Hey I'm looking for a replacement styles, preferably one that is a black pen as well.
The T-Mobile Wing isn't listed as compatible but do you think this would work: http://store.xda-developers.com/seidio-stylus-3-in-1-treo-750.html ?
Anyone know where I can purchase a stylus that is also a pen for the T-Mobile Wing?
possibly. The treo might have a different size stylus slot than yours. If it helps, theres another topic in this forum that has what you're looking for. Just ask the guy where he bought it.
i'd suggest ebay, normally im not a fan of this online auction site but when purchasing some like stylus you can't really get ripped off, plus you'll only be able to get third party stylus and not OEM so it doesn't matter anyway.
I ordered a 3 pack of these bad boys from amazon; $13 shipped for 3 is much better than boxwave's $16 shipped for one...now we need to see if they fit properly!
http://www.amazon.com/FosmonĀ®-Premium-Quality-T-Mobile-Ballpoint/dp/B003752IWI
I will report back once they arrive =)
Can't guarantee those will, but I CAN guarantee that these will. The ORA Stylus from Expansys-USA and for less than $12 (sans shipping).
Boxwave tried to poo-poo these when I asked how come a single boxwave pen/stylus cost as much as a three-pack of these.
I have the three-pack for my Sprint Touch Pro2. First batch were defective, and even before I said anything Expansys-USA admitted they had sent me defective ones and replaced them.
Never an issue since.
Please write back and say if these fit your Sprint (CDMA) Touch Pro2 and how well they work. Always need new styli.
Did you recieve the stylus yet???
Is it a PERFECT fit?

I bought a 3 pack. Yes, they fit just like the originals. They are very slightly different when inserted, but it is not noticeable. They work just like the OEM; when I remove the stylus the device unlocks.
yup they fit Tmobile tp2 perfectly and for roughly $4 delivered each boxwave can suck it sideways!
any pics of how they fit externally? you said there is a minimal difference with the OEM stylus..
fosmon fits tp2 just fine
i finally got my 3 pack today. took 2 weeks as the first shipment to me was lost. In short these guys are exactly the same length as the original however the steel barrel is of a smaller diameter. Looks like they simply used a high quality pen cartridge and cut it down to fit, then added the plastic tips at both ends. 3 for $14 I cant *****. I would recom recommend.
Will this stylus fit AT&T Tilt2? Probably it will, just want to be sure
I bought these from Expansys USA and they fit like a charm. Even before I was able to complain that the pens weren't working, I received an email from Expansys USA that they had sent me defective pens and replaced them with no questions asked.
Stylus fits fine. It's a great thing to have a pen when you need one.
Thanks! Needed to know this. Just bought a stylus for my Tmobile TP2, but it was the sprint branded one...lets just say I had to "modify" it to make it work. Now I can get three that look right for less than the $21 shipped that HTC charges for their 3 pack!
Wow, awesome find! Just ordered mine, can't wait...!
Fits my VzW TP2, but...
The Fosman metal stylus fit my VzW TP2, but it initially caused some weird behavior. I have stylus lock engaged so my device will not wake up, etc., with stylus. The device ignored the lock with the Fosman stylus! Finally got it working by unloading and reloading device lock.
Worse still, the ink dried up after only a couple of weeks and literally less than 20 words written. Since that was the only reason to go with the Fosman, I have gone back to the OEM stylus. (Yes, I know I got a 3-pack, but what good is a pen that dries up after a couple of uses?) I should have thought about it -- look how small the barrel is for any ink reservoir ...
Where'd you buy it?

I bought mine at Expansys-USA and they replaced it saying that they had shipped me a defective set. No questions asked and the new set don't dry up.
I got that same pack on Amazon for 9.99 + 3 for shipping the fit and work great.
http://www.amazon.com/FosmonĀ®-Premium-Quality-T-Mobile-Ballpoint/dp/B003752IWI
You can also order them from tmobile's site for 9.99 + 6 shipping and taxes.
http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/addons/Accessories/Default.aspx?categorycode=24
Do they fit in the tilt 2?
Just got mine in from Amazon.com for 9.99 + 3 for shipping as well. They fit great and still work w/ stylus sensor and writes well. We'll see how long the ink lasts...
anyone know where i could buy a stylus with ball point for the normal touch pro2 on ebay? because hard to purchase when in in Australia. Thanks
I made my own out of a htc stylus some melted plastic a file and a black paint marker. I just ordered the fosmon one thanx everyone for letting me know this one works.
Hi, I have had touch pro and touch pro 2 devices - both with stylus attached-with both styluses worked fine.
You can find advertised cogitive stylus for Hero on ebay (they write that it works on iphone too), but I did not try any...
However today got one cheep stylus. It is like plastic pen with black rubber ending -similar to eraser on pen...
Works just if you push rather hardly with significant power and rather is not comparable to that from touch pro...
Did anybody met decent stylus working on Hero?

I purchased something probably the exact same thing from ebay, luckily i only lost 99p
Dagi stylus

Hi, I bought it for about 6 pounds with additional 1.5 for shipment. They shipped it already and wrote that shipment should take about 7-12 days. I will let you know about experience when receive.
stylus
So I got it and cannot tell that it is a miracle. You still have to press more than with windows based HTC phones and rather fat fingers are better...
...Or install Smartkeyboard ap.
Isn't that because those phones used resistive touch screens? whereas the Hero uses a capacitive touch screen?
Theres a Stylus for the HTC Hero to buy:

Is it me or is everything for the tilt 2 expensive and HARD TO FIND or un available. I love silicon cases right, so I wanted to buy one for my new tilt 2, CANNOT FIND ONE ANYWHERE! I found one for a T-Mobile touch pro 2 but it was black, not fitted for my device, ugly and EXPENSIVE! I tried to look for a spare stylus just in case, on Ebay I found ONE for $15!!!!!!! Tried to get a spare battery cover just in case something happened to mine, CANNOT FIND ONE ANYWHERE! Not on ebay, amazon or anywhere. I ended up ordering the european touch pro's battery cover for $20!! Batteries for the tilt 2 are hard to come across and are as much as $50 for one. I have never had so much trouble finding accessories for a phone as popular as this that is used on 4 MAJOR carriers. The pure, which is only supported on At&t has silicon cases in any color for maximum $5. Battery backs for $5-7 and the other accessories are even cheaper. Does anyone have an explanation for this, sorry for my rage I just need to express my anger towards this predicament.

The issue stems from the fact that each carrier's version of the TP2 is just slightly different enough that many accessories will only work on one or two of them...so that presents the obvious challenge to manufacturers of trying to guess which models it's worth producing compatible accessories (like cases) for.
Boxwave does carry a line of silicone-like cases for the Tilt2, but I don't know if the styling will suit you.
I feel your pain. I want a rubber case for mine and I had thought I found one on ebay (it was the only one listed). I decided to send the seller a message just to make sure that it would fit a Tilt2. He said no, it was just for the TP2, EVEN THOUGH TILT2 WAS IN THE TITLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It does seem like everything is for the TP2 and not the Tilt2. But that's okay, I still love the phone.
Do you think the european touch pro 2 battery back will look okay on the tilt 2? I ordered it but haven't gotten it yet, but on the plus side the annoying PTT button wont be their (YAY FOR ME!). I hope it works..... I also hope my dream of silicon cases will come true
Eh, the PTT button is decidedly ungay. use Rhodium Keyboard Config to map it to do awesome **** like rotate screen on single click, disconnect data on double click, toggle wifi on triple, and bluetooth toggle on hold...
Really? Well, if I could find a Tilt 2 battery cover i'd use it. Otherwise not an option for me....
I'm quite sick of the whole situation myself
I totally feel your pain... and Hell, I live in L.A. where you'd think you should be able to find damn near anything on a shelf somewhere, but not a chance. Not even the AT&T stores here carry anything. If you have a Blackberry or an iPhone, then you have more choices than brains, but for anything HTC, good luck. And sorry, I'm not keen on shopping for some things online and accessories for this phone with so many variables is one of them. Someone is missing out on $$$
Okay, I have succeded a huge feat that only people's wild imaginations could think up. I have completed a challange so difficult, gorrillas and llamas will be terrified to death to think of the trouble and harshness I went through to complete this amazing acomplishment. This is no longer a figment of your imagination but a reality! I have found..... A SILICONE CASE FOR THE TOUCH PRO 2! I was searching in the Amazon for the mysterious silicone case when suddenly it popped out of no where! I found green, black, purple, pink, red, blue, and any other color of the rainbow. I was tempted to attack the deal and was just about to finish and proudly show my trophy when.... Amazon doesn't support paypal.... Oh well. Just a little over exaggeration. I did find them on amazon.com but no paypal support so ima have to wait
This site has silicone and rubberized for the tilt 2. http://www.talkietech.com/athtcti2ac.html
Where? The one I found was made for the t-mobile version and is $6.
If you're willing to do a little trimming (PTT button), then most of the Touch Pro 2 plastic, rubberized and silicone cases can be used.
TP2 Silicone case from a hong kong vendor on e-bay:
sorry I can't post link because I'm a new user.
OOh, put it as the title, put a space between every 3 letters or so. I dont have a ppt button anymore, gave it up for a new battery cover.
Just want to say that all the replacement Wacom pens i've purchased for my Asus EP121 tablet (12.1" Windows 7 Tablet with Capacative/Wacom input like the Note) work just fine on the note And much more comfortable to use than the S-Pen (haven't tried with the holder)
The three i've tested are the stock pen that comes with EP121, the Axiotron Studio, and the Axiotron Digitizer. Picked them up from here: http://www.nationwidesurplus.com/casearch.aspx?SearchTerm=wacom+pen with a 10% discount or so from a coupon code a few months back.
This is going to make it even harder not to carry my tablet with the note since I can tether the tablet to it..
I think any "Wacom Penenabled" pen will work with the device. I've noticed that so far that the eraser works, but the 2nd button does not.
do you know if the pressure sensitivity is more accurate with the wacom pens? The s-pen (at least mine) has almost no travel, seems like off and on.

I didn't even think to try this out. My pen from a HP tx2500 works too! The eraser, pressure sensitivity, and the button works. its a lot easier to use too. Thanks

I didn't even think about this possibility. I have a similar HP laptop with the touch and pen. Forget which model exactly, I have a new laptop now. However, if the pen works with the note when I get it, I'm going to constantly carry it with me unless I'm wearing basketball shorts or sweatpants, as the pen that came with my laptop is a great size and has some weight to it. Thanks for reminding me!

i noticed last week that the wacom stylus for my Fujitsu T4220 works on the Note. i agree with OP, sounds like all wacom stylus' will work with the Note.
and yes, pressure sensitivity is noticed on the Note by this wacom stylus from my Fujitsu...so they probably all do that.
All my thinkpad tablet pens work.

My Intuos2 doesn't work. I'll have to try Intuos3/Cintiq next time I'm at my friend's studio. Any way to disable non-pen drawing input on the S Memo app?
Wacom Intuos4 stylii also don't work on the Note, ah well.

I think you are right
I own an HP Tx2500 and i pulled the pen out of it last night for fun... it also has a clicking button, much like the note...i was able to take a screenshot and pull up the S memo, just like i was using the S Pen. pretty neat
Anybody considering buying a high quality wacom pen? I think if I end up using the S Pen enough that I could see myself buying this:
https://www.wacom.com/en/Store/Pages/Product.aspx?product=KP1302&crumb={A8DA06FA-349A-4FF4-A998-DF0429E676DF}
It's damn expensive, but if I could find a deal somewhere I would definitely drop some cash on one.

Yeah that pen wont work you have to use a pen that works with a Wacom pennable display. These are specific pens that are designed for integrated tablet options. Try looking at IBM pens fore the x61 and above machines. they are all over Ebay and cheap about 15 - 20 dollars a pen. I'm sitting here in a room full of Intuos 3 and 4 pens and none of them actually work on my note, they are not compatible.
I Just tried a friends Cintiq pen, and it did not work on my note. Also tried the pen that came with my first generation 5" wacom tablet it also did not work; did try a pen off a random HP pen tablet in the office and that does work. Not sure what the differences in pen technology are, but obviously there are some.
-Josh
There is a difference in many generations of Wacom pen tech. In my tests all of the Penabled styluses have worked very well. so it seems a good rule of thumb here when considering a higher quality stylus is if its a stylus designed for a Wacom branded product. Or a stylus for a 3rd party product that happens to use Wacom Technology. no first party products have worked in my tests and all 3rd party ones have. Currently I am using the stylus from the Samsung 7 series tablet. Eraser works, button works , a noticeable increase in pressure accuracy and above all else its better shielded to prevent the auto-pressing bug many are facing with the S-pen. I'd be shocked if Samsung doesn't try to market a "S-pen pro" device in the near future.
I purchased my 7 series tablet pen from amazon for about 30 bucks.

REALLY the slate's pen works?? I carry my slate pen everywere in my pocket ready to use on my slate, but i went to a best buy and decided to try my stylus on the note that i saw on display it didn't work =\ , I really hope it really does work because this will be great. But i do have the developers version of the slate, doubt that should make a difference. My note comes in a few days..cross my fingers!
Also for others interested the great thing about the Samsung Slate Stylus is that it has a penclip so i easily clip it to the inside of my pocket and not worry about it falling out.
Wacom "Penabled" pens work, which you'll usually find with tablet PCs. Confirmed with the pen from my Thinkpad X60.
Wacom's regular line of pens, such as from the Bamboo, or the Intuos, do not work.
Note that even the eraser on my Thinkpad pen worked in the Memo app! Very cool.
As a cheaper alternative to the Samsung digitizer pen (for the slate). There is a company called Nationwide Surplus that sells white Axiotron digitizer pens for about $18 with free shipping. It's basically the same thing as the Samsung.
White stylus
They also sell a 3 pack of these for $50.
They sell an Axiotron Studio pen as well which includes a grip. I used to have one of these and they are very nice and comfortable, but might be overkill for the note.
I just ordered a 3-pack of the white stylus to have some stock. They come with extra nib units too. Great deal.
I purchased this one a few days ago on their site, the price was $14.

I would've loved to have gone for one of those Axiotron pens, but I'm particular about my gadgets being black.
I went and opted for this Toshiba pen. At $35 shipped, it was the cheapest black pen I could find. Those Samsung pens started at $40ish shipped, and I like how it looked thinner and more pencil-like than the Samsung.

Cool. Also, if you are in need of another at some point you can search around for a Fujitsu branded one. These pens are all basically the same. And there are deals to be had. No real reason to pay more than $20 for one of these.
