Hi,
i hope anyone from here can help me i think i have bricked my Phone.
I had a rooted phone with Modaco Rom and wanted to switch to DarchLegend or DarchDroid but i couldnt install one of them, i had only a boot-loop.
so i thought my RA-recovery-image is the problem, so i have installed the one from Darchrom with adb on my sdcard.
But now the recover image isnt working and also my phone have a boot-loop.
the only thing i have is fastboot but i cant do something like "fastboot boot image.img" because i get not allowed: remote.
any suggestions?
You could try flashing an old RUU again and start the rooting process from scratch?Did you do a full wipe before flashign the darchdroid rom?

I recently unlocked the bootloader and rooted the HTC Jetstream. I wanted to change the apns.xml file in the framework-res.apk. It's been awhile since I've done anything with an android device and I forgot to install CWM. I was in a rush and had done this a few times so I didn't think anything about it.
Now the tablet is stuck in a bootloop. I can get to HBOOT and therefore Fastboot, factory reset, etc. I even ran the factory reset but I'm still stuck in the bootloop. I came across this link so I could download a "stock" ROM, but the instructions call for CWM which I don't have. I was hoping that I could flash this ROM with Fastboot, but since I've never done this I wanted the opinion of an experienced Android user.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Can you get ADB to recognize you tablet at all?

Unfortunately no. I think maybe the factory restore took away the USB debugging.
But since I have access to fastboot, I think I can flash a new system.img correct? And since I downloaded the "stock" ATT ROM it has the system directory. Only it isn't a system.img file.
I found another link that says this to create a system image like this:
sudo mkfs.cramfs temp/ system.1.5.img
sudo umount stock-system
sudo umount temp
So if I was to do this could I then flash via fastboot like this?
fastboot flash system system.img
Thanks for your time

My Jetstream is now back to normal. I used the information in this post.
Once I downloaded the files from the link I had to plug the tablet into my PC and put the it in fastboot mode and relock the bootloader "fastboot oem lock". The tablet turned off and I had to put it back into HBOOT mode. Run the .exe file that came with the download. Here I ran into a little trouble because the .exe file couldn't find my device. So I had to reinstall the drivers. After that just follow the prompts from the .exe file and I was good to go.
Im stuck in a pickle. I tried to update to neutrino 2.8 but got caught in a boot loop. I followed instructions that worked last time and tried to repair my recovery and it wiped the recovery and all other system data, but fastboot wont reboot or install the recovery image it only wipes the and formats. help please
Your details are not that clear. Either you are not using fastbook incorrect, or you have somehow borked the bootloader/
If the latter, you can try using RSDlite to reflash the bootloader. See the threads on how to unlock your bootloder for these steps. This is as close to going back to square one as you can.
BTW, you might also say how you did this. If just using CWM to install zips it is really hard to screw up your recovery.
I am trying to use fastboot to flash a recovery But when i flash the recovery i get
error cannot load recovery
or
waiting on device
But it will sucessfully wipe and format, just not flash or for some reason reboot the phone
I have it figured out to the point where now i try to flash the recovery and it hangs at
Waiting for Device
I tried everything i can think of
reboot
Re-install drivers
re download file
First of all i've been searching for a way to fix this for hours now without a solution.
My problem is as follows:
i installed official miui beta and got stuck with a boot loop, i was running 4text recovery but i wanted to try something different so i flashed twrp recovery in fastboot. however whenever i try to go into recovery now it just reboots and goes into boot loop again, so i cannot access recovery or boot into my rom.
I have tried flashing several recoverys via fastboot but each time it just reboots and does not enter recovery.
i have also tried rebooting into recovery using fastboot reboot recovery and adb reboot recovery but still it didn't work.
i have flashed another boot.img but now it just gets stuck on miui screen instead of boot loop
is there any way i can get any recoverys to work? i have tried looking for a 4text recovery.img as 4text was the last recovery to work but i can only seem to find the app that flashes it.
i have also tried flashing a rom through fastboot by typing fasboot flash zip rom.zip but it just says failure.
i am now downloading RUU_SHOOTER_U_ICS_35_S_HTC_Europe_3.28.401.1_radio_11.77.3504.00U_11.25.3504. and am going to try rename it to PG86IMG and update through bootloader after relocking it and then unlocking it again but i am not sure that will work.
in short i flashed a new recovery but it just reboots device when i try and enter it and the rom i am on happens to be stuck on boot loop so i cannot get in rom or recovery and flashing a new recovery does not work.
BTW i am S-ON HBOOT-1.49.0018
sorry for the lengthy post and also any grammatical errors as i am tired

The whole problem, which is always the problem is you are S-ON. The MIUI rom will NOT run unless you install the newest firmware. You cannot install the newest firmware with S-ON because it is locked up in a partition that you cannot access unless you go s-off.
Has nothing to do with the recovery. I've been using 4ext recovery pretty much the whole time I've owned my EVO 3d and never had one single problem with it.
There are roms you can run with s-on but not the MIUI one.

cool, didn't know that, my problem now then is how can i reflash a different rom, bearing in mind that i cannot access recovery? do you think putting the pg86img stock ruu thingy on my sd and letting bootloader install that will work?

I do believe that if you are s-on, you should be able to relock the phone and then run the rru from your computer.

My next step was to relock it and run the ruu through bootloader, can you do it through computer/fastboot?
Sorry, I haven't been on the forum for a while.
Read the following link,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1194053&highlight=relock
It should help you with the process.
The rru file you have should be an executable file that the name ends with "signed.exe" if memory serves. I do believe you can run this from your windows desktop if you are using windows. The link above has the adb command to use to relock the phone.
Once you are up and running again, you can install an ics rom even if you have s-on. I am running one but there are a few steps you need to do in the correct order so you don't end up where you are.
Good luck and have a great weekend!
Here is another good link to do what you are wanting to do.

This might be even easier for you.

I KNOW I SHOULD POST THIS IN MY NON-EXISTANT DEVICE FORUM,
but there is like no community there and I figured I would get a faster answer here.
I have an LG Mytouch Q C800 and I accidentally applied an OTA update with CWM installed. Since then I have been in a CWM bootloop, unable to boot into normal android. I dont think I can access fastboot or ADB. I have tried reflashing the stock ROM and everything. Can anyone help?

man the same thing happende to me, the only way i could partially recover my phone was flashing clockwork mod and from there install Cianogenmod 9, then in recovery mode conected to the pc via cable and typed:
"adb reboot bootloader"
once in Fastboot mode typed:
"fastboot boot boot.img"
where boot.img is the file contained in the cyanogenmod .zip file, doing this i managed to boot the rom and use my phone, the problem is that anytime it restarts it gets stuck in the boot loop again, and i have to repeat the process for it to boot again, i think is a bootloader problem since i have virtually done anything else, i think that the OTA update from tmobile changes something on the bootloader and it forces recovery/update boot always, and since the OTA never was completed it never got back to it's original state, its´s just my theory, i´m looking into it, but for now my phone works!.
Solution
I found a solution for the lg c800 bootloop, se my post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39453347&postcount=10
Hi guys, I have stumbled upon a problem and any help found here is not helping. I have decided to finaly root moto E (I thought I am too old for rooting now, but I am not) and the problem I got is pretty simple.
Bootlocked unlock is ok.
But then I decided not to reflash stock recovery and just to boot into recovery for once to flash superSU to avoid martyrium caused by getting original recovery (since HTC different retarded versions for every country and every retailer, I am very cautious). I have tried 2 versions of TWRP, one CWM, after "fastboot boot recovery.img" phone boots forever, never finishes, but phonw is fully operational still, so no damage done. I have even tried to reflash recovery in the end, none of them worked. Well, command prompt told me OKAY OKAY, but nothing really happened, like while just booting into recovery. I have even tried several USB cables (happened once with desire X that everything was due to broken USB cable).
I am out of ideas, could please someone point me to some direction of what is wrong?
It runs 4.4.4

Please post screenshot of terminal.
Try these steps
1: adb reboot bootloader
2: fastboot devices
3: fastboot flash recovery name-of-the-recovery.img
not at pc atm,but as I said, devices list my device, fastboot flash gives okay twice, same as fastboot boot, and reboot bootloader... I think it would not help me at all, bootloader is accesible
edit: adb reboot recovery does notghing else than manualy booting into recovery (=nothing)
I didn't pay attention to HTC part, recently I faced same problem after flashing recovery and worst part was when I did Factory Reset. It got stuck on forever Boot Loop. Try this Go through Recovery 1. Wipe Dalvik Cache 2. Factory Reset. This worked for me hope same for you. And correct me if I couldn't get your problem.
