This was cooked using DCD 2.2.1 rom. I know there is a new ver. out I have had the
best results out of this rom as far as the memory leak goes. You will need the new
bootloader patch and radio for this to work.
I will be releasing the Kitchen shortly that I have been using to cook and test out
roms that I build. I will need people from other carriers to help out with the beta
testing if any one wants to helpout just send a pm.

Thks, Im changing the pagepool alittle to see if i can get the internet to run alittle better and will be updating all the software. still need to test a couple of days mayby by sunday i should have a little bit better tweaked ver. up.
Also if any other carriers out there want to try this out I will change out the carrier files for you just let me know, Also keep in mind if all the bugs look like there are out for this I will up the kitchen I use with the carriers

Man this rom is just running so fast on mine. I love it!! Thanks alot. All I really added was Inav, Flashlight,battery meter, and Seven Push mail to it. Works great.
Im glad it works for you, tonight i will put up another ver of this rom with a couple of reg edits, that should help out with gps finding sats. and a couple of other edits for the Internet.
My GPS works just fine. What will be the change? Also the main reason I like this rom is that the MMS works great.
Do you have the CAB for the battery meter? Thats the one thing I really am missing from my phone..

As far as the 4.2 I haven't been able to get the pic to work agian since i got it that one day but im still working on it with different settings.

Your kitchen works great! However, one problem.....whenever I receive text messages, I don't get the alert tone. The sliding sound is also not working. My profile is set to normal. Receiving a phone calls works fine. Any Ideas?

When i receive a text message, the phone will only vibrate. You can hear the speaker turn on, but it would not give the alert sound.....could it be the alert file i missing?
go under sound and notifaction settings and look there

freeze after flash
flash my one today and it freeze after loading into OS. You can't do anything except it need to soft reset and it start all over again. Have to flash it back to telstra ROM update.

This worked perfectly with my Telstra HTC Touch dual (Neon) device.
For any other newbies like me, this is all I did-
Took my brand new Telstra Australia Touch Dual.
Installed the Neon Hard-spl here-

Then just installed the rom in this thread. It works great, though i've lost my Office Mobile apps.
I had no sound at all on the first boot, but after reboot (and it does tell you to reboot again) everything was fine.

woops one issue
An update on my install, I did actually end up having issues where as soon as a call was made or received all sound stopped working (which obviously makes calls a problem)
As per the original post, installing the updated Radio which took me from version .15 to .17 seems to have fixed this problem.
So are you saying that this ROM doesn't have

* office apps
* or SOLITAIRE!?
Can they be installed afterwards or anything?

Okay so I freaked a little when the camera stopped working and my guitar tuner wouldn't work, but it turned out I had to update the radio and that fixed both problems. It does seem to be smoother too.
Office apps are there, solitaire is there, but alas no video calling.
Can you get a third party app to do that, or will we have to re-flash the ROM if and when you add the 3G dialer?
I'm getting a bit sick of this hard reset rigmarole - although I am getting much more efficient at it!
Appreciate your work Seth - keep it up. BTW, the ROM update seems to have fixed my 'not waking up from standby' issues.

You can use User Customization, works for me you only have to run it once after the hard reset and all you've configured will be setup. Maybe if Seth is really nice he will include it in his rom the next time so you don't have to run it manually. The ROM is working great - no lockups at all since installing it.
I seem to have conflicting information about Bluetooth being affected by radio ROMs - what's your opinion? The reason I ask is that my bluetooth range is pretty shocking (it won't even go through one thin wall in the next room) and I was thinking that maybe one of the newer radio roms might improve it.
Will the Niki roms on the radio page work in a Neon? Should 1.65x radios work with your ROMs? The 1.65s there seem to be from a Kaiser.
The other thing I've seen is a HTC-supplied 'bluetooth hotfix' for the TytnII - any opinion on that?
We'll hang out for your video calling CAB/ROM too. Not that I ever really video call, but if someone asks 'can you do video calling?' I want to be able to say that I can... ;-b

I haven´t had much time to play with Radios. I´m using the radio of my post and my bluetooth is fine. The range is excellent, i live on the second floor and i still can get my cars bluetooth out the back in the carpark.

VIDEO DIALER: didn't work. At all. I installed the cab, soft reset and had no phone dialer whatsoever. I don't mind reflashing the rom if that's what needs to be done - is the rom file on the front page updated with the video dialer? Or if the cab doesn't work will the rom not work too?
RADIO ROMS: it seems that the one you list is the best and latest for the Neon. The Niki ones and the Kaiser ones simply won't load. It's largely irrelevant anyway - because I don't think it's the phones problem...
BLUETOOTH: I faffed around for ages last night doing some tests with my dual and my decrepit old o2 mini (which used to have great bluetooth range) and it seems that the problem may be with the transmit power on my *computer* rather than on the dual. I left my dual next to my laptop at one end of the house, and then went to the other end of the house and did a search with the o2 mini. it found the dual but NOT the computer. I swapped phones and searched with the dual from the other end of the house and the same thing happened. So the phones have good range to each other, but they're both having trouble finding the computer.
I'm just waiting to get my hands on another laptop with bluetooth and then I can see if I need to call the good folk at Dell to replace my bluetooth module perhaps.
I'm also wondering if the laptop has gotten into its head that it's a 1m device instead of a 10m device. It's strange that I've only noticed it since getting my new phone, and now the old phone seems to have limited range too.
Anyways, blah blah blah - please let me know if you get any further with the video dialling in either the rom or the cab - and/or if there's anything you'd like me to test out for you.

I will do two things tonight.
1 - I'll flash this Rom back on my device, i'm currently using SETHS DIAMOND V2 Build 19214.1.0.4. And i'll try to work out why the Cab doesn't work.
I'll rebuild this rom and include the video dialer if point one fails.

In the interests of 'giving something back' - here's a handful of splash screens for the diamond and the neon for you to take or leave...
Your 'logo' is supposed to be a square ROM chip but with griddle lines over it (you're a chef, after all). It also happens to be an 'S'.
If you want any further tweaks or raw files let me know.

Hi jbng,
Thanks for the wonderful images. The only program i know that can overwrite system files is Total commander. Just copy the file to your storage card and then use total commander to overwrite.
If that doesn´t work i posting 4 cabs on my latest Neon Rom for who ever wants to use your great artwork.
Regarding the Video dialer i just realized that RV1 has video calling, only the public beta didn´t. Please update your rom to either V1 or V"2.

I noticed there was no active development that was trying to get the standard AOSP build working, which I really would like to use as my day to day ROM....so I decided to give it a shot. Feel free to help
I use the Ninphetamine kernel and a clockwork recovery initramfs. The initramfs has been altered and will not boot with other ones. This is because of a missing socket that the older init.rc doesn't make.
I'll be using the next post to describe what I'm working on and update it with any useful info I find.

AdamG has made devnull (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1183063&highlight=devnull) which is basicly the AOSP build. Some stuff not working though as the CM7 team has not managed to get audio over bluetooth working.
He has also started the Oxygen development. The oxygen thread is here: http://www.forums.acsyndicate.net/showthread.php/1591-ROM-AOSP-GRJ90-2.3.5-Oxygen-v2.2.1
Good to hear others working on this too, hope you manage to get bluetooth audio issue sorted and perhaps help other AOSP / CM7 devs with that issue.

Ah, yeah, I forgot about that one. I'll be leaving it completely stock AOSP though (when it works well anyways). Might speed things up for me a bit. I am doing this as a sort of hobby too, interesting to learn how it works.
EDIT: It WILL speed things up a great deal....DevNull did some great work.

Edit: If AdamG had taken a break, maybe you should think to fork devnull. This speeds up work and you can focus another thinks etc A2DP and tvout. Its open source
I have been using CM7 as well as Devnull/Oxygen and I felt Oxygen was very stable, while CM7 26 was the most stable for me while 31 made my me turn back to Oxygen.
My sincere request, kindly take over from where Adam left Will be a great boon for us!

Is there a way to enable mic adjusting(gain) for outgoing calls on Dell Streak?
My mic volume is somewhat poor, the other one can hear me, but i need to speak a bit louder in order to hear me...I'm using CM7 with DSC Test 2 Kernel.

From what i've read here, it has something to do with the kernel and libaudio.so, but i don't know how i could impelement this...
Use the DSC Gain app from the DSC ROM. I believe _n0p_ has made it available separately, and thus the ROM thread should have a link.
DSC Gain controls only output hardware controls for speaker, bt, and headset, not for mic gain, and that is what i really want, the thing that transmits the signal from the mic to the other side of the line when talking...

mic voltage is already at maximum in the kernel. It has values 0-7 (0 is the highest), so i simply cannot set it any higher.
Could it be a problem from CM7?
I am planning to go back to DSC because of this and SMS problem, i'm starting to have problems with recieving messages, i had the problem of sending SMS's but solving by setting GSM only setting...
Also, should i try to clean the mic?

DSC won't help you with mic issue. I had complains about not hearing me from time to time since i got the Streak. Have tried orienting device so mic is close to mouth?
I have tried, and now it's a habit, i have found the best positions for both hands in order to get myself heard a bit...
How should i clean it? I'm not really gonna' try with a toothpick or something that could damage the mic for good...
So the best option seemed to be a software gain...
And here is where the help needs to kick in...

I found some interesting things in q6audio.c, one line (535) contains audio_tx_volume function, and after some studying, i found that tx is for all mic's and rx is for all speakers (tx - input / rx - output), well, this isn't much, but i posted again to ask something...also, i found something about "default.acdb" that file seemed to store something about those volumes, but i'm unable to find this file in streak, so is either renamed, or there is another way to handle the whole process...(i bet on renaming )...
After i make the changes, how can i implement them in streak?
Or, how can i make some changes in order to be implemented in streak?
Do i need to make the changes in another way somewhere in postboot?
(not really experienced in this kind of stuff..)

Unfortunately I don't use DSC Gain despite using DSC 1.1. At least it didn't hurt to try it.
I hope there is a solution for you out there.
Fun, i beleive Tx stands for Transmit Data and Rx - for Recieve Data.
After some researching TX/RX stands for Transmitter/Receiver... So i think i'm getting closer and closer
I still don't know what to do with what i found, and i don't know how to implement something here... I'm scratching my head and scratching le Google ..After all this research if i can call it like this, i think the parameters and volumes are stored in the "default.acdb", which i can't find in streak, i've been studying online versions of "q6audio.c" (supernova-kernel-dz, HTC Desire GB open source kernel), now i'm trying to figure how to build something using instrutions provided on opensource.dell, and other places... I think this is a good place to really put me on the right path

My device is Redmi Note 4X black 3/32GB. I have an issue with the microphone not working, but only during phone calls and only when using the built-in earpiece for communication. Switching to loudspeaker mode or plugging hands-free makes it work again.
This issue is reproducible only on custom AOSP based ROMs, but works as expected on Mi A1 ported ROM and on official and customized MIUI.
It's kinda strange, because some guys here don't encounter such problems with either the RN4(SD) or the RN4X(SD), both code-named "mido".

My device is Redmi Note 4X black 3/32GB. I have an issue with the microphone not working, but only during phone calls and only when using the built-in earpiece for communication. Switching to loudspeaker mode or plugging hands-free makes it work again.
This issue is reproducible only on custom AOSP based ROMs, but works as expected on Mi A1 ported ROM and on official and customized MIUI.
It's kinda strange, because some guys here don't encounter such problems with either the RN4(SD) or the RN4X(SD), both code-named "mido".

Oh, nvm! Sorry.
I have same problem and dont find a solution.
I've found some sort of a workaround for this issue. The problem described in the thread is kinda different than mine, but seems to fix my problem too. It's in this XDA thread. All i did was flashing the two zip files from zile995: fix-audio-*-zile995.zip at the bottom of the OP.
As I said, this is a workaround, not a fix. If you know some of the maintainers for the device tree for LOS, feel free to mention them in this thread. I could make a fix proposal miself, but I don't have the time to invest in this. However if no progress is observed in the next couple of week, maybe I'll try to make it work and propose a fix to be pushed to upstream, so no more dirty flashes of patches to be required for the mic to work properly during a phone call.

Edit: I have test and its work but i dont have lte and the other side say the volume is very low.

Tested ot on LOS 14.1 and RR Nougat, in my case LTE works and the other guy says it's too loud. How come?
I have test with latest rr too. I dont know what is the problem. In the other Thread i have see there is a v6. I will test with this. Have you install both fix after install Rom direct?

Yup! It's not necessary, though. Flashing the v2 version is sufficient in my case. build.prop version does nothing. I'll play with it further during the weekend.

The property 'persist.vendor.audio.fluence.voicecall' should be set to 'false' instead of 'true'.
In the Official and all MIUI based ROMs it's set to false, but in all AOSP based ones it's set to true, which breaks in-call audio for alot of people, at least the ones with newer revisions of the board. So next I'll try to fork the device tree from the LOS project and modify it accordingly and build the ROM with it and see if it finally works out of the box.
Oh, such a relief! The mic finally works when calling people.
Could you please try and report? You're not supposed to, though. Flashing roms and testing configs can be annoying sometimes.

done editing to false, now incall is nice but i hear low voice from other party in speakerphone mode although volume is full. ?
but it was more than enough since i dont use speakerphone mode that much

fyi, i clean flashed PixelExperience 8.1 ROM right after i arrived at work
setting this and that, root the phone using latest Magisk, install Root Explorer and did what you have wrote on post #12 and yes, i did not use any patch, just your workaround
Reboot the phone, test calling and i smile very wide.
one thing i found, setting up Google Assistant can't be done
it told me to say "Ok Google" but the app didn't hear me
so i change all of the "almost identical" line to false, like this....

persist.vendor.audio.fluence.voicerec=false
persist.vendor.audio.fluence.speaker=false

Google Assistant recognize my voice now
But the speakerphone mode stay the same, the voice from the other end aren't loud enough.

Last night i look at latest xiaomi.eu build prop and i decide to get all audio related lines and overwrite the related lines in pixel experience's rom build.prop
