Hi guys, at the first sorry for my bad english. I had a rom wich Apps2sd enabled, yesterday i have changed rom on my hero with another that supports Apps2SD too.
After set up my apps are shown correctly but if i go to the download tab of market, all aps are listed but they are not signed as installed.
Are there any possibility to restore market link? Thank you very much

Nobody?
I'm wondering about this too.
I have some apps that I installed manually via the APK file, but they do exist in the Market. It would be helpful to have these apps appear in the Downloads section of the Market so that I can be alerted of updates and etc...
Titanium backup will back up the market links on your apps.
Even if you haven't wiped your ext partition when switching roms you will still have to restore each app to get the market link back..
As for adding a link for apps that never had one, I'm not sure...

You can just set your mobile browser to m. sonyericsson .com/ backup without the spaces and then just download and install it. This is what I did and it worked fine. Just make sure you have install third party applications checked in your settings (the installer will make sure you do this). Hope this helps!

i tried that, when i go to the site, the browser downloads an apk file. when i try to install it i get an error: "Application not installed" and i'm sure that install third party applications is checked because i sometimes install my appinventor apps on my phone
to be honest: i'm not gonna buy an application which i halve already as OEM.
is there another way please?

you could go to their website on a computer, manually download the apk there, load it onto your sd card and then try installing it. I actually used sideload wonder machine to install it before I debranded the phone. Once I debranded to R2BA026 I saw it was included in that base ROM as well as in 2.1. Of course the one you get from the site is more current than what is included in the generic 1.6, but when I used Astro to open the newer version it just asked me to upgrade.
Hi!
I bought an x10 a week ago and have been trying various roms on it and it's fun.
I have a market problem with 2.1 roms modded or default and I have tried everything including formatting sd card and using xrecovery to format sys etc...
I cannot download apps from the market on any 2,1 roms only 2.2 and above work fine.
I see in all the 2.1 roms that the market has the history of downloaded apps but won't install them either so I would like to use root explorer and delete the market directory and hope to resolve this problem.
I have tried some 2.2 roms but I would like to use a 2.1 rom with working cam and find some cool themes but 2.1 roms are useless to me without market downloads.
please help if you know where the root directory of the market files are.
Thanks for your help
BTW I been to the website for a long time and got into phone mods on an old htc touch and thank the website and mods for hosting this great place.
Try using titanium backup, go market in the list and wipe data.
Also go to system, applications, manage application, find the market and uninstall updates.
Maybe that could help.....solves any issue i have had with the market.

Hi Mr Patchy Patch,
Thanks for your reply. Titanium backup did not work and I just used the program to wipe data and uninstall the market as suggested. (cool tip)
In xrecovery I also wiped all the choices available as well as went into the partition options and wiped everything I could there.
I have reset all phone data inside the phone and reset to factory settings in the phone with no luck. Uninstalled updates no luck
I have also used flashtool to install a generic rom with no luck in the spp installer.
I have also used sony pc suite to repair the phone and still I see I have downloads in my downloads in the market and they never complete when trying to install anything.
I am at a complete loss as to why I cannot install apps from the market on any 2.1 rom.
App installs work fine from 2.2 and up.
Any more ideas?
Cheers
Try deleting android and .android_secure folder of you sd card but make sure to copy those to a pc first.
Thanks for your reply,
I deleted the directories on SD card as recommended then went to xrecovery and wiped everything and installed factory x10 2.1 rom and setup connection and the market downloads still show the files I tried to download before and nothing will install in the app market.
Does anyone know of a 2.2 froyo rom that has everything working and some good menus?
2.3 with working cam etc??
I have no luck with phones
Maybe you can just go to your google market account and change your linked phone in the market that may be it.
Or uninstall market with manage application and use root manager clean all reference's to market
and reboot then reinstall market.apk. an sign in.
Make sure you have the market apk first.
Hi!
I tried root manager great program but no luck.
I wiped and uninstalled the vender and market update and changed my google id and no luck...
installing a generic rom either from xrecover or from the flashtool and the app downloads get stuck and never finish.
It appears I no longer have the download history on the new account with the old downloads and I guess I surrender.
I have no idea why I cannot download apps from the market on any 2.1 roms modded or generic.
Weird as hell
try opening your google talk app?

I have the same problem I've been stuck in this situation for a couple of days now and I've been searching the whole X10 forum for a solution. I've flashed to multiple 2.1 and 2.2 roms but the problem is still there. Seems like the download is running on the notification bar and in the market but nothing's happening at all. I even took out my SD card and it's still downloading. The Market.apk isn't eve listed on my phone when I want to clear the cache and uninstall the updates. I have no clue how this happened and I'm desperate to find a solution
I'm using Warm Rom , sense 3.5

Are those apps installed on your phone?
If yes, then imo they are in /data.
But if you want apk's of the apps just download mybackuppro and select backup option and choose those apps.....all the apk's of those apps will be in rerware folder of sdcard...
Hope this helps.................
Once you paid for an app on market, you can install it unlimited number of times on any phone logged in your google account, factory reset & custom rom etc doesn't really matter.

S im searching how to backup my market or how to run another android version like ics or the similar i have 2.3.4 that includes market
if you can help with some links that are in work ,
IF IS THERE SOMEONE WHO KNOWS FOR THIS JUST HELP ME !!!
If you google "android market apk" you will find many links to download the market. Put this on your SD card and install it.
As far as the backup, Google will backup your settings, including what was installed and will restore upon a factory wipe/reconfigure of your handset (google account).
I also use appbrain - will show you what you have installed and you can easily re-install apps on a new phone.

I've recently installed the RC of CM9 along with the most recent gapps available, and my previously installed apps are not being automatically restored. Also, if I try to install an app through the google play website, nothing happens on my phone.
Is there any solution (apart from installing them manually)?
Sorry for the noobish question.
Thanks

Use titanium backup from market to backup/restore your 3rd party apps(market apps)..
