How to remove home screen Calendar? - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I know it's been asked a few times but haven't seen any answers
Can anyone tell me how to remove the Calendar from the home screen... I feel it takes up too much space and I would like to have a cleaner look to my home screen. I would like to remove the quick links from the home screen as well if possible?
Thanks so much in advance!

What is your home application? provide more details
i'm sorry i'm new to this, what is a home application? hmmm.. I'm running a unrooted x10 as of right now... if that helps. Thanks!
The button i was talking about is the center bottom button that becomes a trash can when you try to delete applications from your home screen. I was wondering how I can install shortcuts next to the trash can button. I didnt know x10 was capable of doing this until I used the clean-up.bat that came along with jit. However, I have since factory reset the x1o, and I was wondering how I can get the shortcuts functions back without all the other customized functions that clean-up.bat gives you after you run it. Thanks!

Im assuming you have adw, if so do as i have mentioned below:
Long press empty place of the home screen
select Launcher actions
select Open/close app drawer
Then your icon will appear in the scree, simply drag the icon to desired position on the bottom bar, in your case to the center location
Cheers
What is adw? and how can I find out if I have it or not? when I long press the home screen, it gives me 4 options - shortcuts, widgets, folders, and wallpapers. I do not have launcher actions.... how do I get that? Thanks!
Install LauncherPro, long press the icon, and change the icon, or the function.

When I press the Home button, it takes me to page 3, and not the home page(page 1)

Hi guys,
I just upgraded to the latest Checkrom v4 (from the last version of Checkrom), and now, if I scroll to page 2, and hit the home button, it will take me to page 3, and not page 1 (home page). Do you guys know why?
Input is greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

Hi mate,
that's correct.
I'm not on Checkrom, but I'm sure that he also has the modded TW launcher.
This one has some feautre more than standard samsungs TW launcher.
It's standard set to default homescreeen 3 (from 4)
Just press menu and then preference (not settings) to get in settings from launcher.
There u can f.ex. change the default homescreen (in "Homscreens") and order off apps in drawer (in "App-drawer") and so.
Just have a look on it.
Hope I helped.

Hello Hannibal,
Thank you so much for your reply, I appreciate it. It makes a lot of sense, however, I am unable to find the "preferences" you are referring to when i press menu. I only see Add, Wallpaper, Search, Notifications, Edit, Settings.
Am I missing something?
I am also using Widgetlocker.
Thank you!
If you press edit, do you see yellow ball with white pin inside? It marks says 'default screen' . But im on cm7 rom/adwlauncher tho.
Flashing your galaxy, press Y to continue..
Ok I'm sorry, like the preview post says, u have to hit "edit" then OR "menu".
I don't know which launcher he included in Checkrom.
Maybe u can choose default homscreen via the preview of all screens ("edit" or just pinch to zoom out)
Or, like me, u have to press "menu". (That would bring u to the settings menu I meant in my first post )
Sorry, my fold

Ok. When on any screen pinch (or menu/edit) to display all screens. Long press page 3 (home) and move it to page 1.
EDIT: Works on tw4.5 but not tw4. In tw4.5 the home screen shows a little house/home on the home screen which you can move anywhere.

Right, but when u don't have it, like TW4, u have to change default via the TW settings (press menu>menu>homscreens)
That what I'm talking about last post.
(My english isn't the best, I know )

Thank you guys for your help! I appreciate it.

single dot home screen?

So I removed all of the home screens, save for the main one. Before there were four or, but now this last one won't disappear. Is there a way to remove it, without launchers or roms, all that? Just a setting somewhere... Thanks
Well, you have to have one home screen, right?

Oh, I see. You'll have to use a custom launcher (like Nova, Epic, etc.) and disable "page indicator", or an Xposed module like GEM Xperia if you want to keep using the stock launcher, but also want customization options.

while looking at your lockscreen, slide to the right, you'll see a giant + sign, click that and add widgets from the list it gives you. You can also get rid of the widget on the main screen if you aren't a fan of it (the circle clock).

Very true you can get rid of it, but how do you restore it? I ditched mine the other day while making hasty moves and now I want it back but can't find it anywhere, its not in the list of lock screen widgets. Help is appreciated

I also cannot find a way to restore it other than turning off widgets in settings, lockscreen settings window. But shortcuts don't seem to work then.

How to set homescreen to middle?

Hi there, I just got the Moto Z (Droid). Its got its quirks but it's a pretty good phone. Who in their right mind decided that the left-most panel is good for being a homescreen? It's completely nerve-wrecking for me! I do not like third-party launchers like Nova or even Google launcher. Is there some way I can set the homescreen to the middle?
Thanks sooooo much in advance!

Yes but when you press the circle button to bring you to your homescreen it goes to the left-most panel, not the one in the middle.

No solution then...? It's a relatively easy thing to patch in, I wonder if we can get motorola/lenovo to add it in.
