Can someone run Cleartype on their device with the new ROM, and tell me what it is like.
To put it into context...
I use Cleartype.
With my O2 ROM, Cleartype is sharp, yet smooth edged fonts, easy to read, with a consistant colour - black looking for dark text, clear white for light text.
When I finally managed the new Danish Orange ROM upgrade, I found cleartype to be a nightmare - black text was blue edged and blurred, white text was yellow edged and unclear, and the letters on the number keys on the phones virtual dial pad were distorted and yet blurred.
So before I spend hours trying to crack this upgrade, I would like users experiences please?

Yep, i mean the latest 1.66.00WWE from Dangaard.
It doesn.t show up on all text, it seems to be dependent on the type of font used or something.
I suppose it 'l be fixed in the future...
I remember my iPaq 5550 having a cleartype tuner, one would assume that this setting could be tweaked via the registry ?
I must say that the overall stability of this new update is better than the 1.60 i used before.
Maybe, but if I can't read when Cleartype is on, it's no good to me.

What's exactly the issue with that Clear Type thing?
I upgraded from Daangard 1.60WWe to the 1.66WWe (Orange DK), set ClearType on and I must admit that if it weren't for the repeated posts saying there's an issue about blue pixels on black fonts, I would never have really noticed.
I don't plan to update to 1.66WWE from QTEK since it's a generic update, will just get me the exact same OS rom than Orange, so ... Waiting for a 2003SE update.
If there IS an issue with Cleartype, on the ROM you upgrade to, you don't need to have it explained.

Updated 1.66 Extended ROM but device stays in "serial m
Hi Guys
i updated my MDAII with qtek ROM V 1.66 (all 3 files) and it worked perfect.
after this i modified the extended rom file with ER2003Edit (last release) and flashed ONLY the extended ROM to the device.
after "congratialtions screen" appeared i made an hardreset but the device shows "serial" on the screen!?
also after disconnecting from battery for a view minutes the "serial" screen appeared again!!
can anybody give me a hint how to solve this problem?
can anybody tell me if i can upgrade from a MDA II t-mobile dutch 1.60 to Qtek 1.66?

I think ExtROM is also an important part of upgrading the phone's ROM because I think from what I have read that it makes it possible to use certain provider functions so I am looking for where to get the ExtROM version 2.11.255.105 so that I can have certain functions on my TyTN. I am planning to upgrade my WM5 to WM6 and would also like to be able to write special characters for my language for example, å,ä, ö and so on. Does anyone know where & how I can get that?
Or does anyone think this ExtROM could be extracted from my previous ROM? I could send my WM5 ROM-2.11.255.2 if it could be extract

Thanks for the link but the extended rom im looking for isnt there... could it be possible to extract it from my present ROM? I want to install it after upgrading with the 838Pro_HK_ENG_WM6_Upgrade_20070712 ROM.

Sorry fore delaying. Yes u can flash your ExtRom to Wm6.
Yes u can still typing ö ä å but u must have an extra file. install this file witch is fore Nordic hard kbd. Actually u can install it on SD If u want 1.8Mb. U can find the Finish input “dictionary” and T9 text inputif u searching good

I think the Extended_ROM you are looking for is from the last HTC WM5 build; I have it at home and could post it in about 3 hours.

I have installed this new ROM.
I haven't noticed anything new yet (but It was just installed a few minutes ago...)
Any ideas what the improvements are ?
EDIT : so far i have noticed a few bug fixes (like when clicking on the battery icon u really get the powermeter now !) and an overall speed performance increase (video streaming is better - exploring the windows folder is much faster - etc. or maybe that's just because now I have a new clean install but I don't think this can be the only explanation).
Someone can Upload this rom?

It's Chinese. So unless you have the Iolite CID unlocked or a Chinese Iolite it's not possible to install this ROM.
Is there any way to change language to Polish in Iolite`s english WM 6.1 ? I`m looking for two weeks for complete polish rom to iolite`s. Please help.

This is Traditional Chinese ROM upgrade for Iolite.
If you did not buy the Iolite in Taiwan, you will not be able to download from HTC directly.

I read many posts about this, but i aint able(after 3 hardresets) to enable landscape mode on my HD2.
I want the Manila like on my Xperia X1 with a custom rom(Thank to the cooks, i love ya . When i pull out the keyboard every tab was in landscape.
The HD2 should do it when i turn the phone into landscape mode.
I first tried this:

i think your manila version does not support landscape... you may need to upgrade.

If You want, check my *.cab for my ROM PLK (Manila 2.5.20181527) with landscape dialer. ROM base 3.14 with Menu start on top (build 21916). After install You must soft reset.
upgrade to the new 3.14 rom , install bsb tweaks,enable landscape mode and install this cab.to device.........enjoy

Hi all,
I would like if someone can help me find somewhere the original UK orange room WM6.1 on the net or save that somewhere for me. Im looking for a day now and and liknks posted here looks dead. I need that room do unlock my phone as i have already flashed other room and when i boot the phone with other sim the request for unlock not poping up anymore. I think i need the original room and all will work out.
Pleas anybody on megaupload or rapidshere or somewhere just put the original UK orange room WM 6.1 and 6.5 i dnont know whitch one will work.

EDIT: ANYONE IN FUTURE: This is NOT original ROM - try NOT to flash it if you can get original 6.5 off toshiba website. if not PM me and will be happy to upload it for you. This rom is translated from non-English lang - when you use few apps they show Italian plus is buggy. PLEASE DONT USE IT UNLESS YOU HAVE TO. Get ORIGINAL from Toshiba Website instead.
Im not sure if official room have this toshiba strips as well coze this one not as original 6.1ver but it has all the original orange staff and i was able to unlock my phone with this room. I hade some Rooms with Sense installed but battery drain far to fast in 4.or 5 hours but with this room i was using the phone for couple of hours even with wifi and battery still in about 90% so it looks very good to me. I would like to tray some debranded rooms and well see.

Atm, no cab file exist.the stripes in wm 6.# are better than 6.5 coz of the animations. I made a post on this a while back. Somebody was going to take up the job for it.i think it was novembre5
