I have been using DCD's custom ROMs and kitchens since he started releasing them at the end of 2007 and have added my own apps like SPB Mobile Shell, SPB Pocket Plus, iNav, Weather Panel, etc. Does anyone know of a WM 6.5 Build 21159 kitchen/ROM for a VZW titan that does not have all the extra bells and whistles like M2D, Titanium, etc? I have tried mr-free's WM 6.5 - Build 21159 Beta 4 ROM but the honeycomb feature is just not responsive enough at least on my device when I get some of these other apps loaded.

The 2 posts related to 6.5 are s10onn2o's thread Titan 6.5 Kitchen Beta 4 which uses build 21139 but I wanted build 21159. The other thread is mr-free's WM 6.5 built 21159 - Beta 4 which is a prebuilt ROM with no kitchen. I appreciate the work and dedication of both of these members but I was looking for a kitchen or minimal ROM with build 21159 that I can add my apps to without the added bloat of Titanium, M2D, and honeycomb.

yes .. only issues is free memory ... but yeah I have tested M2D 22 on all the 6.5 works perfect .. just free memory issues...

Due to the lack of sufficient resources on the Titan, you cannot use Manila 3D, only 2D. Check out the post in the Development and Hacking forum to download it and install it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398173

you can get it to boot without titanium running .. but yes you need the titanium files available .. as most of the device locks and other function
now use some of the titanium files .. but yeah you can boot it without
titanium running .. you'll save about 2mb ram..
Just install a different start menu
I set up QuickMenu to replace the standard start menu and have no Titanium or honeycomb visible on boot. I start with ~19.75-20.25mb on boot - goes down to 15.5.-16.5 during the day with normal use. Use Oxios or QuickMenu to recover your lost RAM. No problems... Using Mr. Free's Release 4

This is the kind of configuration I'm looking for. Titanium doesn't bother me so much as the honeycomb which is kind of cool but is really a dog, at least on my VZW when I add some of my apps. I may give this a try. Thanks for the input.

There's no such thing as a 'best' rom.. but the ones i'd recommend are any of the PDAViet ones. You should try their latest WM6.1 ROM and just fiddle around with it a bit until its tweaked to perfection like everyone else has done. As for the phone freezing during a call... install a PDAViet ROM then see if that still occurs.. if so you might wanna update your Radio version
I agree. At the moment I'm on the "clean" 20931 ROM, but I'm gonna get rid of that one and go back to one of the earlier. I think all the integrated 20XXX ROMs from PDAViet are pretty good (the ones with Manila 2D), but they have their problems. Much of those problems are memory related, like Manila stopping when launching Opera and then restarting, pushing Opera back in the background. And on some PocketIE has a problem where it suddenly exits on a webpage with a few too many pictures. That's probably related to not having enough memory as well. But if you can live with that, I'd recommend one of those PDAViet ROM's. If not you might just as well stick with the (oh, so boring) last official MWG ROM. Me, I wouldn't put an original ROM on my son's PDA...which is why his Exec has the TJs_21014_Atom_Exec_M2D_Black_ROM. I'm sad to say that it's actually more stable than my Atom Life! Quite embarassing, really...

My atom life seems don't like to work with Opera under M2D.....

I already tried all WM6.1 Roms for Atom Life as many as i can find in this forum...
And now i'm happy using Manilla 2D 19971 T2M
i will try to update my Radio version...
Opera runs very slow, but it never crash or stopping Manilla 2D, or something like that..
May be it was because i use Atom Life White Limited Edition..
But I prefer using Opera Mini...very fast n stable...opening friendster, facebook, livescore, live betting, e-mail..and i hv no problem with that...
Help to access the 6.1 ROM as the USER name does not work?
I have tried to download the ROM with NO success, maybe it is down and N/A anymore? Can anyone lend a hand here as I have tried the PDAVIET Username and password and nothing happens?

I installed almost all ROMS on my O2 Atom Life. But every ROM had one or two major problems though rest of the builtin softwares worked well.
Just 10 Minutes before writing this post I uninstalled 6.5 Beta 7 and re-installed PDAVIET ROM WM6.1 20753 by TranMinhMan which was working well before I installed 6.5. 6.5 was working well and all the features were good but its powerhogger. I tried almost all tweaking with it using ACT or custom registry settings, but nothing worked. Finally I decided to install PDAVIET WM6.1 20753 by TranMinhMan.

Yeah, as Ankit, for me too, the new look, the more touch friendlyness and stability is the reason i am trying every build of 6.5 though i am also going to move to WM 6.1 21042 build soon coz 6.5 is having heavy memory leaks and it eats every byte of memory thrown at it. So i think i am better off with SPB mobile shell 3 and WM 6.1 for now.
UPDATE: Yes I was right. WM 6.1 build 21042 is 10x faster that WM 6.5 build 21222 and i am getting more than 29 MB of free ram with 49 MB of space on a fully loaded new version of Pro Users ROM. Even with SPB Mobile Shell 3 running free ram is 25 MB. If all goes well, i will post the new rom soon, so keep an eye on Pro Users ROM thread

i take the rom and i remove some packages ( youtube and some i am not using .. ) and there is no error at all for cocking or flashing , but after flashing all icon is gone or change with very bad looking way ( but rom is working very nice and i get more space also ) and some program and sitting have no icon at all ,names only , i try to use the Mobile shell 3 for fix this but all programs or sitting that have no icon is not appear on Mobile shell , if you have solution, please tell me .

Actually some of the dsm files in the packages inside SYS folder are not having correct information about the contents of the packages, so when you unpack a rom, the files not listed in a package's DSM are not moved into it and are discarded.
One such file that i suspect should be the root of this problem must be shellres.96.dll which should be in BASE_DPI_96 folder inside SYS. I am attaching that file here, try to put it in the above specified folder and recook. It will solve the problem i think.
In the next version i sincerly hope that this problem is not present as i always want my roms to be perfectly ready for recooking so people can have their own cake and eat it too I think that rom will grab more of your attention as the amount of free ram is already very good and if you make a lite rom out of it, it will have huge amount of free space

did you try 21046 build it consume more space as compare to previous old build
I havent used it yet but from your kitchen thread, i can see that it contains a build of IE 6 not IE 5 as in the case of 21042. That may be the reason for increased size of ROM. IE 6 uses about 11 MB more space than IE5.

I love the Finger touch/scroll in WM 6.5, this is the new and usefull feature, but the speed is to slow compare with WM 6.1.
The memory management is not good like WM 6.1, althought I have 24Mb for the first boot, but after several time operated with exchange mail active, the memory will godown under 10Mb, and the performance is slow down too.
Yesterday I get 21042 SYS and XIP from Sumit, and as my experience it's the best WM 6.1 I ever use, very fast and stable, I have 31Mb for the first boot, with SPB shell 3, touchpal, SRS WOW, and exchange mail active, the memory still above 18Mb and the performance still same with free Ram 31Mb.
Anybody know, Which is the latest build of WM 6.1?

Sumit already release 21042 ROM, the different his ROM and mine is only the additional app and package in the OEM Folder and I remove some module in the SYS folder. You can Dump his ROM and re build as you want.
I will not release any ROM for this time, Manila 2D is old style now...
Ankit Yaar, the sys you have released mostly contains 21041 packages in SYS, are you sure its not a heavily patched sys? How is performance of IE on 21046?
About Memory Leaks
I am using krazy's latest Pro ROM (WM 6.5) for last 10-15 days, but I don't have this memory leak problem whatsoever. But I have disabled titanium, could titanium be the culprit? I am using homescreen plusplus (Clock UI). And when I close all apps, I get 45 to 55% free RAM.

Titanium is not the reason of memory problen, I think WM 6.5 for device with 128 Mb of RAM or above, the performance very good in that device.
Try WM 6.1 build 21042, you will feel the different with wm 6.5.

yes you r right i m using wm 6.5 with camera off i get 29mb of ram on boot , after browsing net from opera mobile , PIE , operamini and one hotmail account free memorey is 20-21
well the processes that eat most memory in 6.5 are gwes.exe (graphical windowing and event system), and shell32.exe. both of these are gui related and hence titanium can be one of the cause of mem leaks if not sololy. but i guess gwes.exe itself is also having memory leaks. another component is lockscreen, it takes 2 mb at startup, and this adds up in memory count of gwes.exe as lockscreen doesnt have its own executable.

After the HTC-like ROMs, the official-like ROMs come back!
After the long freezing in January, Boomer, Da_G and tom_codon suddenly released dozens of new build of WM6.5(.X) last week. Among those builds, I finally chose three most important builds to cook and released those ROMs for you -
Build 21891: Comes from the branch COM2 which is based on the old UI codes of WM6.5.
Build 23102: The very true successor of build 23099 from the branch COM3. It is based on the latest UI codes(a lot different from builds 230XX) and is the very nearly same as build 28223 which is actually a bit older than it.
Build 23529: Comes from the branch COM5 which based on the latest codes of application. It contains some new features such as Office Mobile 2010 and threaded email.
The COM2 ROM has been very stable and well-devloped and it has no bug at all while others have many. It is certainly recommended to use the COM2 ROM but I'm currently using the COM3 one as it is the best in performance. By the way, the Office Mobile 2010 in the COM5 ROM hasn't been ported to other ROMs yet as it is still in beta stage.

2. I'm looking for a program like "FlashLight" o "Htorch" that works on wm6.5, do you know something similar that can operate on you ROM?

For your two questions:
1. I'm used to have the title bar clock in Today, so I've never researched for this issue... Maybe you can ask the Atom Life WM6.5 expert - chriscsh - about this.
2. Have you ever tried the attached one? This FlashLight program works in my device...

Are you asking why "don't"? Oh, I do no tweak to my ROMs - just completely porting but no tweaking. Actually, I think 4 MB pagepool can give us more free RAM, but you know, pagepool size somehow affects the speed of the system as well. So I'm not gonna change the pagepool size.

...you can try editing the registry:
[HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Taskbar]
add the new DWORD: ConsistentClockorBattery = 0

Up ROM Guides: (up from SD)
- Battery over 70%, MiniSD is smaller than 2G, format FAT16 (on PC is FAT).
- Download and extract with the password below, copy file AL1.DIO to SD.

I finally have deceided to quit roaming from rom to rom and settle down with a stable one and focus on something else
I tried a few 6,5s and still i think that my s200 feels better with 6,1. So i would ask you to suggest to me a clean, stable, and less GUI enhanced 6,1 rom. I found the "my little green" and "cloudy 1.0" but fellow users share that they experience problems with the WPA2 and or MMS' and or GPRS in the threads.
I do not need manilas, graphical eye-candies, the closer to the original Microsoft design -> the better.
So this is it, just another |please suggest to me the best rom thread| please excuse me.
I have another question, please tell me how much could i overclock the CPU of the Prophet, so I could be sure that there will be no problems, I mean which is the safest overclock value.

Hi, i have my qtek s200 at days .... i have tested only some roms .... i use WM6.5.3_28014_bikertibi_blue and for me is great.
Sometimes sms blocks and i have to restart ... only that.
If you install up date roms have some problems with sound and camera but WM6.5.3_28014_bikertibi_blue dont have that problems.
