I am wondering if there is any app to turn on wifi and check for new emails and then turn off wifi regularly (say, every 10 minutes)? Thanks!

Is anyone else experiencing the wifi settings to crash? My wifi works fine for a few minutes but suddenly I lose signal and when I go to wireless and network settings, it crashes and I am out of signal. Anyone know of a solution for this?
Thanks!
Have you tried Regpon?
Also, I've had success with this simple task:
In Wi-Fi settings, "forget" the router you're trying to connect to. Then shut off Wi-Fi.
Wait 10 seconds or so then turn Wi-Fi back on.
I found this workaround when searching for Wi-Fi problems on this board. No problems, now. If you get a FC for Settings, select "wait" until you've successfully gotten the settings to "forget" the connection and until you've got Wi-Fi shut down.

I tried this but still continues =/
In my case I tried to "forget" the WIFI password setting to access to the router, and restart your touchpad, and when finished booting the WIFI is back to normal then
The only inconvenient thing is you have to "forget" the password every time you shutdown or restart your touchpad.....
I think the reason for this wifi problem is that wifi's channel cannot be set up normal, I have seen it in my advanced setting of wifi, there are only three channels available for me to choose, which are 11 12 and 14.......
Also make sure you have your date, time and time zone set in settings.
Under settings/wifi/advanced, I have "keep wifi on during sleep" set to always. Yet after being off for a while, wifi seems to turn off. That is, upon waking phone from sleep, I can see it reconnecting to wifi, THEN my email is downloaded (k9 set to imap push). This indicates the above setting is not being respected.
Under "settings/more/usage/mobile network" is also set to on. This would suggest that even when wifi is not available, 3g/4g would still be used. This also does not seem to be the case. When waking the phone from sleep, I can see it reconnecting to 3g, then immediately connecting to wifi.
The goal is to have data enabled, even when the phone is sleeping so email can be received. The old evo 4g had a setting to keep data on even when phone was asleep.
Suggestions?

Is there an app that lets me automatically turn on wifi when I try to connect to the Internet and after a while not using it to disable it? I really need that because I hate toggling wifi and sometimes my sister doesn't disable it and my battery is drained :-[
Tasker
Tasker Wiki
You can create a profile that your wifi starts as soon as the browser is open.
You can also decide when the wifi should be terminated.
I have tried it. Iys very good but I have a problem : When I close Google play or browser or anything wifi closes too. Also if I am inside an app and I press for example share to Facebook I see no connection error and I have to close the app turn on wifi and re-open the app and it's annoying! Is there a sensor in tasker about Internet connection?
Change the wifi advanced settings.
Go to Wi-Fi, then press Menu key then select Advanced Settings. There you can change Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep setting.
Depending on your phone you might even have other interesting options there, such as Wi-Fi timer.
Just set the auto sleep in Wi-Fi settings. This will only disable Wi-Fi when it isn't used
Sent from note, a phone like never before
Think that doesn't work :-\
Try Llama
the same concept of Tasker it is free and good
Is there any app so that I can turn off wifi for some apps like for example today I don't want to get disturbed on whatsapp so I turn the wifi connection off for that app but I still want to use wifi for other stuff like games or reddit.
Thank you

I've noticed the watch doesn't seem to maintain wifi connectivity nor does cloud sync appear to work. As soon as I'm out of bluetooth range, the watch shows disconnected. I've re-entered the wifi password numerous times but it refuses to remain connected to it. Has anyone else experienced this? Any thoughts on how to resolve?
Have you checked your wifi timeout? I think the max is 180 minutes. Mine was disconnecting and then disabling it after timeout. I changed it to 180 and it's better, not perfect because it times out while i'm at work. Definitely improved when around my house.
