Firstly, Hello.
ive been using xda forums for a while and its awsome, so thank you.
I bought a TG01 from ebay for 158quid(bargain) and it works fine, but it seems its french so i cant use bbc iplayer or 4od via skyfire etc as it thinks im in france. Is there a rom that will fix this? or do they all do it? which rom should i choose? is there a step by step guide for idiots? Also is there a camera app that doesnt make people look at me strangely?

You can use the official UK ROM from toshiba website(toshiba-europe.com) or go to ROM development section for cooked ROMs and also for step-by-step guidance.
For camera (no)sound use this:

Hello everyone, I just got my SGP 5.0
I would say I like it but not that bad device! so so but for the money it is great device! anyway this thread is not about my opinion, I was surfing Play Store and I just noticed some apps that says "This app is incompatible with your Samsung YP-G70" !!!!!
The most important app is "What'sApp" I know that this app doesn't support tablets but I've heard that I can install it on my SGP 5.0
so please tell me how do I do this

Additional: My YP-G70 is not rooted! Should I root it to use your methods espicially the one that says change the device id to galaxy s ??
Follow the steps on the following site: http://codeimba.com/2012/03/09/real-apk-leecher-the-easiest-way-to-download-android-apk-file/
Once you get the APK file, transfer it to the Player and install it. Just make sure you have enabled "Install from unknown sources" on Settings.
I hope it helps.
Note: you CANNOT download paid apps, only free ones with this application.

Please just go into your build.prop and change the device ID to a Samsung Galaxy S.
That's literally all you need to do to make it compatible with a LOT more apps. Search for the forums for how to do so (because I don't remember the link).

Yes, I tried my best to get the APK on the internet but all of them the same APK from Whatsapp official website, so the same issue

I have instaled rhe overcome v2.3.1 rom, but I want to restock to original. But the problem is the page of the team overcome is dead!!

The attached file is copied from the the old team overcome page about restocking. As long as you have the files it tells you what to do. Although you use it at your own risk, I hope it helps.

What exactly are you looking for? It runs ICS already (at least, mine did). What version is yours running now?
Also, what do you see when you run Hardware Info (or other hardware apps)? I was told it's a 1.5GHz CPU, but mine reports 1GHz. SetCPU (and similar apps) show 1GHz is the max as well so I can't really overclock it...
I've been looking for anyone who is doing a JB ROM for it, but no luck so far.

i have it but its far to big to put on here i can email it to anyone who wants it but i got it from where i bought my tablet its got live suite and instructions aswell. i am looking for a way to root mine but keep messing it up does anyone have a way?

I have just started making a rom for this tablet. Its going to be based on the stock rom, with all the crapware and bloat removed. And tweek it etc... just need a name I was thinking superfly? Not sure if used

Help needed from an old post
Hi all,
I've recently bought a Flytouch 8 for my young daughter, but the tablet seems to be stuck loading. It loads upto the android screen and seems to loop. I've tried to press and hold "power and menu" to no avail. I've even tried other buttons in the hope it'll work but still nothing.
I'm guessing that I need to reinstall the firmware but I have no idea how. Any help you could give would be appreciated!

There is an app that allows you to deactivate root for a certain time if I remember well, whereas can't remember the name of it at the moment.

Can someone confirm this adapted version still works with a rooted phone ? I need at least to be able to record programs in the TV guide, as I use this a lot. This is the only thing preventing me from rooting my phone (SGS 4)

I'm still using the app now. It works on my galaxy s4 but you can't load the tv guide. Watching tv works. You can record a program if you are watching the program and you push record now.

So you can not program any future programs ? Too bad...
No sadly it says tv overall has stoped. It would be needs if someone find a solution for that. Because I want to use it to.

I've tested it out on different versions. It's always the same problem. You can see tv but you can't go to the tv guide. It's loading and than it says application has stoped. What i do now is using an older version. Version 2.6.1. With this version you can see the tv guide and record programs on your decoder.
With the newest version the xprivacy is not working. You still have the rooting message. I think you have something in the tv guide when you open it , that it also checks root. I really hope that someone can find a good solution for this problem.

Xposed Installer with module Rootcloak works also. First you have to add the TV overal application in the rootcloak list.

if you know anything about computers etc there is a site CWM-based Recovery images for RK3066 devices (not for RK302x) this is the filmware and the site is http://androtab.info/ i just need a image so i can flash it with the rockchip app and get it running:good:
