apk doesn't work. With the .apk you can only uninstall or update the existing maps. But it only stays at 4.2, whatever I do.
Anyone having similar problems and a workaround?
I installed the stock RUU_Legend_HTC_WWE_2.03.405.3_Radio_47.39.35.09_7. 08.35.21_release_130330_signed ROM which comes with GoogleMaps 4.1 and pinch-to-zoom by default. I could not find GoogleMaps in the Market...

I am one of those that stuck with bult 69XX (the leaked rom) instead of the official 8105 build.
I am however using the buil.prop from the official version and still have some apps still not showing up in my market.
The most prominent being Google Earth.
I've tried the usual: clear kalvik-cache, wait 24 hours, reboot with no luck.
Can anyone that updated their streak through the official channels that has not rooted it confirm they can actually see google earth in the market?
I'd like to know if I'm chasing ghost so I can give up seeing as I actually do have google earth installed through a direct APK link.
If you CAN see it, please state what build, any customisations and if you're rooted ot not

with the new update and the 80** update i could see google earth on the market.
Am I correct, that the Vegan-tab 5.1.1 and or supplement already contains the google apps? I thought I read it somewhere here but I can't seem to find it again. I already have voice, talk, calendar, and the market seems to be full or close to it.
Can someone confirm this for me please? Thank you.
Correct. Market and all included...
I think only the Gingerbread versions of ROMs for the Gtablet currently don't have Google Apps included and need the gapps.zip. All of those are based off the CyanogenMod source tree and they use a GApps.zip package.
Yup. It's good to go out of the box.
I could install the apps to my HTC HD2 Android with CM7 before. After I flash my device to the AmeriCanAndroid AOSP HD2 GB2.3.7 CM7.2, I tried to reinstall the apps from my Market Place profile but it reported my device was not compatible to that apps. I directly download the apps and need to install the apps as non-Market apps? The apps work fine.
My question is why the apps report incompatible with my device? Not only one apps has this problem, what should I do to solve this?
Best regards,
Kelvin.
App Compatibility
Which apps have you tried re-installing?
Perhaps they aren't yet compatible with something updated in GB 2.3.7?
When they were running, what OS version was on your device?
For example the Adobe Reader. PasswordWallet, SyncMate (as I can't post the URL in the reply, apps is easily to search it out from Google)
One of the most popular instant messager in China, the QQ also reports Parse error (There is a problem parsing the package) and cannot be installed.
They claimed this firmware 2.3.7 which was optimized by non-official source.
Any suggestion that I can do the installation?
Best regards,
Kelvin.
Device: Samsung Galaxy i9100P
ROM: CM10 Nightly - '10-20121007-NIGHTLY-i9100'
Modem: i9100XXLQ6
I can't seem to get the Google Maps API to install on my phone. I've tried various ROMS (all CM10 nightlies), as well as reinstalling Maps from the Play Store, but nothing seems to work so far.
When I'm in Instagram and I click on the Photo Maps sections I get:
"Photo Maps requires that the Google Maps Android API is installed on your device."
I've tried this method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1837198) but that didn't work for me either.
Anyone got any solutions? Pretty annoying having this issue. Thanks in advance
Did you try flashing gapps after flashing CM10?

Sorry, should've mentioned that in the original post. Yes, I've tried flashing GApps again. No joy
No one else had this issue? Not sure why it's happening me. Friend is running the same ROM as mine (same GApps too) on an S2 and he's not having these issues.
Anyone able to help with this? Not ROM specific, tried loads.
Not able to install Foursquare from Store or any fitness tracking apps. Being told my device isn't compatible. Could it be linked?
I just found this new Google's KitKat launcher (as far as I know this version is not even have been included in KitKat) and it works very well on my phone with latest Paranoid. I think, that it should work on any 4.2.2+ rom.OK Google command (Google Now) works directly from home screen without pressing anything! Swiping from left also opens Google Now cards. And it's just simple APK file for install! I already have had latest Google Search v. 3.1.8.** installed on the phone so launcher was the only thing for install.

Do you happen to have any idea on whether or not this will work for P769? I have v20f (4.1.2), and have Search 3.1.8 and latest Play Services, but when I try to launch the Launcher, it simply says that Google Search has stopped. I've tried the method I've been seeing around where I would go to Search > Voice > and change the language from English (US) to (UK) and do a search, but even that doesn't work.
I'm also having the same problem, I installed both the apps and installed them when i open the launcher app it tells me that google search doesn't work.I don't seem to find a solution to this and I'm starting to think it does not work with our type of phone model( p769v20*)
It works for me but I'm on PA. Do you have offline language/s downloaded?
P.S. I just read all posts on original thread and many have problem with this launcher on JB 4.1.2,so it looks that it doesn't work on 4.1.2...
