Boot up to recovery run adb shell from your computer and do
Code:
su
cd /system/app
rm com.google.android.partnersetup
or just use a different rom
Thank you for the reply but would you be able to explain how to do this, Im kind of a noobie, I mean once I connect to the computer how do I run abd shell?

google partner setup help
Thanks for all the help captainkrtek, your a life saver.
Having the same issue on boot up. Looking in the /system/app from recovery adb shell, I don't have that file to start with. I do see GooglePartnerSetup.apk and GooglePartnerSetup.odex
Probably not the same, so I will not delete these yet.
Thanks in advance,

Gday Guys, Steve here!
I upgraded to CM7 last night! was super easy and credit to all the devs for making that happen.
But today, when i wanted to install my new apps, i was unable to... Android Market place was saying that the apps i wanted to install (winamp, skype etc) were already installed.
Is there anyway, to uninstall apps from the Market Place so i can re install them...
or
is there anyway to go back to my old Stock Rom, with all the apps there to manually uninstall each app.
Maybe someone can help me
Cheers Steve
Are you talking about the market app on the device, or market.Android.com?

Since running ICS 4.0.3 (LPB, LPH, PLQ and now LP7 offical) on my SII I haven't been able to unfreeze frozen apps via Mybackup/Titanium Backup.
Developers of the software are not aware of any issues with ICS, I have root through chainfire kernel, I have tried reinstalling Busybox just in case.
When entering the commands manually with terminal emulator on device/adb
pm enable PACKAGE_NAME
reports
Package PACKAGE_NAME new state: disabled
Anyone have any ideas, I can only find existing google results/forum posts relating to freezing app, not any issue in in unfreezing apps!
Update- Just tried a fresh LP7 odin flash, followed by CF-root LP7. ADB shell commands are still unable to re-enable disabled apks
I'm guessing there must be an issue with the rom/cf-root kernel...
+1
I'm also having this issue? Can anyone help?

How right you are.
Marvellous stuff.
possible workaround, at least it worked on my GB 2.3.6
I ran into the same issue on [XXLC1][2.3.6] CheckROM NoteHD™ V6 (Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000). I froze the MP3-Player and couldn't defrost it. Same luck with pm enable...
It may or may not help on your ROM, however here's how I solved/worked around it on mine:
1. went to Titanium and made a backup of the app
2. uninstalled the app with Titanium
3. looked up the package name with pm on the adb shell
Code:
# pm list packages -d
4. pm indicated it's still installed but disabled... so I took the package name and uninstalled it
Code:
# pm uninstall com.android.music
pm uninstall com.android.music
Success
# pm uninstall com.android.music
pm uninstall com.android.music
Failure
I just tried twice to make sure it's not faking
5. went back to Titanium and restored the backup, App + Data
just my 2ct, hope it helps
Cheers

Well...
Probable a stupid question, can you please tell me what you mean by "then install the rom". DO i have to install the whole stock rom again?
Btw thanks for reply although.
I used titanium backup app to remove them but you need to root your phone first.

remove them from the rom if its a custom rom and install
If stock you will need to root and remove on the phone system /apps
Or use TB to freeze or uninstall .
If you remove an essential app then your phone may not boot .

already used a debloater but it didnt remove these.
then you used it wrong in some way .

Probably a dumb newb question but If you do this and the phone won't boot, is it bricked forever or can you get it back somehow?
If you install cwm you can make a back up before you touch anything.
Or you could just install the stock Rom for your phone if you get stuck, but that would mean starting from scratch.
In regards to removing apps there are lists stating what apps are safe to remove.

Thanx for help dude
remove default browser?
I have a Galaxy S3 (stock Ice Cream Sandwich) and chrome installed.
Is it OK to remove the standard web browser in order to force all apps that open URLs to use chrome instead?

You dont need to remove the default browser to do that..just make Chrome your default browser..
if you really don't want to use it, just disable in app info. setting-application-all- find your app then disable.

In order to remove stock apps, you first need to root your phone, then install titanium backup, it gives u the option. To either freeze or delete an app. If u not sure if an app should be deleted u can freeze it first to see what effect this has. The paid version allows u to batch restore. Any updates to your firmware will replace any stock apps u deleted. U can install rom manager to backup your ROM.

There is simply no play store. I've had my rooted Lg P500 for a while now and it was running CM9 fine, except allot of apps crashed and it was rather slow as well as no camera, so i returned it to my backup of Gingerbread (Stock). Everything was going well, and then i got bored of GB, so i re-flashed CM9 With GApps. I noticed that their was no play store however, even after re-flashing GApps which didn't really bother me at the time.
After doing this, i found that CM10 had been released, which allot of people said was allot more stable and the camera actually worked (even though its a bad camera, i still use apps which use the camera as a background, and it gets rather annoying with just black). I loved it for a while and then i realised that there was no play store (and possibly other android apps which i don't really care about), however there was Gmail. I Flashed GApps (the correct one) and then i tried re flashing it. I did this about 20 times, just constantly re flashing everything and occasionally trying to restore back to GB (Which does have the play store) and then re-flashing CM10, BUT NOTHING WORKS :S!!!!
I then learned that this was a common problem amongst many people, but i cant seem to find an answer. I've tried setting up adb to push a playstore.apk file through, but for some reason, my computer decided it wouldn't recognize my device unless in mass storage mode, so when i do the adb thing i get this message;
"No device found"
I've also tried flashing ICS GApps, and that didn't work. I've tried everything and i cant find anything :'( .
I've also connected to wi-fi and my google account and left it for a while to check if it would update, but it still wont work :/
This is the thread where i got my ROM from and GApps download. (P.S if you read the downloads, i've tried using the mine GApps thing but that didnt work :/ )
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1811325&page=198
If anybody can help me ill be forever grateful
Cheers

He is right. But, to ensure that the Play Store app is on your phone, search for it. Secondly, depending on the Rom, you might have to use TB or a related app to uninstall the apk store, since you won't be able to reinstall it if it IS in your Rom as a system app

Are you sure you're rooted? You should be seeing # if you're rooted, not $. You should also be seeing superuser or superSU pop up requesting permissions on your phone.
Open terminal emulator on your phone (assuming you have it, since you said you're running cm9) you should see $ here. Type su and hit enter - make sure superuser/superSU pops up and you grant permission. If you don't see superuser/superSU or get permission denied, you probably aren't rooted.
