MiniCM9 Visuals
MiniCM9 Theme:
MiniCM9 theme, is the valid successor for MiniCM6 and MiniCM7 legacy.
It is designed as close as possible to the original specs of ICS, in order to be a lightweight, beautiful alternative to the stock theme. However it is tweaked in several parts of the UI, in order to fit better to x8's device's screen.

Tips to make things faster
* You want to overclock as much as you device can handle. ICS requires more juice to run.
* Remove / Freeze system apps that you don't need, especially DSP Manager
* Install only apps that you need, don't bloat your system
* Consider using a swap partition / file if you got a fast sdcard. Swap will give more memory for the hungry ICS to consume
* Using Zram (Compcache) and KSM is also suggested as they will give you a tad more RAM for your apps. Note that they might also reduce battery life since they require CPU cycles.
* Trebuchet is beautiful but a bit on the laggy side yet. Consider installing another launcher from the market like Apex.
Don't report bugs if you are using thirdparty tools that claim to be boosting the performance (Supercharger, RAM Manager, etc.)

What makes it different from other jelly bean roms? From the pictures it looks the same to me as any other Rom.
How about doing something with the ugly dialer and the microscopic alphabet characters.
Regards.

MD
I have update first post with a new link to mega. Hopefully it does work. Enjoy!
New build is up with the new cm12 theme engine. This means that the standard look with lollipop is back. So if you like the dark design, you should stick with 01/15 version. Hopefully they will implement the dark design (which I personally prefer) pretty soon, or a good dark theme is released. Enjoy!

Thanks for the great work. I recently decided that I had enough of stock ROM, didn't use the extra LG features and tablet became a bit sluggish and running out of disk space due to poor filesystem management I guess.
So, after reading about all the bugs with CM12, I installed LiquidSmooth (I remembered how much fun I had with the ROM in my Samsung SIII days). So far ROM is super stable, extra features are amazing, and it just looks pretty. The only thing I noticed is some lag in the animations, but that could be the tablet itself, although, the switch to CM theme engine could mean that this is how they are trying to address that issue.
All in all, I am looking forward to the updates...

Just remembered, when I was doing initial install, I could not get gapps installed. The package was too big and not enough room in the /system apparently. So I found the tiniest package I could find to get me going. Did anyone else have similar problem? Is there a way to increase the partitions during install or at all?
I will test it

That is weird. I use PA gapps micro, which is about 170mb big. And the ROM itself isn't any bigger than other lollipop ROMs out there.
Which package was you trying to install?

I tried regular size one first 400mb something.
Anyway, after a bit of testing noticed that casting doesn't work at all. It works fine from the Chromecast app but from the notification panel. Can't even see my Chromecast. Will try the new build and report back. I hope it's just as stable.

Okey. I don't think that chromecast from notification panel are working on any lollipop builds at the moment. At least not on our g pad.
Yay it boots! ?
Seems to be running fine.
Next build should be faster and overall better performance and battery life. It will be compiled with sabermod 4.8.4.
@slebit: could you add the advanced reboot option under developper ? (reboot/soft reboot/recovery/bootloader).. not sure if it's easy to add this feature...
can't wait for your next built.. keep up the good work!

Thanks for building this, although I have yet to try it.
Is this built on a 4.2.2. base or a 4.4.2, just asking to avoid brightness issues.
Also is it compatible with either of the two available custom kernels, if people wanted to use them...?

This is based on 4.2.2. Some people have problems with brightness if they use 4.4.2 based kernel with 4.2.2. I have actually never had any problems myself. But I guess some people might have.
The two compatible kernels will work, but might have some problems with brightness if you use 4.2.2 base. So if you would like to run one of these kernel, I would suggest that you use 4.4.2 base.

Did you do a full clean install and use slim gapps, and not some aroma gapps?
I haven't seen that issue in testing or from anyone here yet.
This ROM is perfect so far with NO issues for me. I was having trouble with Resurrection and Candy5 5.1.1 rom w/ process.phone kept crashing every 5 mins which caused late text, and drop calls. I am using T-Mobile service on my VS985 but this ROM no issues at all and many thanks for bringing to us, almost gave up on 5.1.1 till it was perfected a bit

That's most likely the issue and why I said not to use aroma. Some needed files from the stock messenger were not installed, which causes other apps that depend on them, not to work.
Ok will retry
Is there a happy that uses only the Google apps

modifying ROM inquiry
had a question.. in the past when i have downloaded the ROM zip file.. i was able to open the file and delete any extra apps that I do not use (google search, music etc..) before flashing it..
but when i browse ur zip/ROM file.. i just see a "system.new.dat" file and not the individual system or applications apk
is this the new format going fwd for 5.1.1 ROM's or just how u make them?

That's how lollipop build is compiled and why would you wanna delete any apps from ROM zip? Hardly any there to start with mostly mainly system files that's why you flash gapps etc. If you wanna delete any apps use a file manager.
i've formated F2FS on /cache , /data and /system , working flawlessly. Right now it's amazing ROM Few ideas :
- wake/menu gesture control (no external app seems to be working)
- google camera linked with playstore
Only problem i got so far is button backlight. Buttons glow when screen is off. Turning ambient display off in diplay settings fixes this.

Wasn't a attitude problem just some people don't read feature list before asking a question, the ROM is early days and I'm still new the open source development so a lot is a learn curve too...
